HARLEY W. PRICE

Memorial service for Harley W. Price, 63, of Gainesville, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Garner officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Price died July 29, 2002, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.

He was born June 8, 1939, in Cooke County to John and Faye Brown Price. On Dec. 6, 1985, he married Donna K. Cunningham in  Whitesboro. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and following his retirement was employed by the United States Corps of Engineers as a hydrographer.

Survivors include his wife, Donna K. Price of Gainesville; daughter, Sandra Westbrook of Gainesville; son, Wade Price of Princeton; grandchildren, Aaron Westbrook, and Joshua, Greg and Megan Price; brothers, Alvie Price of Gainesville, L.J. Price of Portage, Ind., Harold Price of New Braunfels, and Glen Price of  Whitesboro; and sister, Bobbie Westbrook of Gainesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June Price; brother, Tommy Price; sisters, Cletus Blackburn, Darleene Westbrook and Sara Price; and granddaughter, June RenŽ Price.

Honorary pallbearers are Randy Westbrook, Dean Westbrook, Mark Westbrook, Ricky Taylor, Mason Day, and Bobby Joe Westbrook.

No visitation is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

WANDA FAYE "SISSY" MOORE

Services for Wanda Faye Moore, 23, of Hunnewell, Kan., are set for 4 p.m. today at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Argo and the Rev. Roy Archer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Cooke County under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Ms. Moore died Feb. 1, 2003, in Wichita, Kan.

She was born March 9, 1979, in Denton to Doug and Debra Creed Moore of Hunnewell, Kan. She graduated from Forestburg High School in 1998.

Survivors include her parents, Doug and Debra Moore of Hunnewell, Kan.; grandparent, Wanda Faye Moore of Collinsville; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Brandi Moore of Forestburg and their children, Traci, Tasha, Tobey, Frank III and Jaggar; brother and sister-in-law, J.R. and Nila Moore of Hunnewell, Kan., and their children, Steven, Heaven, Malaci, and JeddaDya; sister, Carrie Barber of Hunnewell, Kan., and her children, Cassie and Tristen; brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Sharon Moore of Nocona and their daughter, Monica; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Traci Lynn Moore; brother-in-law, Bobby Barber; nephew, Rocky Barber; and grandparents, Frank E. Moore, and Robert A. and Norma J. Creed.

Pallbearers are Bobby Dwyer, James Mercer Jr., Chris Creed, Densel Moore Jr., Danny Moore II, Daylan Moore and Derek Moore.

Memorial contributions may be made to National Downs Syndrome Society; 666 Broadway; New York, N.Y. 10012.

THOMAS "TOMMY" PERRY

CALLISBURG -- Graveside service for Thomas "Tommy" Perry, 59, of Callisburg, is set for 3 p.m. today at Lexington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilson Little Funeral Home in Purcell, Okla., and the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mr. Perry died June 19, 2003, at Gainesville Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 6, 1944, in Purcell, Okla., to Eugene and Dorothy M. Kling Perry. He was employed as a painter in the building industry.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dana Perry of Norman, Okla.; two grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Diane Perry of Callisburg; sister and brother-in-law, Bettie and A.E. Cook of Gainesville; sister-in-law, Faye  Johnson of Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers.

ENOCH ERNEST BROYLES

DENTON -- Services for Enoch Ernest Broyles, 84, of Denton, formerly of Lake Kiowa, are pending under the direction of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton.

He died Dec. 5, 2002, at the Denton Good Samaritan Village.

He was born April 7, 1918, in Gillipolis, Ohio, to George and Nancy Ada Broyles. He was a retired colonel from the U.S. Air Force.

FERN ROBERTS

DENISON - Fern Roberts, 92, of Denison and formerly of East Jordan, Mich., died on Tuesday, April 10, 2001, in Denison, where her daughter Mary lives.

FRANK WOODS BLAGG

Services for Frank  Woods Blagg, 86, of Gainesville, are set for 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville.

LOVETA (COX) BEWLEY

Services for Loveta (Cox) Bewley, 78, of Gainesville, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Forestburg with C.E. Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Perryman Cemetery in Montague County under the direction of the McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.

Burial will follow Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in Borger under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

NOCONA - Graveside services for Edythe N. Rogers, 83, of Nocona, are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Clarkson Cemetery in Milam County with the Rev. Dan Darby officiating. JIMMIE A. MURPHY

Graveside service for Jimmie A. Murphy, 75, of Gainesville, is set for 2:30 p.m. today at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Hubert Wright officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

CARL BARTON SMITH

FORT WORTH - Services for Carl Barton Smith, 83, of Fort Worth, formerly of Collinsville, are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Huff Funeral Chapel in  Whitesboro with the Rev. Charles Hite officiating. Interment will follow in Hall Cemetery in Howe under the direction of the Huff Funeral Home of  Whitesboro.

Mr. Smith died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at the Fort Worth Care Center.

He was born Feb. 17, 1915, in Grayson County to Frank S. and Maud Florence Rankin Smith. On May 25, 1934, he married Neva Irene Grigg in Sherman. He was a carpenter and a Baptist. During World War II, Barton served approximately 4 years with the Seabees in the South Pacific. He was a 50-year Mason and retired from Carswell Air Base in Fort Worth. After his wife's death in September of 1998, he moved to Fort Worth.

Survivors include his sisters, Martha Boydston of Fort Worth and Frances Overby of Odessa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife on Sept. 23, 1998.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

The family will be at the Huff Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

GREGORY MORRELL GARRETT

Services for Gregory Morrell Garrett are set for 2:30 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 8100 Fireside Drive in Dallas. The Wake is set from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Garrett died Sept. 27, 1999.

He was born on Nov. 22, 1959, in Fort Belvoir, Va., to Irene and Lewis H. Garrett Sr. He was raised in Gainesville and relocated to Dallas. He was educated in the Gainesville Independent School District. After relocating to Dallas, he began working for Frito Lay, Inc., and ended up at Massound Furniture Mfg., Inc., for many years. He enjoyed singing.

Survivors include his sisters, Linda Kay Johnson, Connie Hendricks, Yvonne Hennesy, Debra Manuel, Ruthie Manuel, Marcia  Jackson and Mary Garrett, all of Dallas; brothers, Willie Sweatt, James Sweatt, Lewis Garrett Jr., Thomas Garrett, and Mitchell Garrett, all of Dallas; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Garrett.

VIRGIL LEE WELCH

Services for Virgil Lee Welch, 84, a long-time resident of Cooke County, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in  Whitesboro. A private family service will follow at the Dexter Community Church. Burial will be in the Dexter Cemetery North under the direction of the Huff Funeral Home of  Whitesboro.

Mr. Welch died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at Wilson N.  Jones Medical Center in Sherman following a lengthy illness.

He was born June 5, 1915, in Dallas to Walter Lee and Lena Ann Farner Welch. He grew up in Era and graduated from Gainesville High School, North  Texas State University and the University of  Oklahoma. He taught school in Muenster, Concord and Dexter where he met and married Louise Lamb in January of 1940.

He served as superintendent at the Callisburg schools prior to moving to El Paso where he worked as high school principal at Burges High School. He moved his family to Hobbs, N.M., where he worked as high school principal until his retirement in 1976.

Mr. Welch had served in the United States Marine Corps, worked at North American Aviation as a chemist during World War II, and was active throughout his life in the Methodist church, serving as adult Sunday school teacher in Hobbs, N.M. He also served on the Board of Trustees at the Callisburg Schools, helped establish the Dexter Community Church, was active in the Cooke County AARP, and was elected for two terms with the  Texas Silver Haired Legislature.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Louise Lamb Welch of Dexter; sons and daughters-in-law, W.D. and Su Welch of  Whitesboro and Bob and Penny Welch of Olathe,  Colo.; daughters and son-in-law, Ann and Jim Burhkuhl of Big Spring and Lanita Newsome of Dexter; seven grandchildren, two step-grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Lee Welch Jr. of Fort Worth; and sister, Vera Mae Smith of Dallas.

The family requests donations be made to the Building Fund or the Youth Fund at the  Whitesboro Methodist Church or to the Dexter Community Church.

There will be no family visitation at the funeral home.

RAMA LEE (COOK) LANDERS

Services for Rama Lee (Cook) Landers, 76, of Haltom City, are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Forestburg with the Rev. Michael Feese and the Rev. Mel Caraway officiating. Burial will follow in Perryman Cemetery in Montague County under the direction of the McCoy Funeral Home of Saint Jo.

The family meal is set for noon Friday at the Forestburg Community Center.

Mrs. Landers died May 31, 2000, at All Saints Health Systems in Fort Worth.

She was born May 18, 1924, in Forestburg to Fred David and Dora Rachael Landers Cook. On April 18, 1943, she married J.C. Landers in Marietta, Okla. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Watauga, where she worked about 30 years as the financial secretary, retiring in 1995. She lived in the Haltom City area for about 25 years and in Watauga prior to that. For several years, she directed "Mother's Day Out," a group caring for church children to relieve their mothers. She enjoyed flowers and her family, and sending cards to people.

Survivors include her husband, J.C. Landers of Haltom City; daughter, Betty Barrow of Watauga; sons, William Landers of Watauga, Jerry Garland of N. Richland Hills, and Chris Landers of Weatherford; 15 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carolyn Hart; son, Johnny Landers; and brother, Wayne Cook.

Pallbearers are Bryan Barrow, Todd Landers, Wesley Landers, Quentin Landers, Britt Landers, and Josh Landers.

Honorary pallbearers are Brad Hart, Jim Hart and David Bigbee.

ELSIE WAYLAND DANE

PILOT POINT - Services for Elsie Wayland Dane, 92, of Pilot Point, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Pilot Point with the Rev. Luther Slay officiating. Burial will follow in Belew Cemetery in Aubrey under the direction of the Huff-Slay Funeral Home of Pilot Point.

Mrs. Dane died Sept. 28, 2000, at Denton Community Hospital in Denton.

She was born Dec. 14, 1907, in Parker County to J.C. and Emma Jane Wheeler Wayland. On April 19, 1929, she married Jacob Asa "Jake" Dane in Marlow, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Pilot Point, as well as Roadrunners at Calvary Baptist Church and the Belew Club.

Survivors include her sons, E.J. Dane of Denton and Bobby Dane of Pilot Point; daughters, Velda Keith of Bonham, Emma Perry of Denton and Loraine Simpson of Denton; sisters, Vera Stoner of Sand Springs, Okla., and Linnie Ivey of Harlingen; brothers, Raymond Wayland and Clem Wayland, both of Fort Worth; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sons, Donny Dane, Robert Frank Dane and James Norman Dane.

Pallbearers are Kelly Dane, Billy Keith, Ronnie Hensley, Brad Dane, Craig Dane and Kirk Dane. Honorary pallbearer is Matt Dane.

Visitation is at the Huff/Slay Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.

MARY SKINNER DAVIS

Services for Mary Skinner Davis, 83, of Gainesville, were set for 10 a.m. Friday at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Threadgill of Pilot Point officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in  Whitesboro under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mrs. Davis died May 4, 1999, at Pecan Tree Manor.

She was born Feb. 1, 1916, in Clarksville, to Robert and Carry Wren McCall. On May 12, 1935, she married Chafe C. Skinner in  Whitesboro. He preceded her in death in 1968. In 1972, she married Johnny Davis, who preceded her in death in 1994. She was reared in Bogota,  Texas, and lived in Callisburg from 1935 until moving to  Whitesboro in 1961. She had resided in Gainesville since 1997. She was formerly employed in the Grandparent Program at the Denton State School until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of a Baptist church.

Survivors include her sons, Charley Skinner of Sherwood Shores; Tommy, Babe and Jimmy Skinner, all of Gainesville; daughters, Lavern Skinner Archey of Soper, Okla., and Glinda Skinner Hutson of Sherman; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Tamplin of Wichita Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, William Ray Skinner in 1975 and a great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers are Darrell and David Skinner, Mike Wells, Tim Martin, Bryan Kennedy, and Glenn Hellinger. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Boggs and Todd Hemmestad.

RONNIE GENE MILLER

ARLINGTON - Services for Ronnie Gene Miller, 54, of Arlington, are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church in Arlington. Burial will follow in the Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington under the direction of the Arlington Funeral Home of Arlington.

Mr. Miller died Oct. 5, 1999, in Arlington.

He was born April 4, 1945, in Gainesville. He was a retired warehouse worker.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Linda Miller of Arlington; son and daughter-in-law, James and Noemi Miller of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jamie Cantrell of Arlington; mother, Dorothy Miller of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, James and Nancy Miller of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Douglas Schafer of Plano, Trixie Chapman of Allen and Kathy and Brian Pearson of Gainesville; one granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

EDNA EARLE WYATT

Services for Edna Earle Wyatt, 77, of Gainesville, are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Bennie R. Slack, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home of Gainesville.

Mrs. Wyatt died Nov. 2, 1999, at Gainesville Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Itasca to Oscar Lee and Amma Fletcher Hayes Bradham. On April 27, 1967, she married David F. Wyatt in Midland. She was a homemaker and was a very active member of the First Baptist Church and its Senior Adult Choir.

Survivors include her husband, David F. Wyatt of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Anita Gribbin of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law, Tom and Kay Penticuff in Mesquite; step-sons and step-daughter-in-law, Greg and Diane Wyatt of Arlington and Tony Wyatt of Clearwater; step-daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Bob Morrison of Florida; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brad and Nita Bradham of Grand Junction,  Colo., and Doug and Millie Bradham of Arlington.

Pallbearers are Bill Holderman, Lee James, Willard James, Johnny Leftwich, Wade Orsburn, and Ray Sicking. Honorary pallbearers are Elmo Frost, Dexter Dennis and Buddy Sisson.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
