REEVE - George Alfred February 3, in hospital, after a short illness. George, aged 88 years, beloved husband of the late Bunty. Funeral service to be held at Darlington Crematorium on Wednesday, February 15 at 1.15 p.m. Donations in lieu of floral tributes may be given to Hollybush and the Donkey Sanctuary. Plate provided at the service.


ROBINSON - On February 7, at Leeming Garth Nursing Home (formerly of Burneston and Well). Albert Watson, aged 81 years, beloved husband of the late Margaret and a very dear uncle. Funeral service and interment at St. Michael's Church, Well on Monday, February 13 at 2.00 p.m. Friends please meet at the church.


SHARP - February 6, of Newfield. Marjorie (nee Race), aged 77 years, formerly of West Auckland. Beloved wife of the late Edward, devoted mother of Kenneth, Edward and Robert, a dear mother-in-law, much loved and loving nana, also a dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. A bus is provided from home to church and return. Service to be held in St. Peter's Church, Byers Green at 9.00 a.m. on Friday, February 10, followed by interment at West Auckland. All are invited for refreshment in The Queens Head, Newfield after this service.


SHINE - February 9 (peacefully), of Shildon, formerly of Budleigh Salterton, Devon. Beatrice (nee Hornet), aged 80 years, loving wife of the late Ted, adored and loved by all her family and friends. Friends please meet for service and cremation in Durham Crematorium on Friday, February 17 at 1.00 p.m.


SINCLAIR - January 30 (suddenly in hospital, after a short illness). Walter Johnson, aged 85 years, of Darlington, a dear husband of Effie, a much loved dad to David, Carol and Kenneth, a father-in-law to Kathleen and Wendy, also a special grandad and great-grandad. Funeral to take place on Thursday, February 9. Would family and friends please meet for service 11.00 a.m. at St. John's Church, Darlington prior to cremation at Darlington Crematorium.


SOULSBY - February 5, peacefully in hospital, of Hedley Hill Terrace, Waterhouses. Hilary, aged 63 years, dearly loved wife of Cyril and deeply beloved daughter of the late Billy and Rene Allen and will be sadly missed by all her family. Friends please meet for service in St. Paul's Church, Waterhouses on Monday, February 13 at 10.45 a.m., followed by cremation at Durham.


SPOTTISWOODE - James (Jim), aged 85 years, passed away peacefully on February 5. Beloved husband of Margaret, loving dad of Jim and Helene, a dear father-in-law of Margaret and Peter, also a much loved grandad of Kieran, Callum, Jamie and Iain. Funeral Monday, February 13. Would family and friends please meet 11.45 a.m. for service at Darlington Crematorium. Family flowers only please.

Devoted husband of the late Pat, loving father to Neil and Lynne, dear father-in-law to Karen and Thomas, grandad to Rebecca, Luke, Sophie and Thomas. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium for service and committal on Monday February 13, at 3.30 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if so desired to Cancer Research, plate provided at the crematorium. All welcome afterwards at The Copthill, Houghton-le-Spring.


STEWART - February 2 (peacefully in hospital), of Brandon. Billy, aged 61 years, dearly loved husband of Ann and a much loved dad, brother, son and grandad. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Thursday February 9 at 12.00 noon. Family flowers only please. STOCKDALE - Ethel (nee Burdett) February 4, 2006, peacefully in Leeds General Infirmary, aged 94 years, formerly of Chestnut Close, Shildon. Dearly loved wife of the late Harry Stockdale and loving mother of Melanie and Juliet. Dear sister of William and Ellen and also a very dear aunt. Cortege will leave her daughter's residence in Morley, Leeds on Thursday, February 9 at 3.25 p.m. for service and cremation at Cottingley Hall Crematorium at 3.40 p.m. Family flowers only please, but donations in lieu, if so desired, for Ward 45, Leeds General Infirmary. STOKER - February 4 (after a long illness bravely borne), of High Hope Street, Crook. Tanya (nee France), aged 33 years, a loving partner of Jamie, a dearly loved and devoted mother of Isaac and Samuel, a beloved daughter of Alan and Carol and a dear sister of the late Natasha. Friends please meet for service in St. Catherine's Church on Thursday, February 9 at 12.40 p.m., followed by cremation at Durham. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu, if so desired, to the Macmillan Nurses, c/o Mr. and Mrs. France, 8 High Hope Street, Crook, a plate will also be provided at Durham Crematorium. Tanya's wish was for no sombre colours to be worn at her funeral.


STOKOE - February 5, after nine years of illness borne with great courage. Hilda, aged 79 years, of Bishop Auckland, beloved wife of the late Thomas Shotton (Tom), devoted and much loved mam of Lesley and Ian, dear mother-in-law to Sue and loving grandma of Eve, Zoë and Freya, dear sister of Ron and Cliff, also a dear sister-in-law and aunt. Will family and friends please meet for service in St. Anne's Church, Bishop Auckland at 10.30 a.m. on Friday, February 10, followed by cremation at Durham.


STOREY - 17.5.42 - 07.02.06 Frank David, aged 63 years, formerly of Eldon Street, Darlington, died peacefully in Bath Hospital on February 7, 2006. A dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle.


THOMSON - February 7, of Crook. James (Jimmy), aged 71 years, beloved husband of Mary, devoted dad of Christine, Sandra, Barry, Jonathan and Liam, a dear father-in-law, much loved and loving grandad, also a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14. By request, no flowers. Donations in lieu may be left at the crematorium for Cancer Research and the Macmillan Nurses.
