Chuck Carlough

Charles "Chuck" David Carlough, 57, of Fayetteville, Arkansas died Thursday May 16, 2013 at his home. He was born February 23, 1956.

Chuck loved riding his motorcycle and traveling. He is survived by his dog, Buddy, and will be sadly missed by many loved ones.

A memorial service with friends will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at The Grill Resturant on the corner.

Ruth Cook

Ruth Virginia Cook of Rogers passed on May 15, 2013. She was born on September 28, 1927 in Vanndale, AR to the late Egbert H and Delia E (Ollison) Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-three years, Grover Melvin Cook, who passed on January 13, 1982.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family and friends. She found comfort and strength in her Lord, Jesus Christ. She especially enjoyed going to church and singing the old gospel favorites. Family and friends will never forget her ability to laugh and smile each day, even through the last fifteen years of her life, as she suffered from a debilitating illness.

Ruth and Grover settled in Little Rock after he graduated from the University of Arkansas. Grover worked as a mechanical engineer until his death in 1982. Ruth was a homemaker when her children were young and later worked as a receptionist for the UAMS Urology Clinic for twenty years. After her retirement, she joined her son, Steve, and his family in Rogers, AR.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Dianne Smith (Robert) of Cincinnati, OH; son, Barry Stephen Cook (Angela) of Rogers, AR; sister, Bernice Tyner of Benton, AR; four grandchildren - Bryan Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio, Erin Cook Thompson of Rog-ers, AR, Lacey Smith Esposito of Levittown, PA, Matthew Cook of Rogers, great-grandchildren, Isla and Lucinda Smith, Hannah and Gavin Thompson and Charlotte and Eli Esposito; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 19th at the Griffin, Leggett, Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, AR 72204. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday May 20 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Brother Jaime Alexander, Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista. Ruth will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR next to her beloved husband, Grover.

The family would like to issue special thanks to the professional and loving staff at Innisfree Health & Rehab in Rogers, and the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. We also want to recognize the caring support of Ricky Epting of the Epting Funeral Home in Rogers and Donna Fallin at Circle of Life Hospice. The family would request memorials in lieu of flowers with donation to Circle of Life Hospice, 900 NE Verdant, Bentonville, AR 72712. www.nwacircleoflife.org

Nancy Boucher

Nancy Boucher, 73, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Monday, May 13, 2013 at her home. She was born July 8, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of John and Pauline Cheney.

She enjoyed spending time with family. Nancy played golf and bridge. She also enjoyed traveling on cruises and driving across the United States.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Barbara, and a son Billy.

Nancy is survived by: her husband of 28 years; Bill Boucher, of the home, her brother; Jack Cheney, and his wife Penny, of California; two sons; John Schick of Arizona, and David Schick and his wife Shannon, of California; three step sons; Bill H. Boucher of California, Roger K. Boucher and his wife Cindy, of California, and Earl D. Boucher and his wife Donna, of California; Nancy is also survived by one granddaughter and five step grandsons.

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista.

Transportation from the parking lot to the chapel will be provided as needed.

Dale Manchester

Dale Eugene Manchester, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 08, 2013. He was born in Sherman County, Nebraska to Orrin and Emma Manchester on December 13, 1929.

A 1948 graduate of Fairfield, Iowa High School, he enlisted and served honorably in the United States Air Force. Dale Manchester and Ruth Darlene Reneker were married April 3, 1954 at the First Christian Church in Fairfield, Iowa. They are the proud parents of daughter Cheryl Kay Cevenka, of Plano, Texas. Dale worked for a natural gas pipeline in Iowa and then transferred to Oklahoma until his retirement in 1985.

The next move was to Bella Vista, Arkansas but Dale never really retired. He was a volunteer and employee of the P.O.A. for years. Serving in Crime Watch, Golf Course Worker, Square Dancer, lifetime member of Bella Vista VFW, several golf groups- notably the “Oldies” and the “Thirsk Neighbors.”

Surviving him is his wife, Darlene, daughter Cheryl Kay Cervenka and her husband Mark, sister Mildred Creek, sister-in-law Jeri Manchester, nieces and nephews, Linda Bradfield, Kelly Gray, Bill and Mike Manchester.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Kenneth, Harold, and Dean, two nephews, Bob Manchester and Rick Creek, niece Roxie Creekand brother-in-law Ben Creek.

There will be no services held in Bella Vista. A donation to the Salvation Army was his only request as a memorial.

David Adams

David Harold Adams, 56, Rogers, Arkansas died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. He was born September 24, 1956 in Hoxie, Kansas the son of Eileene Holmes and Harold Vernon Adams.

He proudly served in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Kansas State University, a member of ROTC, and a member of Keypoint Church in Bentonville.

He was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors, sports, especially watching Kansas State and the Razorbacks. He had lived in the Northwest Arkansas area for over 20 years after moving from Wichita, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by: one brother; Terry, and his parents.

David is survived by five sons, two daughters, and twelve grandchildren;

Jonathan Adams, of Rogers, Joseph Adams, of Rogers, Jared Adams and his wife Alissa, of Bentonville, Rebecca Craig and her husband Dan, of Knoxville, Arkansas, Sarah Brown and her husband Joel, of Virginia, Joshua Hollinger and his wife Amber, of Bentonville, Aaron Hollinger and his wife Lisa, of Bentonville, two brothers; Eldon Adams, of California, Edward Adams and his wife Betty, of Kansas, one sister; Sheryl Kaufman and her husband Richard, of Wichita, Kansas, one sister-in-law; Vicki Adams, of Kansas, and many extended family members, including nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be: Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 10:30-12 at Keypoint Church in Bentonville, located at 1710 Southwest Commerce Drive. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00. Interment will be at National Cemetery in Fayetteville at 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be: Jonathan Adams, Joseph Adams, Jared Adams, Edward Adams, Joshua Hollinger, Aaron Hollinger, and Richard Kaufman.

Flowers are being coordinated by Matkins Flowers of Bentonville, Arkansas.

Ronald Martin

Ronald “Ron” Dean Martin, 62, of Gravette died Monday, May 6, 2013 at Ozark Community Hospital.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherrie Gomez.

He was survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Brenda Farrington

Brenda Kirchmaier Farrington, 77, of Rogers, Arkansas died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born October 31, 1935 in Rochester, New York.

She is survived by many loving relatives.

Jerry Gooding

Jerry Wade Gooding, 68, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at his home. He was born December 4, 1944, in Arkansas, the son of Dorothy M. Southern and Sidney W. Gooding.

He was owner/operator of J&S Trucking since 1992. Previously, he owned and operated Jerry's Foreign Car Repair for over 20 years. He was a champion race car driver for 22 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, stock car racing, and inventing things.

He was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas. He leaves behind many friends, family members, Hootie (Yorkie) and Sundance (Parrot).

He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney, and sister, Weeda Gooding.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sharon Gooding, whom he married March 26, 1962; his mother, Dorothy Gooding, Springdale; three daughters, Cheryl Sanders and husband, Scoot; Tracy Gooding; Heather Gooding Robertson, all of Fayetteville; his sister, Linda Simpson and husband, Doug, Springdale; and four grandchildren: Sidney, Jacob, Hunter, and Cole.

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Greenland, 273 W. Wilson St. Fayetteville, AR 72701.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Washington County Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.
