ROBERT S. WRIGHT

Robert Wright, born October 23, 1926 in Willow Grove, passed away on January 22, 2011 at

Kent General after a long illness. He was 84.

Robert was a veteran of WW II. Robert was a brick and stone mason for 50+ years. He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church of Dover and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with family and watching baseball. While living at Luther Towers he enjoyed participating in the social activities and talking to the other residents.

Robert was proceeded in death by a son Robert (Dukie), his wife Elizabeth (Sis), a sister Helen Melvin and a brother Lyman Wright.

He is survived by his son Bruce and wife Lynn Wright of Smyrna; a granddaughter Christina Wright of Smyrna; a brother Louis and his wife Leona Wright of Petersburg; a sister Hilda and her husband Bo Bosien of Houston, TX and a host of nieces and newphews.

Services will be Friday, January 28, 2011 at Trinity Wesleyan at 12 noon, where friends may call from 11 am - 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, contribution can be made to the Trinity Wesleyan Churych, 1564 South State Street Ext., Dover DE 19901.

Legar, LeRoy B.

LeRoy B. Legar, 91, Dover, passed away Saturday January 22, 2011 at his home with his loving family.

He was born on April 05, 1919 in Dover, DE to the late Roy and Ida Bishop Legar.

He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church Dover for over 65 years and was a church board member serving as treasure, Sunday school superintendent, and church trustee for over 35 years. On April 5, 2009 on his 90th birthday he was presented with a plaque for his outstanding dedication and service to Trinity Wesleyan Church. He was also presented with a tribute from the State of Delaware House of Representatives that stated "To a special man on the joyous occasion of celebration of his 90th birthday."

Mr. Legar was both a dairy and grain farmer in his younger years while also working part time either as a school bus driver for the Capital School District, a delivery truck driver transporting chickens to Wilmington for Pizzadeli's or delivering newspapers for the Delaware State News. After retiring from farming, he worked full time for Capital School Distract as a custodian and then Southern States Cooperative as a fuel truck driver for 10 years and in Oct. 27, 1981 he was given the employee of the year award from the Company. After retirement from Southern States Mr. Legar worked part time at Fifer's Orchard's and then at Wilson's Auction until the age of 87 for 25 years. Mr. Legar was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed plowing the fields on his tractor, gardening, spending time with his family and friends and attending various church activities. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Irene Legar, grandson David Lee Wilson, 2 sisters, and 2 bothers.

He is survived by his Wife of 4 years, Muriel E. Minner Legar of Dover, DE. Daughter and her husband, Janet I. and Tom Spencer of Clayton, DE. Daughter and her husband, Carolyn D. and David Wilson of Lincoln, DE. Son and his wife, Richard L. and Diane Legar of Dover, DE. 8, Grandchildren, 4, Great grand children.

Remembrance Services will be held Thursday 01/27/2011 1 PM at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Dover, DE. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover, DE

Friends may call also call Thursday 01/27/2011 from 11 AM till 1 PM at the Trinity Wesleyan Church in Dover

Sapp, David B.

David B. Sapp, 47, Dover, passed away Monday January 24, 2011 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital Philadelphia.

He was born on July 17, 1963 in Dover, DE to Edwin and Lucy Gray Sapp.

He was a member of He was a painter and worked for contractors in the area for over 25 years. He worked for the City of Dover at one time. He is preceded in death by his wife Stephanie Alberts Sapp in Jan. 2011, father Edwin L Sapp in 2007, and his two grandmothers Ima Gray in 2006, Louise M. Sapp in 2008.

He is survived by mother, L. Inez Sapp of Dover, DE. Brother, Russell Sapp of, . Brother and his wife, Janson and Candice Sapp of San Diego, CA. Daughter, Angel Sapp of Dover, DE. Step Daughter, Danielle Young of Milford, DE. Fiance, Amber Hallett of Dover, DE. Grandson, Caden Bennett, Granddaughter, Alicia Young, Granddaughter, Ni-Liah Tilghman. two nieces, Angie Sapp and Madison Carroll of Camden, DE, Nephew Jonas Sapp of San Diego, CA

Jester, Floyd Larry

Floyd "Larry" Jester, Jr., 57, Dover, passed away Saturday January 22, 2011 at KGH Bay Health Dover.

He was born on March 14, 1953 in Dover, DE to Floyd and Mary Moore Jester, Sr.

He graduated from Dover High School in 1972. He worked at DAFB in maintaince. He enjoyed NASCAR and going down to the races at the Del-Mar track. He is preceded in death by his father Floyd L. Jester, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Mary H. Jester of Dover, DE. Brother and his wife, John and Nancy Jester of Felton, DE. Niece, Harley Jester of Felton, DE. Nephew, John C. Jester of Felton, DE.

Friends may call Sat. 01/29/2011 10 AM to 12 PM at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover.

Burial service will be at the convenience of the family.

Wroten, Patricia

HARRINGTON — Patricia A. Wroten, of Harrington, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at the Milford Hospice Center, surrounded by her family. She was 70.

Mrs. Wroten was a telephone operator for Bell telephone for many years. After retirement, she worked for Disney World during the winter months while staying in her winter home.

In her spare time, she enjoyed ceramics, making and collecting porcelain dolls, and collecting Disney memorabilia. She enjoyed spending her time at the beach in the summer and Florida in the winter. She loved to window shop and enjoyed a good sale.

She will be remembered as a quiet soft spoken woman who had a strong will. Her family was her life, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be forever missed.

Mrs. Wroten was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and the Harrington High Alumni.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Bonniwell of Harrington; and brother, Raymond "Baby Ray" Bonniwell.

In addition to mother, Frances Bonniwell, she is survived by her loving husband, Lewis K. Wroten of Harrington; sons and daughter-inlaw, Randy and Robin Wroten of Greenwood, and Steven Wroten of Laurel; brothers, Robert Bonniwell and wife Sue of Dover, and Larry Bonniwell and wife Pat of Seaford; sisters, Rose Bishop of Harrington, Linda McBride and husband Kevin of New Bern, N.C., and Barbara Cox and husband Dennis of Harrington; and four grandchildren, Scott, Brittany, Laurie Beth and Taylor.

Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.

Stanley B. Podczasy

Army

Age 88, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Heartland Hospice House.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Stanley was the son of the late John and Victoria (Kramarcezk) Podczasy. He served his country proudly in the US Army during World War II. Afterward, he was employed by Chrysler Corporation as an electrician, retiring in 1989. His wife, Doris A. (Danilowicz) Podczasy, predeceased him in 1996.

He is survived by his daughters, Anne Podczasy of Wilmington and Eileen Olimpo and her husband, Oreste, of Doylestown, PA; three grandchildren, Isabella, Trey and Gianna; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 2nd at 11 AM at St. Hedwig's Church, Linden and S. Harrison Streets, Wilmington. Friends and family are invited to visitation Wednesday morning between 9 and 10 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.

Denise M. McFadden

Age 51, of Wilmington, DE, passed away tragically on Thursday, January 27, 2011.

Born in Wilmington, Denise was the daughter of James and Nancy (Corcoran) McFadden. She was a 1977 graduate of Padua Academy, where she was one of the senior captains of the track team. She also graduated from Delaware Technical and Community College with a degree in dental hygiene. She worked for more than 20 years as a dental hygienist with Ignacio Gispert, DDS. Denise was a member of the Brandywine YMCA, where she trained every morning before going to work. She was an avid runner, marathoner, and triathlete, participating in countless races, including the New York, Boston, and Marine Corps Marathons, the Dewey Beach and Osprey sprint triathlons, the Caesar Rodney Half Marathon, and the Bike to the Bay.

She will be dearly missed by her parents, James and Nancy McFadden; her siblings, Karen, Jimmy and his wife Laura, Kevin, Ann Louise Malizia and her husband Donny, and Maureen, all of Wilmington, Brian, of Hollywood, MD, and Jeanne, of Washington, DC; and her niece Lauren Malizia and nephews Graham McFadden and Brian, Dominic, and James Malizia.

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Monday, January 31, between 6 and 8 PM at St. Helena's Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 1, at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery, Greenville, DE.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Brandywine YMCA, 3 Mt. Lebanon Road, Wilmington, DE 19803 or to Padua Academy, 905 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE 19806.
