Stewart, Ga.; stepdaughters, Ms. Reronsa White, Mrs. Jacqueline (Charles) Tolley and Miss Christie Mason, all of Birmingham; son, Mr. Marvin (Shirley) Jones of Birmingham; stepfather, Mr. Allen Brown of Pensacola, Fla.; sisters, Mrs. Mary Lee Brown of Newark, NJ and Mrs. Rachel Fields of Pensacola, Fla.; brother, Mr. Joe Davenport of Cincinnati, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Garrett, Daniel P. Jr., age 66, of Springville, AL, died Wednesday, December 22, 1999. He was a member of Springville First Baptist Church, AICPA, and Alabama Society of CPA's. Visitation will be Monday, December 27, from 1-2 p.m., and funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m., at Jefferson Memorial Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gar dens East. Rev. Brooken Campbell, officiating. Survivors: wife, Dorothy Gregg Garrett; daughter, Manya Lee, both of Springville, AL; son, Daniel Gregg Garrett of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandchildren, Jennifer Melvin, and Eric Lee; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Melvin, and Christy Melvin; numerous cousin and friends. Holt, Louise, age 88, of Birmingham, died December 23, 1999. She was a longtime m ember of Ruffner Valley Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Fur man H. Holt. Graveside service will be Friday, December 24, at 3 p.m. at Bass Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Survivors: niece, Frances Cole Knight; and other nieces and nephews. Ridout's Trussville Chapel directing.

Cannon, Harold L., age 62 of Birmingham, AL died Sun day, December 19, 1999. He was employed at Marks Forest Products Co. Harold's spiritual presence has ministered to many people over the course of his life and will continue to be felt by all who knew him. His immeasurable love for his wife, children, and family has proved greater than his life could show. He whole-heartedly supported Glen and Dorothy Wied's mission to Mexico. Mr. Cannon is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara L. (Spurlin) Cannon; sons, Dennis L. Cannon and Thomas L. Cannon; daughter, Maria Cannon Harbin, son-in-law, Brian L. Harbin; grandsons, Conner Lee Harbin and Trevor Luke Harold Harbin; sisters, Mary Tyus of Millbrook, AL and Glenda Singleton of Tuscaloosa; numerous favorite nieces and nephews, and many close spiritual friends. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 22, 1999 at Noon graveside at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. A Praise-and-Worship Service will follow at a location to be announced. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Brown Service West. Peterson, Lelia T., age 98, of Birmingham, died December 21, 1999. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 27, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Twenty-third Street Baptist Church. Burial will be at G.W. Carver. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Bushelon Funeral Home 786-3449 directing.

Sellers, Florence Hutcherson, age 72, of Birmingham, died February 19, 2000. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 26, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church with burial at Zion Memorial Gardens. Survivors: daughter, Barbara Sellers (Eugene) Thompson; sisters, Ruth Polke, Elease Walker, both of Pittsburgh, Pa.; sister-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews. Bushelon Funeral Home directing.

Harrell, Don Lee, Sr., age 82, of Bessemer, Alabama, died December 22, 1999. He was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church of Bessemer. He served in the Philippines during WW II with the U. S. Army. Chapel service will be Friday, December 24th at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Crantford Hicks officiating. Burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Survivors: son, D on Harrell, Jr. (Carolyn) of Vestavia, Ala.; daughter, Irene Woodham (Woody) of Montgomery, Ala.; brother, Horace Harrell of Jemison, Ala.; grandchildren, Lance Woodham, Wesley Woodham, and Monte Morris. Moss, William Solomon "Paw", age 73, of Birmingham died Wednesday, December 15, 1999. He was retired from United States Steel after 30 years of service as a Burner/Laborer. He was a member of Roosevelt City Church of Christ. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed this sport whenever he was afforded the opportunity. He also enjoyed baby-sitting his grandchildren as well as other children that knew him. He was a Veteran U.S. Navy (Honorable Discharge). Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 1999 at 12:00 noon at Bush Hills Church of Christ. Burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery with Peter A. Moss I officiating. He was preceded in death by mother, Pauline Houser Moss and father, John Henry Moss. Survivors: wife, Pauline Cannon Moss; daughter, Sandra Gayle Moss; sons, William S. Moss, Jr., Curtis Moss (Cynthia), Peter A. Moss I (Mary), Michael R. Moss, Jason Moss I (Stephanie), Brian Moss; sister, Effie Woolf (Detroit, MI); brother, Larry Moss (Detroit, MI); brother-in-law, Robert L. Cannon (Saginaw, MI); eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five nieces, two nephews, numerous cousins, ans a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 1999 at 10:00 am at the Jefferson Memorial Chapel in Trussville. Burial will be at Forest Crest with Dr. Todd Henderson officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 21, 1999 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Survivors: parents, Linda and Edgar Bearden; brother, Blake Bearden; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar T. Pittman, Lelton, H., age 74, of Gardendale, died Tuesday, February 16, 1999. He was a retired Publisher's Rep. with Grolier Publishing Company; member of Beechwood Baptist Church and previously was a longtime member of Green Acres Baptist Church; a Bronze Star Veteran of WWII. Funeral services will be Friday, February 19, at Noon at Oakwood Memorial Gardendale Chapel with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Crane Hill. Rev. Jeff Griffith and Rev. Ralph Clark officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gardendale Chapel. Lovell, Mr. Ernest M., age 77, of Moody, died December 18, 1999. He was a WWII veteran, retired from Bynum and a member of the Baptist Faith. Graveside services will be Monday, December 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Branchville Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include three daughters; one son; two sisters, Elsie Lovell Kelly and Janie Brown; two brothers, Dewey and Frank Lovell; several grandchildren. Mr. Lovell was preceded in death by his parents: Herschel and Eva Martin Lovell; and two brothers, Grady and Herschell Jr. Lovell. Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds is directing.
