WILLIAMSBURG -- Elsie Phillips, 84, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1998, in York Convalescent Center, Yorktown, Va.
She was a native of Dorchester, Va., and a retired employee of the Navy Department.
Survivors include two sisters, Helen Donnells, Chesapeake Beach, Md., and Jeanette Miller, Williamsburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date.

MARION -- Kate Rosenbalm Ramsey, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, in Smyth County Community Hospital.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the widow of Ernest "Pete" Ramsey.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Ann Bales, Woodstock, Ga.; two sons, Ernest (Eddie) Ramsey, Hodges, S.C., and Robert (Bob) Ramsey, Marion; two brothers, Robert Milton Rosenbalm, Damascus, and Raymond Ray Rosenbalm, Highland, Calif.; one grandson; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.

Gayle R. Rosenbaum
GLADE SPRING -- Mrs. Gayle Ratcliffe Rosenbaum, 73, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Washington County and a retired employee of Southwestern State Hospital.
She was the widow of French D. Rosenbaum.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Annie P. Ratcliffe, Abingdon, Mrs. Ronald (Hazel) Lester and Mrs. Leo (Sue) Powers, both of Glade Spring.

Eva M. Seal
Eva M. Lamb Seal, 90, of Bristol, Tennessee, formerly of Sneedville, died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church and the widow of Hugh Seal.
Survivors include three sons, Hugh E. Seal and William G. Seal, both of Providence, R.I., and F.M. Seal, Franklin, Va.; four daughters, Dolly M. Harrell, Ahoskie, N.C., Betty Brooks, Providence, Judy Seal, Bristol, Tennessee, and Sue Johnson, Four Oaks, N.C.; 37 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be held Tuesday in Sneedville.

Veronica S. Willhite
AUSTELL, Ga. -- Veronica Sue Willhite, 28, of 4228 Floyd Road, Apartment B, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, in Cartersville Medical Center, Cartersville, Ga.
She had lived most of her life in the Bristol area, was a graduate of John S. Battle High School, where she was a cheerleader for four years, and was a former Miss John S. Battle.
She was an employee of Home Depot and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, Brandon Chase Willhite, Austell; her parents, Shelby and Judy Hensley, Bristol, Virginia; and one brother, Kenny Hensley, Bristol, Virginia.

Joseph D. Worley Sr.
KEEN MOUNTAIN -- Joseph Dorse Worley Sr., 55, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, in a Richlands hospital.
He was a native of Buchanan County, a retired U.S. Army veteran of the Vietname War with 20 years of service and was employed with Keen Mountain Department of Corrections.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Keen Worley; one daughter, Cheri Lynn Blankenship, Claypool Hill; one son, Joseph D. Worley, of the home; his mother, Bonnie Yates Worley, Pounding Mill; three brothers, Steven Worley, Florida, Norman Douglas Worley, Doran, and Raleigh Worley, Claypool Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Margaret) Mullins, Beckley, W.Va., and Mrs. Johnny (Darla) Vandyke, Richlands; and two grandchildren.

SALTVILLE -- Mrs. Schreda Allison Worley, 70, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at her home.
Survivors include her husband, John T. Worley; one brother, Garnett "Buddy" Allison, Marion; two sisters, Hazel Frye and Flossie Hill, both of Saltville; and several nieces and nephews.

Douglas D. Allison
BROADFORD//SALTVILLE -- Douglas Dwight Allison, age 86, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998, at Frances Marion Manor, Marion.
He lived and farmed in Red Rock Cove for more than 70 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Allison.
Survivors include one son, William Thomas Allison of Ford, Va.; one daughter, Mary Roark of Tannersville; six grandchildren, Angela Chappell, Martin Allison, Steven Allison, William Allison Jr., Lesley (Roark) Blevins and Michael Frye; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
