Mary Belk
Mary Rebecca Pou Belk, 88, of 1114 Highside St., widow of Horace DeGraw Belk, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 at Magnolia Manor.
Born in North, she was a daughter of the late Julian C. Pou Sr. and Minnie Rambo Pou. She was a graduate of North High School and Peterson’s Business College, Greenwood. She retired as bookkeeper for Cooper Furniture Co., Greenwood, after 25 years service. A member of Greenwood Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, she was a member of the United Bible Class and a former Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana B. Chase of Huntingdon, Pa.; a brother, Jeff Pou of High Point, N.C.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Don Elliott and Dr. Timothy Erskine. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Entombment is in Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Pallbearers are Denny Layne, Robbie Corley, Jack Hill, Billy Patrick, Bob Bowyer and Robert Davis. Honorary escorts are members of the church Session and the United Bible Class.
Visitation is 4-6 Sunday at Blyth Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 982, Greenwood, SC 29648.

Rene Davis
Rene Marie Davis, 55, of 211 Janet St., died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 at home.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Martha Hudson Davis and the late Barney W. Davis Sr. and was a member of Mathews United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her partner of the home, Johnny Bosserman; her mother of Greenwood; and a brother, Barney Davis Jr. of Greenwood.
Services are 4 p.m. Sunday at Harley Funeral Home, conducted by the Revs. John G. Hipp and Tim Taylor. Burial is in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Eric Livingston, Jyll Madox, Richard Davis, Schanen Davis, Albert Gates and Scott Davis.
Visitation is 2-3:30 Sunday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of her mother, 501 Foundry Road.

‘Dick’ Dickinson
Harold Merton “Dick” Dickinson, 79, of 108 Windsor Oaks, husband of Marilyn Pounders Dickinson, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 at Wesley Commons.
Born in Jamestown, N.Y., he was a son of the late Harold E. and Mabel Shannon Dickinson. He graduated from the School of Architecture at the University of Cincinnati. He served in the Army and was a World War II veteran and an officer in the Army Reserve. Self-employed as an architect in Canton, Ohio, he moved to Greenwood 29 years ago and continued his architectural practice. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.
Survivors include his wife of the home; four children, Debra Dickinson of Santa Fe, N.M., Jeff Dickinson of Delaware, Ohio, Joanne Dickinson Marino of Canton and Tracy Scott Dickinson of Atlanta; a brother, Charles Dickinson of Falconer, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Services are at noon Monday at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, conducted by the Rev. Peter Hawes.
Visitation is 11-12 Monday at the church.
The family is at the home.
Memorials may be made to the Greater Greenwood United Ministries, 1404 Edgefield St., Greenwood, SC 29646.

Gaines P. Gravlee
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Gaines Pendleton Gravlee, 84, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003.
Born in Haleyville, Ala., he was a son of the late George Strother and Ada Elizabeth Sellers Gravlee. He was a graduate of Auburn University, a member of First Baptist Church and a World War II Navy veteran. An engineer, he worked for TVA, doing research and development in radio frequency communications and radar for the National Bureau of Standards and the Navy Department in Washington , D.C. He participated in the Army’s anti-missile development program and worked for Boeing in the development of the Saturn V Apollo moon rocket and the space station. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Hornsby Gravlee; a son, Gaines P. Gravlee Jr. of Huntsville; a daughter, Beth Gravlee Eiland of Redlands, Calif.; five grandchildren and four sisters, Josephine Corbett of San Francisco, Elizabeth Moss of Greenwood, S.C., Myra Grady of Trussville and Carie Tidwell of Birmingham.
Services are 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. David Hull and Dr. Ralph Langley. Burial is in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is 12-2 today at the church.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.

Rev. Dubro Grisham
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Rev. Dubro M. Grisham, 91, husband of Frazelia B. Walker Grisham, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003 at his home.
Born in Rutherford County, Tenn., he was a retired United Methodist minister since 1978, serving in the ministry for more than 44 years. He was a graduate of Tennessee State University, Nashville, and Gammon Theological Seminary, Atlanta. He served at Clark Memorial Methodist in Nashville, Centenary Methodist in Memphis, Bethel in Morristown and other churches. He also served as district superintendent in the Nashville District, taught religion at Morristown Junior College and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife of the home, formerly of McCormick; a daughter, Frazelia G. Lawson of Chattanooga; a son, Dr. Daniel W. Grisham of Anderson, S.C.; and three grandchildren.
Services are 4 p.m. today at Washington Hills United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Walter Cross Jr. Burial is Monday in Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville.
Franklin-Strickland Funeral Home is in charge.

Lillie M. Lewis
NINETY SIX — Services for Lillie M. Lewis, of 1304 Martin Town Road, are 3 p.m. Sunday at Springfield Baptist Church, Edgefield, conducted by the Rev. Norris Turner, assisted by the Revs. R.C. Oglesby, Frank Williams and Nathaniel Langford. The body will be placed in the church at 2. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are great-grandsons.
Flower bearers are great-granddaughters.
The family is at the home.

Bob A. Mosley
HONEA PATH — Bob Alexander Mosley, 46, of 115 Shamrock Apartments, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003 at his home.
A native of Abbeville County, he was a son of M. Johnson and Willie F. Mosley. He was a member of Mount Olive A.M.E. Church and a former member of the choir and trustee board.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Anderson of Greenville; his mother of Honea Path; his father; two daughters, Tabatha Mosley of Honea Path and Tresla Mosley of Donalds; a son, Obediah Dodson of Donalds; six sisters, Mary Jeannette Mosley of Chicago, Elizabeth Woody, Gladys Long, Mildred Rice and Jacqueline Woolridge, all of Honea Path and Kathryn Wise of Lawrenceville, Ga.; three brothers, James Mosley of Greenwood, Herbert Mosley and Chris Mosley, both of Honea Path; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services are 4 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, Donalds, conducted by the Rev. James Aiken. The body will be placed in the church at 3. Burial is in Old Folksville Baptist Church Cemetery, Donalds.
Visitation is 8-8:30 tonight at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Belton.
The family is at home of his mother, Willie F. Mosley, 102-A Shamrock Apartments.

Frances Rinehart
GREENWOOD — Frances E. Kidd Williams Rinehart, 50, of 712B Bucklevel Road, wife of Eugene Rinehart, died Friday, October 10, 2003.
Born in Gainesville, GA, she was a daughter of Homer and Ernestine Voyles Kidd. She was employed by Greenwood Mills, Harris Plant and was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church, Gainesville, GA. She was preceded in death by a son, Andy Lee Williams and a brother, Roy Kidd.
Surviving is her husband of Greenwood; her parents of Gainesville, GA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Caury Barnett and Mary and Timmy Robinson, all of Greenwood; a sister, Angela Thomason of Gainesville, GA; two brothers, Robert Kidd and Junior Kidd, both of Gainesville, GA; and four grandchildren, Maddison Barnett, Tony Robinson and Tammy Robinson, all of Greenwood and Anthony Williams of Honea Path.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jake Barnett, David Perry, Matthew Kidd, Lee Thomason, Casey Thomason, Leonard Kidd, David Kidd, Cory Barnett and Bradley Barnett.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The family is at the homes of her daughters, Judy Barnett, 712B Bucklevel Road and Mary Robinson, 107 Beacon Street.

PLUM BRANCH — Mildred Beatrice Whitted, wife of Harold B. Whitted, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003 at her home.
The family is at the home, 309 Gilchrist Road.
Services will be announced by Parks Funeral Home, Greenwood.

Alice R. Williams
HONEA PATH — Alice Rouse Williams, 82, of 201 Sanders St., widow of Guylen “Guy” Williams, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 at the home of a daughter, Edith Benjamin.
Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late James and Naomi Rouse and Lena Murray Rouse. She was a member of Mount Olive A.M.E. Church, Donalds, where she was a member of the Missionary and Senior Choir.
Survivors include three sons, James Guylen Williams of Greenwood, Larry Donnell Williams of Honea Path and Freddie Williams of Ware Shoals; five daughters, Lena Gertrude Williams of Baltimore, Edith Benjamin and Shirley Pratt, both of Honea Path, Mrs. Bernard (Christine) Watson of Greenwood and Mrs. Jerry (Mary Alice) Foster of North Charleston; a sister, Kate Louise Holloway of Baltimore; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family is at the home of Edith Benjamin, 2 U St., Honea Path.

Willie Cunningham
DUE WEST — Willie B. Cunningham, 96, of 549 George Alewine Road, widower of Daisy Clinkscales Cunningham, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003 at his home.
Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late William and Maggie Williams Cunningham. A member of Springfield Baptist Church, he was former chairman of the Deacon Board, a member of Due West Masonic Lodge No. 100 and the senior choir and a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include two daughters, the Rev. Ozena C. Harfield and the Rev. Margaret C. Peoples of Level Land; two sons, William Fleet Cunningham and Amos J. Cunningham of Level Land; two sisters, Eva Butler and Irdena Cunningham of Honea Path; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Springfield Baptist Church, Level Land, conducted by Dr. Norman Pearson and the Rev. Jarvis Brown. The body will be placed in the church at 1. Burial is in the church cemetery.
No wake is planned.

Jesse J. Robinson
CHAPPELLS — Services for Jesse James “Boot” Robinson, of 232 Branch Hill Road, are 3 p.m. Thursday at Lockhart Baptist Church, Saluda, conducted by the Rev. Raymond Adams. The body will be placed in the church at 2. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers and flower bearers are friends of the family.
Visitation is at the home.

Rebecca Shuler
GREENWOOD — Rebecca McComb Shuler, 87, resident of 118 Sheffield Road, wife of Conrad P. Shuler, died October 14, 2003 at her home.
Born in Abbeville, December 18, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Robert Samuel and Minnie Taggart McComb. She received her B.A. Degree in Education from Winthrop College and her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Shuler was a retired public school teacher from Greenwood School District #50.
A member of First Presbyterian Church, she was also a member and served as vice-chairman of the Presbyterian Women and received her Life Membership pin from the church. Mrs. Shuler was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society of Distinguished Educators.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are a son, Conrad K. Shuler of Central; a daughter, Rebecca S. Croom of Weddington, NC; a sister, Mildred M. Petty of Landrum; five grandchildren.
Mrs. Shuler was predeceased by two brothers, James R. McComb of Camden and William J. McComb of Durham, NC and a sister, Frances M. Hill of Greer.
A family graveside service will be held at 10 AM Thursday at Oakbrook Memorial Park with a memorial service to follow at 11 AM at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. John Livingston and Dr. Joe Walker officiating.
Honorary escort will be members of the Henry Reynolds Sunday School Class of First Presbyterian Church.
The family is at the home in Sheffield and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 Wednesday evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646 or to First Presbyterian Church, 108 E. Cambridge Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
