Tweed, Norman Evans

Dover - Norman Evans Tweed, of Dover, passed away Monday, Jan.16, 2012 in his home.

He was 80. Born October 20, 1931, to the Late Norman & Anita(Lesley) Tweed, in Newark, DE.

Norman, "Biscuit" or "The Fonz", as he was known, spent most of his life in Newark, before moving to Dover, in 2002.

He had various jobs throughout his life. Norm had worked for the B & O Railroad; Richards Dairy, in Newark, for over 20 years; the Chrysler Corp. for 27 years, and then State of Delaware for 10 years, before retiring in 2002.

Mr. Tweed enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was very meticulous in taking care of his lawn. He was a Member of the United Auto Workers Union; and his family was his life.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister- Thelma Suppi.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Lucille(Martin) Tweed; 2 Sons- Randy Evans Tweed and his wife-Denise, of Medina, Ohio; and Craig Allen Tweed, of Bear. His sister- Anita Buckley, of Arkansas; 2 Grandsons, a Granddaughter, 2 Great-Grandsons, and a Great-Granddaughter; along with several nieces, nephews, and his faithful companion- Panda.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan.20, 2012 at 8 pm, in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave. Wyoming, where friends may gather from 7 to 8 pm.In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Family Christian Radio.

Donald Clark

Dover - Donald Clark died Saturday, January 14th at Kent General Hospital. He was born December 10, 1964 to Dempsey Clarence and Lida Clark in Milford, Delaware. He often worked as a carpenter. A longtime resident of Dover, Donald had recently taken to living in Virginia the last few years.

Donald will have a viewing on Saturday, Jan. 21st from 6-7PM, with services starting at 7PM, at the Pippin Funeral Home in Wyoming, DE. Following services, Donald will be cremated. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to help defer the cost of the funeral services.

Penney, Tegan Deanna

Tegan Deanna Penney passed away Wednesday January 11, 2012. She was 18.

Tegan was born on October 28, 1993 in Dover, Delaware, daughter of Bart and Amy Fifer Penney. She was a senior at Polytech High School, Woodside, and planning on attending the University of Delaware in the fall. She was currently volunteering at CR Pets in Rodney Village. Tegan was a strong, independent young woman who was adored by all her friends, was always there for them and gave them the confidence that they couldn't give themselves. She loved being a big sister and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved reading, cupcakes, 4 leaf clovers, rainbows, and anime. She always expressed her individuality and definitely had her own style. Her faith led her to appreciate the beauty and rhythms of nature. Tegan loved thunderstorms and solitude. She loved to write stories and poetry, and enjoyed photography, especially photographing wild mushrooms, her cat, and herself. She will be greatly missed as we celebrate her life and she goes on to her next great adventure.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister Miranda Penney, maternal grandparents John and Connie Fifer of Camden, paternal grandmother Ruth Penney of Parsonsburg, MD, maternal great grandmother Wilma Fifer of Dover, a great aunt Carole Findley of Woodside, an aunt Patricia Penney of Parsonsburg, MD, a cousin J.C. McPherson and an extended family of friends and classmates.

A celebration of Tegan's life will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19 at the Calvary Assembly of God, 1141 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where guests will be received beginning at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Forgotten Cats, Inc., Suite 422, 4023 Kennett Pike, Greenville, DE 19807.

Habich, Charles Aud

Charles Aud Habich, 95, of Salisbury, died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Salisbury Center Genesis Elder Care. Born in Cecilia, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Frank L. and Genarose A. Habich. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Elizabeth Miller Habich.

Mr. Habich graduated from the University of Louisville with a BS degree in engineering and took additional course work at Harvard. He served as a 1st Lieutenant in World War II and received Philippines Liberation medal with 2 stars, American Theater Service Medal Asiatic-Pacific service medal and victory medal. He retired from Hercules, Inc., in 1984 but continued as a private consultant. He was a licensed professional engineer. Memberships include: Men of Malvern, ISA Professional Engineer Organization, Rose Society, he was an avid rose grower, and the University of Delaware Academy of Life Long Learning.

He is survived by a son, Charles Aud Habich Jr. of Williamsburg, VA; a daughter, Virginia E. Habich of Salisbury, MD; a sister, Lura Bayne Habich of Louisville, KY; four nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Mumma.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 29, 2004 at 11 AM at St. Francis Renewal Center. Father Tom Pietrantonio will officiate.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to St. Francis Renewal Center, 1901 Prior Rd., Wilmington, DE 19809 or Malvern Retreat House, 315 Warren Ave., Malvern, PA. 19355-0315.

Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804.

John J. Hadfield

(Jack)

John J. Hadfield, "Jack" died on March 2, 2007, at home.

Loving husband, father and Pop-Pop, Jack was well known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor. Jack and his wife, Pat, first became sweethearts at Brown Vocational High School in Wilmington and were married 53 happy years. They delighted in raising and spending time with their 4 children and 7 grandchildren while remaining in Wilmington. Pat and Jack enjoyed bowling in Claymore and Midcounty Bowling Leagues, taking an occasional cruise and watching game shows. Jack served in the Army during the Korean War and later worked as a union electrician for IBEW Local 313, retiring after 40 years of service.

Jack leaves behind his wife, Pat Hadfield; brother, Thomas Hadfield and wife, Mae; sisters, Elsie Brady and Thomasine Morrison; step-sister, Phyllis Young; children, John Hadfield, Holly Hadfield Aguilar, Paul Hadfield and his wife, Beth and Julie Hadfield and her husband, John Neifert; grandchildren, Meghan Muzzi, Will Muzzi, Justin Muzzi, Julianna Aguilar, Paul Hadfield, Jr., Lydia Hadfield and Dylan Hadfield.

A gathering will be held on Tuesday, March 6, at MEALEY'S FUNERAL HOME, Limestone and Milltown Roads. Visiting hours are 6-8 pm, with a memorial service at 8 pm. Jack's ashes will be interred at the Veteran's Cemetery in Bear, DE.

Contributions may be made in Jack's memory to the Helen Graham Cancer Treatment Center, Christiana Hospital Campus, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Suite 2200, Newark, DE 19713.

Robinson, Joseph F.

Joseph F. Robinson of Wyoming passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford after a long battle with cancer. He was 60.

Joe was born on June 3, 1951, in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York, son of the late Peter A. Robinson, Sr. and Helen S. Robinson.

He was a remodeling and home improvement contractor, operating as American Home Work since 2002.

Joe's passion was music. He began singing and playing guitar as a child. He played with Sounds Unlimited during his high school years. His participation in the 1st Dover All-Stars Reunion Concert marked his return to music. Beginning in 2007, he performed with the classic rock band, The DRAW as lead vocalist and rhythm guitar player, appearing in venues throughout Delaware, Eastern Shore of Maryland, and southeastern Pennsylvania.

He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of Union Lodge #7 A.F. & A.M.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lori Benvin of Bayville, Long Island, New York, and his father-in-law, John R. Holland of Petersburg.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Jacquelyn Robinson; brother, Peter A. Robinson, Jr. and Barbara Robinson of Camden; mother-in-law, Joan Holland of Petersburg; sisters-in-law Carolyn Burris and Robert T. Burris, Jr. of Sandtown, Jeanne and David Tofts of Newark, brother-in-law Phillip Benvin of Bayville, NY, and nieces and nephews, Kim and Chris Perry of Oakton, , VA, Robin and Michael Hunter of Springfield, VA, Robert T. Burris, III, Kelsey Burris and Tristin Burris of Sandtown, DE, Spencer Tofts, Webster Tofts, Regan Tofts, and Hayden Tofts of Newark, DE, Jeff Krawchuck, Michael Krawchuck, Melissa Krawchuck and Tara Benvin of Bayville, NY.

Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 21 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 North Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140-4131.

Indellini, Barry W.

Barry W. Indellini Age 36 went home to be with His Lord on Wednesday, April 30, 2003.

Barry was a lifelong resident of New Castle. He attended the William Penn High School and was employed at Denny's restaurant as a chef for the last 12 years. Barry was a wonderful son, brother and uncle. He had many friends and would not hesitate to help others. He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends. Barry was an avid Eagles football fan and he always enjoyed the rivalry with his brother, Bill, who was a Cowboy's fan.

Barry is survived by his parents, Michael and Julie Indellini of New Castle; his fiance, Mary Jane Alley; his sisters, Debra Murphy and her companion, Michael White and her daughters, Danielle, Jamie and Brandy; Bridget Paris and her husband, Steven and their children, Simon, Leah and Lindsay; Elizabeth Orlando and her daughter, Paige; Sharon Orlando of Ft. Meyers, FL; and Teresa Orlando of Buffalo, NY; his brother, William Indellini and his companion, Fran Wardell and her son, Robert and his children, Amanda and Nicole; brothers, Michael, Kenny and Robert Masten; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Barry is also survived by his dog, Smokey; and his cats, Sniffy and Jazzy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 5th & Harmony Sts., New Castle on Tuesday morning, May 6 at 10 am. Friends may call Monday evening, May 5 from 6-8 pm at the Krienen Funeral Home, 34 W. 6th St., New Castle. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. Peter's Work Force, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, DE 19720.
