Solorio
Clara Valdez Solorio, 52, of Berryville, Va., died Nov. 3, 2006.
Born Aug. 11, 1954 in Progreso, Texas, she was a sales representative with Maid Brigade.
She married Guadalupe Solorio on June 28, 1975 in Oregon City.
She was a member of Crums United Methodist Church in Berryville, Va.
She is survived by her husband, Guadalupe; daughter, Arselia Concho of Berryville, Va.; sons, Joey Solorio of Berryville, Va., and Eric Solorio of Baltimore, Md.; sisters, Cleo Miley of Woodburn, Amelia Torrez of Independence, Marie Pelayo of Woodburn, and Emma Torres of Dexter, N.M.; brother, Mario Valdez of Woodburn; one grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at Crums United Methodist Church, Berryville, Va. Interment will be private.

Hull
Ronald C. Hull, 81, of Woodburn, died April 23, 2008.
Born Nov. 29, 1926 in Corvallis, he lived in Oregon, Idaho and Washington before serving in the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marines during World War II and the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
He then lived in the Portland area before moving to Woodburn in 1956.
He was a foreman at Sinclair Pack Well in Wilsonville before retiring in 1988.
He was a member of the Baptist Church in Lincoln City and volunteered for the Hope and Help Center in Woodburn. He enjoyed traveling and woodworking.
He was married to Betty Bivens in Feb. 1984 in Woodburn.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Hull of Woodburn; step-children, Lester Merchant of Salem, Robert Merchant of Lincoln City, Donald Merchant of Dos Palos, Calif., Janet Brown of Woodburn, Lonnie Jean of Oklahoma; adopted son, Ronald Hull; brother, Beaud Hull of Spokane, Wash.; sister, Lita Regnault of Canada, Viola Rau of Washington, Carol Hull of Edmonds, Wash.; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
A service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. April 30 at Willamette National cemetery.
Arrangements are by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope and Help Center in Woodburn.

Bush
William Wallace Bush Jr., 66, of Woodburn, died April 25, 2008.
Born Feb. 15, 1942 in Mt. Vernon, Wash., he lived in the Seattle area for a number of years, later moving to Tillamook and then to Woodburn three years ago. Following graduation from King's Garden High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the Port of Seattle Airport Police Department in 1975.
He also worked as a self-employed computer consultant.
He was a member of Christ Community Church in Tualatin and the Tillamook Elks.
He was married to Lavonne Brusch on Aug. 26, 1967 in Woodburn.
He is survived by his wife, Lavonne Bush of Woodburn; son, William Wallace Bush III of Hillsboro; sister, Juanita Dew of Arlington, Wash.; half-brothers, Ed Bush and Andy Bush; half-sister, Maggie Bush; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., May 3, at Christ Community Church in Tualatin.
Interment with military honors will be at Willamette National cemetery.
Arrangements are by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crisis Chaplaincy Service, P.O. Box 1018, Turner, 97392.

Kizaeff
Catherina Kizaeff (Patapoff), 72, of Woodburn, died April 25, 2008.
Born Feb. 15, 1936 in Tehiran, Iran, she came to Los Angeles from Iran in 1952 and moved to the Willamette Valley area in 1967. She lived in the Monitor and Woodburn area for several years.
She was a farm and nursery laborer, home maker and was a member of the Russian Christian Molokan Reformed Church in Woodburn.
She was married to Vladimir Kizaeff in Los Angeles on Sept. 18, 1955. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She is survived by her sons, Michael V., Vladimir V. of Woodburn; daughters, Nina Erickson of Woodlawn, Wash., Lisa Cooper of Woodburn; brother, Alex Patapoff of Vancouver, Wash.; sister, Alexandra Davidian of Montebello, Calif., Jean Akotnekoff of Aurora; and three grandchildren.
A funeral service was held April 27 at the Russian Christian Reformed Molokan Church.
Interment is at Belle Passi cemetery.
Arrangements are by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Russian Christian Reformed Molokan Church.

Points
Hubert D. Points, 84, of Woodburn, died Nov. 22, 2008.
Born, March 5, 1924 in Allerton, Iowa, he lived in Nebraska and Arkansas before moving to Oregon in 1940.
He worked as a maintenance worker for the Sweet Home Public School District. He lived in Nyssa and Sweet Home before retiring in 1987. He came to Woodburn seven years ago. He was an Army veteran from World War II, a member of the Woodburn Christian Church, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He married Donaline Wonderly Aug. 25, 1947 in Vancouver, Wash.
He is survived by wife Donaline Points of Woodburn; daughters Connie Brooks of Independence, and Lynda Strom of Hubbard; brother Thomas Points of Boise, Idaho; sister Deloris Labby of Nyssa; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Woodburn Christian Church.
Arrangements are by Simon-Woodburn Funeral Chapel.

Greenup-Sauvageau
Stanley W. Greenup-Sauvageau, 70, of Hubbard, died Dec. 5, 2008.
Born, June 4, 1938 in Portland, Greenup-Sauvageau owned Stan's Highway Service Station in Hubbard from 1962-1972. He was then a real estate broker for Crest Realty in Hubbard, then worked for the real estate division for the State of Oregon as an auditor.
He moved from Wood Village to Hubbard as a child. He enjoyed restoring his old pickup, developing property and investing.
He married Carla Mason in 1962 in Elko, Nev.
He is survived by wife Carla of Hubbard; son Curtis Sauvageau of Mt. Angel; daughter Stacy Toy of Aloha; brother Lyle Sauvageau of Gervais; sister Mary Brown of Mt. Angel; and two grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Dec. 11 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
A graveside service will be held at Zion Memorial cemetery in Canby Dec. 12 at 1 p.m.
Arrangements are by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
Contributions can be made to Hopewell House Hospice in Portland.

Irwin
Nell Irwin, 94, of Mt. Angel, died Aug. 9, 2009. She was born Jan. 13, 1915 in Colorado. She married Robert Monroe Irwin, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Candy Irwin of West Linn and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Angel Towers Chapel. Unger Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Mullen
Tressie Ann Mullen, 94, of Mt Angel, died Aug. 7, 2009.
She was born May 29, 1915, in Dundee to Frank and Lucy (Forcht) Niederberger.
She married Charles Mullen, Jr. of St. Paul on Nov. 24, 1936, and settled on the family farm in St. Paul. He preceded her in death and she took over farm operations, retiring to a senior home in Mt. Angel.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing cards and traveling. She was also a member of the St. Paul Rodeo Association and was recognized as an honorary fireman with the St. Paul Fire Department.
Survivors include daughter Kathleen Kirsch of St. Paul; son Jerry Kirsch of St. Paul; sister Lucy Haener of the Dalles; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughters Irene Berhorst and Patty Moran; brothers Alphonse, Albert, Paul and Frank (Fritz) Niederberger; and sisters, Augusta Groff, Marie Brentano and Laura Flaherty.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul Ambulance Fund or the St. Paul Parochial School Endowment Fund in care of Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel, 207 Villa Road, Newberg OR 97132.

Tyler
Norman "Norm" Tyler, 70, of Big Lake, Alaska, formerly of Woodburn, died Oct. 24, 2006.
Born March 25, 1936 in Bend, his family later moved to Woodburn, where he completed his public education, and followed in his father's footsteps as 1954 student body president for Woodburn High School. He was awarded the honorary Chevalier degree by the Woodburn chapter of DeMolay.
He attended and graduated from Oregon State University in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He was affiliated and a chapter officer in Phi Gamma Delta. After a short term with the U. S. Air Force, he worked for Standard Oil Company of California. In 1962 he entered the insurance industry where he worked for over 40 years until his retirement. He was the first Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) in the state of Alaska. He also taught numerous insurance courses for the Alaska Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers and served as their president in 1976.
He was a 50-year member of Phi Gamma Delta. Until his retirement he was an active member of the Wasilla Rotary Club, Wasilla Chamber of Commerce, Big Lake Chamber of Commerce, Big Lake Lions Club and a 40-year member of the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda, of Big Lake, Alaska; children, Thomas and Meg Tyler, Kathleen (Kate) and Tom Rice, Marc Canet of Anchorage, and Robert and Sandy Canet of Oregon; brother, Tom Tyler of Portland; and five grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the Big Lake Hotel, Hanger Restaurant in Big Lake, Alaska at 2 p.m. Nov. 11. His ashes will be scattered in front of his residence on Big Lake, within sight of Mt. McKinley, which was his favorite view. In lieu of flowers memorials should be sent to the American Diabetes Association or Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue.

Hurless
Jeanette E. Hurless, 74, of Tualatin, formerly of Woodburn, died Oct. 29, 2006.
She was born May 12, 1932, she graduated from Woodburn High School in 1949.
She worked as a medical receptionist, as well as a secretary for the State of Oregon and as a real estate agent.
She enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing, boating, painting, drawing and cooking, and earned certification as a Master Gardener. She had several boats, kept horses and had several red sports cars.
As she grew up, she enjoyed adventures, such as a trip to Big Lake along a jeep trail, rock climbing, repelling, and a trip to Kootni Lake in the Canadian wilderness. She also traveled to six European countries and Australia.
She was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church in West Salem and Hope Lutheran in Woodburn. Recently, she attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in South Salem.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Hindman of Woodburn and Jeffery Holland of Salem; daughter, Karen Knephoff of Vancouver, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 8 at Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum, McMinnville.
