Shannon, Mr. Len B., age 94, of Birmingham, passed away on November 28, 1999. He was a member of Ensley First United Methodist Church for 60 years and a current member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was retired from U.S. Steel after 43 years of service. The family suggests memorials be given to Trinity United Methodist Church or Alabama Teen Challenge, P.O. Box 146, Sylacauga, AL 35150. Survivors: his son and daughter-in-law, Len B., Jr. and Jeneal Shannon; and his grandchildren, Len B. Shannon, III and Neal Edward Shannon. The family will receive friends at Angwin Mortuary Center's Birmingham Chapel -- 3500 Avenue I, Ensley, Birmingham, AL 35218, on Wednesday, December 1, 1999, between 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 1, 1999, at 1:30 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery. Reverends Andrew Wolfe and James Bailey officiating. Angwin Mortuary Center directing.

Scott, Gladys Elizabeth, age 92, of Birmingham, died February 14, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas D. Scott. She was an active member of Roebuck Christian Church. She was a longtime member of the Extension Homemakers Club of Jefferson County. Graveside service will be Tuesday, February 16, at 2 p.m. at Forest Crest Cemetery. Rev. Eric Hayward officiating. Memorials to Roebuck Christian Church. Roebuck Chapel directing.

White, Infant Dreiana, 3 months old, of Bessemer, died February 12, 1999. Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 17, at 2 p.m. at Shadow Lawn Cemetery. Survivors: mother, Stacey White; father, Terrance White; twin sister, Breiana White, sister, Tierra White; grandparents, Ann Youngblood, Alfred Youngblood, and Gladys Morgan. Bushelon Funeral Home directing.

Klie, Annis, born in Forkland, Alabama, finished high school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and graduated from the University of Alabama. She taught high school in Pine Bluff for several years before beginning a long and distinguished career with the Girl Scouts of America in Monroe, La. Among her achievements with the Girl Scouts was the establishment of a camp where the activity trail is now named in her honor. She was a faithful member of Grace Episcopal Church in Monroe, La. Miss Klie spent her later years in Birmingham, Alabama. She is survived by a sister, Lu Klie Yeilding of Birmingham, AL; nieces, Lu Yeilding Downey of Huntsville, Sue Klie Ryall of Yorktown, AR, Bee Yeilding McNeil of Atlanta, Ga., Elizabeth Anita Klie of Birmingham; and nephews, Larry West Klie and William David Klie, both of Birmingham. Services will be held at Trinity Church, Pine Bluff, AR. Ridout's Valley Chapel directing.

Metcalf, Billie Ann, age 91, a resident of Wetumpka, died Saturday, February 13, 1999. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 16, at 11 a.m. from Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Richard Holmes officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

Caudle, Infant Ferrell Brynleigh, 2 and 1/2 months old, of Chelsea died November 27, 1999. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 2, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 1, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Survivors: parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Caudle of Chelsea; grandparents, Mr . and Mrs. Charles F. Caudle of Center Point, Mr. and Mrs. Paul McCracken of Birmingham, Anita McCracken of Pelham, Mrs. Jennifer Clark of Hot Springs, Ark.; great-grandmother, Mrs. Glenn McCracken of Hoover; three uncles and one aunt. Roebuck Chapel directing.

Parham, John Edward, of Southfield, Michigan, died Wednesday, February 10, 1999. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 16, at 1:00 p.m. at Poole Chapel with burial in new Grace Hill Cemetery. Poole Funeral Chapel directing.

Gallagher, Richard "Dick", age 73, of Birmingham, died February 15, 1999. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps 6th Division during World War II and was retired from Baker and Sons Dairy. Survivors: son, Ric (Dory) Gallagher of Tampa, Fla.; daughter, Bernadine (Richard) Stignani of Vestavia Hills; grandchildren, Derek, Brian and Gary; great-grandchild, Alana; and his loving friend, Mary Folsom. Memorial services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout's Roebuck Chapel, 205-833- 7171, is directing.

Buchanan, Wendy Smith, 26, of Gardendale, died Mach 17, 1999. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 20, 10:00 a.m. at Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Doug Wyatt officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 19, 6-8 p.m. at Gardendale Chapel . Survivors: son, Joseph Allen Buchanan; mother, Rebecca Smith; sisters, Stacey Marie Fuller; brother, Kyle Allen; grandparents, Wesley A. Smith (Lou), and Lawrence C. Sims (Violet), Irene Gay; nieces Kelcey; nephews, Zachery and Wesley. She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Smith. Oakwood Gardendale Chapel directing.

Witt, Archie Hanna, III, age 60, of Birmingham, died the second week of June 1999. He is survived by his children, Mary Susan Witt Hosier, Camille Witt and Archie Witt IV; one grandchild, Somerville Emily Hosier and his mother, Susan Wood Witt. Private family services were held. Memorials may be made to the Birmingham Humane Society.

Henderson, Madge Craig, age 85, of Birmingham, passed away Friday, June 18, 1999. She was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and retired Accountant for Dr. John Carmichael. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Mon day, June 21, 1999 at Angwin Mortuary Center's Birmingham Chapel with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Buddy Gray officiating. Visitation at the funeral home Monday from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Survivors include her husband, James Thomas Henderson; son, David Thomas Henderson and wife, Marsha of Pinson; grandchildren, Noah and Rynnie Henderson; brother, Dick Looney Craig of Helena; number of nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be given to the Annie Armstrong and the Lottie Moon Missionary Funds at Hunter Baptist Church. Angwin Mortuary Center Birmingham Chapel directing.

Horst, Robert William (BILL), age 48, of Trussville, died June 17, 1999. He was a member of the Woodlawn United Methodist Church, and was Vice-President of Martin & Sons Wholesale Florist. He was a Former Deputy Sheriff for Jefferson County. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School, and attended Auburn University. Mr. Horst was preceded in death by his father, Martin F. Horst. Graveside service Mon day, June 21, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation Sunday evening from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Survivors: two sons, Robert William "Will" (Schranda) Horst, II, and Martin C. Horst; two grandchildren, Haley Broom and Robert William Horst, III; mother, Martha Carter Horst; four brothers, Arthur Horst of Louisiana, Harry Horst of California, Fred Horst of Florida, and Martin Ray Horst of Birmingham; three sisters, Linda (Randall) Wade of Cullman, Jeannie (Charles) Lockard of Hoover, and Donna (Charles) Busby of Birmingham; numerous nieces and nephews. Roebuck East Chapel directing.

Gerick, Mrs. Elizabeth Abercrombie, age 84, of Birmingham, died Thursday, June 17, 1999. A member of Central Park United Methodist Church, the Benny Kelley Sunday School Class and senior Citizens Group of Central Park United Methodist Church, she was also a member of United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her husband, M. John Gerick, Jr. Graveside service Monday, June 21, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Jim White officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Survivors: two sons, Joseph A. Gerick (Ann) of Newburg, Oregon and Gordon J. Gerick (Linda) of Monroeville, AL; four grandchildren, Charles Gerick (Lori) of San Diego, CA; M. John Gerick III (Heather) of Tuscaloosa; Adrienne Gerick and Matthew Gerick, both of Newburg, OR; two great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Brenton Gerick of San Diego, CA. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Senior Citizen's Group at Central Park United Methodist Church. Elmwood Chapel directing.
