CUNNINGHAM, GENEVIEVE

E. Genevieve "Granny" Cunningham, 73, of Parkersburg, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999, at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Creston, the daughter of the late Harry and Doris Smith Shrader. She was a homemaker and an Apostolic. Surviving are her husband, Russell Cunningham; three sons, Gary Duane Cunningham of Elizabeth, Dannie Lloyd Cunningham of Belleville and Willard Blaine Cunningham of Parkersburg; three sisters, Jeraldine Hall of Parkersburg, Leola Fazenbaker of Morgantown and Mildred Smith of Brooksville; one half-sister, Jessy Johnson of Morgantown; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, William Roger Cunningham; four brothers; two half-brothers; two sisters; and five half-sisters. Services were scheduled Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Seebaugh offi-ciating, and burial in Sunset Memory Gardens, Garden of Christus.

CUNNINGHAM, JUNIOR EUGENE

Junior Eugene Cunningham, 71, of Parkersburg, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at his residence. He was born in Wirt County, the son of the late Noah and Martha Boice Cunningham. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Mountain State Steel as a millwright. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are three sons, Gary Cunningham and Danny Cunningham, both of Parkersburg, and Glen Cunningham of Youngstown, Ohio; five grandchildren; one brother, Frank Cunningham of Calhoun County; and one sister, Virginia Snyder of Parkersburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Cunningham, and one brother, Alvie Cunningham. Services were held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, with Pastor Delton Smith officiating. Burial was in Evergreen South cemetery.

CUNNINGHAM, ROY

Roy Cunningham, 95, of Lockney, Gilmer County, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 1999, at Broaddus Hospital, Philippi, following a long illness. He was born in Gilmer County, the son of the late W.C. and Martha Jane Frame Cunningham. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Normantown. Surviving are six sons, Charles Edward Cunningham of White Oak, Tex., Denzil Cunningham of Stumptown, Phares Cun-ningham of Medina, Ohio, Royce Cunningham of Spartansburg, S.C., Farrell Cunningham of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Darrell Cunningham of Lockney; five daughters, Orpha Skinner of Columbus, Ohio, Norma Batten of Columbia, Mo., Clarice Cunningham and Jean Cunningham, both of Grantsville, and Fonda Bartoe of Nova Scotia; 26 grandchildren; and 30 great-grand- children. Services were scheduled Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Normantown, with Elder Charles Fisher officiating, and burial in Crooked Fork Baptist Church cemetery.

CURRY, MANSFIELD

Mansfield Neely Curry, 68, of Grantsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at Braxton Health Care Center, Flatwoods. He was a son of the late Charles A. and Sarah Ellen Kelly Curry. Surviving are his special friend, Ethel Simmons of Tanner; one daughter, Virginia Ellen Curry of Holts Run; one brother, Harry Curry of Mt. Zion; two sisters, Ida Calhoun of White Pine and Virginia McCartney of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Alfred B. Curry, Charles Curry, Bernard Curry, Ellis Curry and two infant brothers, and two sisters, Louise Kight and Mary Cain. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial was in Nobe cemetery.

DAVIS, BENJAMIN

Benjamin R. Davis, 77, of Newton Falls, Ohio, formerly of Calhoun County, died Tuesday, Apr. 6, 1999, in Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Warren, Ohio. He was born in Tunnelton, Preston County, the son of the late Charles and Anna L. Ayersman Davis. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from Standard Transformer Co., Warren, Ohio. He was a member of Five Forks Community Church. Surviving are three sons, Milford Davis of Winterville, N.C., and Ben and Tim Davis, both of Warren; three daughters, Barbara Mays of Braceville, Ohio, with whom he made his home, and Bev Orwig and Betsy Clearwater, both of Warren; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emogene Burrows Davis; five sisters; four brothers; and one granddaughter. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

DAWSON, JESSIE

Jessie E. "Gene" Dawson, 67, of Euclid, Ohio, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at Euclid General Hospital. He was born in Grantsville, the son of Della Morehead Dawson of Big Springs and the late Cecil Dawson. He was retired from a steel mill in Orrville, Ohio. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Patty Hathaway Dawson; four sons, Steve, Ronnie, James and Patrick, all of Cleveland, Ohio; one daughter, Donna Hejduk of Cleveland; four brothers, Jack and Larry Dawson, both of Grantsville, and Sam and Lanny Dawson, both of Cleveland; two sisters, Georgia Smith of Cleveland and Delores "Boots" Richards of Big Springs; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Janice "Sally" Whipkey. Services were held at Brickman & Son Funeral Home, Euclid, with Rev. Charles Shaffer and Rev. Freddy Ray officiating. Burial was in All Soul cemetery.

DAWSON, ROXIE

Roxie Dawson, 92, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at Memorial Hospital, Tampa, Fla. She was born in Freed, the daughter of the late Manley Sanford Collins and Leora Caroline Morris Collins Vincent. She was a homemaker. Surviving are one daughter, Joretta Richter of Tampa; one brother, Rev. Manley O. Collins of Freed; two grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roy Dawson, in 1995; one grandchild, Robert Butcher of Warren, Ohio; three sisters, Oda Cornell of Clarksburg, Dosha Freed of Freed and Osa Richards of Parkersburg; and two brothers, Cline Collins of Freed and Carl Collins of Vienna, Ohio. Graveside services were held at Curlew Lawn cemetery.

DEULEY, LEONA

Leona Deuley, 55, of Mt. Zion, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, at her residence. She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of Willodene Summers Cunningham of Mt. Zion and the late Forrest Stemple. She was an operating room technologist at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, for eight years and at Calhoun General Hospital, Grantsville, for 20 years. She was a member of Surgical Tech-nologists Association, Minnie Hamilton Health Care Auxiliary, and First Baptist Church, Grantsville. Surviving are her husband, Gerald Deuley; one son, Robert Deuley of Elizabeth; three daughters, Vicki Remple of Parkers-burg, Debbie Massey of Ft. Bragg, N.C., and Michelle Santos of Tampa, Fla.; five sisters, Helen Johnson of Grantsville, Betty Deuley and Jeanie Whipkey, both of Mt. Zion, Bonnie Johnson of Arnoldsburg and Joann Lawson of Sutton; two brothers, Marvin Stemple of Arnoldsburg and Calvin Cunningham of Cleveland, Ohio; mother and step-father, Willodene and Lester Cunningham of Mt. Zion; and 10 grandchildren. Services were scheduled Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Robert Nicholas officiating, and burial in St. Paul cemetery, near Grantsville.

DeVAUGHN, RUBY

Ruby E. DeVaughn, 66, of Sandyville, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at her residence. She was born in Elizabeth, the daughter of the late Luther and Eva Barton Wigal. She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Windy Ridge, where she had been a song leader and pianist. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Charles DeVaughn; three sons, Charles Allan DeVaughn and Denver Lee DeVaughn, both of Palestine, and Michael DeVaughn of Sandyville; two daughters, Sharon Showalter of Elizabeth and Pamela Anderson of Sandyville; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Silvia Atkinson of Mt. Zion, Dorothy Holbert of Sandyville and JoAnn Schultz of Orlando, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Donald DeVaughn; one daughter, Sandra K. DeVaughn; and three brothers. Services were held at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, with Rev. John Price officiating. Burial was in Big Tygart cemetery.

DeWEESE, JOY STALNAKER

Joy Stalnaker DeWeese, 64, of Spencer, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at the home of her son. She was born in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Elber and Icy Jarvis Spencer. She was a homemaker and an 18-year employee of Kellwood Corp., Spencer. She was a former employee of G.C. Murphy Co., Parkersburg, and was a member of Spencer Baptist Temple, Spencer. Surviving are her husband, Bobby DeWeese of Spencer; one son, Michael E. Stalnaker of Vienna; one daughter, Cheryl D. Stalnaker of Spencer; four sisters, Justine Harris, Dormal Coe Rhodes and Wanda E. Nutter, all of Spencer, and Dorlene S. Walker of Ravenswood; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Chenoweth A. Stalnaker. Services were held in Spencer Baptist Temple, with Rev. Richard W. "Rick" Perrine and Rev. Kevin E. Randolph officiating. Burial was in Sycamore Baptist Church cemetery, Mt. Zion.

DILLEY, GEORGIA

Georgia M. Dilley, 69, of Spencer, died Wednesday, Mar. 10, 1999, at her residence. Surviving are two daughters, Rosalie Ann Mace of Leather-bark and Mandy Ellen Deel of Hartville, Ohio; one son, Edwin Dilley of Arnoldsburg; eight grandchildren; two step-grand-children; three great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grand-children. Services were held at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial was in Eventide cemetery.

DOBBINS, ARNOLD

Arnold J. Dobbins, 67, of Egypt Ridge, Spencer, died Satur-day, Dec. 4, 1999, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late Arnold and Lydia Bailey Dobbins. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Webb Dobbins; six sons, Terry Dobbins and Rodney Dobbins, both of Wilson, N.C., Steve Dobbins and Jeffrey Dobbins, both of Orma, Mitchel Dobbins of Mt. Zion and Arnold Dobbins of Spencer; three daughters, Debbie Parsons of Orma and Diane Dobbins and Kimberly Dobbins, both of Spencer; three step-sons, Fred Webb, Burley Webb and Criss Webb, all of Spencer; one brother, Stanley Dobbins of Medina, Ohio; three sisters, Bernice Sampson and Eleanor June Dobbins, both of Parkersburg, and Betty Hopkins of Big Bend; 19 grand-children; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three daughters, Sherry Ann Nichols, Katheryn E. Dobbins and Angela K. Dobbins. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, with Rev. Allen Smith officiating. Burial was in Short cemetery, Spencer.
