She was a teacher for much of her life and loved helping people learn. She had many talents and hobbies, some include painting, sewing, knitting, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her older brother Sky Stewart, and two son’s Steven Dunlap, and Alan Dunlap.
She is survived by her daughter Kathy Fanoe (Mark), son Greg Dunlap; grandchildren, Jonathan Bell (Christina), Sean Fanoe (Robin), Janie Fanoe (Ali), Steven Dunlap Jr. (Jamie), Justin Dunlap, Cody Dunlap (Amy), Ashley Dunlap, Erin Dunlap, Jaclyn Dunlap; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be sorely missed."

She was an Accountant for 35 years for Ocean Mist Farms.
Dorian was a member of Castroville Club, Italian Catholic Federation, Board Member for the Artichoke Festival, SPRSI Jr. Woman’s Group.
She was preceded In death by husband, Robert Richards, mother, Joy Pieri, father, Albert Pieri.
She is survived by her, daughters Audra and Molly. Their husbands Kevin and Emilio. Her grandchildren Sophia, Khloe, Emilio, Charlotte, Jameson, and Gizelle. Her siblings Renee, Glen, and Diane.
Chapel Services will be held 11:00a.m. Monday, November 6, 2017 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.
Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.

She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed her children and family. Loved gardening on the Bengard Ranch where she lived.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, David Gutierrez, sons, Jonathan, Christian, Christopher, Abraham, parents, Jose and Aurelia Aceves, brothers, Guillermo, Jose Luis, sisters, Carmen, Maria de Jesus, Maria Guadalupe, Martha and Beatrice.
Visitation will be held 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA. 93901

Evan Michael Gomes
February 5, 1988 - October 29, 2017

Evan Michael Gomes Loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and a friend of many, passed away suddenly from a short illness, on Sunday, October 29, 2017.
Evan was born on February 5, 1988, in Castroville, California. He graduated from North Monterey County High and then went on to complete the Aircraft Maintenance Program at Gavilan College. He had a natural curiosity and talent for anything mechanical or constructed and spent many hours helping out friends or family on anything in need of repair.
Evan served his community through participation in Young Farmers & Ranchers and by serving on the barn committee for the Salinas California Rodeo.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Gomes, Jr. 2015 and by his grandfathers, Ronald Kienbaum in 2003 and Frank Gomes Sr. in 2006.
He is survived by his loving mother, Rhonda Gomes, his brothers, Gregory, Trey and Graham (Jalima); his grandmothers Shirley Kienbaum, Joyce Gomes, Martha Cabatu-Kienbaum and by many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. We will all miss him dearly.
A Service will be held at the Monterey County Sheriff’s Posse Grounds located at 395 Old Natividad Road, in Salinas, on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11:30a.m. A celebration of his life will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Rancho Cielo or to your favorite charity in Evan’s name.

David Hoover Hart
July 8, 1954 - October 17, 2017

Resided in Salinas, CA
David Hoover Hart, owner/partner of Royal Packing Company, passed away at the age of 63 in his home on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, after fighting a long battle with cancer.
He was born July 8, 1954 in Salinas, CA.
He was a prominent member of the Agricultural community throughout Monterey County. Among his many accomplishments, David served as Chairman of the Board for the Monterey County Water Resources Agency and served on the Board of Directors for various agencies including Western Growers Association, Grower-Shipper Association, Iceberg Lettuce Research, and the Monterey County Farm Bureau.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Hoover Hart.
David is survived by his father, Donald Eugene Hart, sister, Kathy of Fresno. David is also survived by his wife of 27 years Mary Hart, daughter, Heather Rose Hart, and son Trace Hart.
A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held 11:00a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Sherwood Hall, 940 North Main Street, Salinas, CA. 93906.

Phillip C. DiGirolamo
June 11, 1939 - October 28, 2017

Resided in Salinas, California
Phillip’s twelve-year journey with Multiple Myeloma ended peacefully at home. Phil was born in Antioch, CA and raised in Monterey. He graduated in 1957 from Monterey Union High School, where he played football and baseball. He continued his education and football at both Monterey Peninsula College and Chico State, where he graduated in 1962. Phil earned his Elementary Teaching Credential at San Jose State University. He served for 36-years as a Teacher and Vice Principal with the Salinas City Elementary School District, mostly at El Gabilan School. He also coached football at Salinas High School for many years.
Phil was the eldest child of Anthony and Frances (Lucido) DiGirolamo who moved from Pittsburg, CA to Monterey before he started school. His father was a fisherman and later opened Angelo’s Restaurant on Fisherman’s Wharf with his brothers. Phil worked in the kitchen and learned to cook there. It was a job he enjoyed and kept while going to school and during summer vacations for a number of years. His culinary skills enhanced many family meals, especially during the holidays.
Phil was preceded in death by his father, Anthony, and brother, Richard of San Jose, along with many aunts and uncles. Survivors: his mother, Frances, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday; his MPC sweetheart, Jane Lemmon, to whom he was married for 57 years; children, Lori (Greg) Voogd, and Blaise (Michelle) DiGirolamo, both of Salinas; sisters Rena DiGirolamo of Monterey and Tina (Robert) England of Salinas; sister-in-law, Bette DiGirolamo of San Jose; four grandchildren who brought so much joy to his life, Nick and Tyler Voogd, Madison and Marco DiGirolamo, all of Salinas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, godchildren and cousins by the dozens. He loved being part of his extended Italian family and was proud to be the first grandson on both sides of his family.
Phil was a SF 49er Season Ticket holder since 1971, a true 49er faithful. He also followed the SF Giants and Golden State Warriors as well as college sports. He enjoyed playing golf with family and friends. He loved trips to Italy, Hawaii, Lake Tahoe and places closer to home. He would go anywhere to watch his grandchildren play sports or perform.
The family would like to thank Dr. Geetha Varma, the nurses and staff in the Cancer Care Clinic, his VNA Palliative Care nurse, Angela, and the rest of the Palliative Care Team.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at San Carlos Cathedral, 500 Church St, Monterey, CA 93940.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, VNA & Hospice, 5 Lower Ragsdale Dr., Monterey, CA 93940 or your favorite charity.

Betty J. Nielsen

She was born January 16, 1930 in Frost, Texas.
Betty was the Office Manager for 29 years with Doctor Spence Myers. She was a member of the Monterey Moose Lodge, Member of American Legion Post, Active Seniors. She loved people, dancing and socializing. And a Avid Giants Fan.
She is survived by her son, Steven E. Cobb, daughter, Shirlyn (Jack) Davenport, 2 grandchildren, Stacy and Christi, 2 great grandchildren, Warren and Andrew.
