Chandler resident Juanita Evans, 84, died Friday.
Services are pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Anthony B. Kubiak
Anthony "Tony" B. Kubiak, 65 of Harrah, died Wednesday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Karla, of the home; son, Phil Kubiak of Muskogee; daughter, Kim Clodfelter of Florida; two stepdaughters, Kim Hoffman of Texas and Susan Bowers of Harrah; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David Kubiak Sr. and Virginia of McLoud and Benny and Paula Kubiak of Davis; sister, Evelyn Wise of Midwest City; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Justine Moran of Texas; and many other family members.

Wake services will be 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Harrah. Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow at St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery of Harrah under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service.

W.E. Mayberry
W.E. "Bill" Mayberry, 90, of Chandler died Wednesday.

Survivors include his wife, Inez Mayberry of the home; two sons, Ed Mayberry of Meeker and Randall Mayberry of Sapulpa; one daughter Betty Matheson of Chandler; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Star Valley Cemetery in Chandler with Jerry Matheson officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

John Novotny
Longtime Seminole resident John Novotny, 59, died Tuesday.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Sherwin, of the home; five sisters and their spouses; Dorothy and George Kroos and Jane and Jim McGill, all of Prague; Louise and Raz Wilkerson and Jean and Lester Quary, Meeker; and three brothers and their spouses, Nancy and Tony Cagle, Shawnee, Frank and Doris Novotny, Prague, and Jim Novotny and Don Novotny, Seminole; 19 nieces and nephews and their families.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Little Cemetery with the Rev. Carol Whitfield officiating.

Martha Novotny
Lifelong Seminole resident Martha Fern Novotny, 61, died Tuesday at a Seminole hospital.

Survivors include her mother, Norma Anderson of Bowlegs; daughters, Teresa Hasbell of Seminole, and Starla Burns of Bowlegs; brothers, John Smith and Jerry Smith, both of Bowlegs; and three grandchildren, Williams Burns, Bobby Hasbell Jr., and Chance Burns.

Private graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Little Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Burns officiating.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Richard Napoleon Brazell
Richard Napoleon "Dick" Brazell, 78, Bristow, died Thursday at his home.

Survivors include his sons, Gordon Dye, Bristow, and Donald Brazell, Bristow; daughters, Deanna Chandler, Tulsa, Sandy Elliot, Bristow, Teresa McShane, Bristow; and sisters, Vausey Kramer, Konawa, and Nadine Collins, Shawnee.

Services will be 10 a.m., Monday at Swearington Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Liggett officiating. Burial will follow in Little Cemetery.

Ruth Underwood
Services for Ruth Underwood, 84, Shawnee, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church.

She died Thursday at a local hospital. Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel is in charge of services.

Rondell C. Bradley
Rondell C. Bradley, 67, of Prague died Friday at his home.

Services are pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.

Ruth Underwood
Ruth Underwood, 84, of Shawnee died Thursday at a local hospital.

She was born Feb. 2, 1918, in Corinne, Okla., the daughter of Charles Bert and Mary Alice (Hattabaugh) Bumpas.

Underwood attended Draughn Business College for two years. She worked in civil service for the state of Oklahoma and managed a Frigidaire appliance business in Carthage, Mo., for 28 years.

She married William Underwood Sr. on Oct. 8, 1939.

She lived in Carthage for 28 years before moving to Shawnee in 1988.

Underwood was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Eastern Star, WMU Missions and the China Painting Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Paul Bumpas of Hugo; and a sister, Lois Holland of Hugo.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William Underwood Jr. and Leigh Underwood of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Ronald Underwood of Honduras; a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Pauline Bumpas of Hugo; a brother, Hurston Bumpas of Wichita; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jimmie Evelyn and Elvis Smith of Ponca City; two sisters-in-law, O'Neita Garguilo of Ponca City and Fern Underwood of Tulsa; and five grandchildren, William Underwood III, Matthew Underwood, Anne Underwood, John Underwood and Jefferson Underwood.

A service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hugo. A committal service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Jessyka Jeweline Lovos
Jessyka Jeweline "Aunt Jessie" Lovos, 74, of Ocean Park, Wash., died Feb. 22 at her home.

She was born Sept. 9, 1927, in McAlester, the daughter of Jess M. and Mattie Bernice (Ennis) Luna.

Lovos grew up in various towns in Oklahoma, including McAlester, Lamar, Calvin, Tecumseh and Shawnee.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, she worked as a nurse's aide and attended LPN school.

She moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where she lived for 10 years.

She married into the Thibodeaux family and was divorced after a short time.

Lovos also lived for a short time in southern California, Lake Charles, La., and Seattle, Wash.

In Seattle, she met and married Danny Lovos in 1989. He was a coast guard and off-shore seaman. In Seattle, she worked as an LPN and, around 1990, moved with her husband to the Ocean Park area.

She was affiliated with the Knights of Columbus and the Ocean Park Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, L.J. Luna of Shawnee and Leroy Luna of McAlester; and her husband.

Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Lowery of Shawnee; several sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and friends in many states.

Lovos' was buried alongside her husband in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore.

Memorial and burial services were arranged through Hughes-Ransom Cemetery and Penttila's Chapel by the Sea of Long Beach, Wash.

The family designated the American Cancer Society, 1599 Clifton Road N.E., Atlanta, GA 30329 as appropriate for memorial contributions.

Rondell C. Bradley
He was born April 24, 1934, in Prague, the son of Radford Mace Bradley and Augusta Katherine (Moydell) Bradley.

He was reared in the Prague area and graduated in 1953 from Centerview High School.

Bradley served in the U.S. Air Force for four years before serving in the U.S. Navy for 16 years until his 1974 retirement when he moved back to Prague.

He was employed at Eaton Corp. from 1978 to 1989.

On Nov. 4, 1961, he married Delores Stenberg in Carson City, Nev.

Bradley was a member of the Prague United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Bradley is survived by his wife, Delores, of the home; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mark Bradley of Lafitte, La., and Lance and Sherry Bradley of Prague; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jim Franks of Moore; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and Tom Turner of Prague; and three grandsons, Joey Franks of Purcell and Kyler and Garrett Bradley, both of Prague.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Prague United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Roach officiating. Burial will follow at the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Service of Prague.

Marcelle Goggin
Marcelle Goggin of Wellston died Saturday at the age of 93.

Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Chandler.

Erma Faye Kinder
Erma Faye Kinder, 87, died in Tryon Thursday.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Edwin Sullivan of Tryon; a brother, Clyde Cowger of Lindsey, Calif.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.

A service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Agra, with the Rev. Rodger Shaw officiating. Burial will be in the Carney Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.

Michael Jenkins
Michael Jenkins, 34, of Tecumseh died Saturday in Harrah.

Services are pending with Cooper Funeral Home.

Garrett Lane Geis
Garrett Lane Geis, infant son of Mike and Shelly Geis of Tecumseh, died Friday at a local hospital.

Services are pending with Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

F.A. Swarb
F.A. "Tot" Swarb, 92, Maud, died Thursday at a Tecumseh care center.

Survivors include a daughter, Jackie McGowan, Shawnee; four granddaughters; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Roundtree and Elsie Hogan, Taft, Calif.; sister-in-law, Reba Hunt of Clovis, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud with the Rev. Wayne Taylor. Burial follows in Cummings Cemetery. Knight-Swearington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Charles O. Davis
Charles O. Davis, Shawnee, 81, died Saturday.

He was born in Macomb on Dec. 28, 1921, to Jim Lee Davis and Laree Lula (McKee) Davis.

He worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. as a ditch digger for many years before becoming a foreman. He retired after 35 years.

He married Vera Theresa on May 15, 1943, in Shawnee. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II in Okinawa.

A member of the First Assembly of God, he served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent and was on the board of trustees. He was also a member of the V.F.W.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dickie Lee Davis; brothers, Lester, Ode, Amos and Pete Davis, and two sisters, Avis Aston and Ella Grimes.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Davis, of the home; son, Danny Ray Davis, Sapulpa; grandchildren, Danna Kay Barron and her husband Ruben, San Diego, Calif.; Ruby Laughter of Connecticut; Danny Ray Davis Jr. and his wife Sherri, Jenks; four great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at First Assembly of God with the Rev. James Walter officiating. Burial will be at Meeker Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home.
