C.V. Parsons

C.V. Parsons died Wednesday at his home near Seminole. He was 75.

He was born July 6, 1924, in Paden. He was the son of Thomas Harold and Hattie (Davis) Parsons.

He was a resident of the Seminole area all of his life. He graduated from Prairie Valley High School.

Parsons was a rancher and farmer. He married Ruth Frazier on May 27, 1950, in Seminole.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Parsons of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, John and Christina Parsons, Seminole; Mike Parsons, Seminole; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Pate Matthews, Moore; one brother, Harold and wife Doris Parsons, Prague; two sisters, Bertha Mobley, Prague; Alma and husband Doyle Russell, Prague; six grandchildren, Shea Whitefield, Scott Whitefield, Charles Matthews Jr., Leah Matthews, Alyson Parsons and Cory Parsons.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Prague with Harry Smith and Diane Baker, officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.

Pearl J. Stucker

Pearl J. Stucker of Wanette died Tuesday in Oklahoma City. She was 71.

Born July 7, 1928, in Higgins, Texas, she was the daughter of Fred and Alice Stinle.

Surviving are her son, Ernie Stucker of Bethany; daughter, Mary Alice Edgmon of Higgins, Texas; brothers Floyd Stinle, Harold Stinle and Alvin Stinle; sister Lavita Estrada; grandchildren Kandy Smith, Tell Edgmon and Casey Hoover; and longtime companion Doyle Heatley.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel in Bethany. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery under the direction of Bill Merritt Funeral Service.

Corena Mae England

Corena Mae England of Maud died Monday in Ada. She was 69.

She was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Seminole to Misselda and Jimpsey Tiger.

She married John Edmondson and later married George F. England. Working as a secretary for Ed Tanyan, she spent most of her life in Seminole County. She was a member of the Hilltop Indian Presbyterian Church in Wewoka.

Preceding her in death were both husbands and one daughter.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Maurice Spencer of Maud; Edith and Gordon Cleary of Asher; Kathy Whitson and Richard Watts of Seminole; five sons and daughters-in-law, Larry England and Hettie Lindsey of Seminole; William and Terri England of Adersville, Ga.; Samuel England of Maud; Micheal and Arilie England of Maud; George England Jr. of Maud; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Hilltop Indian Presbyterian Church in Wewoka with elder Kelly Tiger officiating with elder Robert Kernal assisting. Burial will follow at Tiger Family Cemetery. A night service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hilltop Indian Presbyterian Church in Wewoka.

Arrangements are under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home of Konawa.

Lee Hulin

Lee Hulin, 93, Tecumseh died Tuesday.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Max McKee and the Rev. Robert Rider officiating. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery.

Other information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Jo Ellen Hodges Heath

Jo Ellen Hodges Heath of Seminole died Tuesday at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was 78.

She was born May 27, 1921, in Holdenville. She was the daughter of Ed Turner and Lula Turner.

She moved to Seminole from Holdenville 54 years ago.

She married O.M. Hodges and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1969. She later married Paul K. Heath and he preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 1987.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Seminole.

She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Marvin Fuller of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Annette and Gary Macomber of Bakersfield, Calif.; Sandy and Paul Smith of Seminole; seven grandchildren, Melissa Campbell of Philadelphia, Pa.; John Fuller of Denver, Colo.; Hillary Fuller of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Shelly King of Bakersfield, Calif.; Shanell Smith of Seminole; Kyle Smith of Seminole.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kelvin Moseley officiating. Burial will be at Little Cemetery.

Doris C. Adcock

Former Shawnee resident Doris C. Adcock of Durant died April 8. She was 75.

She was born Aug. 26, 1924, to Fred Guy and Nola Agnes Sarber in Okemah. She was a retired secretary who worked at The Durant Daily Democrat and the First United Methodist Church.

She married James Gilbert Adcock on Jan. 26, 1945, in San Francisco, Calif. She was a member of the Newcomers Club, Ester Circle, Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and the First United Methodist Church in Durant.

She earned her bachelor's degree in business from The University of Oklahoma.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and brothers Don and Warren Sarber.

She is survived by daughters Pat Gwyn and husband Gary of Waco, Texas; Denise Mitchell and husband James of McKinney, Texas; son Mike Adcock and wife Dona of Shawnee; sister Mary Lou Hamm of Bullard, Texas; grandchildren Todd Adcock and Jon Mark Adcock, both of Norman, Taylor Adcock, Shawnee; James Michael Mitchell and Jordan Mitchell, both of McKinney, Texas; Mandy Mullins of Durant, Andi Gywn of Canyon, Texas, and Suzy Kinser, Frederick; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Oklahoma Division, 4323 N.W. 63, No. 110, Oklahoma City, OK 73116-1513 or Marshall Memorial Hospital Hospice, 1 Hospital Drive, Madill, OK 73446.

Ethel R. Garner

Ethel R. Garner of Harrah died Tuesday. She was 91.

She was born to Henry and Molly (Markman) Lankford Sept. 14, 1908, in Anadarko.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earnest Garner; one brother and three sisters.

Survivors include her son, Boyd Garner of Harrah; four daughters, Betty Lawrence of Jacksonville, Fla.; Lola Bowen of Oklahoma City; Lorene Plantee of Florida; Ruby Harashe of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Travis Lankford of Midwest City; four sisters, Lela Schiebaum of Oklahoma City; Mildred Reese of Oklahoma City; Sally Wallace of Purcell; Wilma Lee of Cyril; 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Asa Smith Funeral Chapel, with burial at Memory Lane Cemetery, both in Harrah. Arrangements directed by Asa Smith Funeral Service.

Sarah Lillian Clower

Sarah Lillian Clower of Tecumseh died Wednesday in Shawnee. She was 86.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of God in Tecumseh with the Rev. Todd Tiffin officiating. Burial will follow in Cummings Cemetery.

Other information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

L.J. Morin

L.J. Morin of Shawnee died Sunday in Shawnee. He was 7.

L.J. was born July 28, 1992, in Oklahoma City to Lowell Morin and Brandi Ash. He had lived in Shawnee all his life, was in the first grade at Horace Mann Elementary and was a Boy Scout Tiger.

Survivors include his mother, Brandi Ash, Shawnee; father, Lowell Morin, Shawnee; sister, Amber N. Morin, Shawnee; grandmother, Nola O'Conor, Shawnee; aunt and uncle, Amy and Ron Ash, Kentucky; uncle, Patrick Shopshire, Oklahoma City; great-aunt, Mary Baker, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alpha Lee McBeth; grandfather, Robert Lee McBeth; and uncle, Junior McBeth.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rick Parker officiating.

Thomas Deldon Chastain

Thomas Deldon Chastain died Sunday in Prague, He was 74.

He was born Feb. 3, 1925, in Mt. Holley, Ark. Chastain was a resident of Prague and a member of the First Christian Church.

He was a retired truck driver. He married Ovie Raines on July 25, 1962, in Pine Bluff, Ark.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Ovie Chastain of the home; two stepdaughters, Ellen Hannabach, Prague; Shirley Greenwaldt, Palm Dale, Calif; two brothers, Dewey Chastain, Star City, Ark.; Charles Chastain, Arkansas; two sisters, Kowanda May, California; Faye Witharm, California; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Little Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Raines officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.

Jim Antonelli

McLoud resident Jim Antonelli died Saturday. He was 57.

He was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Little Rock, Ark., to Frank and Edith (Marzoula) Antonelli.

Antonelli married Loretta Feuerborn Jan. 19, 1968.

He was raised in Haileyville, Okla. He graduated from Haileyville High School in 1960. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was discharged in 1967.

He was a 1971 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma. He worked for State Farm Insurance as a claims adjuster in Oklahoma City from 1971 to 1974. He became a State Farm agent in McLoud in 1974 and retired July 31, 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Mike Parsons, Oklahoma City; sons, Steven Antonelli, his fiancee, Anjilynn Lewis, and son, Garreth, Lincoln, Neb.; Andy Antonelli, Midwest City; Brian Antonelli, Oklahoma City; Brad Antonelli, Tulsa; grandson, Joshua Parsons; brother, Ron Antonelli, Houston, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wake will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Harrah. Mass services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Harrah. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.

Otis W. Terry

Shawnee resident Otis W. Terry died Sunday at a local hospital. He was 95.

He was born July 14, 1904, in Holdenville to C.C. and Emma (Lee) Terry.

He married Beulah Gentry Dec. 23, 1928, in Holdenville.

He worked as a farmer in Hughes County most of his life until late 1968, when he and his wife moved to Shawnee. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife, son and great-grandson.

Survivors include his daughter, Geneva Gollahon, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Mary Terry, St. Louis, Mo.; daughter-in-law, June Terry, Shawnee; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Bessie Bates, Ruby Keim and Velma Ward.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Fite officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
