Florence Marie Parker

Florence Marie Parker, 90, Shawnee, died Wednesday in a local hospital.

The daughter of John D. and Maude Alice (Wynn) Dixon was born Aug. 21, 1910, in Oklahoma City. She came to Shawnee as a young child and moved to Hazel Dell community before moving to Shawnee.

She was a nurses' aide at Baxter Clinic. She also worked at Douglas Aircraft, Toler Hospital and Harps Produce.

On Dec. 31, 1927, she married Boyd E. Parker in Shawnee.

Mrs. Parker was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Shawnee.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include her husband, of Shawnee; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Elton Leon and Beverly Parker of Topeka, Kan., and Melvin Boyd Parker of Shawnee; a daughter and son-in-law, Dema Nell and Roland Lee of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Mike Craig will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Henry Cernocky Jr.

Henry "Skip" Cernocky Jr., Prague, died Tuesday in Oklahoma City. He was 43.

Cernocky was born June 10, 1957, in Prague to Henry and Joyce (Meeks) Cernocky. He lived in Lincoln County most of his life and was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include three sons, Chris Cernocky, Shawnee; Joseph Cernocky and Clinton Cernocky, both of Prague; two daughters, Crystal Skaggs, Arizona; Angela Cernocky, Prague; sister, Deborah Swink, Prague; granddaughter, Destiny Michelle Skaggs; niece, Kenita Collins; nephew, Randy Swink.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Kellerby Cemetery, north of Prague, with the Rev. Terry Dennis officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.

Nola C. Uhlfelder

Nola C. Uhlfelder of Shawnee died Tuesday at an Oklahoma City nursing home. She was 80.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mildred M. (Bruner) Steele

Mildred M. (Bruner) Steele, 62, died Monday.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at New Life Church of God in Christ, Oklahoma City. Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Harris Funeral Services, Oklahoma City.

Jessie O. Branson

Jessie O. Branson, 81, Tecumseh, died Friday in a local hospital.

She was born March 12, 1917, in Tecumseh to Jim and Zora Shirey. She married Hadley H. Branson on Nov. 1, 1935, in Tecumseh. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Heavener.

She is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Bobbie St. Clair, Durant, Wanda and Dean Davis, Purcell, Eldena and Kenneth Wade, Shawnee, and Joveta and Robert Owen, Shawnee; a son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Sandy Branson, Tecumseh; two daughters-in-law, Coleen Branson, Florida, and Jeanie Branson, Ada; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara McLaughlin and Bessie Coley, both of Tecumseh; and a brother Leon Shirey, Tecumseh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Ronnie and Billy Branson; a great-grandson; three brothers; and three sisters.

Services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.

Augusta K. Bradley

Longtime Prague resident Augusta K. Bradley died Friday in Prague. She was 88.

Mrs. Bradley was born Aug. 21, 1910, in St. Louis, Mo., to Charles W. and Lula K. (Sedlacek) Moydell. She married Mace Bradley on Nov. 9, 1932, in Seminole.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Prague.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 6, 1986; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Rondell C. and Delores Bradley, Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Tom Turner, Prague; four brothers, Milton Moydell, Shawnee, Keith Moydell, Prague, Chester Moydell, Del City, and Lester Moydell, Enid; one sister, Virginia Garrett, Shawnee; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Prague, with the Rev. Jim Powell officiating. Burial will follow at the Prague Cemetery.

Mildred Jane Lasenberry

Mildred Jane Lasenberry, 74, of Aransas Pass, Texas, died Thursday at her home.

She was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Oklahoma to Claude and Jessie Branch.

She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Lasenberry in 1993.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Dale and Ann Lee Lasenberry, Macomb; daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Bill Shinn, Aransas Pass, Texas; brother, Curtis Branch, Alamogordo, N.M.; and five grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Prairie View Cemetery of Macomb under the direction of Charlie Marshall Funeral Home of Aransas Pass, Texas.

Eleanor Kay Dixon

Eleanor Kay Dixon, 19, of Oklahoma City died Sunday.

She was born Sept. 12, 1981, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Joe Edward Dixon Jr. and Suzanne (England) Dixon.

She graduated from Fort Worth Christian High School in 2000. She was a freshman student at Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City majoring in occupational therapy. At the university, she was a member of Beta Beta Sigma sorority.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include mother Suzanne Dixon of Oklahoma City; father, Joe Dixon Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Erin Dixon of Oklahoma City and Emily Dixon of Oklahoma City; aunt and uncle, Steve and Kay Lashley of Seminole; cousins, Jay and Laura Lashley of Seminole; uncle, Richard England of Tulsa; grandparents, Idus and Winifred England of Seminole, Anne and Walter Leaver of Nashville, Tenn., and Joe Dixon Sr. of Las Vegas, Nev.; and many friends and family members.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Walter C. Leaver III officiating. Burial will be at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Rudy Pfeiffer

Maud resident Rudy Pfeiffer, 93, died Sunday at Mission Hill Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Nov. 23, 1907, in Bookeuau, Germany, the son of John Pfeiffer.

On Aug. 9, 1931, he married Clara Bell Pointer. After her death, he married Jean (Holt) Hamm July 2, 1990.

He owned and operated Wilcox Auto Supply in Maud for several years. He was later employed at Seminole Auto Supply until his 1994 retirement.

Preceding Pfeiffer in death were his first wife, his parents and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rudy Joe and Mary Pfeiffer of Neosho, Mo., and Rod and Belinda Pfeiffer of Newalla; daughter, Barbara Lang of Seminole; sister, Lucy Peitz of Germany; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church, Maud. Burial will be in Cummings Cemetery; arrangements are under the direction of Knight Funeral Home.

Lillian Deloris Adams

Lillian Deloris Adams, 86, died Monday in a local hospital.

She was born on April 14, 1914, in Lynn County, Kan., the daughter of William S. and Lou Ella (Michaels) Boone.

On Jan. 6, 1956, she married Paul Adams.

She moved to Shawnee in 1948 and lived here since.

Preceding Adams in death were her husband and parents.

Survivors include sisters, Dorthea Brown of Farmington, N.M., and Cora Merrick of Harrisonville, Mo.; nephew, Glen Nix of Shawnee; and a number of other nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Glen Pence officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.

Hazel Early

Hazel Early, a longtime Sparks resident, died Tuesday in Meeker at the age of 83.

Services are pending under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

N.H. Nall

N.H. "Buck" Nall died Monday at his home in Seminole. He was 95.

He was born March 15, 1905, in Mena, Ark., to George W. and Lou J. (Brumley) Nall. He was the fifth of seven children.

His family came to Oklahoma around 1910, settling around the Eufaula-Henryetta area. He came to the Seminole area in the late 1920s working in many areas of the oilfield.

Nall drilled in Louisiana for many years also.

During the war years, he worked in the shipyards and returned to Seminole to go in business with his brother forming the Nall Brothers Trucking and Dozer Service.

Following his retirement, he worked his cattle ranch.

Nall married Genevieve "Genny" Hickman on Aug. 25, 1931. She preceded him in death on Sept. 6, 1999.

He also was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

The family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Lee Henderson

Lee Henderson, 90, of Newalla died Saturday.

She was born in Mena, Ark., March 2, 1910, the daughter of Marvin and Lula (Shaw) Cummings.

She lived in Newalla for 56 years, working as a cook for Newalla School for 15 years.

Preceding Henderson in death was her husband Cecil; son, Horace; two grandsons; her parents; and sister.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Lila Henderson of Newalla; daughters and son-in-law, JoAnn and Jack Finchum of Newalla and Lena Faye Withrow of Newalla; sister and brother-in-law, Reba and Harrold Richardson of McLoud; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Asa Smith Funeral Chapel in Harrah. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.
