Tessie Mae McLeod
(January 1, 1935 - April 23, 2012)

Tessie Mae (Jerry) McLeod age 77, of El Dorado, departed this life on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. She was born on January 1, 1935 in Lawson, Arkansas to the late John Lee and Della J. Jerry.

Tessie was a member of the Grace Bible Baptist Church in El Dorado. She was a loving wife, Mother and sister whom will be greatly missed by all of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Della Jerry; husband, Charles Ray McLeod SR; son, Charles Ray McLeod JR; one sister, Delzee Goodwin; four brothers, Leonard Jerry, Ralph Jerry, Roger Jerry and Grady Lee Jerry.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sisters, Virginia Farris and her husband James, Linda Sue Loftin and her husband Johnny all of El Dorado; one sister in law, Alverne Jerry of Mississippi; two brother in laws, Gwen McLeod and his wife Bonnie of Texas, Jerry McLeod and his wife Bonnie of Virginia. Also, Numerous beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Liberty Baptist Church in Lawson, Arkansas with Bro. Danny Donahoe and Bro. Ronnie Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday Evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tim Loftin, Lloyd Phelps, John T. Goodwin, James “Tootlum” Goodwin, James Roger Jerry and James R. “Jamie” Goodwin.

The family will be at the home of James and Debra Goodwin, 661 Feed Mill Rd El Dorado, AR.

Ruby Dell Phelps Callison
(March 2, 1933 - March 16, 2012)

Ruby Dell (Phelps) Callison, age 79, of Magnolia, Ar. passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at Magnolia Health and Rehab. She was born March 2, 1933 in Brown Springs, Arkansas to Joseph and Nettie (Siratt) Phelps.

She was a homemaker and was a present member of First Christian Church of Kiowa, Kansas and a former member of First United Methodist Church in Magnolia, Ar. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James William “Jim” Callison, three brothers and one sister.

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Joseph Glen Callison and wife, Terri of Lenexa, KS; Denny Callison and wife, Lynette of Kiowa, KS and Billy Callison of Magnolia, Ar; two daughters, Debbie Wray and husband, Bobby of Florence, MS; Penny Adams and husband, James of Texarkana, Ar; two brothers, Jimmy Joe Phelps and wife, Sharon of Brown Springs, Ar and Frank Phelps and wife, Wayne of Brown Springs, Ar; two sisters, Bonnie Roberts of Magnolia, Ar and Mary Feree of Ft. Worth, Tx; 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of friends.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, MS. 39703.

Memorial services will be held at later date. Arrangements are by Bailey Funeral Home of Magnolia, Ar.

William Edward Williams
(March 1, 1937 - May 6, 2012)

William “Uncle Ed” Williams age 75, of El Dorado, passed from this life on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his home in El Dorado. He was born on March 1, 1937 in Warren, AR to the late Everette and Helen Beatrice (Neely) Williams.

Ed was a NAPA auto parts salesman in El Dorado for many years and later became the owner of NAPA stores in El Dorado and Magnolia, from which he retired. Due to his love for people, after retirement, he later rejoined the workforce part time at Gene’s Auto Supply. One of Ed’s favorite past times was spending time outdoors whether it be hunting or just hanging out with his special buddy, Eric.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Helen Raper.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of almost 50 years, Nell (Groves) Williams of El Dorado, who he married on October 12, 1962. Ed and Nell had no children of their own, but have lots of special family including; one brother, Robert B. Williams and wife Bette of California; niece, Carita Carney and husband Stan of California; niece Leslie Sjolrene and husband Wayne of California; One Brother in law Jamie Raper ;Nephew, Matt Raper and wife Carrie of Warren; niece, Amanda Raper Gladden and husband Kym of Warren; one sister in law, Frances Groves Webb and husband Bobby of Norphlet; two brother in laws, Charles Elmer Groves and wife Margaret of Pigeon Hill Community; Wayne Groves and wife Ruth Grace of El Dorado; Nephew, Michael Webb and wife Gina of El Dorado; Niece, Myrenda Webb Swilley and husband Scotty of El Dorado; Nephew, Bo Groves and wife Carrie of El Dorado; Nephew, Eddie Wayne Groves of El Dorado, currently stationed in Florida serving our country. Several Great nieces and nephews to include: Amy Durchman, Erin Webb, Jacob Swilley, Eric Swilley, Austin Groves, Ember Groves, Colton Groves and Jay Welch; a God-daughter, Robin McGarity Johnson and husband Brandon Johnson and their children, Daniel Hayes, Sydney Hayes, and Mitchell Johnson all of El Dorado

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the El Dorado Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Hudson officiating assisted by Bro. Robert B. Williams. Entombment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-8 pm at Bailey Funeral Home

Pallbearers will be, Jacob Swilley, Eric Swilley, Matt Raper, Randy Taylor, Terry Taylor, Darrell Taylor, Brandon Johnson, Michael Webb and Jessie Millican. Honorary pallbearers will be, Mike Neely, Richard Tackett, Bobby G. Black, Neely Deer Camp Members, Employees of Gene’s Auto Supply and Employees of NAPA in Magnolia. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Melvin Dale Still
(October 25, 1941 - March 17, 2012)

Melvin Dale Still, 70 of El Dorado, AR. passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born October 25, 1941 in Roy, Arkansas.

He worked as a boiler operator for Cooper Tire and retired after 38yrs. of service. He attended Grace Baptist Church. Melvin enjoyed playing cards, working on Lawn Mowers and loved watching western movies, hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death are his parents, John L. and Laradell (Duncan) Still and one great grandson, Mason Sehon.

Survivors include his wife, Linda (Ward) Still of El Dorado, two daughters, Linda Gail Brewer and husband, Johnny of Junction City, Ar. and Margaret Ann Jackson and husband, Wayne of Spearsville, La. one brother, Billy Still, Sr. of Bearden, Ar.; four grandchildren, Katey Sehon and husband, Kevin of El Dorado; John David Brewer and fiance’ Lea Panell of Junction City, Ar; Mykenzie Jackson, Ansley Jackson of Spearsville, La; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00am, Monday, March 19, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado with Terrell Langley officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, Ar.

The family will be at the home of Linda Still at 1917 Country Square Rd. in El Dorado. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to John R. Williamson Hospice or The Mason Sehon Fund @ Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Pansy Arlene (Smith) Bearden
(February 13, 1938 - April 6, 2012)

Pansy Arlene (Smith) Bearden, age 74, of Little Rock, Ar. passed away April 6, 2012. She was born February 13, 1938 in El Dorado, Ar. to John “Bud” Alexander and Lottie Louise (Boyette) Smith.

She was of the Baptist faith. She loved going fishing and enjoyed dancing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a mother to all and lent a helping hand to anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Morris Russell, one son, Danny Russell, one grandson, Dustin Daniel Russell and one brother, Randel Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Austin Smith and wife, Dena of Calion, Ar. and John E. “Dusty” Smith and wife, Cynthia of Calion, Ar., four daughters, Sarita (Russell) Davis and husband, Tim of Benton, Ar., Wanda (Russell) King and husband, Mark of Elektra, Tx., Lisa (Russell) Dupuy of Little Rock, Ar. and Nikki (Russell) Freeman of Little Rock, Ar., one brother, Johnnie “Mike” Smith and wife, Gail of Hot Springs, Ar., one sister, Mary Lynn Midkiff and husband, Guy of DeWitt, Ar., eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00pm, Monday, April 9, 2012 at Bethel Cemetery with Austin Smith officiating under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado, Ar.

Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 at Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado, Ar.

Chloie Inez Hudnall
(December 29, 1923 - April 4, 2012)

Chloie Inez (Hill) Hudnall age 88 of Lawson, Ar departed this life and joined her heavenly father on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado. She was born on December 29, 1923 in union county to the late Llwellyn and Mary Elizabeth (Duke) Hill. Chloie was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church. She loved being outdoors whether it be tending to her flowers or working in her garden. She especially enjoyed her time keeping each and every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren on numerous occasions while they were growing up.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Hudnall; grandson, Steven Marshall Waller and by all sixteen of her brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Barbara Janice “B.J” Waller of Lawson; two grandsons, Nick waller and wife Angie of Lawson and Toby Waller of Mountain View California; one granddaughter, Penny Storey and husband Kenny of Lawson; four great granddaughters, Tyler Vance and Evan Vance both of Lawson, Leighanna Waller of Strong and Kailey Jones of El Dorado; one great grandson, Dylan Waller of Lawson; two great great granddaughters, Chloie Harper Llyn Vance of Lawson and Molly Jane Smith of El Dorado; one great great grandson, Taylon Calloway of Strong. Also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Lawson, with Bro. Gary Hill Officiating. Burial will follow the service under the direction Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Friday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House or to the Liberty Baptist Cemetery Fund.
