Hazel E. Yeager
Hazel E. Yeager, age 95 of Dousman, formerly of Buffalo, New York, died Saturday December 15, 2001 at the Masonic Health Care Center.

Hazel was born January 13, 1906 in Buffalo, New York, a daughter of Gust and Mathilda (nee Bidderman) Brade. She loved to play cards, especially bridge, and enjoyed sewing, golf. Hazel was always happy and enjoyed sharing her smiles. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry Paul Yeager, her two brothers: Raymond and Arthur Brade and her sister-in-law: Florence Brade.

Hazel is survived by her daughter: Sally Bronkala of Sullivan, Wisconsin, a step-son: James W. (Lorraine) Yeager of Kenmore, New York, four grandsons: Thomas Robbin of Springbrook, Wisconsin, Richard (Judy) Robbin of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Douglas (Ellen) Yeager of Mukwonago, Wisconsin, and Terry April Yeager Lexington, North Carolina along with several great grandchildren. Hazel is also survived by her sister: Mildred Williams of Alden, New York, a daughter-in-law: Shirley Yeager of Waukesha, Wisconsin along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service celebrating Hazel's life will be Wednesday December 19, 2001 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home (237 N. Moreland Blvd.) in Waukesha. The Rev. Jack Way of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Rome, Wisconsin will be the officiant. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, New York. Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5 P.M. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Masonic Health Care Center (400 N. Main Dousman, Wisconsin 53118)

Hazel's family would like to thank the Masonic Health Care Center in Dousman for their wonderful care they gave to Hazel. "You are all Angels."

Jeffrey G. (Jeff) Kuehn
Jeffrey G. (Jeff) Kuehn, age 43, a lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Sunday December 16, 2001 at his home with his loving family. Jeff was born January 24, 1958 in Waukesha a son of Gene and Carol (nee Kohnen) Kuehn. He graduated from Waukesha North High School in 1976 and then went on to obtain an Associate Degree from the University of Waukesha in Waukesha. After graduation, he worked at Quad Graphics until 1998.

Jeff was an avid hockey fan. He loved to collect hockey cards and hockey memorabilia. He also enjoyed cooking Cajun food and had a large collection of Cajun cookbooks.

Jeff is survived by his daughter: Lindsay Taylor Kuehn of Edgerton, Wisconsin, his parents: Gene and Carol Kuehn of Waukesha, his brother: Thomas George (Janette) Kuehn of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, his niece Taylor Rae Kuehn of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin along with other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank everyone who said prayers for Jeff. They also want to thank Dr. Thomas Wittman and his nurses Mary and Donna, Dr. Harinder Gill and everyone in the kidney dialysis area at Waukesha Memorial. "You all took such good care of Jeff" A special thanks to Trudi Anderson who was his special nurse at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Memorials to the American Heart Association (795 N. Van Buren Milwaukee, WI. 53202), to the Waukesha Memorial Foundation for the Nephrology Unit (725 American Avenue Waukesha, WI. 53188) or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Martha Cox-Snarski
Martha Cox-Snarski, of Milwaukee died December 6, 2001 at the age of 76 years.

Martha was an active volunteer at St. Mary's Senior Center.

Beloved mother of Donald (Carol) Schiffler, Theodore (Mary) Whalen, Danny Cox, and Kathleen (Michael) Moore. Step-mother of Sandra Snarski, Gloria (Ed) Jacobson and Donna (Waitis) Parker. Dear grandmother of 14 grandchildren. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her first husband Marvin Cox, second husband John Snarski and her son Keith Cox.

Funeral services were scheduled Tuesday, December 11, 2001 at 7 p.m. Friends may call Tuesday from 3 p.m. until time of services. Interment Veterans Cemetery at Wood, WI.

Natalie M. Mura
Natalie M. Mura of Waukesha died on Sunday, December 16, 2001 at the Waters of Westmoreland Health Care Center at the age of 92 years. She was born on November 11, 1909 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Walter and Martha (nee Jarzembowski) Nicgorski.

Natalie lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin until 4 years ago when she moved to Waukesha. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Kenosha and the church's Christian Mothers' Society.

She is the dear mother of Audrey R. Murray of Waukesha and the grandmother of Mura Jane (Terry) McKinney of Holmen, WI., Lia (Jim) Kroner of Parker, CO., and Kristen (Pat) Ristow of Waukesha, WI. She will be missed by her great grandchildren Duncan & Keara McKinney, Samantha, Shane and Cole Kroner, and Dylan Ristow. Also surviving are other relatives and friends. Natalie was preceded in death by her husband Edwin in 1990, her son-in-law Harold "Tom" Murray in 1999 and her great granddaughter Francine.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 21, 2001, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Kenosha. Fr. Kenneth Metz will celebrate Mass. Friends may call on Thursday, December 20, 2001 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. A parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials to the American Heart Association would be appreciated. Entombment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Kenosha.

Ralph G. Larson
Longtime Waukesha resident, Ralph G. Larson, died suddenly Sunday, December 9, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 67 years. He was born on March 6, 1934 in Viroqua, Wisconsin, the son of Gayhardt and Ruth Larson.

Ralph was a member of St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha. He worked for the Amron Corporation for 30 years, having retired on March 8, 1996. Ralph was a Vikings fan and he enjoyed trout fishing with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed cooking and family gatherings.

He is the beloved husband of Rae Ellen (nee Titulear), whom he married on February 17, 1968 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Waukesha. He is the dear father of Tracey (Gregg) Tucker, Heidi (Jeff), Cheri (Jim), Jacqueline, Jamie (Rob) and Justin Larson. He is the grandfather of Danielle, Courtney, Ali, Jordan & Hannah. Ralph is the dear brother of Harland (Sharon) Larson of Janesville and Ronald Larson of Liberty Pole, WI. He is also survived by his mother-in-law June (Bob Narlow) Titulear of Waukesha and he is the brother-in-law of Georgia (Jack) Moyle of Fond du Lac and Christine (William) Olkowski of Waukesha. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Parks, his father-in-law George Titulear and his sister-in-law Fran Knoll.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 13, 2001 at 7 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Pastor James L. Wilch will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be on Friday , December 14, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Genesee Cemetery in Genesee, Wisconsin.

Raymond J. Seier
Raymond J. Seier, of Waukesha, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2001 at home of pancreatic cancer at the age of 70 years. Ray was born in Fall River, WI on July 26, 1931. He was the son of Clarence and Lucille (Piechekoski) Seier.

Ray and his wife owned the Blue Lantern from 1972 to 1979 and then the Wisconsin House from 1979 to 1991. Prior to that he was a guard at Waupun, City of Waukesha policeman, Brinks driver and did construction work for Oliver. Ray served his country in Korea with the 543rd Ammunition Supply, 6405th Air Support Wing. Ray was a member of the Eagles, VFW and Wisconsin House Outdoorsman’s Club. He loved to deer hunt and was a bowler with the 970 Classic League at Sunset Bowl. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Clarence, and his grandparents.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Evelyn, whom he married on October 19, 1969. He is survived by his two daughters, Lynn (Charles) Jones, Peggy (Douglas) Kirkland and Peggy’s six children; John, Alex, Kelsey, Michael, Grant and Jake, all of Arizona. He is also survived by his mother, Lucille, of Columbus, his sister, Joan (Donald) Lee, his brother Russell (Judy) all of Columbus, a niece and nephews. Additional survivors are his step-children; Sharon Otto of New Berlin, Judie (George) Farrell of Janesville, Robert (Deborah) Kabitzke of Waukesha and Gary (Kelly) Kabitzke of Grafton, 12 step-grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Ray will be Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at 6:00 pm at the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 424 Hyde Park Ave. Pastor James Wilch will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery. Donations may be made in his name to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Waukesha Memorial Regional Cancer Center or Rolland Nelson Crossroads Home Hospice.

Verl H. Cook
Lifelong Waukesha resident, Verl H. Cook, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at the Linden Grove Health Care Center in Waukesha at the age of 83 years. Mr. Cook was born on June 11, 1918 in Waukesha, the son of Harry & Florence (nee Jones) Cook.

Verl attended St. John's Military Academy and the University of Alabama before enlisting in the Navy. He served as a flight engineer on a patrol bomber in the South Pacific. Mr. Cook was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Waukesha. He retired from the Archie Ladewig Company and then later retired from the Waukesha School System in 1983. He enjoyed hunting and spending time at his lake home.

He is the dear father of Tom (Ellen) Cook of Mukwonago, Laura (Chuck) Eparvier of Rancho Cucamonga, CA., and Janiece (Mike) Mathews of Waukesha. He will be missed by his seven grandchildren: Chris Cook, Kari (Timothy) Ludke, Craig (Amy) Cook, Amy (Carter) Fink, Abbie (Robert) Neal, Jennifer & Jessica Mathews, and his great grandson Samuel Ludke. He is also survived by his cousin Helen Cannon of Portland, OR., as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie in December of 1998.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 1, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Pastor James L. Wilch will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, November 30, 2001 from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. On Saturday , immediately following the services, Military Honors will be provided at the interment at Summit Cemetery.

William F. (Pete) Petersen
Longtime Waukesha resident, William F. (Pete) Petersen, died Thursday November 29, 2001, at the Virginia Health & Rehabilitation Center in Waukesha at the age of 101 years. He was born October 23, 1900 in Rock Valley, Iowa, the son of William & Catharina (nee Otto) Petersen.

Bill was a graduate of Pewaukee High School in 1918. Bill's homestead was what is now the "Five O'clock Club" in Pewaukee. On that site, his family ran a chicken farm. He married Frances T. Timbers at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pewaukee (Now Queen of Apostles) on June 5, 1922. He worked at the Waukesha Motor Works (now Dresser Industries) for 35 years. He was a member of their Old Timers' Club. Bill was also an active member of the Waukesha Serra Club. He was a long time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waukesha. His wife Frances, who preceded him in death on January 11, 1986, used to teach for many years at St. Mary's Elementary School. Bill also enjoyed playing Shepshead with his friends.

Bill is survived by his nieces: Judy (Jerry) Mosca of North Mankato, MN., Mary (Bob) Woodford of Eau Claire, Colleen Bannick of Rice Lake, WI., Beverly Bibeau of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Patti (Bill) Appleyard of Chippewa Falls. Many dear friends also survive Bill. Beside his wife Frances, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers & sisters: Fredrick, Dora, Wilhelm F., Herman J., Anna E., Amalia M., Marie K., and Lorenz L.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 3, 2001 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waukesha. Fr. Brian Mason will celebrate Mass. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 1:15 p.m. until time of services. Interment will be on Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Eau Claire.

Donald G. Goerke
Donald G. Goerke, age 84 and lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Friday December 28, 2001 at his home surrounded by his family.

Donald was born December 5, 1917 in Waukesha a son of the late Ervin and Olive (nee Orton) Goerke. On October 5, 1940 he married Joan Podnar at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waukesha. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was with the 32nd Red Arrow Division, Company G 127th Infantry in the South Pacific. He worked at Miller Brewery for thirty years retiring in 1980. He is a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Genesee. He is also a life member of Soat-Vergenz Post #721 VFW in Waukesha. Don was a wonderful, generous person with a great sense of humor. He never complained and accepted things as they were. He was a good husband and father who took pride in his family, home and his work. He loved to be outside especially helping in the garden. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son: John D. on January 23, 1967, and his three brothers: Douglas, Armand, and Calvin Goerke.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife: Joan Goerke of Waukesha, Wisconsin, His daughter: Barbara A. Lacey of Colorado Springs, Colorado, his two sons: Robert D. (Cheryl) Goerke of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Lesley J. Goerke of Waukesha, Wisconsin, his four grandchildren: Janet E. Lacey and Jennifer D. Lacey of Santa Barbara, California, and Erin N. and Sarah A. Goerke of Waukesha, Wisconsin along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial Mass is planned Friday January 4, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Genesee (Hwy 83 and County D). Father Bob Gosma will be the celebrant of the Mass. Burial will be in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Genesee, Wisconsin. Friends may call on Thursday January 3, 2002 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha. A parish vigil will be held at 7:00 P.m. at the funeral home Thursday evening. Memorials in Don's Name may be directed to the Rolland D. Nelson/Crossroads Hospice (1020 James Drive Hartland, WI. 53029), St. Paul's Catholic Church in Genesee, or to the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to thank Waukesha Memorial Hospital staff and physicians for their loving care. They especially want to thank the Rolland D. Nelson/Crossroads Hospice for the care they gave Don.

Dolores Solheim McCreary
Dolores Solheim McCreary, age 82 of Waukesha died Tuesday December 18, 2001 at the Linden Grove Health Care Facility in Waukesha.

Dolores was born May 14, 1919 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a daughter of John Otenious Solheim and Ida Ione (nee Porter) Solheim. She graduated as the Salutatorian from the Stoughton High School in 1939. She then attended the Wisconsin State Teachers College and married Sam McCreary. She had worked for Blue Cross in Chicago for 25 years. She also lived in Phoenix Arizona and Pompano Beach Florida before moving to Waukesha in 1987. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Alice Marks, two brothers: Vernon and Carl, a sister-in-law: Joan Solheim, and her very dear friend, Ed.

Dolores is survived by her brother: Russell (Aileen) Solheim of Waverly, Iowa her four nieces: Karen (Jack) Jens, Virginia (Tom) Halliwell, Dyana Solheim, and Helene Solheim. She is also survived by her 12 nephews: Richard (Lynn) Solheim, Charles Solheim, Dennis (Melba) Solheim, David (Jean) Solheim, Kenneth Solheim, Keith (Mela) Solheim, Phillip Solheim, Steve Solheim, Geoffrey Solheim, Neal (Patricia) Solheim, and Eric Solheim along with other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be Saturday January 5, 2002 at 12 Noon at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home (237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha) The Reverend James Bickel of Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha will be the officiant. Inurnment will be in Wisconsin Memorial in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at noon. Memorials are appreciated to the charity of the donor's choice.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dolores' dear friend Betty for all of her help.
