CLARENCE REGINALD THOMPSON

Mr. Thompson, 28, a Colorado Springs resident, died June 26, 2001, in Pueblo. He was a telemarketer.

Mr. Thompson was born Oct. 22, 1972, in Trenton, N.J.

He is survived by his father, Clarence Thompson; his mother, Sandra Anne (Nixon-Thompson) Rand; a brother, Richard W.; and two sisters, Jackie D. Gonzales and Janiece A. Thompson.

Private services will be held. Cappadona’s Alternative Funeral Services, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

SAM S. "SAMMY" HIROKAWA

Mr. Hirokawa, 88, died June 27, 2001, at his home in Fountain. He farmed in the Rocky Ford area from 1946 to 1967 and from 1967 to the m-d-70s in Rush. He was a landscape gardner for Widefield Homes.

Mr. Hirokawa was born June 16, 1913, in Winslow, Ariz. He was married February 1940 to Haruye Yunoki, who is deceased.

He is survived by three sons, Paul H., Gary and Dale; two daughters, Susan Fleetwood and Ann Hirokawa; two sisters, Kamiko Matsutani and Jane Nagaki; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Valley View Cemetery, Ordway.

DONALD A. BOVEE

Mr. Bovee, 58, died June 28, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a retired elementary school teacher. He taught at Stratton Elementary School for 24 years.

Mr. Bovee was born April 22, 1943, in Prescott, Ariz., to E.C. and Ethel E. (Boyd) Bovee. His father is deceased.

He is survived by his mother and a brother, Garry F. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Hotter.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. Entombment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Gate of Heaven Mausoleum.

JUAN FRANCISCO MARTINEZ

Mr. Martinez, 79, died June 27, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He retired in 1976 after 33 years as a civil service employee at the Pueblo Army Depot. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1945 and in World War II.

Mr. Martinez was born Feb. 20, 1922, in Costilla, N.M., to Juan B. and Felonisia (Romero) Martinez, who are deceased. He was married June 14, 1946, to Mary Medina, who is deceased.

He is survived by four sons, Clyde, Jon R., Anthony Ray and Michael Devon; four daughters, Betty Bunts, Maria Sayer, June Bausman and Jane Hooks; two brothers, Gilbert and Elfego; three sisters, Rose Garbiso, Jenny Maes and Orbelia Medina; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Emma Martinez; a brother, Ignacio; a sister, Pauline; and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 331 Main St., Security. Entombment will be at Shrine of Remembrance.

JANET G. MILLER

Janet, 64, died June 25, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was president of Air Academy Credit Union after working for it for 36 years.

Janet was born Dec. 25, 1936, in Topeka, Kan., to Harold Guy and Doris Aurelia (Croll) Nash, who are deceased.

She is survived by a son, Michael D.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Keith Nash; and a sister, Martha Brooke Miller.

Private services and burial will be held. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling arrangements.

CHRISTOPHER "KIT" MARLEY

Mr. Marley, 52, died June 26, 2001, in Ramah. He was a construction worker.

Mr. Marley was born Sept. 8, 1948, in Snyder, Texas, to A.R. Marley and Vita Grubbs, who are deceased.

He is survived by his companion, Sandy Weaver; a son, Christopher; a daughter, Tiffany Valentine; a stepson, Tim Grudle; four stepdaughters, Marilee Papale, Venis Ruff, Tanya Churchwell and Katie McKean; a brother, David; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Love Funeral Home Inc., 225 F Ave., Limon, (719) 775-2333. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Love Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calhan Cemetery, Calhan.

EDITH ROBINSON

Mrs. Robinson, 93, died June 26, 2001, at a local care center. She was a salesperson for Hibbards Department Store Credit Bureau.

Mrs. Robinson was born Aug. 5, 1907, in Topeka, Kan., to Gustave and Matilda (Brattstram) Carlson, who are deceased. She was married May 28, 1928, to Delbert W. Robinson, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Keith W.; two daughters, Dorothy Hall and Sue Fleming; a sister, Louise Henderson; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Nicheside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Rose Gardens, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597.

ROBERT F. DEAN

Mr. Dean, 71, died June 23, 2001, in Yoder. He was an auto mechanic.

Mr. Dean was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Hoyt. He was married May 1, 1955, to Betty J. Lawless.

He is survived by his wife; four sons, Randall, Richard, Rodd and Rory; a daughter, Ronda Yearby; a sister, Sue Bell; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ron Lee; his father, Willard Dean; his mother, Elma Mays; and his stepfather, Lloyd Mays.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. A private family inurnment is planned. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, is handling arrangements.

JOSEPH FRANCIS TUTTLE

Mr. Tuttle, 81, died June 26, 2001, at a local hospital. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force and as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Tuttle was born April 20, 1920, in St. Louis, to Louis and Sarah, who are deceased. He was married June 3, 1951, to Gloria Shapiro.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Barbara Carroll; a sister, Bess Ellman; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Beth; two brothers, John and David; and a sister, Mary.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N. Cascade Ave. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

FRANCELIA "SALLY" THURBER

Sally, 64, died June 24, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a technical writer for TRW, worked at First National Bank, was a court reporter with the El Paso District Court and the District Attorney's Office, all in Colorado Springs. She served in the Army for two years as a WAC, a stenographer at the Pentagon.

Sally was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Newport, Vt., to Wendel W. and Maude (Still) Thurber, who are deceased.

She is survived by a brother, Benjamin W. "Ben"; and two sisters, Elizabeth "Judy" "Liz" Thurber and Lannie Poor. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Larry; and two sisters, Vicki Browne and Rachael Wizzle.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Cappadona's Family Center, 3133 N. El Paso St., 520-1817.

DOROTHY JOANN WILLIAMS

Mrs. Williams, 59, died June 26, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Williams was born Oct. 17, 1941, in Seldon, Kan. She was married in 1986 to Wayne D. Williams.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Randy Harris; a daughter, Tracy Jensen; her mother, Daisey Wilcox Foxhaven; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle S. Wilcox Sr.; two brothers, Lyle S. Wilcox Jr. and Charles L. Wilcox; and a sister, Carolyn L. Wilcox.

A private burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608, is handling arrangements.

NELLIE H. LIVINGSTON

Mrs. Livingston, 90, a former Colorado Springs resident, died June 25, 2001, in Littleton. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Livingston was born July 25, 1910, in Wadley, Ala., to John W. and Ollie B. (Perry) Holdridge, who are deceased. She was married to John A. Livingston, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, John H.; two daughters, Susan L. Jacobs and Sandra Boehler; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be at a later date. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum "America the Beautiful" Rose Gardens, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597.

RONALD ALAN "RON" TUCKER

Mr. Tucker, 44, died June 22, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a private investigator and served in the Army.

Mr. Tucker was born July 31, 1956, in Pueblo to Charles and Martha (Stieglitz) Tucker.

He is survived by two sons, Ronnie and Richard; two daughters, Samantha and Daisey; his parents; three sisters, Janet Guerrero, Carolyn Scheiber and Melisa Tucker; and his companion, Pamela Finley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Otto James.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cappadona's Family Center, 3133 N. El Paso St., 520-1817.
