Paul Lincoln Keen

PARAGOULD -- Paul Lincoln Keen, 83, of Paragould died Saturday, Aug. 27, at his residence.

Born at Senath, Mo., he was a member of Griffin Memorial United Methodist Church since 1955. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the First Expeditionary Force.

Survivors include his wife, Hildred Oleta Keen; a son, Tim Keen of St. Louis; three half-sisters; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

No funeral services are planned. The body will be cremated. Heath Funeral Home of Paragould is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Griffin Memorial Pantry Fund, 524 East Court St., P.O. Box 343, Paragould.

Mary Elizabeth Pereszlay

BLYTHEVILLE -- Mary Elizabeth Revesz Pereszlay, 66, of Blytheville died Saturday, Aug. 27, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born at Petersburg, Mich., she had worked at Beverly Health Care Nursing Home for 18 years and was a people greeter at Wal-Mart. She was an active Girl Scout leader, PTA member and of Protestant belief.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Pereszlay of the home; three sons, John Pereszlay of Blytheville, James Pereszlay of Toledo, Ohio, and William Pereszlay of Miami Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Sandy Green of Gosnell; a brother, Albert Revesz Jr. of Toledo; three grandchildren, Amanda Thompson and Tiffany Green, both of Gosnell, and Brian Pereszlay of Toledo; and four stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Beres Revesz.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville, with the Rev. Charles Warman officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.

Virginia Louise Plunk

MARKED TREE -- Virginia Louise Plunk, 76, of Marked Tree died Friday, Aug. 26, at Marked Tree.

Born at Black Oak, she was a retired factory sewing worker and a member of Marked Tree Church of God.

Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Coats of Poughkeepsie, Patricia Bromley of Marked Tree and Cheryl Evans of Rivervale; two sons, Larry Plunk and Robert Plunk, both of Marked Tree; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Plunk; and her parents, Jesse and Nola Penter.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Marked Tree Church of God, with the Rev. Patrick Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Caraway Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home of Tyronza is in charge of arrangements.

William "Bill" Reiman

WALDENBURG -- William James "Bill" Reiman, 74, of Waldenburg died Sunday, Aug. 29, at his residence in Waldenburg.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

David Anthony Roddy

JONESBORO -- David Anthony Roddy, 37, of Jonesboro died Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. Bernard's Medical Center.

Born at Jonesboro, he was a lifelong resident. He was a farm surveyor, worked in land leveling and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include four daughters, Maegan Roddy and Madison Roddy, both of Jonesboro, and Gabbie Roddy and Morgan Davis of the home; his parents, Louise and Bill Roddy of Jonesboro; a brother, Joe Roddy of Jonesboro; his grandparents, Louise and Bill Roddy of Jonesboro and L.K. Holt of Manila; and his fiancé, Amy Davis.

He was preceded in death by a sister and his grandparents, Grace Holt and Walter J. and Bonnie Roddy.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gregg Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harold Ray, the Rev. Stan Ballard and the Rev. Hiawatha Riley officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Steve Wright, Eddie Wright, Sean Davis, Brian Seal, Sean Haff, Brian Fletcher, Dusty Crowe and Randy Davis.

Cousins will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ronald Wayne Timmons

HARDY -- Ronald Wayne Timmons, 58, of Hardy, formerly of Rockford, Ill., and Portage, Wis., died Sunday, Aug. 28, at his residence.

Born at Rockford, he was formerly employed as a welder for Artzen Fabricator of Rockford and was a member of American Legion Post No. 335 of Hardy.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Bangs Timmons of the home; four sons, Joel Simmons of South Carolina, John Timmons of Rockford, Ron Timmons of New Orleans and Ron Robbery of Rockford; a daughter, Valerie Bevens of North Dakota; six stepsons, Donald Powell and George Powell, both of Dell, Wis., Kellie Powell of Adams County, Wis., and Alfred Powell, Harland Crawford and James Crawford, all of Lexington, Ky.; his mother, Betty Peck Timmons; two sisters, Sharon Peterson of Williford and Gail Backes of Wisconsin; a brother, James Timmons of Florida; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Higginbotham Funeral Service of hardy, with James Timmons officiating.

Pallbearers will be Royal Backes, Ron Timmons, Scott Donner, Scott Peterson, Ricky Peterson, Joel Timmons and John Timmons.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Higginbotham Funeral Home.

Reukauf Tinker

HOXIE-- Graveside services for Reukauf Tinker, 85, of Hoxie, who died Saturday, Aug. 27, at St. Bernard's Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. today in Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery.

Darrell Douglas will officiate. House Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

He had lived at Hoxie for 50 years. He was a retired farmer who attended Hoxie Church of Christ, was a former police commissioner at Hoxie and was a city councilman for 14 years.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Duncan Tinker of the home; a daughter, Mitzi Gulley of Jonesboro; a son, Lanny Tinker of Hoxie; a brother, Duel Tinker of Hoxie; three grandchildren, Melanie Volner and Lindsey Davis, both of Jonesboro, and Laura Prondzinski of Hoxie; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Gracie Laura Peters Tinker; and a sister.

Glenda Sue Wilks

KENSETT -- Glenda Sue Allwhite Wilks, 56, of Kensett died Saturday, Aug. 27, at Searcy.

Born at Homestead, Fla., she was a cashier at Allison's Convenience Store until her retirement. She was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include a son, Timothy Mark Looney of El Dorado; a daughter, Tammy Wills of Searcy; her mother, Dorothy George Allwhite of Newark; a brother, Lonnie Gene Allwhite of Newark; and two sisters, Barbara Bailey of Newark and Carolyn Geraldo of Chesterfield, Va.

She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Poe Allwhite.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Blue Springs Cemetery. Jackson's Funeral Home of Newark is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Sarah Boyd

POUGHKEEPSIE -- Sarah Ann Medlock Boyd, 54, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, Sept. 10, at her residence.

Born at Batesville, she was a homemaker and a member of Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church at Nelsonville.

Survivors include her husband, Winston D. Boyd of the home, two daughters, Sarah Annette Bailey of Greenbriar and Jannie Ann Reed of Cave City; a brother, Johnny Lee Medlock of Trumann; a sister, Katherin Shann Collins of Trumann; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Winston Donald Boyd; and her parents, Muriel Garrsion and Ida May Shirley Medlock.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City, with Randall Moody officiating. Burial will be at Spotts Cemetery in Poughkeepsie. Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Robin Medlock, Bernice Medlock, Billy Boyd, Steven Boyd, Kenny Boyd and Dale Boyd.

Honorary pallbearers will include Dale King and Junior Collins.

Hayden Dewitt Jr.

BLACK OAK -- Hayden Dewitt Jr., 61, of Black Oak died Monday, Sept. 12, at his residence.

Born at Black Oak, he lived there all his life. He was retired from Coleson Caster in Monette and was a lifelong member and deacon at Black Oak Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Lanna Dewitt of Monette; two sons, Allen Dewitt of Monette and Aaron Dewitt of Black Oak; his stepmother, Ella Dewitt of Black Oak; a brother, Jesse Dewitt, of Black Oak; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayden Sr. and Virgiline Dewitt.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette, with Eddie Dunigan officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Chris McFarlin, Roy Carmichael, David Edwards, Bishop Whitley, DeWayne Whitley and Jerry Qualls.

Honorary pallbearers will include members of Black Oak Church of Christ Sunday school class.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Bernard's Hospice.
