Shandra Kay Callison

A funeral for Shandra Kay Callison, 24, of Winters, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lighthouse Christian Church, 418 Haven St. in Winters. Burial will follow the services at the Winters Cemetery.

Ms. Callison died Sept. 24, 2000, in Winters.

Born Dec. 25, 1975, in Woodland, she resided in Winters. She graduated from Winters High School, attended American River College in Sacramento for 2 years and studied to be a paralegal. She worked for the last year at Travis Federal Credit Union in Vacaville.

Ms. Callison is survived by her mother and stepfather, Laura and John E. Crespo of Winters; son, Justin A. Hadley of Winters; grandmother, Lula of Winters; brother, Edward of Winters; sisters, Wilma D. of Woodland and Kerri Crespo of Sacramento; aunt, Lorraine Kay Underwood of Portland, Ore.; nephew, Joshua McGee of Davis; nieces, Jessica McGee of Woodland and Jordan Steinsberger of Sacramento; cousin and best friend, Laura Graves of Dixon.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Smith's Colonial Chapel, 14 Main St., Winters.

Marjorie Dupuis

A funeral for Marjorie Dupuis, 76, of Vacaville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

The Dupuis family will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Dupuis died Sept. 25, 2000, in Fairfield.

Born April 29, 1924, in South Dakota, she lived in Vacaville for 41 years. She was a high school graduate and attended nursing school. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Dupuis is survived by her husband of 55 years, Herman L. of Vacaville; sons and daughters-in-law, Kent and Lynette of Alameda and Victor and Carol of Pleasant Grove, Utah; sister, Lorraine Adolphson of Loveland, Colo.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Society of Solano County, 801 Jefferson St., Suite 2, Fairfield, 94533.

Elsie J. Finney

A memorial service for Elsie J. Finney, 75, of Fairfield will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Fairmont Memorial Park. Inurnment will follow.

Mrs. Finney died Sept. 24, 2000, at her home in Fairfield.

Born Aug. 11, 1925, in Greenville, S.C., she lived in Fairfield for the past three years. She worked for the New York School District as a school aide, having lived in New York before moving to Solano County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved painting, growing plants and upholstering.

Mrs. Finney is survived by her sons, Warren of Fairfield, Maurice Campbell-Stiles of Stockton, Timothy of Florida, and Lawrence of New York; sisters, Jonnie Mae Dabson of South Carolina, Mozell Robinson of South Carolina, Beaulah and Berry Robinson, both of New York, and Louise of Leverette, S.C.; and brother, James Robinson of South Carolina. She also has six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Hellen Grace Mashburn

A funeral service for Hellen Grace Mashburn, 79, of Fairfield, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

Pastor Bob Lewis of Temple Baptist Church will preside. Interment will be at the Rockville Cemetery.

Mrs. Mashburn died Sept. 26, 2000, in Vacaville after a short illness.

Born March 13, 1921, in Koshkonong, Mo., she resided in Fairfield for 55 years. She was a homemaker for 53 years.

Mrs. Mashburn is survived by her daughter, Alice Whitlock of Seattle, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law, William and Pamela of Redding; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Mabel Huffman of Fairfield; grandsons and their wives, Mitch and Tonya of Vacaville and Paul and Mary of Campbell; granddaughter, Lila Rawley of Redding; six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.

James Edward Morales

A Mass of the Resurrection for James Edward Morales, 18, will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday at the Travis Air Force Base Chapel.

Mr. Morales died Sept. 26, 2000, at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Rev. Vincent O'Reilly of St. Joseph's Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will follow at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Morales was born on June 4, 1982, in San Fernando, Pampanga, the Philippines. He was a resident of Vacaville for the past 11 years.

A 2000 graduate of Vanden High School, Mr. Morales was accepted to join the U.S. Air Force in January of 2001. At the time of his death, he was employed by Wal-Mart. Mr. Morales was president of the Bisayan Society USA, Inc., Youth Group. He also represented Solano County as a student ambassador of the People to People presidential program, and traveled with the group to Europe in the summer of 1999.

He is survived by his parents, Jose and Carmen Morales of Vacaville, and sister, Maria.

Friends may call for visitation from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Nadeau Family Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Alan M. Norman

A funeral for Alan M. Norman, 34, of Winters, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at McCune Garden Chapel.

Pastor Martin Blanton of Vacaville Bible Church and Pastor Robert Gonzales Jr. will preside. Burial will be at a later date.

Mr. Norman died Sept. 24, 2000, in Winters.

Born Dec. 4, 1965, in San Francisco, he lived in Winters for 22 years. He attended elementary school in Vacaville, graduated from Winters High School in 1984 and worked as a local truck driver for Meeks.

Mr. Norman was a loyal Raiders fan, loved hunting for dove and deer and playing golf.

Mr. Norman is survived by his parents, Holly and Melvin of Coolidge, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Sharyl and David Chapman of Craig, Colo.; sister, Jennifer of Vacaville; daughter, Laura Jean of Minco, Okla.; stepson, Justin Hadley of Winters; maternal grandfather, Eugene Cromwell of Fairfield; paternal grandparents, Jeff "M.C." and Thema of Vacaville; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Lena Voss

A funeral for Lena Voss, 81, of Vacaville, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Rev. William Feeser will preside. Interment will follow at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mrs. Voss died Sept. 24, 2000, in Vacaville.

Born June 13, 1919, in Aberdeen, S.D., she resided in Vacaville. She was very active in the McBride Senior Center. She chaired the monthly breakfasts and loved to play bingo.

Mrs. Voss is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Nancy of Vacaville; daughter, Jacque Woods of Salinas; sister, Agnes Hampton of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Joseph Woods of Sparks, Paul Woods of Morgan Hill, Clifford Woods of Salinas, Michael of Vacaville, David of Napa and Jennifer of San Francisco.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary at 6 p.m. in McCune Garden Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Voss' memory to Kaiser Hospice, 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo, 94590, or The McBride Senior Center, 411 Kendal St., Vacaville.

Robert Dean Small

Only private services will be held for Robert Dean Small, 39, of Thousand Oaks.

Mr. Small died Sept. 23, 2000, in Los Alamos.

Born Oct. 31, 1960, in California, he lived in Thousand Oaks for the past year. He worked for Patagonia, a sporting goods manufacturer, as a computer programmer. He was a graduate of Armijo High School in 1978 and attended Solano College, receiving his associate of arts degree in liberal arts before receiving his bachelor of arts at California State University, Sacramento. He was an avid tennis player, and tournament bass fishing and computer programming held most of his interest.

Mr. Small is survived by his mother, Shigeko of Fairfield; and sister, Shirley of Sacramento.

Maria Taillant

There will be no services held for Maria Taillant, 84, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.

Mrs. Taillant died Sept. 22, 2000, in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a short illness.

Born June 30, 1916, in Mendoza, Argentina, she lived in Vacaville for six years. She was a homemaker all of her adult life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Taillant loved to travel, cook, crochet, spoil her grandchildren and to help other people.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Julio and Ester of San Francisco, and Michael and Alcira of St. Petersburg, Fla.; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Roberto Cariaga of St. Petersburg, and Susana and Sergio Daveris of Vacaville; and 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday with a rosary at 5 p.m. at McCune Garden Chapel. The Rev. Eugenio Lopez of St. Mary's Catholic Church will preside.

Memorial contributions may be made in Maria's memory to the Arthritis Foundation, Northern California Chapter, 203 Willow St., Ste. 201, San Francisco, 94109.

Julio Avila

Funeral services for Julio Avila, 78, of Vacaville, will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Father Eugenio Lopez will preside. Burial will follow at the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery.

Mr. Avila died Sept. 25, 2000, in Vacaville.

Born May 12, 1922, in Zacatecas, Mexico, he lived in Vacaville for several years. He worked in the nursery business for 15 years.

Mr. Avila is survived by his wife, Elodia of Vacaville; sons, Jorge, Juan, David and Julio Jr., all of Vacaville, and Ricardo of Fairfield; daughters, Patty, Mayra and Lupe Torres, all of Vacaville, Angelica of Fairfield, Maricela Morgan of Washington and Norma of Los Angeles; brother, Juan of Southern California; sisters, Flora and Angelina, both of Southern California; and 16 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday in McCune Garden Chapel.

Joyce June Vanek

Visitation for Joyce June Vanek, 73, of Vallejo will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nadeau Family Funeral Home, 180 E. Monte Vista Ave., in Vacaville.

Vanek died Sept. 30, 2000, in Vallejo.

Born Jan. 31, 1927, in Kenosha, Wis., Mrs. Vanek was co-owner of the J & J Bootery of Suisun and was founder of Costumes by Joyce, also of Suisun.

Mrs. Vanek is survived by her husband, James of Vacaville; daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Gary Morris of Fairfield, Georgia and Hans Hanson of Suisun, Joyce and David Jacobson of Coalinga, and Melody and Ron Nix of Fairfield; and seven grand-children and four great-grand-children.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1900 Powell St., Ste 285, Emeryville CA 94608-1897.

Fernando Jimenez Goloyogo

A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Fernando Jimenez Goloyogo, 59, of Fairfield at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

The Rev. Michael Downey will preside. Entombment will be in Fairmont Memorial Park.

Mr. Goloyogo died Oct. 2, 2000, in NorthBay Medical Center after a short illness.

He was born April 4, 1941, in Pagdalagan, San Fernando, La Union, the Philippines, he resided in Fairfield for 12 years. He served in the Philippine Army, came to California in 1969 and worked for Alameda County for 15 years, retiring as a senior account clerk for Alameda County's Recorders Office in 1993. He was an active member of Cursillo and Charismatic Movement, and Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Mr. Goloyogo is survived by his wife, Remedios M. of Fairfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Marian and Arturo Isla of Fairfield and Theresa and Raymond Leung of Fairfield; sons, Ferdinand and Fernando M. Jr. of Fairfield; sister, Rosario G. Baylas of San Lorenzo; grandchildren, Armar, Arabelle and Michelle Isla, all of Fairfield.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary that night at 7 in Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
