Ralph Montell 'Monty' Provence

Ralph Montell 'Monty' Provence, 59, Hurst, TX died September 3, 2004 in Ft. Worth. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 7, 2004 at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Bill Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Monty was born October 17, 1944 in Jackson County to Ben J. and Iva Dell (Hudson) Provence. He graduated from Altus High School in 1962 and attended Altus JR. College for two years. He then attended Culinary School in San Antonio, TX. Monty earned his private pilot license and loved flying. He served as an Altus City Fireman and later at the Altus Air Force Base. He worked as Head Chef at the NCO club until late 1986. He has worked at Landmark Structures in Ft. Worth for the past several years. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, playing the piano and dancing. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Gentry and husband Randy of Oklahoma City, OK; three sons, Jim Provence of Keller, TX, Greg Provence and wife Toni of Watauga, TX and Danny Robbins and wife Zina of Altus, OK; his grandchildren, Becca Gentry of Oklahoma City, OK, Brandon and Zack Provence of Keller, TX, Taylor Provence of Bridgeport, TX, Ryan Bean of Bedford, TX and Rachael and Daniel Robbins of Altus, OK, close companion Jeri Toudouze and many friends.

Penelope (Penny) M. Rose

Penelope (Penny) M. Rose, 64, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at her son's home in Altus, Oklahoma following a lengthy battle with Leukemia. Private family services will take place at future date. Arrangements are under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

Born Penelope M. Harlow, in Boston, Massachusettes, to Robert B. and Elsa V. (Legsdin) Harlow. She divided her time between Port Charlotte, FL. and Petersham, MA, where she and her late husband (Donald R. Cross) had managed Petersham Country Club's Golf Shop for over 20 years.

She leaves behind her mother, Elsa Harlow; sister, Ann Simmons; two sons, Scott and Gregg Rose; one daughter, Kim Lynch and four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father and brother. Burial will be in Barre , MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jackson County Memorial Hospital Hospice Altus, Oklahoma 73521.

Lilyan "Dot" Wade

Lilyan "Dot" Wade, 93, Altus, died Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at English Village Manor. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2004 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Bill Osborne officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

She was born on October 29, 1910 in Lanius, Texas to Robert C. and Maggie (Roberts) Wade. They came to Jackson County in 1915 where she attended school at Hess. Ms. Wade worked at Central Pharmacy for 30 years as a bookkeeper and clerk. She loved gardening, fishing, and vacationing with her extended family. She was a charter member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

She was survived by nieces and nephews, Doris Fueglein of Altus; Irene Barker, Robert, MaryLou, Roy and Mildred Barker all of Sherman, Texas; Don and Ruth Ann Selby of Allen, Texas; Gary, Linda, Brent, and Alec Nichols of Wichita Falls, Tx; Steve Shirley, and Kaysi Fueglein of Pampa, Tx; Glen, Gretchen and Samantha Newberry, Courtney and Travis Littlejohn, Kent, Heather, and Justin Selby of Wichita, Ks; Heather and Jonathan Nunez of Allen, Tx; and Kevin Nichols of Austin, Tx.

Mike Billarrial

Mike Billarrial, 56, Altus, died Friday, November 19, 2004 at his home. A prayer service will be 6 p.m. Monday at Kincannon Funeral Home officiated by Epifanio Sanchez, Jr. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kincannon Funeral Home with Rev. John Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow services at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

He was born on January 18, 1948 in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Alvino and Genoveva F. (Flores) Billarrial, Sr. He attended Altus Public Schools.

He married Rosa Castillo on August 17, 1966 in Altus. He remarried Raymunda Lopez in Altus in 1978. He worked at the Elk's Golf and County Club and was of the Pentacostal Faith. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing pool, painting, joking around with his friends and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jose Angel; two sisters, Genoveva and Sylvia; four nephews, Edward Gamez, Jose Angel Gallardo, Carlos Gallardo, Basilio "Randy" Billarrial; two nieces, Anita Gamez and Rita Marie Billarrial.

He is survived by four daughters, Annette Sanchez, Esther Billiarrial, Genoveva Billarrial and Christina Bermudez; four brothers, Bitor Billarrial, Alvino Billarrial, Jr, Jose Bidal Billarrial and wife Nora, Alfredo Billarrial; six sisters, Teresa Gallardo, Francis Gamez, Victoria Gonzales and husband Leon, Juanita Castillo, Virginia Becerra, Rosie Cote and Husband Roland; six grandchildren, Matthew Sanchez, Ariel Sanchez, Raul Sanchez II, Aurora Sanchez, Idalis Bermudez, Jesse Bermudez; several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.

Pallbearers will be Alfredo Billarrial, Jr., Jerald Castillo, Brian Gamez, Victor Billarrial, Jr, Kyle Derr, Tommy Flores and Michael Gonzalez.

Frances Garcia

Frances Garcia, 71, Altus, died Thursday October 28, 2004 at her home. Rosary Services are scheduled for 6:00 P.M. Sunday, October 31, 2004 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 1, 2004 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Joe Aldridge officiating. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Frances was born May 11, 1933 in Creedmore, TX to Jose and Juanita (Garza) Salazar. She married Alfredo Garcia on July 31, 1948 in Brownfield, TX. She moved to Altus in December 1965 and raised eleven children on her own. Frances worked tirelessly as a homemaker, was a devoted mother and grandmother and very much enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook, listen to gospel music and make quilts for her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Altus.

She was preceded in death by parents; her daughter, Maria Louisa Garcia; two sisters, Paula Salazar and Tana Gonzalez and her borhter, Jesse Salazar.

She is survived by seven daughters and their husbands, Mary and John Guerra, Lydia and Freddie Alcorta, Irene and Raul Guerra, Lisa Sanchez, Flora Lopez, Janie and Clem Farley and Rita Garcia, all of Altus, OK; four sons, Alfredo and Elodia Garcia Jr. of Lawton, OK, Gilbert and Tina Garcia of Altus, OK, Pedro and Kris Garcia of Martha, OK and Rudy and Janie Garcia of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Regina and Lewis Brown of Amarillo, TX; two brothers, Fidencio and Tilde Salazar of Brownfield, TX. Vincente and Tina Salazar of Lubbock, TX; twenty eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Leslie Otis Brown

Leslie Otis Brown, Sr., age 74, of Gould, Oklahoma, died Thursday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be Monday, November 22 at 10:00 A.M. at the Kincannon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Bohanan officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis, OK under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

Leslie Otis Brown was born October 14, 1930 in Melrose, New

Mexico to Jess and Armel Pauline (Vaughan) Brown. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1948. He attended Western Oklahoma State College and received his EMT certification. In February of 1953 Mr. Brown married Pearl Marie Palmateer, in Portalis, New Mexico. He worked as a draftsman with the Bureau of Reclamation at Lake Tom Steed until completion. He worked as an E.M.T. for Brown's Ambulance Service and then as a director at Apache, OK. He was most recently with Equipment Services and Welding working with his son and brother. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking and metal work, yard work, animals, golfing, the boy scouts and most of all spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jess Brown, his mother, Pauline Mayhon and step father, Bill Mayhon.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Pearl Marie Brown; four , daughters, Delonna Smalts of Wewoka, OK, Carmela Walker and husband Dennis of Lexington, TX, Rhonda Nelson and husband Dan of Weatherford, OK and Julia Campbell and husband Louie of Gould,OK; two sons, Les Brown and wife Josie of Altus, OK; Jessie Brown and Teri Brown of FT. Worth, TX; four sisters, Viola Pickel and husband Pete of Clovis, N.M, Ethel May Pricer of Bloomfield, N.M.; Thelma McCarty and husband Charley of Reserve, N.M.; Helen Pate and husband Carol of Clovis, N.M; three brothers, Raymond Brown and wife Joyce of Ft. Summner, N.M, Marvin Brown and wife Patty of Altus, OK and Melvin Brown and wife Gladys of Tiban, N.M; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several neices and nephews and many friends.

John Earl Burrows

John Earl Burrows, 76, Altus, died Sunday, December 5, 2004 at his home. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 8, 2004 in the Memorial Chapel at Kincannon Funeral Home with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Burial will follow services at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Snyder, OK. under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

John Earl was born July 12, 1928 in Mt. Park, OK to John Earl and Minnie Alice (Newton) Burrows Sr. He attended school at Spring Hill and Cooperton. He married Imogene Perry on September 27, 1950 in Frederick, OK. To this union, three sons were born. John worked hard to provide for his family. He worked for Senator Gilmer Capps for over thirty four years until his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed reading and was a member of the Church of Christ in Snyder, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Chester and a sister, Lillian.

He is survived by his wife of fifty four years,Imogene of the home; three sons, Billy Earl Burrows and wife Barbara of Midwest City, OK; Bobby Gene Burrows and wife Kathy of Del City, OK; Benny Dean Burrows of Altus, OK; a brother, Walter Dee Burrows of Altus,OK; five grandchildren and many friends.

The Burrows family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m . at Kincannon Funeral Home.

R.C. Caines

R.C. Caines, 61, Altus, died Monday October Monday 25, 2004 at his home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at the Altus Air Force Base Chapel with Chief Chaplin McGugan officiating. Interment will follow services at the Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock, TX under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Roger Clark Caines was born February 21, 1943 in Sumpter, SC to Walter and Doris (Duvall) Caines. He attended school at Trenton High School in Trenton, NJ. He joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17. He married Mariann Linn on November 28, 1964 in Big Springs, TX. To this union, two children were born. He retired from the Air Force after twenty years of service as a SR MSGT. He owned and operated Salem 66 on Brownfield HWY in Lubbock, TX from 1981 to 1987. He then went to work for Lockheed until 1999 when he moved to Altus to work Civil Service with the A Team at AAFB.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching TV and movies.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Craig Caines.

He is survived by his wife, Mariann of the home; a daughter, Cathy Black and husband Stephen of Katy, TX; a son Ron Caines and wife M'Lissa of Victoria, TX; five grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley Caines and Caroline, Caitlin and Conner Black; a sister, Carol Graziano of Lake City, FL and many friends.

Thurman Troy "Dinky" Evans

Thurman Troy "Dinky" Evans, 67, Altus, died Saturday, November 20, 2004 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Kincannon Funeral Home with Lloyd Lopez officiating. Interment will follow services at the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

He was born on February 7, 1937 in Utica, Oklahoma to John S. and Mary J. (Parker) Evans. He attended school in Blue, Oklahoma. He entered the U. S. Army in November of 1959 and was honorably discharged in February of 1963. He married Darlene Holt on December 28, 1959 in Vernon, Texas. He worked in roofing and construction most of his adult life. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting, c. b. radio and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers.

He is survived by his wife Darlene of the home in Altus; three daughters, Darla Gerst, Kansas City, Kansas; Cindy James of Arkansas; Donna Bevers of Altus; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Sharon Evans, Blair; Jeffery Evans of Altus; one sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Don Parrot, Durrant, Ok; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Gayle Evans, Muskogee, Ok; sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many friends.

Kelly Graves

Kelly Graves, 36, Frederick, died Thursday October 28, 2004 at her home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday November 1, 2004 at the Lighthouse Chapel in Frederick with Pastor Jimmy Chandler and Pastor Tom Peevyhouse officiating. Interment will follow at the Frederick Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Kelly Ann Elizabeth Kohrman was born October 27, 1968 in Union Town, PA to Richard and and Sarah (Washabaugh) Kohrman. She graduated from Albert Gallatin High School in Pennsylvania. She married Roy Graves on October 29, 1992 in North Carolina. To this union, three sons were born. Kelly loved animals and devoted much time to wildlife rehabilitation. She worked tirelessly as a homemaker, wife and mother. She enjoyed reading.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Washabaugh; her son, Ethan Graves and her favorite aunt, Betty Kohrman.

She is survived by her husband Roy of the home; her sons, Zakariah, Ian and Mason Graves of Frederick, OK; her parents, Richard and Patricia Kohrman of Point Marion, PA; two sisters, Heather Vavrek and Gretchen Bircher both of Point Marion; PA and many friends.
