Rosann Radel, 77
May 3, 1928 - March 16, 2006
Funeral services for Rosann Radel were held Monday, March 20, 2006, at 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Baptist Church, Sioux Falls, with the Rev. Ron Norman officiating. Music was furnished by the Trinity Baptist Quartet, Rev. Ron Norman, soloist, and Shirley Bertsch, organist.
Interment was made in the Parkston Protestant Cemetery with Dindot-Klusmann Funeral Home, Lennox, in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Todd Radel, Richard Radel, Steven Radel, Chad Radel, Jeffrey Radel, and Thomas Radel.
Rosann was born May 3, 1928, to Gustave and Lydia (Lang) Radel near Alexandria.
She graduated from Parkston High School and the South Dakota Beauty Academy. She owned and operated Rosann’s Beauty Shop in Parkston until 1956. She then joined the US Air Force and served as a military flight attendant for 21 years, having attained the rank of Master Sergeant.
Upon retiring from the Air Force she moved to Sioux Falls and operated a child daycare from her home for 10 years. She also was a caregiver for her mother for many years.
She died Thursday, March 16, at the Diamond Care Center in Bridgewater. She attained the age of 77 years.
She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Radel, Denver; two brothers, Gilbert (Belva) Radel, Sioux Falls, and Kenneth (Eileen) Radel, Mesa, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Luella Radel, Sioux Falls; six nephews, six great-nephews; and nieces; and one great-great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Harley Radel; one nephew; and two nieces.

Martha (Guthmiller) Hirsch, 92
June 21, 1914 - October 8, 2006
Funeral services for Martha Hirsch were held Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at 10:30 a.m., at Friedens Reformed United Church of Christ, Tripp, with the Rev. Greg Way officiating. Music was furnished by the congregation and Shelly Finck, organist.
Interment was made in the church cemetery with Goglin-Kelley Funeral Home, Tripp, in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Duane Hirsch, Clyde Hirsch, Steve Winter, Sam Winter, Michael Johnson, Dustin Hirsch, Julie Hirsch, and Lacey Winter.
Martha Hirsch was born on the family farm in Bon Homme County, south of Tripp on June 21, 1914. She was born to John and Christine (Stoebner) Guthmiller.
She attended country school near Tripp through the eighth grade. Following her education, she helped her parents on the family farm.
She was united in marriage to Oscar Hirsch on November 29, 1933, in the Emmanuel Creek Church south of Tripp. They farmed together, working along side her husband, on their farm northwest of Tripp. After they retired and moved in to Tripp, she worked as a cook for some years.
She lived at the Tripp Good Samaritan Center since April of 1999.
She died on Sunday, Oct. 8, at the age of 92 years.
She is survived by her son, Albert (Elaine) Hirsch, Rapid City; daughter, LaValle (Roland) Winter, Parkston; six grandchildren, Duane Hirsch, Linda Johnson, Clyde Hirsch, Julie Hirsch, Dawn Murphy, and Steve Winter; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Regina Raasch, Hillsboro, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Hirsch; her parents; two brothers; and eight sisters.

Bea (Schuver) Morehouse, 83
August 3, 1923 - January 29, 2007
Funeral services for Bernice (Bea) Morehouse were held Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Parkston, with Fr. Paul Josten officiating. Music was furnished by the Sacred Heart Parish Choir, Tina Roth, soloist, and Bonna McGregor, organist.
Interment was made in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery with Koehn Bros. Funeral Home, Parkston, in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Dr. Lisa Even, Stephanie Morehouse, Mark Morrell, Courtney Morrell, Jeff Morehouse, Thomas Morehouse, Chuck Morrell, Kevin Morrell, Greg Morehouse, and Kim Morehouse.
Bernice (Bea) Morehouse was born August 3, 1923, to John and Mathilda (Hansen) Schuver in Dell Rapids. She attended and graduated from Parkston High School in Parkston and later attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth Morehouse on June 27, 1950, at Parkston. She worked as a bookkeeper for Parkston Coop and Untereiners as well as working with Kenny for several years.
She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She died Monday, Jan. 29, at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston at the age of 83 years.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth, Parkston; three children, Sue Morrell and husband, Russ, North Wheeler, Paul Morehouse and wife, Ann, Gregory, and Mark Morehouse, Parkston; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Schuver and wife, Jan, Sioux Falls; and a brother-in-law, Richard Vande Bossche, Edgemont.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Delores Svoboda, Mildred Portice, and Joan Vande Bossche; and a daughter-in-law, Debra Morehouse.

Viola (Friedrich) Larson, 95
August 13, 1911 - February 5, 2007
A Mass of Christian burial for Viola M. Larson was held Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sioux Falls.
Heritage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Viola M. Larson was born August 13, 1911, in Parkston to Henry and Anna (Thury) Friedrich.
She married Fred E. Larson on February 20, 1939, in Brookings. They had resided in Sioux Falls since 1950 and had spent their winters for over 10 years in Mesa, Ariz.
Vi was Hobo Day Queen in 1937 at South Dakota State University, Brookings, where she majored in home economics.
She was a member of the Mc-Kennan Auxiliary for over 40 years and was a very active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for 56 years.
She died Monday, Feb. 5, at Prince of Peace Nursing Home in Sioux Falls. She attained the age of 95 years.
She is survived by her brother, Rev. Lawrence Friedrich, Sioux Falls; two daughters, Mary (Leonard Johnson) Montoya, Sioux Falls, and Kathy (Dr. Lawrence) Gregory, Toledo, Ohio; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years who died in 2004; and two brothers, Victor Friedrich and Herb Friedrich.

Francis Davis, 86
February 13, 1920 - February 8, 2007
Funeral services for Francis Wilber Davis were held Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at 10 a.m., at Walter Funeral Home, Freeman, with Pastor Jeff Pautz officiating.
Burial was made at the Freeman City Cemetery near Freeman. McColley’s Chapel of the Hills in Custer and Walter Funeral Home in Freeman were in charge of the arrangements.
Francis was born February 13, 1920, to Charles E. and Alvina (Dockweiler) Davis in Kaylor. He graduated from Tripp High School in Tripp.
He was married May 20, 1943, in Sioux Falls. He enlisted to serve his country in the United States Army in March of 1942. He served in the 357th Regiment as a combat medic in the European Theater during World War II. He was discharged with the rank of Sergeant in September 1945.
He died Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City. He attained the age of 86 years.
He is survived by his wife, Anita, Custer; son, Richard (Charleene) Davis, Belle Fourche, daughter, Donna (Jim) Lynch, Pittsburg, Mo.; sister, Viola (Walter) Rembold, Tripp; special family friend, Dorothy Hirtle, Custer; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Joan M. Davis, Dianne A. Wareham; six brothers, and three sisters.

Loren Lagge, 62
July 24, 1944 - March 23, 2007
Mass of Christian burial for Loren Lagge was held Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at 10 a.m., at St. Therese Catholic Church, Sioux Falls.
Burial was made in the St. Michael Cemetery with Goerge Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls. in charge of arrangements.
Loren Leland Lagge was born July 24, 1944, in Tripp to Carl and Johanna (Weisser) Lagge. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He married Joyce Schimke in August of 1971. He began working for the United States Post Office in 1991. He also worked for Country Meats as a meat cutter and helped process deer. He later married Kathy Feller on May 10, 1997. He retired from the Post Office in March of 2007. He was a square dance caller and an active promoter for over 20 years.
He died Friday, March 23, at the age of 62 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Lagge, Garretson; daughters, Lisa (Steve) Dammann, and Tami Lagge, both of St. Libory, NE; step-daughters, Shelly (Scott) Rorvick, Watertown, and Janie Lundberg, Garretson; 12 grandchildren, Zach, Austin and Lane Dammann, and Kane and Devon Lagge-Coaker, all of St. Libory, NE, Geri (John) Bunkers, Harrisburg, Casey, Brady, Laci and Demi Rorvick, all of Watertown, and Greg and Nick Lund-berg, Garretson; siblings, Helen (Glen) Tiede, Lamars, Iowa, Don Lagge, Stickney, Hilda (Delwin) Benne, Oakland, NE, Richard (Robin) Lagge, Lincoln, NE, Sandy (Gene) Abney, NE, Ben (LuAnn) Lagge, Corsica; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Constance (Krier) Fuoss, 63
January 26, 1944 - March 29, 2007
Funeral services for Constance Jean Fuoss were held Monday, April 2, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Parkston, with Fr. Paul Josten and Deacon Barry Wagner officiating. Music was furnished by the Sacred Heart Parish Choir and Bonna McGregor, organist.
Interment was made in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Clayton, with Koehn Bros. Funeral Home, Parkston, in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Scott Montefering, Duane Keiper, Lance Langle, David Werning, Dennis Stirling, Doug Werning, Lonny Langle, and Jim Heck.
Constance Jean Fuoss was born January 26, 1944, to Isadore and Lenore (Wethor) Krier in Mitchell. She lived with her parents in Emery and attended school there.
On April 24, 1965, she was united in marriage to John Fuoss in Emery. Together they farmed in the Milltown area until John’s passing on October 15, 1982.
She continued living on the farm until moving into Parkston in 1990.
She died Thursday, March 29, at her home in Parkston at the age of 63 years.
She is survived by her mother, Lenore, Emery; six children, Fred Fuoss, Mitchell, John Fuoss and wife, Elaine, Sioux Center, Iowa, Glen Fuoss and wife, Ann, Milltown, Gene Fuoss, Parkston, Mary Dixon and husband, Dave, Parkston, and Edward Fuoss and wife, Makayla, Fort Bragg, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ron Krier and wife, Bev, Emery, Kathy Conklin and husband, Clark, Phoenix, Ariz., Patty Chandler and husband, Dave, Fargo, N.D., Matt Krier and wife, Della, Denver, Colo., and Terri Richards and husband, Paul, Bridgewater.
She was preceded in death by her father; husband, John; and two sisters-in-law, Margie Howington and Helen Langle.

Deanna Mogck, 13
March 31, 1994 - June 14, 2007
Memorial services for Deanna Mogck were held Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mitchell.
Interment was made in the Emsley Cemetery, rural Ethan, with Will Funeral Chapel, Mitchell, in charge of arrangements.
Deanna was born on March 31, 1994, at Mitchell to Lyle and Lori (Mogck) Doering. She attended LB Williams Elementary School in Mitchell until moving to Sioux Falls in 2004. She attended Robert Frost Elementary School and Edison Middle School and had completed the seventh grade. She was on the honor roll and enjoyed music.
She died June 14 as the result of an automobile accident. She attained the age of 13 years.
She is survived by her mother, Lori, Sioux Falls; two half-sisters, Billie Arterberry, Yankton, and Angela Mogck, Ethan; her grandparents, Gary and Marlou Mogck, Ethan; aunts and uncles, Bonnie Thuringer, Parkston, Becky (Godwin) Azeke, Las Vegas, Nevada, Sharon (Chris) Constant, Athens, Ga., Ryan (Michelle) Mogck, Spearfish, and Sara (Grant) Schoenfelder, Parkston; and several cousins.

Trevor Doering, 9
November 30, 1997 - June 14, 2007
Memorial services for Trevor Doering were held Saturday, June 23, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mitchell.
Interment was made in the Emsley Cemetery, rural Ethan, with Will Funeral Chapel, Mitchell, in charge of arrangements.
Trevor was born on November 30, 1997, at Mitchell, to Lyle and Lori (Mogck) Doering. He attended school at LB Williams Elementary School in Mitchell until moving to Sioux Falls in 2004. He attended Robert Frost Elementary School where he had completed the third grade.
He liked Spiderman, trucks and playing with his dog.
He died June 14 as the result of an automobile accident. He attained the age of 9 years.
He is survived by his mother, Lori, Sioux Falls; two half-sisters, Billie Arterberry, Yankton, and Angela Mogck, Ethan; his grandparents, Gary and Marlou Mogck, Ethan; aunts and uncles, Bonnie Thuringer, Parkston, Becky (Godwin) Azeke, Las Vegas, Nevada, Sharon (Chris) Constant, Athens, Ga., Ryan (Michelle) Mogck, Spearfish, and Sara (Grant) Schoenfelder, Parkston; and several cousins.

Philip Winckler, 98
February 22, 1909 - October 10, 2007
Funeral services for Philip Winckler were held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at Friedens Reformed Church, Tripp, with the Rev. Greg Way officiating. Music was furnished by Lennis Mehlhaff, soloist, and Ruby Dewald, organist.
Interment was made in the church cemetery with Goglin Funeral Home, Tyndall and Tripp, in charge of arrangements.
Philip Winckler was born on Monday, Feb. 22, 1909, in Bon Homme County to Peter F. and Magdaline (Frey) Winckler. He was baptized May 31, 1909, and confirmed June 29, 1924, in the Congregational Church in Tyndall by the Rev. John Sattler.
He was united in marriage to Ida Stoebner on December 17, 1935. They farmed 12 miles northwest of Tyndall. In 1986, they moved to Tyndall with their daughter, Goldie, but he continued to farm with his son, Alton, until 1990.
He died on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Tyndall Good Samaritan Center at the age of 98 years, seven months, and 18 days.
He is survived by three children, Alton (Delores) Winckler, rural Tyndall, Goldie Winckler, Tyndall, and Rosaline (Richard) Wootton, Yankton; eight grandchildren, Kim Winckler, Lori Schulte, Lisa VanZee, Susan Baumberger, David Winckler, Paul Winckler, Terry Wootton, and Joan Coombs; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida, on May 2, 2002; son, Melvin in 1939; parents, Peter and Magdaline; brothers, Edward and August; sisters, Johanna, Katherine, Bertha, and Christine; and several nieces and nephews.
