Anne Prince
ABBEVILLE — Anne Hall Prince, 88, of 202 Pineview St., widow of Henry Prince, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at her home.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Wayman and Maude Daniel Hall. She was a retired nursing aide and also retired from Abbeville Mills with more than 40 years of service. She was a member of Abbeville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Ralph W. Hall of Augusta, Ga., and Harold C. Hall of Pinewood.
Services are at 2 Thursday, at Abbeville First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Rieny Koschel. Burial is in Long Cane Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 1-2 in the church social hall.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Andy Williams
ANDERSON — Andy Lee Williams, 24, of 314 Horse Shoe Trail, husband of Nikki Blackwell Williams, died Monday, March 18, 2002.
Born in Hall County, Ga., he was a son of Billy Lee Williams and Frances Kidd Rinehart. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of Honea Path; a son, Anthony Williams of Honea Path; his mother and stepfather, Eugene Rinehart, of Greenwood; his father and stepmother, Ginny Williams, of Gainesville, Ga.; maternal grandparents, Homer and Ernestine Kidd of Gainesville; paternal grandfather, Henry Williams of Gainesville; and two sisters, Judy Barnett and Mary Robinson, both of Cross Hill.
Services are at 2 Thursday at Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood, conducted by the Rev. Hayes Riddle. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park, Greenwood.
Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of a sister, Judy Barnett, 94 Cane Creek Bridge Road, Cross Hill.

W. Neely Boggs Sr.
RIDGE SPRING — William Neely Boggs Sr., 59, of Mount Calvery Road, husband of Connie Clements Boggs, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at his home.
He was the owner of Phoenix Fabricators in Johnston and a member of The Episcopal Church of the Ridge, Pine Ridge Country Club and the S.C.G.A.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Neel Boggs of Augusta and Judson Boggs of Trenton; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 Saturday, at Grace Episcopal Church, conducted by the Rev. Janet E. Tarbox. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
The family is at the home.

Agnes J. Canfield
GREENWOOD — Agnes Jones Canfield, 90, formerly of 111 Terrace Way, widow of Ralph Benjamin Canfield, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Magnolia Manor.
Born in Gray Court, she was a daughter of the late Willie Young and Nannie Rebecca Ball Jones. She retired from Nantex Shirt Plant and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two nieces and a nephew.
Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum.
Visitation is at the chapel mausoleum from 10-11 Friday.

Mary Etta Coursey
GREENWOOD - Mary Etta Burnett Coursey, 96, widow of Elzie Lee Coursey, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at NHC Health Care.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Hector Maxie and Leila Trapp Ouzts Burnett. She was retired from Nantex and was the oldest living member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Coursey.
Surviving are a son, William "Billy" Coursey of Greenwood; two daughters, Dorothy "Dot" C. Knight of Greenwood and Margie C. Newsome of Hodges; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Coursey of Greenwood; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Smith officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lee Wilson, David Knight, Ray Knight, Jerry Knight, Michael Knight, Andy Brock, Ricky Coursey and Jim Coursey.
Honorary escort will be members of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
The family is at the home of her son, Billy Coursey, 802 Highway 221 South.
Memorials may be made to the First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church cemetery fund, 2107 Mt. Moriah Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.

Jean Cowart
GREENWOOD - Jean Mosteller Cowart, 73, resident of 207 Sloan Ave., died March 19, 2002 at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, GA.
Born in Greenwood County November 15, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Harley E. and Marie Corley Mosteller. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Furman University. Ms. Cowart was retired as unit manager of Tupperware.
A member of Abney Memorial Baptist Church she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 43 in Augusta, GA.
Surviving are three sons, Dale Hensley of Belvedere, Rev. Kent Hensley of Evans, GA, and Harley Eric Hensley of Appling, GA; a brother, Dr. Glenn Mosteller of Laurens; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glenn Mosteller and Rev. Kent Hensley officiating.
Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ward Hensley, Clifford Hensley, Aaron Hensley, Daniel Hensley, Robin Caldwell, and Ronnie Crouch.
The family is at the home on Sloan Ave., and will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Thursday evening.
Blyth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Effie Durham
NINETY SIX — Effie Mae Faulkner Durham, 84, formerly of Pinehaven Drive, widow of James Weldon Durham, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Emma Adams Faulkner. She retired from Greenwood Mills Ninety Six Plant and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Steve Durham of Greenwood and three grandchildren.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday at Blyth Funeral Home, Greenwood, conducted by the Rev. Charles Owens and the Rev. Tommy Cartledge. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery, Ninety Six.
Pallbearers are Bob Drummond, John Drummond, Danny Grubbs, William Long, Rudy Adams, Leonard Nunn and J.P. Cook.
Visitation is from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Steve and Carolyn Durham, 924 Highway 221 S.

Willie James Jackson
ABBEVILLE — Services for Willie James Jackson, of 801 West Greenwood St., will be at 2 Saturday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Al Green and the Rev. Willie Belcher. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Burial is in Harbison Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Charles Washington , Michael Jackson, Jeff Ford, Melvin Jackson, Greg Thomas and Patrick Thomas.
Flower bearers are Louvenia Hughes, Irene Davis, Genevieve Bryant, Sheers Roberts, Jeanette Jones and Betty Rice.

DETROIT — Services for Eunice A. Sibert Tate are 2 p.m. Friday at Upper Mount Moriah Baptist Church, McCormick, S.C., conducted by the Rev. Ivary Goodwin, pastor. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Freddie Lee Tribble
SALUDA — Freddie Lee Tribble, 66, died Friday, March 15, 2002, at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late George and Mattie Tribble.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Gardner of Philadelphia; two sons, John Ballard Sr. of Philadelphia and Tyrone Culbreath of Washington , D.C.; four sisters, Nora Butler, Nellie Etheredge and Christine Griffin, all of Norristown, Pa., and Ethel Mitchell of Conshohocken, Pa.; and four brothers, Roman, Romie and Nathaniel Tribble, all of Norristown and Henry Tribble of Coatesville, Pa.
Services are at 2 Saturday at Mount Enon Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Johnny C. Gantt. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Rev. Willie Williams Sr.
GREENWOOD — The Rev. Willie Butler Williams Sr., 82, of 1308 Oglesby Ave., husband of Julia Hall Williams, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at his home.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Will and Sallie Bell Williams. He was a retiree of Professional Medical Products, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church, Ninety Six. He was a former pastor at several churches, including Mount Zion A.M.E., Piney Grove A.M.E., Bailey Bethel A.M.E., Old Field Bethel A.M.E., Mount Sinai A.M.E., Rocky River A.M.E., Friendship A.M.E., Clinton, and St. Mary A.M.E., Cross Hill. He was a former presiding elder of the Newberry/Spartanburg A.M.E. District, and was the current pastor of Mount Pleasant A.M.E. Church in Clinton. He was a member of NAACP, the Ministerial Alliance, and many other civic and professional organizations. He graduated from Bettis Academy, with seminary training at Benedict College and Allen Universities, both in Columbia.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Mary Willene Richardson of Due West and Bonnie Joe Sanders of Chicago; two sisters, Frances Abney of Ninety Six and Annie Bell Johnson of Washington , D.C.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family is at the home.
Services will be announced by Robinson & Son Mortuary Inc.

Bobbie J. Woodward
GREENWOOD - Bobbie Jean Whitmire Woodward, 64, of 116 Amherst Drive, wife of Ray Duane Woodward for forty-six years, died March 20, 2002 at her home.
A native of Greer, SC, daughter of the late L. C. Whitmire, Lois Caldwell Songer and stepfather, Lester L. Songer, she was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Gridley Chapter #324, Order of the Eastern Star, recipient of the Grand Cross of Colors by the International Order of Rainbow For Girls, a retired real estate broker, and a member of Main Street United Methodist Church of Greenwood.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Cindy Woodward of Safety Harbor, FL; Robert Woodward and Penny Squires of Charlotte, NC; and Brian and Darcy Woodward of Erie, PA. Two daughters and son-in-law, Linda Woodward of Simpsonville and Stacey and John Wodecki of Mauldin, a brother, Lester Songer, II, of Nashville, TN. A sister, Sandra Childs of Spartanburg.
Six grandchildren, Sarah, Stephen, Allyson, Wesley, Jeffrey, and Kelly Woodward.
Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Friday at the Wood Mortuary. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Erie, PA. Visitation will be held 3:00-5:00 PM Friday at the Wood Mortuary.
The families are at their respective homes.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, Inc., 408 West Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646.
The Wood Mortuary, Inc. is in charge.

MCCORMICK — Services for Willie B. Anderson will be at 2 Wednesday at the Shiloh A.M.E. Church, conducted by the Revs. Carey Grady and Wayman Coleman III. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1.
Pallbearers are Michael Anderson, Antonio Anderson, Jerald Anderson, Stanley Anderson, Lorenzo Anderson and Derrick Anderson.
Flower bearers are Lillie Anderson, Taneka Tate, Lula Drennon, Sharon Anderson, Linda Terry and Willie Frances Mars.
