Dorothy Oberlon "Tip" Dill
1925-2005
HUNTINGDON - Services for Dorothy Oberlon "Tip" Dill, 80, were conducted Wednesday, July 6, at 11:00 a.m., at the Huntingdon First Baptist Church, with Bro. Fred Ward officiating. Interment icon followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Dill died Sunday, July 3, at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.
She was born April 7, 1925, in Yuma, to the late Riley Hopper and Euvis Haywood Hopper. She was the retired owner of Tip's Dairy Bar and a member of the Huntingdon First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leon Hampton; second husband Eulon Dill; one sister, Erbie Kirksey; and one brother, Ben Hopper.
Survivors include one daughter, Deidre Autry of Huntingdon; two sons, Charles Hampton of Humboldt and Randy Hampton of Jackson; one sister, Cleo Gooch of Yuma; and two grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Jewel Irene Clanton
1912, 2005
McKENZIE - Services for Jewel Irene Clanton, 93, were conducted Friday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m., at the McKenzie Church of Christ, with Bro. Terry Joe Kee officiating. Interment icon followed in, at McKenzie Health Care Center.
She was born May 21, 1912, to the late Will Kee and Lonie Howell Kee. She was a member of the McKenzie Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Chapman Clanton; two brothers, Ernest Kee and Harvey Kee; and one sister, Gladys Swim.
Survivors include three daughters, Iona Dunlap, Carolyn Maddox and Bonnie Martin, all of McKenzie; two brothers, Malcolm Kee and Elvis Kee, both of McKenzie; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Brummitt Funeral Home of McKenzie was in charge of the arrangements.

Dorris Jean Pachl
1935-2005
GLEASON - Services for Dorris Jean Pachl, 70, were conducted at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 5, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Pinnell and Rev. George Butler officiating. Interment icon followed in Hopewell cemetery.
Mrs. Pachl died Saturday, July 2, in Martin at the Volunteer Community Hospital.
She was born March 28, 1935, to the late Homer and Mary Heath Brummitt. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Ray Brummitt. She was a member of the Gleason Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Pachl; one son, Mark Pachl of Collierville; one daughter, Sherry Harkey of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, Thomas Brummitt of Gleason and Jim Brummitt of Henry; and one grandchild.

Pauline Hester Smith Bennett
1916-2005
HUNTINGDON - Services for Pauline Hester Smith Bennett, 89, were conducted Monday, July 11, at 1:00 p.m., at Palmer Shelter United Methodist Church, with Brother Wayne Holmes officiating. Interment icon followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bennett died Saturday, July 9, at Huntingdon Health and Rehab.
She was born February 9, 1916, in Carroll County, to the late Murray and Fronia Weaver Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Davis Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Paul Lee Bennett; three daughters, JoAnn Motheral of McKenzie, Nita McDaniel of Clifton, and Sheree Foster of Brentwood; one son, Paul Lynn Bennett of Nashville; two sisters, Ludell Walker and Lorene Oatsvall; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

James Daniel Casey
1944-2005
McKENZIE - Services for James Daniel Casey, 60, were conducted Saturday, July 9, at 1:00 p.m., in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Carlos Gregory officiating. Interment icon followed in the McLemoresville cemetery.
Mr. Casey died Wednesday, July 6, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born December 25, 1944, in McLemoresville, to the late Buster Wilson Buck and Mary Grazer Smith Casey. He was a self-employed carpenter and was preceded in death by one son, Henry Casey.
Survivors include three daughters, Glenda Hudson of Kentucky and Louellen Rose McGowan and Mary Donna Casey, both of McKenzie; four sons, Buck Casey and Adam Casey, both of Huntingdon, and Josh Casey and Elvis Casey, both of Nashville; three stepchildren, Tim Casey and Jimmy Siggers of Huntingdon and Tina Reddick of Georgia; a sister, Jane Pruett of Huntingdon; a brother, Joe Casey of Mississippi; 20 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Clara Elizabeth Crawford
1920-2005
McKENZIE - Graveside services for Clara Elizabeth Crawford, 85, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, at Graceland cemetery in Greenville, South Carolina. The family received friends on Sunday, July 10, at McKenzie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crawford, a homemaker, died Friday, July 8, at McKenzie Healthcare.
She was born in Pickens, South Carolina, on February 19, 1920, to the late Allen K. Edens and Eula Mae Owens Edens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Broadus Crawford and a son, Allen B. Crawford.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Chadwick of McKenzie; two sisters, Joann Ladrie and Evelyn Reeves, both of Greenville, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Chris Chadwick and Tim Chadwick, both of McKenzie; and five great-grandchildren, Cara Chadwick, Katie Chadwick, Presley Chadwick, Michael Chadwick, and Jonathan Wilson.
Donations can be made to McKenzie Healthcare to honor Mrs. Crawford's memory.

Sybil Glisson Dove
1917-2005
BRUCETON - Services for Sybil Glisson Dove, 88, were conducted at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, at Bruceton Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend James S. Daniel officiating. Interment icon followed in New Prospect cemetery near Hollow Rock.
Mrs. Dove, a retired switchboard operator for Camden General Hospital, died Monday, July 11, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
She was born February 21, 1917, in Carroll County, to the late Everett E. and Viva Jane Davidson Glisson. She was a member of the Bruceton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Hobbs and Karen Deck, both of Bruceton; a son, Stephen J. Dove of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Evelyn Norwood of Camden and Betty D'Arcy of Bruceton; a brother, James Glisson of Huntsville, Alabama; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lexie J. Dove, and a daughter, Kathi Dove Woody.

Keith Norman Dean
1984-2005
DRESDEN - Services for Keith Norman Dean, 21, will be conducted Wednesday, July 13, at 2:00 p.m., in the Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden.
Mr. Dean died Sunday, July 10, at the Camden General Hospital from injuries incurred in a four-wheeler accident in Carroll County.
He was born in Martin to Bruce Norman and Amanda Kay Simpson Dean of Dresden, who survive. He was a Baptist by faith.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a daughter, Mallory Diane Dean of Latham; a son, Blake Anthony Dean of Palmersville; his fiance', Tacara Stanford of Dresden; a sister, Heather Nicole Dean of Dresden; a brother, Bruce Adam Dean of Dresden; and grandparents Maxine Dean of Dresden, Hershell Simpson of Dyersburg, and Minnie Zarco of Dyersburg.

James Gordon Reynolds
James Gordon Reynolds, 68, died Thursday morning, August 9 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Mr. Reynolds was born January 23, 1933; the eldest son of the late Weldon G. and Mollie Reynolds of McKenzie. He attended McKenzie High School and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with degrees in geology and criminal justice.
After high school, James enlisted in the United States Navy and then later in the United States Army. His distinguished military career spanned 20 years with service in Korea, Vietnam, Norway, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy, as well as assignments in the United States. His specialized service in the Army Intelligence merited the following decorations, medals and awards: The Bronze Star, Good Conduct medals, Sharp Shooter (Revolver .38), Marksman (Rifle .30) Vietnam Service Medal with three campaign starts, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, two Overseas Service Bars, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Berlin).
Mr. Reynolds also served as an advanced military language specialist. Upon retiring from the military, he worked in the geological field in the Mid-South before returning to the McKenzie area.
He is survived by a sister, Alice Vaughn of Daytona Beach, FL and five brothers, Randolph Reynolds of Gleason, Arden Reynolds of Memphis, Chester Reynolds of Independence, MO and Argel Reynolds and Weldon Keith Reynolds, both of McKenzie.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 18 at Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church near McKenzie at 6:00 p.m. Dilday Funeral Home was is in charge of the arrangements.

Keith Bernard Raspberry
LEXINGTON - Services for Keith Bernard Rsspberry, 23, were at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 11 at St. Paul Baptist Church with Rev. Percy Smith officiating. Burial was in the Lexington cemetery. Mr. Raspberry died Monday, August 6 at Lexington Methodist from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He is survived by his parents, Gloria Burton, Jimmy Burton and Keith and Kathy Raspberry; his fiancee, Ms. Linda Evon Dwiggins of Covington; three sisters, Sheketha Raspberry of St. Louis, Missouri, Nichole Johnson of Lexington and Gwen Clark of Cedar Grove and a brother, Clayton Riley Raspberry of St. Louis, Missouri.
Peoples Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Dwayne E. "Bubba" Melton Jr.
McKENZIE - Dwayne E. "Bubba" Melton Jr., 34, died Monday, August 6, at his home at 510 Mitchell Road in the Henry County portion of McKenzie. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 9 at First Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Melton was owner and instructor at World Class Fitness Center in McKenzie.
He was born August 20, 1966 in Paris.
He was a 1985 graduate of McKenzie High School and a member of First Baptist Church in McKenzie.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Curtis Melton; one daughter, Caitlynn Melton; his father, Dwayne E. Melton Sr. and a sister, Derinda Wade, all of McKenzie.
His mother, Oleta Melton and a sister,Charlotte Melton Harris, preceded him in death.

Mary Ruth Morris
MILAN - Services for Mary Ruth Morris, 88, were Sunday, August 12 at 2:30 p.m. at the Hunt Funeral Home in Bradford, with Bro. Priestley Scott officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Green cemetery near Bradford.
Mrs. Morris, a homemaker, died Friday, August 10 at her residence.
She was born November 21, 1912 in Gibson County to the late Johnny Walker and Ola Walker. She was a member of Fairview Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Otha Morris and a son, Roy Lee Morris.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Bryant of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Patricia Neal of Trezevant; a son, Junior Morris of Milan; a sister, Alma Holden of Dyersburg; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
