Nilda J. (Nina) Holtzman
Nilda J. (Nina) Holtzman, age 54 of Waukesha, died Thursday morning, February 21, 2002, at River Hills Health Care Facility in Pewaukee, Wisconsin from injuries suffered in a traffic accident.

Nilda was born in Holguin, Cuba a daughter of Jose' and Lilia (Nee Hernandez) Rodriguez. She grew up in Cuba and came to America when she was 12. Her family moved first to Miami, Florida and then moved to Chicago, Illinois. On September 27, 1969 she married Daniel Holtzman in Melrose Park, Illinois. The couple then moved to Waukesha. Nilda is a member of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha and the St. Vincent de Paul Jail Ministry. She enjoyed Spanish Culture and her many friends. She was a devoted mother and strong advocate for her children, especially Peter, who has autism. She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers: Manuel and Jose Rodriguez.

Nilda is survived by her husband: Daniel of Waukesha, her 5 children: Yvette (Luke Ardis) Holtzman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Daniel A. (Karla Ihrke) Holtzman of Silver Lake, Wisconsin, Jason (Jenny Pinkowski) Holtzman of West Bend, Wisconsin, Nicholas Holtzman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Peter Holtzman of Waukesha, Wisconsin. Nilda is also survived by her mother: Lilia Rodriguez of Miami, Florida, and her five sisters: Noelia (Henry) Jewett of Miami, Florida, Nancy Stefano of Miami, Florida, Nelsa Rodriguez of Miami, Florida, Norma (Diosdado) Consuegra of Miami, Florida and Nelly (Bob) Free of Orlando, Florida along with other relatives and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Nilda will be Monday February 25, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at St. William's Catholic Church in Waukesha. (440 N. Moreland Blvd.) Father Leonard Barbian will be the celebrant. Following cremation, her cremains will be placed on the island nation where she was born. Friends may call at St. William's Catholic Church on Monday February 25,from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the mass at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed in Nilda's name to the Autism Society of Southeast Wisconsin (9733 W. St. Martins Road Franklin, WI. 53122) or to St. Vincent de Paul (305 East Main Street) Waukesha, WI. 53186).

Paul E. Dunn
Paul E. Dunn, lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Thursday June 14, 2001 at his home at the age of 79.

Paul was born October 28, 1921 in Waukesha a son of the late Daniel and Grace (nee Greb) Dunn. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1940. On July 18, 1945 he married Shirley Seth at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ Church in Waukesha. He proudly served in England in World War II as a Staff Sergeant and Machinist with the 491st Bomb Group attached to the 8th Air Force. Paul began his adult employment in 1940 at Alloy Products Corporation in Waukesha. He started as a machinist and apprenticed and became a tool & die maker. During his 40 years of employment, he also served as the companys tool room foreman and plant superintendent. He retired June 12, 1981 as the Vice President of Manufacturing. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Daniel Dunn, and four (4) sisters: Florence Wiesenthal, Donna Falk, Dorothy Kohler, and Helen Palmer.

Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years Shirley Dunn of Waukesha, his three (3) children: Colleen (James) Hulen of Hartland, Wisconsin, Kathleen (Patrick) Martello of Brookfield, Wisconsin, and Kevin (Mary Jo) Dunn of Brookfield, Wisconsin along with five (5) grandchildren: James and Kerri Hulen, Angela and Courtney Martello, and Grace Dunn. Paul is further survived by his two brothers: Norman (Minnibel) Dunn of Waukesha and Jack Dunn of Safety Harbor, Florida, and his sister: Virginia White of Santa Cruz, California along with other relatives and friends.

Friends may call on Monday June 18, 2001 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. after 4:00 P.M. The funeral service will be at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. The Rev. Dan Schowalter of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ in Waukesha will officiate. Private family burial will be Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Sanchez and his staff for their services and kindness. Pamela L. Gensler
Lifelong Waukesha resident, Pamela L. Gensler, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at the age of 22 years. She was born on August 21, 1979, the daughter of Patrick & Janice (nee Enriquez) Gensler.

Pam graduated from Waukesha North High School where she was on the Tennis Team and National Honors Society. She is going to graduate posthumously Magna Cum Laude this Saturday from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with an education degree. Pam was going to teach pre kindergarten to 6th grade. At Whitewater, she was inducted into the National Golded Key Honors Society.

Pam is the beloved daughter of Patrick and Janice Gensler of Waukesha. She is the dear sister of Paul Gensler of Waukesha and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Leona Gensler of Brookfield. She is the niece of her godmother Trudi (Mac) McKinley, Donna (Herb) Weiss, Nancy (Tim) Squire, Jon (Faye) Enriquez, Michael (Joanne) Gensler, Sandra (David) Wick, Eric Gensler, her godfather Peter (Jane) Gensler, Timothy (Mary) Gensler, Christopher (Cheryl) Gensler, James (Marsha) Gensler, Jill Gardner and Donald Schilling. Also suriviving are cousins, other relatives and many friends. Pam was preceded in death by her aunt Sharon Schilling and her grandparents Irene & John Enriquez and James Gensler.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 20, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Fr. Del Klink will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home from 2 to 6 p.m. and on Monday at Wisconsin Memorial Park from 1:30 p.m. until time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Pam's name for children at a later date. Paul J. Gretzinger
Paul J. Gretzinger, age 41 of West Allis, Wisconsin died Sunday November 25, 2001 at his home.

Paul was born June 30, 1960 in Milwaukee to William W. and Nancy (nee Braem) Gretzinger. He attended Elm Grove Lutheran School in Elm Grove, and Graduated from Waukesha North High School in 1978. While at North, Paul was a member of the North Gymnastic Team and was the State Pommel Horse Champion in 1978. He was the first athlete to be named an All American at Waukesha North High School. After graduation, he attended the University of Oshkosh and was on the UW Oshkosh Gymnastic Team. He achieved many National Awards in gymnastics while at the University of Oshkosh and graduated with a BS. In Nursing and then became a registered nurse in 1983. He was currently working on his master’s degree at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. Paul had worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital for seven years before going to Franciscan Woods Health Care Center in Brookfield in 1993. Paul is a National Certified Rehabilitation Nurse and is a member of the American Rehab Nurses Association. He is a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Paul was a computer enthusiast and loved to garden, bowl, down hill ski, and enjoyed arts and crafts. He cherished his time with his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: John and Matilda Gretzinger and his maternal grandfather: Paul Braem.

Paul is survived by his parents: Willam and Nancy Gretzinger of Waukesha, his brother: Mark (Cheryl) Gretzinger of Sussex, Wisconsin, his two sisters: Brenda Cooper of Waukesha and Denise (David) Schmitz of Waukesha, his maternal grandmother: Mabel Braem of Tigerton, Wisconsin, along with his seven nieces and nephews: Amanda, Alexis, Jacob, Jennifer, Emily, Joshua, and Michael. He is also survived by his Aunt: Sue (Tom) Stoll of Reno, Nevada and his Aunt and Godmother: Karen Hanousek of Youngstown, Ohio along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Paul will be Friday November 30, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home (237 N. Moreland Blvd) in Waukesha. The Rev. Peter Schmidt of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church will be the officiant. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. Friends may call on Thursday November 29, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home and friends may also call on Friday November 30, 2001 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed in Paul’s name to his family for multiple entities.

Paul F. Kopshinsky
Lifelong resident of Waukesha, Paul F. Kopshinsky, born January 8, 1936 in Waukesha, WI the son of William and Adelia (nee Tessman) Kopshinsky, died on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at Woodland Health Care Center at the age of 66 years.

He was a lifelong member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. He proudly served as a veteran in the U.S. Army. He was a construction worker for H. Fuller & Son for over 30 years and in his retirement he was a custodian for the Waukesha School System at the Central Middle School. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Billy “Boycie”, father-in-law, Sherman P. Olson and brother-in-law, Dale Olson.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Connie, whom he married on August 9, 1958 in Waukesha, his children; Jeri (Rick) Sass of Waukesha, Jim (Colleen) Kopshinsky and Lori (Mike) Boehmke of Waukesha, his grandchildren; Justin, Ryan, James “Jake” and Zach, his mother-in-law, Fanny Olson his sister, Dorothy (Ken) Fuller of Waukesha, his brothers; Charles (Shirley) Kopshinsky, Oscar (Elvira) Kopshinsky and Ted (Judy) Kopshinsky all of Waukesha, brother-in-law, Sherman (Marilyn) Olson, sister-in-law, Sandy Olson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His treats will be missed by Bailey and Duke. Paul’s family would also like to give a special thanks to Dr. Timothy McAvoy and caregiver, Marcia Channer and Odyssey Healthcare Hospice.

Funeral services for Paul will be Friday, May 24, 2002 at the Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 1052 Whiterock Ave., at 7:00 pm. Pastor Scott Oelhafen will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Entombment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at 10:00 am. Meet at the cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society.

Peter W. La Fratta
Life long Waukesha resident, Peter W. La Fratta, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 27, 2001 at his home at the age of 50 years. He was born on January 9, 1951, the son of Peter A. & Jean V. (nee Marcini) La Fratta.

Peter is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waukesha where he was an altar boy for many years. He graduated from St. Mary's grade school and Catholic Memorial High School. He attended Milwaukee Area Technical School as an auto mechanic. Peter was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany during the Vietnam War. For 16 years he worked as a fleet maintenance man for the Waukesha County Highway Department. Peter loved racing cars at the Union Grove Race Track.

Peter is survived by Joyce La Fratta Scott of Cudahy. He is the dear father of Jeffrey and Jason La Fratta, both of Waukesha. He will be missed by his parents Peter A. and Jean (nee Marcini) La Fratta of Waukesha and his dear friends Frank & Jeanne Vincze of Waukesha. Also surviving are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday May 30, 2001, 2001 at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., in Waukesha. Fr. Gordon Weber and Fr. Robert Enders will celebrate Mass. Friends may call at church on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be Thursday May 31, 2001 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery. Masses would be appreciated.

Raymond H. (Moose) Barbian
Raymond H. (Moose) Barbian, of Milwaukee, formerly of Winter, WI, died Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at Clement Manor Health Care Center at the age of 77 years.

He is the dear brother of Norbert (Verna) Barbian of West Allis, Clifford (Pat) Barbian of Waterford, Wilfred (Pat) Barbian of Franklin, WI., Joseph (Joyce) Barbian of Hot Springs Village, AK., and Fr. Leonard Barbian of Waukesha. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and will be sadly missed by his friends in Winter, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred & Anna Barbian and his sister Mary Ann.

Raymond was the co-owner of Butts & Moose Tavern in Milwaukee. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in World War II and was a charter member of the Krejci Braun Meier V.F.W. Post #7485.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 2, 2002 at 11 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 444 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Fr. Leonard Barbian will celebrate the Mass. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.

Ray's family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff of the green unit at Clement Manor for their compassionate care given to Raymond. Memorials to Clement Manor would be appreciated.

Robert E. Betker
Robert E. Betker, of Waukesha, born on December 21, 1924 in Waukesha, the son of Edward and Marcella (nee Baltes) Betker, died on Monday, April 29, 2002 at home at the age of 77 years. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

He will be sadly missed by his sister, Eileen (William) Kanters of Waukesha and his brothers; James Betker of West Allis and Gerald (Rosa) Betker of Clermont, Florida, 6 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews, 1 great great niece, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Mass for Robert will be Friday, May 3, 2002 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to St. Joseph's Catholic Church would be appreciated.

Richard G. Brazelton
Richard G. Brazelton of Milwaukee died on Sunday, February 3, 2002 at St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee at the age of 63 years. He was born on November 20, 1938 in Waukesha, the son of Gilbert and Lorraine (nee Kuhr) Brazelton.

Richard is the dear father of Cathy, Margie, Tracy Brazelton, Tammy, Richard and Matthew Brazelton. He is the brother of Eugene (Judy) Brazelton of Delafield, Thomas Brazelton and Michael (Judy) Brazelton, both of Waukesha. He is also survived by grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughters Cindy and Christine.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 7, 2002 at l:30 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Captain Dale Hunt will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from ll:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery.

Roy E. Cairns
Roy E. Cairns, age 94 of Waukesha, died Wednesday September 12, 2001 at Linden Grove Health Care Center in Waukesha.

Roy was born January 16, 1907 in Orr, North Dakota, a son of the late Robert and Annie (nee Bagstad) Cairns. He graduated from high School and then attended Chicago Technical College. On August 17, 1931 he married Mary K. King. She preceded him in death on May 25, 1995. He came to Waukesha and worked at Waukesha Foundry, retiring as Vice-President of Sales in 1967. In 1968, he purchased the Gascoigne Company in Waukesha. He is currently the Chairman of the Board at the company. Roy is a past member of the Waukesha Jaycees and St. Mathias Episcopal Church in Waukesha. Roy served on the Waukesha School Board for many years and was the Board President for the last part of his tenure. He also was on the Board of Directors of the Marine Bank when they opened in Waukesha. Roy was a member and former National President of the Food and Dairy Supply Association. He is a Life Member and Past President of the Waukesha Noon Kiwanis and also a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Dousman, Wisconsin. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Mary K. Cairns, his brothers and sisters: Palmer Madson, Juel Madson, Geneva Babbage, Alvin Madson, Melborne Cairns, Leo Cairns, and Obert Cairns.

Roy is survived by his two children: Allan (Barbara) Cairns of Brookfield, Wisconsin and Lynn Croton of Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York. He is also survived by five (5) Grandchildren: Carrie Croton of Yonkers, New York, Christopher (Antje) Croton of Brooklyn, New York, Kevan Croton of Brooklyn, New York, Douglas (Maria) Cairns of Durham, North Carolina, and Andrew (Karin) Cairns of Richfield, Wisconsin. Roy also has four (4) great-grandchildren: David, John, Jack, and Luke, his brother Russell (Edna) Cairns of Minot, North Dakota, along with many other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank all the people who took such loving care of Roy during his life and final illness. They especially thank Dr. Berman, the Fifth Floor Nursing Staff at Waukesha Memorial, Linden Grove, and most especially Shelly, Diane, Sue, and Lorraine who provided his care while he lived at home.

A memorial service for Roy will be held Monday, October 8, 2001 at 7 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home in Waukesha. Friends may call on October 8th from 5 p.m. until time of service. Following cremation, Roy will be buried beside his wife in North Dakota. Memorials may be directed in Roy's name to St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Dousman (36014 Sunset Drive Dousman, WI.53118) or to a charity of the donor's choice.
