George A. Kosco
George A. Kosco, 95 of Lorain died on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following a long illness.
Mr. Kosco was born on May 19, 1910 in Niagara, WI. He was retired from the hot mill at US Steel in Lorain. He retired in the mid 1970's after 47 years service. He was a member of the Church Of The Open Door, Elyria.
He was a member of the Steelworkers Union and it's retiree's. He enjoyed bowling and bowled on leagues. He and his wife experienced the first air conditioning in the US at the 1930's New York World Fair while in an exhibit called "World of Tomorrow." he enjoyed traveling and 45 years of playing golf with his wife.
Mr. Kosco is survived by his wife of 67 years, Wilma G. (nee Orban) Kosco, and a sister Irene Parrett of Lorain.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother John Kosco, and his sister Mary Taksar.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Monday, June 27, 2005 from 12:00 until funeral time at 1:30 pm. Rev. Robert Schroyer, associate pastor of the Church Of The Open Door officiating.
George A. Kosco will be buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain, OH.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Church Of The Open Door, 43275 Telegraph Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.

Charles F. Zimmerman
Charles F. Zimmerman, 85 of Lorain died on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at his home in Lorain after a long illness.
Mr. Zimmerman was born on October 31, 1919 in Lorain, OH and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the Church On The North Coast.
He was a US Army veteran, serving during WW II. He was wounded in the Battle of Normandy and was awarded a Purple Heart. He also recieved the American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and a World War II Victory Medal.
Mr. Zimmerman was a life member of the D.A.V. Louis Paul Proy Post # 20 and a life member of the military Order of the Purple Heart. He enjoyed working the Post Bingo games. He was a member of the DAV Post #20 Honor Guard for burial details for more than 20 years.
He was a retired machine operator from American Crucible. He retired in 1981 after 42 years service.
He enjoyed camping, traveling and his family.
He is survived by his wife Martha E. (nee Adam) Zimmerman, to whom he was married on Nov. 2, 1946, daughter Maria I. Turoczi of Cleveland, 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother Alfred Zimmerman of Lorain and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Zimmerman is preceded in death by his parents John and Lydia (nee Krebs) Zimmerman and 10 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 on Friday, June 17, 2005 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
Additional visitation will be Saturday, June 18, 2005 from 10:00 am until funeral time at 11:00 am at the Church On The North Coast, 4125 Leavitt Road, Lorain, Ohio. Pastor Louis Kayatin will officiate.
Charles F. Zimmerman will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH will full military honors provided by D.A.V. Louis Paul Proy Post # 20.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to New Life Hospice, c/o Community Health Partners Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44052.

Miriam E. Cutlip
Miriam E. Cutlip (nee Congos), 80 of Elyria Township, formerly of Lorain, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 following complications after an emergency surgery.
She was born November 27th, 1924 in East LeRoy, Ohio. She lived 21 years in the Painesville area. She moved to Lorain in 1945. She is a 60 year member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. She was an active choir member, the secretary/treasurer of the service guild for many years and involved with the Episcopal Church Woman.
Mrs. Cutlip was an accomplished vocalist, pianist and was active in many community programs in Painesville and Lorain. She and her family performed at school and church functions.
Miriam worked as a housekeeper from 1958 until 1968. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1969. She was employed by Willoughby West Hospital in the Prenatal Unit. She worked for two years as a hostess at McDonalds on Oberlin Ave in Lorain.
Miriam bowled on a senior league at Rebman's Recreation for 15 years, enjoyed crossword puzzles and a Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by her daughters Lorraine Robinson of Akron, Marlys Yohn of Vermilion, Marilyn Klinger of Sandusky and Star Geib of Elyria Township, son Lauris Cutlip of Bucyrus, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Roberta Lee Cutlip, parents Leander and Helga Congos (nee Korpi), sisters Dagmar, Delilah, Olga, Sigrid and LaVern, brothers Harold, William and Charles.
Friends may call at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer and Cool Funeral Home, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio on Saturday, September 24th from 10am to 1pm. Memorial services will immediately follow at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 647 Reid Ave in Lorain.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Episcopal Church of The Redeemer, 647 Reid Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052.

Patricia L. Maynard
Patricia L. Maynard, 56 (nee DeWitt) died on Friday, July 15, 2005, at University Hospital in Cleveland, OH following a brief illness.
Mrs. Maynard was born on September 3, 1948, in Dunbar, PA and has lived in Lorain for the past 52 years. She was a 1966 graduate of Lorain High School. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Church On The North Coast. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, decorating her home, helping others and shopping.
Mrs. Maynard is survived by her husband David A. Maynard to whom she was married on Nov. 25, 1967, her daughter, Nicole L. Giusti of Chesapeake, VA, son, Christopher S. Maynard of Chesapeake, VA, 2 grandchildren, sisters Audrey Brown of Plymouth, MI, Barbara Meier of Lorain, OH, brothers Barry DeWitt, Dwayne DeWitt, Ronnie DeWitt, Virgil DeWitt all of Lorain, and brother Roger DeWitt of Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence E. and Betty L. (nee White) DeWitt, sisters Doris Mendiola, and Peggy Waslewski.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Monday, July 18, 2005, from 10:00 am until funeral time at 12:00 PM. Minister Greg Ball, assistant pastor at the Church of The North Coast will officiate.
Patricia L. Maynard will be buried at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Twp., OH.

Ronald G. Zunt
Ronald G. Zunt, 67 of Grafton died on December 20, 2005 at his home unexpectedly.
Mr. Zunt was born in Vermilion, OH on June 23, 1938. He was a resident of the Lorain County area all his life. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean era. He was a retired electronics technician with NASA with more than 20 years service. He was a member of the American Veterans Association.
He is survived by a daughter Rhonda M. Zunt of Lima, son Gerald L. Zunt, sisters Beverly C. Hupfer of Huron, Nadene Renner of Tulsa, OK and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marlo and Erma (nee Larock) Zunt.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hume United Methodist Church, 5223 Norfolk St. Cridersville, OH 45806 on January 7, 2006 at 2:00 pm.
Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH 44052 is handling the arrangements.

Ruth E. DoBrunz
Ruth E. DoBrunz, (nee Long) 90 of Amherst died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home following a long illness.
Mrs. DoBrunz was born in Lorain, OH on November 12, 1915, and was a life long area resident. She was a homemaker.
She enjoyed crocheting, Cleveland Cavs and spending time with her Grandchildren
Mrs. DoBrunz is survived by daughters: Candyce Owens of Lorain, OH, son: Willard H. DoBrunz of Amherst, OH three grandchildren, and sister: Edna Cavanaugh of Lorain, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willard H. DoBrunz, Sr, parents Albert and O'Tillia (Rauser) Long .brothers Ed and Albert Long and sister Fredericka Cimino.
Services are private.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery Amherst Township, OH.

Michelle McCartney
Michelle McCartney, 62, of Elyria, passed away Monday, September 12, 2005, at home, following a four year battle with lung cancer. She was surrounded by her family when her Lord called her home. She was born October 18, 1942 in Long Beach, California and lived many places including Bermuda, Germany, Texas and Maine before settling in Lorain with her family 38 years ago.
Mrs. McCartney enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Christian Temple Disciples of Christ Church in Lorain and recently was an original member of her cancer support group at the Ireland Cancer Center. She was a true inspiration to her group.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Dennis, also of Elyria; daughter, Roberta (Mitch) Mitchell of Elyria; Denise (Rick) Woodward of Lorain; son, Dennis Michael (Wyvonnejenne) McCartney of Oxford, Pennsylvania; daughter, Melissa (Brian) Barker of Lorain; and sister, Pat (O’Hara) Mauceri of Reston, Virginia. Michelle was proud to be the grandmother of Amber, Amanda, Cody, Karlie, DJ, Madison, Christian (Mister) and Caleb (Bubba). She was preceded in death by her parents Eve and Fred Rainey, of Redding, California; father, Robert Wellman, of California; sister, Linda and grandson Zachary in 2000.
Friends may call Wednesday, September 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals at 1124 Fifth Street in Lorain, where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday. Pastor Bruce McCartney, nephew and pastor at Flint Hill Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama will officiate, assisted by Rev. Bradley J. Donahue, pastor of Christian Temple Disciples Of Christ. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Lorain.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 43099 North Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035-1051, Juvenile Diabetes. Walter E. "Bud" Dulaney
Walter E. "Bud" Dulaney, 73 of Lorain died on Tuesday, August 30, 2005, at Autumn Aegis Retirement Center in Lorain, OH following a long illness.
Mr. Dulaney was born on July 29, 1932, in Point Marvin, PA. He grew up in Carmichael, PA and moved to Lorain permanently in 1965. He was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Lorain.
He was a US Army veteran. He retired as a security officer with Downtown Detective Agency in Cleveland in 1981 after 10 years service.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Dulaney is survived by his wife Janet D. (nee Waldorf) Dulaney to whom he was married on August 15, 1964, daughter, Mary Opal Vickers of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, brother John Edward Dulaney of Pittsburgh, PA, sisters Mary Lou Greenlee of Pittsburgh, PA, and Ruth Ann St. Mary of Caledonia, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fred A. and Mary Opal (nee Simmons) Dulaney, and sister Genevieve Moninger.
Friends may call at Schwartz Spence Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH, on Thursday, September 1, 2005, from 2-4 PM. Additionally, friends may call Thursday evening from 6 until funeral time at 7:00 PM in the New Apostolic Church, 3929 Leavitt Road, Lorain.
Interment services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 2, 2005, in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township with full military honors provided jointly by the VFW Post 451 and the American Legion Post 30.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the New Apostolic Church, 3929 Leavitt Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.
