CRAMER, PARIS (JON) Born March 5, 1964 in  Washington, passed away October 15, 2001 in Sacramento. A 1982 graduate of Moffat County High School in Craig, Colorado, he is survived by his parents, Leo and Mary Auis of Craig, CO.; brothers, Tom and Troy, and their children. Paris arrived in Sacramento in 1985, working at several restaurants until 1990 when he began working at Faces Nightclub until his death. Paris is best remembered for his sarcastic wit and his great ability to build and/or repair anything. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial on Sunday, October 28, 2:30pm at McKinley Park Rose Garden, followed by a "Celebration of Life" at Club 21.

FLOYD, CHARLES "SIR CHARLES" A long time resident of Rancho Cordova, passed away surrounded by family And friends on October 19, 2001. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 yrs., Vera. Two daughters, Kay and husband David, Patricia and husband, David. Three sons, Michael, Jack and wife, Nancy, Stephen and wife Bev. Eight grandchildren, and Four great grandchildren. Two brothers, William and Jack and Sisters, Joan and Lilly all Of England also survive him. Charles was a member of the Royal Air Force in WWII. Also a member of the Moose Lodge and Shriners. A wonderful father, husband and friend will be sadly missed. Arrangements by the Neptune society of NO. CA. Sacramento.

FOEY, HENRY L. In Sacramento, October 16, 2001. Brother of Pearl  Jones of Monterey, Lily Mason of San Leandro, Sam Foey of Oregon, Helen Louis, Annie Wong, Fannie Wong, and David Foey all of Sacramento and Brenda Foey of Oregon. He leaves many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces & Great Nephews. A native of Red Bluff, aged 67 years. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea, has lived in Sacramento for the past 50 years and retired as a Foreman from the U.S. Postal Service after 25 years. Friends are respectfully invited to attend Memorial Funeral Services Tuesday, October 30, 2001 at 2:00 PM in the LAND PARK CHAPEL OF HARRY A. NAUMAN & SON, 4041 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA. GRAMM, DOROTHY RAINES Dorothy Raines Gramm went to her heavenly reward on Monday Oct 22. She was born the daughter of Mabel and Wilsey Raines on Oct 17, 1927. She married Bernard Gramm 12-2-1950. She was preceded in death by both of her brothers, Richard and Robert, and her sister Margaret. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bernard; both of their daughters and their families, Janet Gramm Goodman and her husband Stewart, and their 3 children, and Michele Gramm Wolski, her husband Ed, and their 3 children. Dorothy was employed for many years as Publication Editor at California Retired Teacher's Assoc. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Although she will be greatly missed, the family rejoices that she is now dancing in the arms of her savior, Jesus. A memorial service will be planned out-of state.

ISBILL, LULUBELLE LOWE Born July 14, 1916 in West Ely, Missouri. Passed away on October 23, 2001 in Fair Oaks. Preceded in death by her husband Rev. O. Ralph Isbill. Survived by her son, Terry Isbill and wife Nancy, daughter, Vonda Mellott and husband Carl; brother, Gerald Lowe of Burlington, lA; 5 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. LANCASTER, MILLIE DREE Born in Nehleton, Mississippi on May 14, 1924. On October 23, 2001 she went to join her sons, James, Ray, Jimmy, Don, her daughters Carolyn and Darlene, her mother and father and 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her husband Robert of Citrus Heights, her 4 daughters Jean Cornelison of Sacramento , Helen Book of Citrus Heights, Marilyn Largent of Manteca, Charline Young of Converse, TX. 28 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and the future arrival of twin great grandchildren. Services to be held on Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Mount Vernon Memorial Park 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks with viewing on Sunday between 12-5 p.m. also at Mount Vernon. Come join us and celebrate the life of a very special wife, mother, and grandma. She was loved and will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

MAHONEY, RON Born October 25, 1935, passed away peacefully at home, October 22, 2001, after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of California, born in Glendale and raised in Auburn. He lived in the Sacramento area for many years. Ron is survived by his loving wife Marty of 47 years; son Gary of Auburn; daughter Terry of Granite Bay; sister Barbara Davis of Grass Valley; two grandsons, Jesse and James of Auburn; one niece, Nola Davis of Grass Valley; and numerous friends. He was an avid music lover, a member of the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society and a Jubilee volunteer since 1974. At his request no services are schduled. Beez Kneez Jazz Band's performance, 6 to 9pm on November 13 at Round Table Pizza parlor, Old Sac, will be dedicated to the memory of Ron. Donations may be made to the STJS Jazz Camp. He will be greatly missed by his family and innumerable friends.

MATALONE, DOMINICK (DOM) 54, rose to the Spirit World to continue his journey on Oct. 22, 2001.

MAYER, STANLEY The Native American community lost a great champion on October 23, 2001. Stanley Mayer, a Mono Indian healer, has been called to join his Spirit Helpers. Born December 21, 1947, and raised in North Fork, California, Stanley was the only son of Bill and Sylvena Mayer. Stan spent 24 years at the State Department of Health Services, where he worked to improve the lives of Native Americans throughout California. He was instrumental in organizing the Chaw Se Traditional Medicine Gathering. Because of Stan's vision, the Bear Dance Ceremony has become a treasured annual event at the Round House in Yosemite. Stan was a tireless advocate on behalf of the non-federally- recognized tribes. A Viet Nam veteran, Stan also devoted himself to helping fellow veterans at the yearly Stand Down here in Sacramento. Stan will be sorely missed by his many devoted friends. Remembrances may be made to the Sierra Mono Indian Museum, P.O.Box 1377, and North Fork, CA 93643. Visitation will be Sunday, October 28, from 2:00 to 8:00 at Jays Chapel in Mariposa (559-674-8814). Graveside services will be 1pm Monday, October 29, at the North Fork cemetery. McINTYRE, RUTH Received by the Lord, October 21, 2001 in Sacramento. Born Martha Ruth Wise August 5, 1912 in Bridge Port,  Texas to John Qunnie Wise and Pattie Morgan, the third of seven children. Ruth resided in the Carmichael area for the past 50 years. Once the Executive House Keeper for the Sacramento Inn. Hobbies included bowling, square dancing (Pathfinders) and gardening. A member of Carmichael Presbyterian Church. Ruth was a modern day Will Rogers as she never met anyone she didn't like. Ruth was preceded in death by husband Maurice A. McIntyre and daughter Hazel Jo Vegas. She is survived by a loving brother Donald Wise and wife Mimi, sons Gill McIntyre (Mardel), San Diego, Gary McIntyre, North Highlands. Grandchildren Glen Vegas (Sandi), Carmichael, Susan Gratner (Chuck), Mt. TANNEHILL, JOYCE D. 1918 - 2001 Born on Sept. 29, 1918 and passed away on October 21, 2001. She was a native Californian and the third generation of her family to be born in Oroville. Her great grandparents (Layson) came across the plains on a wagon train. She was a 60 year resident of the Roseville area. Joyce was a schoolteacher in the Arcade - San Juan School districts for 35 years. During this time she was active in many Masonic Organizations. She served as Guardian and Deputy Grand Guardian of Job's Daughters, was Past Matron of O.E.S. and also active in the  White Shrine and Amaranth. Preceded in death by her husband Thomas H. Tannehill. She is survived by her son Larry Tannehill of Roseville, daughter Lynn Bain of Panama City Florida, two grandchildren, Donald Bain, & wife Ruby, Lisa Gross, & husband Jerry and one great granddaughter, her sister Gloria Smith & brother in law Clayton and two nieces Corrine Foster, & husband Bill, Carol Burns & husband Ron. There will be no services as per her request; those who wish to make a remembrance may contribute to the local youth groups, which she always supported. She will be greatly missed.

TAVERNIER, BOYD D. Sept. 13, 1936-Oct. 24, 2000 OOFTA! Boyd D. Tavernier, 65, of Sacramento died Wednesday, October 24th. Boyd was a native of So. Dakota. He was a paving/construction contractor and manufacturer and a member of the Fremont Elks Lodge for 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Tavernier; son Rocky Tavernier; daughters Tina Tavernier and Cindy Meiggs; daughters-in-law Debbie Tavernier, Becky Giguere; son-in-law Mark Meiggs; and grandchildren Casey and Nicole Tavernier and Emma Meiggs; and 5 brothers and 2 sisters. WATERMAN, Donald James LT. COL. USAF (RET.) In Sacramento on October 25, 2001. A native of Connecticut. Aged 70 years. Beloved husband for 43 years of Trudy. Devoted father of David with wife Nancy, Mark with wife Susan and Scott with wife Kathleen Waterman, Patty with husband Doug Zylstra and Dawn Waterman with husband Bill Budd. Dear grandfather of 16. Loving brother of Ellen Layman. Preceded in death by his brother Robert. Mr. Waterman passed away after an 18-year battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He had 5000 flying hours in MAC, Air Rescue, SAC and served honorably in Vietnam, a member of Daedalions, Sons of the American Revolution, a Rotarian for 19 years and the Benefits Supervisor at Raleys until his retirement in 1995. ZENDER, (ERSKYNE) LORRAINE B. Age 78 in Sacramento, on October 24, 2001. A native of Gadsden, AL. and a Sacramento resident for 38 years. Beloved wife of LCDR Ralph J. (Zip) Zender, USN (Ret.); Loving mother of Kathryn (Kathy) Zender Di Minno and Margaret (Margo) Zender. Beloved "Gramzee" of Lea and Allyana Wiviott. Daughter of the late John Henry C. and Minnie Baker. Sister of Ralph Baker and the late James & Clyde Baker, Virginia Carr, Mary Franklin, and Geraldine Stancill. Also surviving are a number of nieces & nephews. Mrs. Zender served in the U.S. Navy Waves during WWII as a Chief Petty Officer at Pensacola, FL. She was a member of the Sacramento EX Waves, the Assoc. Officers Wives Club and Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation. REYNOLDS, MICHAEL J. In Sacramento October 16, 2001. Beloved husband of Laurie Reynolds. Loving father of Michael (Michelle), Mark (Melissa), Maximillian (Melanie), Melchizedek and Marcella (Jesse). Devoted grandfather of Christian and Josiah. Caring brother of Brenda and Richard Reynolds. Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends. Graveside services were private. ROWE, RICHARD ARTHUR Died Oct. 21, 2001 in Woodland at the age of 61. Born in Marysville, CA, March 8, 1940. Served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. Employed by Cal Trans as a Heavy Equipment Operator for 37 years. Loving husband of Sandra Lee Rowe of Woodland. Loving father of Brian (Kelly), Todd (Dawn), Scott (Michelle), & Paul (Debbie). A memorial service will be held at McNary's Chapel on Monday, Oct. 29, at 1PM. McNary's Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

SEARS, DONNA C. A great and magnificent spirit was released from the earth when Donna C. Sears left this life on October 23, 2001 in Sacramento. A native Californian, Donna was born on October 27, 1927 in Vallejo and spent her formative years in Antioch, where she graduated from Antioch High School and served as the Honored Queen of the Job's Daughters. She attended Sacramento City College where she met John Aubry Sears, who she married in 1949. While she delighted in raising her sons, she also found fulfillment in a career, first with the San Juan Unified School District, later as the Executive Director of the Sacramento College of Medical/Dental Technicians and finally with the Sacramento County Welfare Department, from which she retired in 1993. In retirement, she worked with the Senior Gleaners. She loved reading mysteries and solving word puzzles, especially her daily crossword and cryptaquote. She also enjoyed frequent trips to Reno with family and friends, but her passion was her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Donald B. and Thelma Cramer and her cherished husband, John. She is survived by her beloved companion Warren (Bud) Ford, adoring sister Doreen Parsons (Stanley, deceased), and cherished sons Jeffrey Sears (Cheryl Clark) and Gary Sears (Johanna), Britt Harden and Steven Ford (Joyce); beloved grandchildren Dmitri, Kristen, Amanda, Ethan and Emma Sears and Britt Erin Harden; cherished great-granddaughter Siobhan Kline; beloved nieces and nephews Donald Parsons, Cheryl Hawkins, Richard Parsons (Susan) and Linda McLaren (Jim); beloved grandnieces and nephews Aaron Parsons, Kelly McLaren, Daniel and Nathan Iniguez, Tammy Ingram (Josh), Jacqueline and Ricky Parsons, Cindy Jones, Krystal, Josh, Rebecca and Elizabeth Ingram also Adam and Matthew Odehnal. Mom had a heart that encompassed and accepted the entire world. With her special love and generous spirit, she touched all she met. She was "Auntie D" or "Grandma D" or 'Big Momma" to everyone who came into her home, attended her parties and enjoyed the wonderful meals she prepared. Her special love included daughter-in-law Kathy Hays, Deborah Parsons, Gary and Audrey Nichols, Laurie Weishahn, Edward and Julie Iniguez, Dale and Cher Grenie, David and Debbie Denham, Sarah and Emily Denham, Kathy Springer and Amala Easton. Her special friends and extended family are too numerous to list. A celebration of her life will by held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2001 at the chapel at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4300 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento California. RODRIGUE SR., RUSSELL J. In Rancho Cordova on October 28, 2001. Beloved husband of Mildred Rodrigue. Loving father of Russell J. Rodrigue, Jr. & Terry J. Rodrigue, Sr. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca, Terry Jr., Rochelle & Cyndi. Dearest great grandfather of 6. He retired Veteran of WWII, serving in the Air Force from 1937 to 1959. He also retired from the Rancho Cordova Post Office after 14 years. A resident of Rancho Cordova for 52 years. A native of New Iberia, LA. PERMAN, LOIS V. In Sacramento, October 21, 2001 due to a long illness. Born in 1927 in Wells, Minn. Attended U. of Minn. Resident of Sacramento for 44 years. Beloved wife of Harvey H. Perman, M.D. Mother of Guy, William, Barbara Protteau, and James. Loving grandmother of Emily, Will, Mike and Amanda Perman; Marcy and Christopher Protteau; Jessica, Jimmy and Lizzie Perman. Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services Thursday, October 25 at 1:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1615 Morse Ave. Visitation is 10 AM to 4 PM Wednesday at Harry A. ROBINSON, ALAN R. Passed away on October 23, 2001 after a lengthy illness. Alan was born in Albany, CA on March 12, 1936, the son of Maxine and Alan Robinson (deceased). The loving husband for 19 years of Christine. Father to Wayne Robinson of Andover, Kansas, Ronald Robinson (deceased), and Kathleen Mary  Schmidt of Witchita, Kansas. Grandfather to Craig Robinson, Kenneth, Kevin and Kendell  Schmidt and Tara Robinson. Stepfather to Michael Marsden, Kathleen Orr, Margaret Harrison, Elizabeth Ficker, and Martha Del Valle. He was a loving step-grandfather to 15 children. Alan retired from the retail area and was a resident of Sacramento for 25 years. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Presentation, 4123 Robertson Ave., Sacramento on Oct. 26th at 11AM.
