Harry C. Jackson, 71, of 1624 Edgemont Ave., Bristol, Tenn., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of
Johnson City, and had lived most of his life in the Bristol area.
He retired from Flav-O-Rich, and was a member of MM Martin Masonic Lodge 547 F&AM.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley R. Jackson; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Tammy) Stevens, Piney Flats; one son, the Rev. Freddy Jackson, Bristol, Tennessee; one sister, Bertha L. Patterson,
Johnson City; one brother, James Jackson,
Johnson City; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Wylodine Justus
WHITEWOOD, Va. -- Mrs. Wylodine "Dean" Justus, 45, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, in a Richlands hospital.
She was a native of Tazewell County and a graduate of Whitewood High School and Southwest Virginia Community College.
She was office manager of Race Fork Coal Company, Hurley, and a member of Baptist Bible Church, Pilgrim Knob, Va.
Survivors include her husband, Danny P. Justus; one daughter, Mrs. Bill (Tamara) Payne, Winston Salem, N.C.; one step-son, Matthew Justus, Hurley, Va.; her mother, Mrs. Beulah Ward White, Whitewood; one sister, Mrs. Jerry (Jackie) Brewster, Pounding Mill, Va.; and one brother, Archie White, Whitewood.

Audrey King
BLOUNTVILLE -- Audrey King, 79, of 1416 Big Hollow Road, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 1997, in Greystone Health Care Center, Blountville.
She was a native of Greene County, Tenn., and had lived in Sullivan County most of her life.
She was the widow of her fist husband, Sam Hendrickson and her second husband, Joe King.
She had worked at Bristol Memorial Hospital and was retired from Indian Path Hospital, Kingsport.
She was also a member of Buffalo Christian Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Ann Osborne and Frances Hicks, both of Piney Flats; three brothers, Glenn Rader, Tucson, Ariz., Charles M. Rader, Bluff City and James Elmo Rader, Lake Worth, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Howard L. Pickett
EUBANK, Ky. -- Howard Lee Pickett, 62, of 125 Woodstock Street, died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, in Columbia Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, Ky.
He was a native of Lethair, Ky. and a sheet metal worker.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Pickett; five sons, Howard Lee Pickett Jr., Coeburn, Kevin Pickett, Doug Pickett and Richard Pickett, all of California, Sean Pickett, Portland, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. James (Linda) Winebarger, Mrs. Wythe (Lisa) Sweeney, both of Coeburn, Mrs. George (Elizabeth) Rollins, Lexington, Ky.; his mother, Chloe Gambel; one brother, Charles Wood, Garrette, Ind.; one sister, Carol Sue Gambell; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday in Kentucky.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. -- Mrs. Hallie Landreth Raines, 93, formerly of Harman, Va., died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, in a Greenville hospital.
She was a native of Tazewell, and had lived in Union, W.Va., for 30 years before moving to Greeneville.
She was a member of Union Memorial Baptist Church.
She was a seamstress and a former employee of Leggett, Inc., in Princeton, W.Va.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Pikesville, Ky.
She was the widow of her first husband, Jermone Hall Landreth; and her second husband, Ossie Raines.
Survivors include one son, Zane Landreth, Greeneville; and one granddaughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Gail) Hooker, Lebanon.

MARION -- Gladys Pearson Smith, 86, died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, in Presbyterian Hospital, New York City.
She was a native of Virginia, but had moved to New York City as a teenager where she lived for more than 70 years.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Smith; two sisters, Mary Ella "Boots" Valentine and Kathleen Foote, both of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

Verna Sturgile
BIG STONE GAP, Va. -- Verna Sturgile, 58, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, in Norton Community Hospital, Norton, Va.
She was a native of Dallas, Texas; and had lived in Big Stone Gap since 1970.
She was a graduate of Mountain Empire Community College with a business degree.
She was a computer programmer with the U.S. Government in Washington, D.C.
Survivors include two brothers, Joseph Davis Sturgile, East Stone Gap and Milton Barnes, California; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a former employee of the Olin Corporation and Simmons-Rand Company.

KNOXVILLE -- Doris Jane Price Williams, 52, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, in St. Mary's Medical Center.
She was a member of Magnolia Avenue United Methodist Church.
She was an employee of TVA for 17 years and was a graduate of UT and Maryville College.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Gene Williams; one brother, Thomas Edward Price, Knoxville; four sisters, Faye Stevens, Marie Buchanan and Brenda Harrison, all of Bristol, Nancy Glovier, Abingdon; her step-mother, Betty Price, Abingdon; one niece; three nephews; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
