Emily (nee Marshall), aged 91 years, beloved wife of the late Ezra, loving mother of Edward, Jean, Lily, Joan, Joyce and the late Christine, a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. Friends please meet for service at St. Cuthbert's Church, North Road, Durham on Thursday, December 9 at 2.30 p.m., interment to follow in churchyard.

CLARK On December 3 (peacefully in hospital), of Colstan Road, Northallerton. Annie Elizabeth, aged 90 years, dearly loved wife of the late Edwin, loving mother of Brian and Brenda and a dear mother-in-law, grandma and great-grandma. Funeral service to be held in Northallerton Methodist Church, 11.00 a.m. Friday, December 10, prior to cremation. Family flowers only. Donations, if wished, may be given for chapel funds.

CLAYTON Beatrice (Bea), died peacefully on December 1, 2004. Much missed by her daughter Margaret, husband Jack, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donations in her name may be made to the International Fund for Animal Welfare.

COLE David, aged 52 years, of Newton Aycliffe and Darlington, suddenly in Spain on December 3. Dearly loved son of Lily and Fred and a sadly missed brother of John, Marna and Andy, father of Danielle and Matthew. Funeral in Mijas Pueblo, Andalucia on Thursday.

FERENS Mary ('Peter') nee Surtees, of Gainford, aged 86 years, peacefully on December 8, 2004, after a brave battle with cancer. James (Jim), aged 81 years, dearly beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Sharratt), a much loved dad of Peter, James, Aidan and Clare, dear father-in-law and devoted grandad of the family. To be received into St. Joseph's Home Chapel, Westmorland Road on Thursday, December 9 at 7.30 p.m. Requiem Mass on Friday, December 10 at St. Robert's R.C. Church, Fenham at 11.00 a.m., interment to follow at the West Road Cemetery at 12.15 p.m. All welcome afterwards to St. Joseph's Home for reception. No flowers by request.
