Brooks, Katherine Ann

Katherine Ann Roginski-Brooks, known to family and friends as Kathy, went to be with the Lord on April 24th in Frederica, DE, she was 75 years old. She was born on July 31st, 1937 in Plymouth Township, PA to Leo and Lillian Roginski. She graduated from Jackson Ross HS in Lehman, PA; she received an award in Home Economics in 1955. She then married and moved to Delaware. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Leonard, and his wife, Francis Roginski.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Trixie Harris of Hawaii, daughter, Arnett Luce and her husband, Mark, and Grandson, Joshua Luce of Colorado. She is also mourned by her brother, Frank, and his wife, Joan Roginski, brother, Joe, and his wife, Maureen Roginski, sister, Marie Roginski, as well as nieces and nephews from Pennsylvania.

She graduated with honors from Delaware Technical Community College, receiving an Associate's degree in Data Processing Technology. She also received the designation of Certified Property Manager, and worked in that field for a number of years. She worked at various other positions before finding work at the Delaware Department of Transportation as a typist. She achieved the title of Certified Herbal Information Specialist, and went on to establish a business known as the Misty Morning & More.

She then designed a Greenhouse heating system and authored a book to explain the system. She also held the position of President of the Delaware Herb Growers and Marketing Associations, as well as the position of Treasurer for the Organic Growers and Farming Association of DE. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Joshua, and loved children. She worked as a teacher of nature, educating people at the Abbots Mill Nature Center.

A memorial service for Kathy will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 3PM at the Pippin Funeral Home located at 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave, Wyoming, DE. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Felton Fire Department or the Hope Fellowship Church.

Case, Jr., William M.

William M. Case, Jr. passed away April 16, 2013 in his home.

William is survived by his father William Case, stepmother Georgeanna Shumaker, two sisters Jeannie Chilcoate (Warren), Vicki Herring, a brother Christopher Case, aunt Marge Taylor, two nephews Jason Case (Brandi) Brian Kenny, a niece Alicia Kenny.

A gathering of remembrance will be 6-7:00 pm Tuesday, April 30 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Colmorgen, Alice P.

Alice P. Colmorgen passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 in Milford Memorial Hospital. She was 81.

Alice was born on September 21, 1930 in New York, NY, daughter of the late William and Pauline (Waltz) Bennett.

She had worked as a telephone operator for the Delaware Home and Hospital for over 20 years, retiring in 2006.

Alice is preceded in death by her only son Gerald W. Conner who was killed in Vietnam in 1968.

She is survived by her caregiver and adopted son in love Kenneth Wright of Houston.

Services are private.

Helker, George R.

George R. Helker, 63, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on July 8, 1948 to the late Jeanne and Robert F. Helker. He was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School Class of 1966. George stared in football and track was a state record holder for the Discus. He went on to the University of Delaware and was a member of the Blue Hen Football Team. His love of golf followed him through his life playing at every chance and all over the world. He was a Vietnam Veteran, honorable discharged Nov. 28, 1972 with rank of SSG in the United States Air Force. George worked and retired from AT&T; latter working with MCI/Federal Government/Concert and most recently with Citi holding a position of VP of credit card operations worldwide. He was preceded in death by his parents Jeanne and Robert F. Helker, his wife Marie and daughter in law Joslyn. He is survived by his younger brother Edward F. Helker of Middletown, his daughter Nicole and her husband Ryan Kachmar of New Castle, stepson Kevin Callahan and his wife Kerri and grandchildren Austin and Ella all of Petersburgh, VA. George was recently engaged to Diane Chambers of Arlington, TX.

Friends and family may call Sunday, January 22 between 5 and 7 pm at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Dr., Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.

Severson, Laura "Diane"

Fire Department

Laura "Diane" Severson, of Leipsic, passed away at home with her family and friends by her side on Friday January 13, 2012. She was 65.

She was born in Dover, the daughter of Anna E. Severson, of Dover, and the late Lee D. Severson. She was a 1964 graduate of John Bassett Moore High School, Smyrna.

Diane worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Pugh's Service, Dover, for over 20 years.

She was an active member of the Leipsic Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, joining on May 26, 1987, and served as Vice President from 1991-94 and President from 1995-2012. She also was a member of the Kent County Ladies Auxiliary, and served as its President from 2007-2009, 1st Vice President from 2005-2007, and as 2nd Vice President from 2003-2005.

Diane was currently serving as an elected member of the Leipsic Town Council, and was a member of Roby United Methodist Church, Leipsic.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her longtime companion of 39 years, Horace Pugh, of Leipsic; she was a mother to Craig D. Pugh and wife Joanne, and Mark Pugh and wife Patricia, all of Leipsic; she was a grandmother to Matthew, Danielle, and Taylor Pugh; four brothers, Lee C. Severson and wife Audrey, of Clayton; John K. Severson and companion Bev, of Milford; Benjamin L. Severson and wife Beverly, of Clayton; and Vincent M. "Tinker" Severson and wife Diane E., of Dover; 11 nieces and nephews; and 13 great-nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday January 19 at the Leipsic Vol. Fire Co., 318 Main St., Leipsic, where friends may call at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Roby Methodist Cemetery, Leipsic.

If desired, contributions may be sent to the Leipsic Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, 318 Main St., Leipsic, DE 19901; or Seasons Hospice, 556 South DuPont Blvd., Ste. 101, Milford, DE 19963.

Arrangements are by Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Smyrna.

Frances Immediato

"Sugar"

Age 75, of New Castle, DE passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2004 at Christiana Hospital of complications from leukemia.

Mrs. Immediato loved fishing, gardening, and taking care of her three ponds.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Sturgis, who also passed from leukemia twelve years ago, and her son-in-law, Dave.

She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Tulini and her husband, Ennio, of Texas, her daughter, Darlene Mele who cared for her throughout her illness, and her husband, Michael, her son, Larry Immediato and his wife, Cindy, all of New Castle. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Alfie, Charlotte, Toni, Michele, Shannon, Heather, Michael, Ashley and Katie; and six great grandchildren, Hollie, Amanda, Pete, Max, Marissa and Allissa.

Services and burial will be held on Saturday, June 5th at 11 AM at the chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. Dupont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Commerce Bank of New Castle, 82 Christiana Road, New Castle, DE 19720.

Riley, Sr, Walter S

Army

Walter S. Riley, Sr. 70, Houston, passed away Sunday January 15, 2012 at Milford Memorial Hospital Milford.

He was born on June 14, 1941 in Lewistown, PA to the late Raymond C.and Whilimina Walters Riley.

He was a member of Milford First Baptist Church in Milford, DE. He was a graduate of Bible College in Springfield, MO and became a ordain Minister. He worked for the City of Dover at the Power Plant Dept. for 20 years. He was a Army veteran. he is preceded in death by his daughter Donna Riley in 1994.

He is survived by his Wife of 48 years, Hazel Riley of Houston, DE. Son and his wife, Walter S. and Sandra Riley, Jr. of Wilmington, DE. Son and his wife, Timothy and Tracie Riley of Houston, DE. Daughter and her husband, Janelle and Justin Hobbs of Milford, DE. Grandchildren, Joshua Riley, Shawn Riley, Riley Wade, Aliene Wade, Austin Hobb.

Remembrance Services will be held Friday 01/20/2012 11 AM at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover, DE

Friends may call Thursday 01/19/2012 6 PM to 8 PM at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover.
