Funeral services for Mr. Obea Bain, age 92, of Mobile, AL, formerly Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in the Providence Hospital, will be conducted Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Bain was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of the late Acie & Myra Turner Bain, a shift supervisor, a member of the Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a WWII Army veteran. Along with his parents, Mr. Bain was preceded in death by his wife: Mamie Tucker Bain & 1 sister: Earlene Griffin. Survivors include his wife: Myra Bain of Fayetteville, TN; 1 son: Bobby Bain of Mobile, AL; 2 grandchildren: Jennifer Bain & John Thompson, Robert & Leigh Bain; 2 great grandchildren: Cailin Bain & Grant Thompson and 3 sisters: Maureen Quick of Fayetteville, TN, Druvicie & Norman Barrows of Chantilly, VA, Dorothy Swinford of Tullahoma, TN. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beverly Taylor Winsett

Funeral services for Mrs. Beverly Taylor Winsett, age 35, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Monday, July 31, 2006 at her residence, will be conducted Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Joe George officiating. Mrs. Winsett was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of Betty Taylor & the late Franklin D. Taylor, a caregiver and attended Mt. View Free Holiness Church. Survivors include her mother: Betty Taylor of Flintville, TN; 1 brother: Dean Taylor of Flintville, TN; 2 nieces: Amanda Taylor & Aerial Taylor; 1 nephew: James Dean Taylor and several aunts and uncles. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nellie O. Johnson

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie O. Johnson, age 80, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at the Lincoln Skill Care Center, will be conducted Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. graveside in Riverview Memorial Gardens with Gallant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carl 'Chuck' Curtis

Funeral services for Mr. Carl 'Chuck' Curtis, age 73,of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Friday, August 4, 2006 at the Lincoln Care Center, will be conducted Monday, August 7, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. graveside in Flintville Cemetery with Rev. Mike Robertson officiating and Gallant Funeral Home officiating. Mr. Curtis was a native of Willis, MI, son of the late Hammond & Gertrude McIntyre Curtis, worked for Chrysler Corp., a member of the Stewarts Chapel Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife: Georgia 'Chris' Price Curtis of Fayetteville, TN; 1 daughter: Tina Marie Davis of Fayetteville, TN; 4 sons: Richard Wayne Curtis, Sr. of Madison, AL, Michael Carl Curtis of Milan, MI, Kenneth J. Hughes of Merritt Island, FL, Charles Robert Hughes of Fayetteville, TN; 3 brothers: Donald Curtis of Morley, MI, Lee Roy Curtis of Whitmore Lake, MI, David Curtis of Belleville, MI; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Sam Andy Teets

Funeral services for Mr. Sam Andy Teets, age 77, of Petersburg, TN, who passed away Monday, August 7, 2006 at the Huntsville Hospital, will be conducted Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Billions officiating. Mr. Teets was a native of  Pennsylvania, retired aircraft mechanic for McDonnell Douglas, was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters: Betty Roberts & Jane Diehr. Survivors include his wife: Sue Teets of Petersburg, TN; 1 daughter: Stephanie & Gary Bollard of LaQuinto, CA; 1 son: Jeffrey & Pamela Teets of Lakewood, CA; 2 step-sons: Mark Browning of Fayetteville, TN, Todd & Dana Browning of Wyandotte, MI; 5 granddaughters: Lauren Bollard, Megan Browning, Gracie Browning, Mallory Browning & Katie Browning; 1 brother: Jim & Charlotte Teets of Donalsonville, GA and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vealie Dortha Clemons

Funeral services for Mrs. Vealie Dortha Clemons, age 95, of Flintville, TN, who passed away Sunday, August 20, 2006 at the Donalson Care Center, will be conducted Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Bro. Charles George & Bro. Benny Hipps officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Clemons was preceded in death by her husband: Charlie Ernest Clemons and her parents: Dave & Rosa Hanback. She was a member of the Stewart's Chapel Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters: Melba Ruth Sotherland of Hazel Green, AL and Shelba June Reavis & husband: Thomas Allen of Wilmington, NC; 5 grandchildren: Robert Gary Forrester & wife: Paula of Ardmore, TN; William Michael Forrester & wife: Sandra of Taft, TN; George William Reavis & wife: Donna of Flintville, TN, Robin Jones & husband: Michael of Wilmington, NC, Charles Nichols Reavis of Wilmington, NC; 5 great grandchildren: Brandon Wayne Forrester & wife: Amy of Dayton, OH, Hilary Leigh Brown & husband: Scott of Dayton, OH, Leslie Michelle Wilborn & husband: Daniel of Paint Rock, AL, Miranda Manderson & husband: Casey of Flintville, TN, Rikki Stubblefield & husband: Adam Ray of Flintville, TN; 3 great-great grandchildren: Damion Ray Wilborn of Paint Rock, AL, Riley Brook Manderson of Flintville, TN and Renee' Lynn Brown of Dayton, OH. Mrs. Taylor was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Herbert & Edna Cothren, a store clerk and a member of the Stateline Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 daughters: Janice Bates of Duluth, GA, Shelia Gurley of Woodville, AL, Mozell Painter of Duluth, GA; 1 son: James A. Taylor of Hazel Green, AL; 1 sister: Clida Miller of Hazel Green, AL; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Orr was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of the late Walter Roy & Alice Lucille Freeman Stevenson, a seamstress and a member of the Church of Christ. Along with her parents, Mrs. Orr was preceded in death by her husband: Earl Orr. Survivors include 1 daughter: Judy Curtis of Fayetteville, TN; 1 grandchild: Skylar McKenzie Curtis; 1 sister: Frances Bradford of Fairview, TN and 1 brother: Lawrence L. Mrs. Everroad was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, daughter of Howard Strope and the late Bernice Luttrell Strope. She was a pharmacy technician and a member of the Maxwell Baptist Church. She is survived by 1 daughter: Shonna & James Raney of Irving, TX; 1 son: Chris & Cindy Everroad of Irving, TX; 4 grandchildren: Taya Everroad, Maren Everroad, Jason Landis, Ryan Raney; and father: Howard Strope of Belvidere, TN. Mr. Bubba Lester Wilkes

Funeral services for Mr. Bubba Lester Wilkes, age 39, of Fayetteville, TN, who passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2006, will be conducted Friday, September 1, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Pastor Patricia Staggs officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Wilkes was a native of Davidson Co., TN, son of the late William Thomas Wilkes and the late Frances Sullivan Raby, an electrician for Roles Electric and a member of the House of Faith Healing and Restoration Center. Survivors include his wife: Charlene Wilkes of Fayetteville, TN; 1 son: Justin Wilkes of Fayetteville, TN; 3 sisters: Pat Wilkes of Florida, Jo Daly, Lou Moyers both of Fayetteville, TN and 1 brother: Billy Wilkes of Georgia. Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Mr. Kenneth Larry Gautney

Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Larry Gautney, age 53, of Kelso, TN, who passed away Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the VA Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN, will be conducted Saturday, September 9, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Rev. Cleo Moon officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery. Mr. Gautney was a native of Lincoln Co., TN, son of Rannie Louise Smith Metcalf & the late Robert Yancey Gautney, was in the Army 101st & 82nd Divisions, a member of the American Legion and the Beech Grove Methodist Church. Along with his father, Mr. Gautney was preceded in death by 2 infant sons and 2 brothers: Carlos Gautney & Glenn Gautney. Survivors include 2 daughters: Kasey Young of Fayetteville, TN, Jamie Barnett of Chapel Hill, TN; 4 grandchildren: Kimberlynn, Kristian, Kendall & Kaylin Young all of Fayetteville, TN; mother: Rannie Louise Metcalf of Kelso, TN; 4 sisters: Marie Pitts of Flintville, TN, Shirley Bolding of Clarksville, TN, Diane Cook of Kelso, TN, Patsy Meadows of Joelton, TN; 1 brother: Terry Gautney of Fayetteville, TN and a bundle of nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Gallant Funeral Home.
