KELLY Mary Ellen Kelly, age 67, Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at O.S.U. Hospital East. She was the beloved mother of Debbie, Mike (Terri), Jeff (Christine), Doug (Tish), Janet (Bill). Also survived by husband, Jack; grandchildren, Michelle, Billy, Buffy, Robbie, Rene, Jeff and Emilee; 7 great-grandchildren; brother; sisters; and other relatives and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at COOK & SON-PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, 1631 Parsons Ave., where family will receive friends following the service.

LANMAN Colonel William Kelsey Lanman Jr., 96, of Tequesta, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at the Manors of Hobe Sound. Born in Columbus, Oh. he had been a resident of Tequesta for 28 years, coming from Glenview, Ill. Prior to retirement, he was a Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps., having served for 25 years. Colonel Lanman saw duty in the Pacific during WW II, was an instructor at Pensacola Naval Air Base and the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis and performed numerous other duties during his tenure. HE was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Bronze Star. He is survived by his sister, Harriet Fulton of Hobe Sound; and his friend, Isabel Pollen of Tequesta. Col. Lanman will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the AYCOCK FUNERAL HOME, Jupiter, Fla.

MALONEY Helen Jane Marguerite Maloney "Aunt Helen" to the Maloney Clan, age 83, Monday, March 26, 2001 at St. Angela Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born April 11, 1917 in Columbus along with her identical twin sister Mary Louise Margaret Maloney Gideon. Graduated from St. Peter School in 1931, St. Mary High School in 1935 and attended St. Mary of the Springs (Ohio Dominican College). Retired from Bureau of Employment Services, Procedures & Communications Department in 1975 after more than 38 years employment with the State of Ohio. Active member of St. Anthony Church, Heritage Group and Women's Club and many organizations including Delta Theta Chi Sorority - Ohio Alpha Chapter (64 years), St. Clara Auxiliary - Knights of St. John (42 years), Daughters of Erin (22 years) and Catholic Record Society (16 years). She was a special aunt to all her nieces and nephews, and cared for Grandpa Maloney until his death in 1971. Her special gift was being the family communicator, keeping aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in close touch. She is loved for her cheerfulness, generosity, and spirit of prayer. She is fondly and humorously remembered for her love of the Irish, her laugh, family reminisces, and her love of birds, dogs and cats. Helen cherished her time with family members in the Les Cheneaux Islands, Mich. She is preceded in death by her parents William P. and Alma J. (Thum) Maloney, sisters Julia Pauline Maloney, Alice Schirtzinger, Sr. Patricia Maloney, Mary Gideon (her twin), brothers Rev. Frank Maloney, Patrick Maloney, brother-in-law David Schirtzinger, nephew James Maloney and great-nephew Steven Marshall. She is survived by her sister, Rita (John) Versace; brother, Robert (Maggie) Maloney; sister-in-law, Katie Maloney; brother-in-law, Don Gideon; 33 nieces and nephews, Robert Schirtzinger, Rosemary Conroy, Patricia Marshall, Margaret Griesen, Ruth Schirtzinger, Philip Schirtzinger, Marie Taris, Edward Schirtzinger, Thomas Maloney, Mary C. Maloney, Brian Maloney, Eileen Maloney, John Maloney, William Maloney, Judith Gideon, Paul Gideon, Rev. Peter Gideon, John Gideon, Carol Bunn, Mark Gideon, Daniel Gideon, Barbara LaValle, Devin Versace, Candelora Versace, Lisa Versace, Mary Versace, Theresa Houston, Daniel Maloney, Kathleen Havens, Maureen Detwiler, Mary P. Maloney, Julia Nugent and Michael Maloney; 45 great-nieces and nephews; 13 great-great-nieces and nephews; and many friends. High St. (2 blocks north of Henderson Rd.), 268-8811, where a Rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Dr. Fr. John Swickard and Fr. Peter Gideon, Celebrants. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Helen wished for many Masses to be offered for the repose of her soul.

MEYER Hazel (Gordon) Meyer, 89, the beloved wife for 61 years of Joseph Meyer, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, Wexner Heritage House, Columbus. Born in Cincinnati, Oh., the daughter of Moses and Ida (Raffel) Gordon. Attended Cincinnati Art Academy and operated Hazel Meyer Employment Bureau in downtown Cincinnati. Moved to Springfield, Oh. in 1942, where she became an active board member and docent of the Springfield Museum of Art, from its earliest years. Continued her art education at Atlantic University, Palm Beach Jr. College and Wittenberg University. Served as an officer of the Wittenberg Guild, The Research Club of Springfield and as president of B'nai Brith Women. She was also a volunteer at St. John's Convalescing Home for many years and a devoted member of Temple Sholom, serving on its Board of Trustees and teaching in its religious school. Preceded in death by her husband and her sister Lillyan Willins of Diamondhead, MS. Survivors include 2 daughters, Judith (Gerald) Swedlow of Bexley and Susan (Chalmers) Coe, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Tracy (Richard Washbourne) Swedlow of San Francisco, Deborah (Dr. Barbara Brush) Swedlow of Boston, Pamela Swedlow, Catherine (Tom) Kauffman, Joanne and Jacqueline Feibel, all of Columbus; great-grandson, Alexander Kauffman of Columbus; sisters, Sophia Campbell of Cornelius, N.C. and Sylvia Weine of Kendall, Fla.; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral service will be held Friday 11 a.m., Jackson LYTLE & INGLING WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 2425 N. Limestone St., Springfield. Rabbi Marianne L. Givertz officiating. MILLS India Mills, age 86, Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at the Isabelle Ridgeway Nursing Home. Preceded in death by mother Lucille Dowe, sister Gladys Turner, brother Carl Dowe and son-in-law Dean Jordan. Survived by her daughter, Bernadine Jordan; granddaughters, Bonnie, Deanna and Beth Jordan; grandson, Dean Jordan, Jr.; great-grandsons, Ramon, Mylick and Derrall Jordan; great-granddaughters, Samone Myrick, Appassionata, Latoya and Barbara Jordan; great-great-granddaughter, Chyna Carter; nephews, Lloyd Turner, Gerald Turner, Kenneth, Harold and Richard; nieces, Wilma Turner, Mary Tobe; many other relatives and friends. MOONE Christopher T. Moone, infant son, died March 27, 2001 at Grant Hospital. He lived only a short time but will be loved forever our Little Angel. Survived by parents, Toni Moone and Michelle Brown; grandparents, Ted and Carol Moone of Columbus; grandfather, Chris Brown of Fla.; great-grandmothers, Marie Chadwick and Jane Brown; many aunts, uncles and cousins. NAPPI Terrill L. Nappi Sr., age 61, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at Doctors Hospital West of complications from cancer. Graduate of Aquinas High School, attended Cypress Wesleyan Church. Preceded in death by father Joseph J. Nappi, brother Joseph Nappi. Survived by wife, Nancy; mother, Lanore Jordan of Whittier, Calif.; sons, Terry (Stacy) Nappi, Jr. of Ostrander, Oh., Edward Nappi of Columbiana, Oh.; daughter, Beth (Darren) Hustead of Reed Spring, Mo.; step-children, Evonne (Ian) Davies of Marysville, Oh. and Ron (Tracy) Arnold of Meadville, Pa.; grandchildren, Kyle, Emma, Zachary, Andrew, Luke, Lauren, Crower, Amanda, Jennifer, Rian and Kolya; sister, Lynna (Mike) Ampe of New Port Beach, Calif.; brother, Phillip Nappi of Nashville, Tenn.; many nieces, nephews and good friends. PARSLEY Joann Parsley, 63, of Columbus, beloved mother and grandmother, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001. Retired after 30 years of service as a retail manager at Schottenstein's North. Survived by her children, Laura Fann, David (Deborah) Parsley, John Parsley, Brenda (Richard) Pletcher and Alice Dallara; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. PERSINGER Jessie James "Jim" Persinger, Jr., age 55, of Columbus, formerly of Rushville, March 27, 2001 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by loving wife, Susan; daughter, Staci (Todd) Sheppard, Somerset; granddaughter, Kelsie Linn; brother, Richard (Patsy) Persinger, Freesoil, Mich.; sisters, Diana Brown, Zanesville and Betty Ann Larrabee, Crooksville; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and close friends. RAMIREZ Landon Shane Ramirez, age 19, much loved son, cool brother and great friend, died March 27, 2001 in a car accident. He will be greatly missed. A 2000 graduate of Worthington Kilbourne H.S. where he was a captain of the Ice Hockey Team. Attending Columbus State Community College.
