Arlene Smith Sorrells 69, of Blytheville, AR passed away on August 9, 2017 at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. Arlene was born to J.D., and Jeannette Smith on September 21, 1947 in Burdette AR. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christ Family Christian Church in Blytheville, AR. Mrs. Sorrells is preceded in death by her parents; J.D. Smith and Jeannette Bradford Smith, and one sister; Mildred Peeks. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Raymond Sorrells of Blytheville, AR, four daughters; Gwendolyn Sorrells of Jonesboro, AR, Patricia Sorrells of Blytheville, AR, Iris (Derrick) Allen of Blytheville, AR, and Krista (Nic) Bailey of Forthworth, TX; two brothers; Robert Smith of Detroit, MI and Johnny Lee Smith of Potterville, MI, two sisters; Eunice Ray of Lansing, MI and Joyce McKinney of Flint, MI, six grandchildren, and five great-grands, and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home is Blytheville, AR. from 6 to 8 P.M. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Christ Family Christian Church in Blytheville, AR at 2 P.M., with Pastor Fred Wright officiating. Interment will be at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette, AR. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home of Blytheville.

Bishop Robert H. Williams
(January 27, 1950 - August 18, 2017)

Bishop Robert H. Williams

The Lord gifted into the world on January 27, 1950 at Promise Land, Arkansas a wonderful child, Bishop Robert H. Williams. Bishop Williams was a respected and dedicated man of God as well as a good father and a loving husband. He was the sixth child of John D. and Doretta Williams. Bishop Williams began his journey home on Friday, August 18, 2017.

Bishop Robert H. Williams grew up in the church. As a child, he attended St. Luke M.B. Church under leadership of Reverend Scott. As he grew older, he attended Salem Rose M.B. under the leadership of Reverend Mooney. Later he met and married Elsie Bullock in 1971. To this union was born five lovely children of which one preceded him in death on July 14, 2016, Zachery H. Williams. Bishop Williams was also preceded in death by his father, John D. Williams.

As Bishop Robert H. Williams grew spiritually, the Lord called him into service. He accepted the call into the ministry on January of 1972 at Nehemiah Temple COGIC under the leadership of Elder John Moore, Sr. As he served, the Lord called his servant Bishop Robert H. Williams into the ministry. He founded and pastored Faith Temple House of Prayer. Although, he had many duties as a pastor, he continued being a servant for the Lord as he ministered at the nursing home and prison.

Bishop Robert H. Williams leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Elsie Williams of Blytheville, AR; four daughters: Marcovous L. Williams of Little Rock, AR, Cassandra R. Page and Angela P. Young (Nathaniel) all of Blytheville, AR, and Teresa N. Wilkins (Anthony) of Fort Smith, AR. His mother, Mrs. Doretta Williams of Blytheville, AR, four brothers: John H. Williams (Bernice), Willie D. Williams (Gwen), Melvin L. Williams (Lynda) all of Blytheville, AR and Charles L. Williams of East St. Louis, IL, six sisters: Rosetta Hill, Hattie Coleman (David), Verleather Steele (Greg) all of Blytheville, AR, Ora Pulley of Los Angeles, CA, Clara Coleman (Moses) of St. Louis, MO and Rosie F. Williams of Indianapolis, IN, six grandchildren: Tony, Kim, Nathaniel, Devion, Danzel and Trinity, one aunt: Mrs. June Etta Morris of Kennett, MO, a host of in-laws, nephews, relatives and friends.

The visitation will be held Saturday August 26, 2017 at The First Baptist Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville, AR 1:00 to 2:00 pm with the funeral immediately following, with Elder Willie D. Williams, Jr. officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens, in Blytheville, AR. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville, AR. God Saw you get weary So He did what He thought best. And came and stood beside you And Whispered, “Come and Rest”

Henry Wayne Pasley
(February 26, 1947 - August 17, 2017)

Henry Wayne Pasley, 70, of Osceola, AR passed away August 17, 2017 at his home. He was born February 26, 1947 to the late Henry Grady and Nora Ann Pasley in Manila, AR. Mr. Pasley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Osceola, AR, a retired factory worker and retired auxiliary police officer. He is survived by three sons, Bruce Anthony (Cindy) Easley of Osceola AR, Michael Wayne Pasley and Brenton Odell Pasley both of Manila AR, seven daughters, Janet (Jesse) Chunn of Arlington, TX, Debbie Ann O’Kane (Carl Murphy) of Osceola, AR, Sandra (Randy) Strop of Keiser, AR, Donna Lynn (Ronald) Hastings of Osceola, AR, Melissa (Randy) Wilson of Searcy, AR, Kim Easley (Russell) Young of Osceola, AR, and Penny (Daniel) Horton of Jonesboro, AR, one sister Deloris Williams of Manila, AR, eighty grand and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alice Pasley, one great grandson, Xane Stambaugh. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR. Funeral will be held Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR with Bro. Jason Glenn officiating. Burial will be at Ermen Lane Cemetery in Osceola AR. Kathy Ann Boyd
(November 22, 1957 - August 26, 2017)

Kathy Ann Boyd, 59, of Frenchman Bayou, AR passed away August 26, 2017 at her home. She was born November 22, 1957 to the late Clifford and Lela Edna Odell May in Truman, AR. Ms. Boyd was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by two sons, Ricky May (Amber Rogers) of Frenchman Bayou, AR, Ronnie (Leslie) Ainsworth of Caraway, AR, one daughter Sheryl (Junior) Boyd of Caraway, AR, two brothers, Teddy May of Frenchman Bayou, AR, Randal May of Jonesboro, AR, two sisters, Patsy(Joe) Winford of Dyess, AR, Wanda (Don) Vuncannon of Jonesboro, AR, fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Linda Edlemon, one son Ricky Lee Barnes, and one granddaughter Addison Lela Ainsworth. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR. Funeral will directly follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Don Vuncannon officiating. Burial will be at Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner, AR. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola.

Mary Kathleen Gore
(March 14, 1954 - August 8, 2017)

Mary Kathleen Gore of Osceola, AR passed away one August 8, 2017 in Jonesboro, AR at the age of 63. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Church of Christ in Hardy, AR. Mrs. Gore is survived by her husband Clinton Gore of Osceola, AR, four sons Tony (Carol) Gore of Russellville, AR, Jeff Gore of Forrest City, AR, Stacy (Brandy) Gore of Horseshoe Bend, AR and Bud (Tracey) Gore of Osceola, AR, two daughters Mary Ann Gore of Osceola, AR and Kim (Scott) Jeffers of Wynne, AR, one brother Mike Taylor of Ash Flat, AR, two sisters Carol Barton and Rhonda Taylor both of Hardy, AR, sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Marlin and Lula Slayton Taylor, and one brother Jerry Taylor. Visitation will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 3:00 to 4:00pm at Wilson Funeral Home Osceola, AR a memorial service will be immediately following with Bro. Will Hester officiating. Debra Irene Watkins
(February 9, 1954 - August 5, 2017)

Debra Irene Ray Watkins 63, of Blytheville, AR passed away on August 5, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Debra was born on February 9, 1954 to William Ray and Winnie Cannon Ray in Blytheville, AR. She was a Home Health Care worker by trade and was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Manila, AR. Ms. Watkins is preceded in death by her parents William and Irene Ray, her husband William Edward Watkins and two sisters, Mary Ellen Perrett and Betty Jo Ray Askue. She is survived by three sons; Johnny (Cindy) Askue of Harrisburg, AR, Michael (Carol) Askue of Blytheville, AR and Jason Watkins of Blytheville, AR and one brother; Jack Ray of Dell, AR and three sisters; Dorthy Crump of Blytheville AR, Diane Hudson of Caruthersville, Mo and Peggy Sherrill of Killeen, TX, eight grandchildren and one great grand child. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 6 to 8 P.M. At Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, AR. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., will Bro. Winston Black Jr.

Dr. Winston Black Jr. “Joe”, 67 of Blytheville, AR passed away on July 28, 2017. He was born on March 20, 1950 to Winston Black Sr. and Alberta Bills Black in Dell, AR. He earned his PHD while working at Des Moines Area Community College and was of the Baptist faith. Dr. Black is preceded in death by his father, Winston Black Sr.. He is survived by his mother, Alberta Black of Blytheville, AR, one brother; Larry Black of Blytheville, AR, four sisters; Jewel Black of Buffalo, NY, Vernice Black of Atlanta, GA and Gloria Black of Atlanta, GA, and Harriet Black of Atlanta, GA, niece Joyce Lewis of West Memphis, AR and Pamela Johnson of Buffalo, NY and nephew; Richie Hinton of Norfolk, VA and host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 10 to 11am at the Faith and Glory Christian Fellowship Church in Blytheville, AR. Earnest William Clark

Mr. Earnest William Clark, 73 of Blytheville, AR passed away on July 29, 2017 in his home. He was born August 23, 1943 to John Clark and Christane Green Clark in Sumfert, SC. He was a railroad worker by trade and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Clark is preceded in death by his parents John and Christane Clark, and one brother Terry Leon Clark. He is survived by his wife Geraldine Clark of Blytheville, AR, two sons; Jessie Clark of Manila, AR and Aaron Clark of Kansas City, KS, two daughters; Tammy Wright of Paragould, AR and Eryka Clark of Kansas City, KS, three brothers James Clark of Hornersville, MO, Tommy Clark of Blytheville, AR, and C.W. Clark of Puntagorda, FL, and five sisters, Clara Mae Smith of Eupora, MS, Betty Skelton of Half Moon, AR, Hattie Risor of Sheveport, LA, Sue Ditto of Savannah, TN and Mary Jane Beltran of Gosnell, AR., and thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grands, and a host of other friends and relatives. Visitation will be August 2, 2017 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, AR. The funeral will be August 2, 2017 at 1 PM at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, AR. Jerry Young Beamon
(July 19, 1939 - July 23, 2017)

Mr. Jerry Young Beamon “Foxx” was born July 19, 1939 in Memphis, TN, the fifth child of Pless Herman Beamon Sr. and Viola Young Beamon. Jerry professed a hope in Christ at an early age. He attended Hyde Park Elementary and later graduated from Manassas High School in 1957. He attended Owens Business College in 1958 and in 1959 he decided to enlist in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force Jerry received several awards such as, The Meritorious Service Medal, The Air Force Commendation Medal First and Second Oak Leaf Clusters, and an Outstanding service Medal from August 1982 to October 1984. He also received an award for his outstanding support as the Chief of Production Control from the Civil Engineering Squadron, as well as a membership certificate for, the St. Andrew Lodge No. 131 located in Blytheville, AR, where he was a 33 Degree. Jerry retired from the Air Force after thirty years of service and later worked as a Housing Inspector on the Blytheville Air Force Base. He was smart, witty and had a great sense of humor. He was fun to be around, loved by many and was commonly known by his nickname “Foxx”. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; Pless and Viola Beamon, three brothers, and his son Reginald Beamon. In 1999 Jerry united in holy matrimony with Jeanneen Beamon and through this union a new life began. Foxx would always say “I just want to be loved” and that's what he got, a family that loved him unconditionally. With Jesus, wife, kids, grand kids, and great grands by his side, their was nothing he couldn't do. His heart was pure and his love toward others never wavered. On July 23, 2017, Jerry Young Beamon transitioned from this life into eternity. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanneen Beamon of Blytheville, AR whom stood by his side to the very end, along with his daughters; Stacey Turner and Pastors Toya (Fred) Wright all of Blytheville, AR, sons; Damien Smith of San Antonio, TX and Peter Beamon of Blytheville, AR, one sibling Katherine Reed of Memphis, TN and one special nephew, Harvey Reid Jr., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grans, cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Friday August 4, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, AR from 5 to 7pm.

Freddie Mae Love
(October 2, 1935 - July 27, 2017)

Freddie Mae Love passed away one July 27, 2017 at her home in Keiser, AR at the age of 81. She was a retired factory worker and was a member of New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center where she was on the Motherboard and a choir member. Ms. Love is survived by five sons Jessie Knighten of Keiser, AR, Curtis Knighten (Shonna) and Paul English both of Osceola, AR, David (Beverly) Love of Atlanta, GA and Gregory Love of Luxora, AR, seven daughters Eloise Anderson (James) of Blytheville, AR, Willie Mae (Harold) Davis and Joyce (Henry) Caldwell both of Ft. Wayne, IN, Patricia (Lawrence) Haley of Henning, TN, Bertha (Anthony) Craig and Barbara Love both of Covington, TN and Selener Love of Houston, TX, and a host of grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Blanchard Cannon, her husband Roy Lee Love, three sons Joe English, Leroy Love and Parnell Love, two daughters Julia Hill and Mattie Marsh, eight brothers and one grandchild. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017 10:00 to 11:00am at New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center in Osceola, AR with the funeral immediately following, Bishop Gregory Brown will be officiating. The burial will be held at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola, AR. Services provided by Wilson Funeral Home Osceola, AR.

Alan Dale Cox
(January 8, 1954 - July 26, 2017)

Alan Dale Cox passed away at his home in Osceola, AR on July 26, 2017 at the age of 63. He was of the Baptist Faith, held both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from ASU and was, a Farm Consultant, a Bee Keeper Apiarist and the inventor of Aland Cox Bite and Sting. Mr. Cox is survived by three daughters Tonia Cox of Burdette, AR, Misty Ramirez of Luxora, AR and Ashley M. Cox Hodges of Osceola, AR, one brother Michael Cox of GA and eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents L.T. and Mildred Dees Cox. Visitation will be held Monday, July 31, 2017 9:00 to 11:00am at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola, AR with the funeral following at 11:00am, Bro. Gary Andrews will be officiating.
