NANCY JOYCE BOSWOOD
1951-2006
WATTS, Okla. - Nancy Joyce Boswood, 54-year-old resident of Watts, died Sunday, July 2, 2006 in a Tulsa, Okla. hospital. Born September 23, 1951, in Siloam Springs, Ark., she was the daughter of Richard and Nancy Alene (Palone) Burrous. She was a life resident of Northeast Oklahoma. She was a public school administrator. She received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Northeastern State University of Tahlequah, Okla. She was an Elementary School Principal at Kansas, Okla. for 13 years and was an Elementary School Principal at Watts, Okla. for nine years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Watts. As an avid hunter she enjoyed life outdoors, NASCAR racing trips, and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Carter of Watts.
Survivors include: her husband, Greg Boswood of the home; two daughters Jacquelyn Page Phillips and her husband Brian of Fayetteville, Ark. and Megan Rhea Hostler and her husband Troy of Siloam Springs; two grandchildren, Treyton Jordan and Nyah Hostler; one brother, Rick Burrous and his wife Phyllis of Rogers, Ark.; three sisters, Kathy Jensen and her husband James of Owasso, Okla., Sharon Lester and her husband Tom of Siloam Springs and Shirley Perryman of Siloam Springs; and one brother-in-law, Bob Carter of Watts.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 7, at Wasson Memorial Chapel with Mr. Jim Beavers officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery, near Chewey, Okla. HILDEAN MCBRIDE EASLEY
1913-2006
GROVE, Okla. - Hildean McBride Easley, 92, a retired piano teacher, died Saturday, evening, July 1, 2006 at Grand Villa Nursing Center in Grove.
Mrs. Easley was a long time member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Neosho, Mo. and attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Grove.
Hildean was born in Scott City, Kansas November 2, 1913. Her parents were Grover and Nellie McBride. Hildean married John Forest Scott Easley February 21, 1932. The couple had seven children.
Mrs. Easley began playing piano when she was six years old. After graduating from High School she continued her musical educational at Horner Conservatory in Kansas City, Mo., where she learned to play the organ. With encouragement from her first teacher, Mrs. Easley gave her first lesson when she was 15 years old and continued to teach over 70 years. Hundreds of children remember the soft-spoken Mrs. Easley as not only an excellent teacher but a good and patient listener. Many of her later students were grandchildren of her early students.
Mrs. Easley retired from teaching at the age of 86, at that time having 21 students, and moved to Grove, to be closer to family.
Mrs. Easley played the organ at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Neosho for many years. She was an active church member and Sunday school teacher and dedicated to her Lord and her family.
Hildean was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Easley and one daughter, Pat Brasiola, of Neosho, her parents and two brothers. Survivors include: two sons, John Timothy Easley of Grove and Robert Easley of Alva, Fla.; four daughters, Joan Pelletier, Newport Richie, Fla., Judy Irwin, Newport Richie, Rosemary Coburn, Highland Village, Texas and Peggy Kaufman, Parker, Ariz. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, at Clark Chapel of Memories with Father Phil Lawrence officiating. Burial followed at IOOF Cemetery, Neosho. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Building Fund, Grove or St. John’s Episcopal Church, Neosho, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.

LINDA SUZANNE HAAS JORDAN
1947-2006
Grove, OK – Linda Suzanne Haas Jordan, 58, died Monday, July 3, 2006, at St. John’s Hospital in Joplin, Mo.
Linda was born October 24, 1947 at Indianapolis, Ind. to William and Miriam Sue (Cassaday) Haas. She spent her working life as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and was the Director of Nursing at the Medico Lodge North. She also volunteered many hours with the Red Cross. Linda also volunteered as a reserve police officer.
Linda was a very caring person. Friends and family described her as “selfless.” Linda never knew a stranger, and was helpful and giving to all who knew her. She enjoyed music from the sixties and seventies, particularly Barry Manilow and Elvis Presley.
Linda received numerous awards from the American Red Cross in recognition of her hours of volunteer service. She served as the Kansas State Nurse liaison for the Red Cross. Linda also enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, crocheting, sewing and going to the flea market as well as the casino.
Linda is preceded in death by her father, William Haas, in September of 2000.
She is survived by her husband, Ron, of the home. She is also survived by her mother, Miriam “Sue” Haas; her two children, Ronald Wayne Jordan, Jr. of Winfield, Kan. and his wife, Lori, and Ronda Porter and her husband, Jason, of Arkansas City, Kan.; her sister, Kathie Wiltfong of Seneca, Kan.; her brother Dan Haas of Overland Park, Kan.; her brother John Haas of Seneca; her brother Charles Haas and his wife, Brenda, of Maple Valley, Wash.; her brother Mark Haas of Merrian, Kan.; her brother Frederick Haas of Seneca, and her brother Steven Haas of Seneca. Linda is also survived by five grandchildren, Shelley Suttles, Heather Jordan, Jessica Jordan, Haley Porter and Kasyn Porter.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 7, at Olympus Cemetery in Grove. Pastor Wayne Shaw will preside. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Arrangements are by Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Service of Grove. DONALD KEBLISH
1925-2006
JAY, Okla. - Donald Keblish of Eucha, Okla. died Tuesday July 4, 2006 at Broken Arrow, Okla. He was 70.
Donald was born November 5, 1925 to Stephen and Matilda Keblish at Whitestone, N.Y. He graduated from the Spartan Aeronautic School in Tulsa and worked as a Technical Writer working for several companies including Boeing, NASA, and Rockwell. He married Sally on Sunday July 14, 1961 at Tulsa. Donald enjoyed bowling and was an avid baseball fan.
Survivors include: his wife, Sally Keblish of Eucha; four children, Ann Donell Keblish of Tulsa, Tatianna Duncan and husband Chris of Broken Arrow, Mary Louina “Scooter” Whisler and husband Randy of Broken Arrow, and Donald Stephen Keblish and wife Dana of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Paul Keblish of Jacksonville, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Funeral Mass was held Thursday July 6, at the St. Frances Catholic Church at Langley, Okla. Father Celestine officiated. Interment was at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery at Spavinaw, Okla. Services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vista Care Hospice of Tulsa, in care of the funeral home.

MARGARET MADISON
1919-2006
GROVE, Okla. - Margaret Christine Madison died Tuesday July 4, 2006 at the Integris Grove General Hospital. She was 86.
Margaret was born December 8, 1919 the only child to August H. and Anna (Fresener) Kohlscheen at the farm home east of Hancock, Iowa. She graduated from Walnut High School and attended a Business College. Margaret worked in the Light and Power office in Avoca before her marriage to Charles Madison on May 11, 1941 in Omaha, Neb. When Charles was discharged from the Army they lived in Maryville, Mo., managing a Lumber Yard. Then moving to Wichita, Kan., working for National Gypsen Co. for 4 ˝ years, and later owning a Lumber Yard for 24 years. They moved to Grove in 1977 from Wichita. She enjoyed golf, gardening and especially crossword puzzles.
Survivors include: one son, Mart Madison and wife Denise; one daughter, Marcia Austin; four granddaughters, Angela Marie Girtz and husband Jonathan, Teresa Lynne Lille and husband Tom, Stacy Jean Smith, and Kimberly Ann Ryan and husband Thomas; six grandchildren, Emma Lee Girtz, Sophie Margaret Girtz, Seth Theodore Lille, Chloe Diane Lille, Erick Ryan, and Brenda Michael Ryan. Two special people in Margaret’s life were Diane Madison, and Ed Streight.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday July 8, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Dr. Richard Dayringer will officiate. Interment will follow at the Olympus Cemetery. VELDON L. MASSEY
1915-2006
GROVE, Okla. – Veldon L. Massey, formerly of Caldwell, Kan., passed away on Monday, July 3, 2006. He was 90.
Born on December 15, 1915, Veldon was the co-owner of Massey-Melton John Deere.
He is survived by: one son, Don Massey and his wife, Colleen, of Milan, Ill.; a daughter, Carole Melton and her husband, Tom, of Grove; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 6, at 2 p.m., at Central Christian Church in Caldwell.
Memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church.

ALLEN DEE POWELL, SR.
1933-2006
VINITA, Okla. – Allen Dee Powell, Sr., Vinita resident, passed away at Harris Methodist HEB Hospital in Bedford, Texas on Friday, June 30, 2006. Mr. Powell was born on October 9, 1933 in Pedernal, N.M. to Lee Allen and Beatrice Taylor Powell. On June 21, 1958 he married his wife Sandra Sue Jarvis. Allen worked for Northrup Drummond (Vought) until his retirement in 2000. He is preceded in death by his parents Lee Allen and Beatrice Powell and a sister Leona Mae Lambert.
Survivors include: his wife Sandra Sue Jarvis Powell of the home; three children, Lee Bailey Powell, Melnye Lillian Powell Stone, and Allen Dee Powell Jr.; six grandchildren, Heidi Marie Powell, Adam Lee Powell, Courtney Nichole Powell, Shelbey Lynn Powell, Kelly Ann Powell and Allen Drew Powell; along with two sisters, Marjorie White and Margueritte White; and his twin brother, Alvin Lee Powell.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Friday, July 7, at the First United Methodist Church in Cleora, Okla. Interment will follow at the McLaughlin Cemetery, also in Cleora, under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, Okla.

JUDY MAXINE WALDEN
1941-2006
SPAVINAW, Okla. - Judy Maxine Walden, 64-year old Spavinaw resident passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. following a sudden illness.
Judy was born September 15, 1941 in Seminole, Okla. to Raymond Gilmer McCanless and Ruby Carma (Williams) McCanless. Judy was united in marriage to Delno Proctor Walden on November 2, 1965 in Miami, Okla. They owned and operated the Sportsman Bar in Spavinaw. Delno preceded her in death on April 27, 2003. Judy was of the Methodist faith and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Judy is survived by: four daughters, Diana Mohn, Eula Billings, Linda Wilmoth, and Velina Jensen; one son, Delno Walden, Jr.; 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Don Branom.
A graveside service will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, July 6, at the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.

RICHARD ALLYN WALTON
1922-2006
GROVE, Okla. - Richard Allyn Walton went with God on July 2, 2006. Dick was born August 20, 1922 in New York, N.Y. to Allyn Kennan and Helen E. Walters Walton. He grew up in Pennsylvania, graduating from Wilkinsburg High School in 1939. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1940 and served his country as a navigator of cargo planes, primarily in the Pacific theatre. He was honorably discharged as a 2nd Lt. in 1945 and graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 19489. He came to Tulsa, Okla., in 1953 with Royston Laboratories and later owned Arco Warehouse Company. He retired from business to Grand Lake in 1989 but never retired from life.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by: his brothers and sister and their spouses, Dave and Pat Walton, Carmel, Ind., Stan and Joanne Walton, Mechanicsburg, Penn., and Beverly and Harry Startzell, Yardley, Penn.; and seven nieces and nephews; his loving wife, Helen Lathene Walton of Grove; three children and their spouses, Anne and Jim Hewgley, III, Dr. Rick and Sherilyn Walton, and Tim and Tonya Walton; and by six grandchildren, Aaron, Andy, Tucker, Kara, Nicholas and Tori, all of Tulsa; also, three stepdaughters and their spouses, Peggy and Ed Williams, San Diego, Calif., Janet and David Morris, Niantic, Conn., and Melva and Carl Atkins, Grisham, Ore.; and six step-grandchildren.
Dick loved flying airplanes, playing golf and poker with his buddies, and, most of all, he thrived on helping others through many organizations including the Masonic Lodge, the Lions Club, Meals on Wheels and First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Elk River Golf Club. He participated in mission work in Mexico, and was always ready to drive the bus at church. His abiding faith and marvelous spirit carried him and his family through his long illness. He made the most of each day and served as a wonderful example to his family and others. He will be so missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 5, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Grove. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Missions programs of FUMC.
Services were entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 South Broadway, Grove.

JESSE REED BYBEE
1916-2006
JOPLIN, Mo. - Jesse R. Bybee, 89, Joplin, died on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 at Joplin Health Care Center, following a long illness. Mr. Bybee was born Aug. 24, 1916 and was a lifelong area resident. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Purple Heart recipient, along with other medals and awards. He worked in sales for Estrom Supply Company in Joplin and Grove, Okla. He was a member of the Grove Christian Church and the Grove American Legion, where he had served as commander and served on the funeral honors team. Jesse married Ellen Lee Brock and she preceded him in death in 1970. Surviving family members include: his wife, Alice Faye Bybee; two daughters, Mary Ellen Chrisman, Ketchum, Okla. and Nancy Lynn Kidd, Little Elm, Texas; three stepchildren, Raylene Vaughn, Neosho, Mo.; Rodney Gilpin, Jefferson City, Mo. and Mitch Hodge, Joplin; one brother, LeRoy Bybee, Arizona; two sisters, Delores Davis, Joplin and Velma Martin, Joplin; two grandchildren; six step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. Services will be Thursday, Aug. 10, at 1 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin. Full military honors will be conducted by the Grove Military Honors Team, who will also serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Tuesday from noon to 5 p.m. and Wed. from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wed. evening at the funeral home. Contributions in memory of Jesse may be made to the Grove American Legion, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P. O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850. Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
