CHURCH HILL, Tenn. -- Helen Eilene Gullion, 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Kingsport.
She was a native of Smyth County, Va., but formally of Bristol before moving to Church Hill.
She was a retired employee of Bristol Regional Medical Center and was of the Methodist faith.
She was the widow of Alfred Raymond Gullion.
Survivors include a daughter, Francis Marie Gullion, Spence Hamm of the Colony, Texas; a son, Willard R. Gullion, Bristol Tennessee; a sister, Hazel Mary Lynch, Marion; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mathew F. Henderson Jr.
KINGSPORT -- Mathew Fern Henderson Jr., 78, died Monday, Dec. 21, 1998 at his home.
He was a native of Washington County, Va., and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.
He was a graduate of John A. Gupton School of Mortuary Science in 1948, and was a member of the Virginia Funeral Directors and Embalmers. He was funeral director and embalmer for the Gate City Funeral Home, Inc., for over 25 years.
He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and the Tennessee Sheriff's Association.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Henderson; two sons, Bill Henderson and Monty Henderson, both of Kingsport; three grandsons, a sister, Maggie Henderson, Abingdon; two brothers, Dan Henderson, Lebanon, and Gus Henderson, Wilmington, N.C., and several nieces and nephews.

Winnie E. Hester
KEGLEY, W.Va. -- Mrs. Winnie Ellen Hester, 78, of P.O. Box 7, Bluestone Road, died Monday, Dec. 21, 1998 in Princeton Community Hospital.
She was a native of Bristol Tennessee and was a retired employee of the Mercer County Board of Education, having served as a cook with more than 23 years of service, retiring from the Melrose Elementary School.
She was a member of Kegley Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Walter Ransom Hester.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Priscilla "Penny" Dunn, Kegley; two step-daughters, Edna Shrader and Patricia Gibson; four step-sons, Jack, Arnold, Omer and James Hester; two grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Johnson, Bristol Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Princeton, W.Va.

Hursal R. Ingle, 59, of Bristol Virginia died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998 in Wellmont Hospice House.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County and a former employee of General Shell Bris-Blox.
He was a member of Calvary Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma S. Ingle; a son, Doug Ingle, Bristol Virginia; three sisters, Marie Leonard and Vic Fleenor, both of Bristol Virginia and Phyllis Ingle, Piney Flats; four brothers, Wyndom Ingle and Charlie Ingle, both of Bristol Tennessee; Howard Ingle, Dublin, Va., and Raymond Ingle, Mendota, Va.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

LEXINGTON, N.C. -- Estil Kilgore Justus, 49, died Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, in Lexington Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Buchanan County and lived there several years prior to moving to North Carolina.
He attended the Old Regular Baptist Church and was a disabled coal miner.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ruby Justus Justus, Grundy; four sisters, Sarah Helen Stiltner, Maxie, Va., Ruth Ann Stacy, Hurley, Va., Josephine Ratliff, Hodgensville, Ky., and Patsy Justus, Grundy; three brothers, Hayes Justus Jr., Willard Justus and Lester Justus, all of Grundy.

George W. Lampkins, 71, of Bristol Virginia died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Kingsport, and had lived most of his life in the Bristol area.
He was a retired employee of Raytheon Company.
He was a member of the Bristol Tennessee Elks Lodge No. 2323, Patton Crosswhite VFW Post No. 6975, the Around Town Dance Club of Bristol, The Friendship Dance Club, Bluff City, The Woodman of The World and the Slater Senior Citizens.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Gay Lampkins; two sons, Mike Lampkins and Gary Lampkins, both of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; three brothers, Clarence Lampkins, Poinette, Wis., Charlie Lampkins, Bristol Tennessee, and Ray Lampkins, Greensboro, N.C.; two sisters, Pauline Smith, Blountville, and Daisy Moore, Bristol Tennessee; his step-mother, Margaret Lampkins, Bristol Tennessee; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

HONAKER -- Mrs. Liddie J. Owens, 98, of Rutherford Drive, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, at her home.
She was a native of Buchanan County and had lived in the Honaker area for 80 years.
She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Dave Owens.

MEADOWVIEW, Va. -- William Arlen Pierce, 65, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Kingsport.
He had lived most of his life in Washington County, Va., and had lived 20 years in Meadowview.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served 17 months in Okinawa.
He retired from Hillco Trucking Company after 13 years of service.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Annabel Pierce, Bristol Virginia; two sisters, Loretta Fields, Bristol Tennessee and Jenene Hudson, Abingdon; a son; a daughter; three grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews; several great-great-nieces and a great-great-nephew.

Myrtle F. McFaddin Reynolds, 76, of 232 Shankle Mill Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Lebanon and had lived in Russell County, Va., before moving to Bristol in 1952.
She was a former employee of Valleydale and The Aircraft Factory and a member of Bethel View Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Reynolds; a son, James McFaddin, Big Pine Key, Fla.; two sisters, Audrey McReynolds, Bristol Virginia, and Sarah Pippin, Abingdon; three brothers, Bobby McFaddin, Abingdon, Thomas McFaddin, Meadowview, Va., and Henry McFaddin, Lebanon; four granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
