O'Donnell, Sadie Gertie
Sadie Gertie O'Donnell, age 80, of New Castle, DE, went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 9, 2007. Sadie was a member of Ogletown Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a manager at Carl Cobins Shoe Store. Sadie enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and listening to Gospel music.
Sadie leaves to cherish her memory her son Anthony "Tony" O'Donnell and his wife Bessie; daughter Judy Twardowski and her husband Richard; brother, Woodrow Taylor; 5 sisters: Mary Owens, Ocie Watkins, Effie Prag, Beatrice Brown, and Shirley Beckner; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Elsie Taylor; husband, Edward O'Donnell;a daughter-in-law Barbara; 1 grandson; 4 brothers and 1 sister.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 13, 2007 from 10-11 AM in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Sadie's life at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Sadie's memory to Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown-Stanton Rd., Newark, DE 19713.
Kaczorowski, Jennifer Lynn
Jennifer Lynn Kaczorowski, 27, passed away Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, in her home.
She was born on June 25, 1983, in Abilene, Texas.
Jennifer graduated from Lake Forest, Class of 2001, where she was in the Band. She also played softball for Felton Little League. She previously worked as a technician for the Renal Care Center of Dover. She was a devoted mother.
She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Regina Kaczorowski of Felton; a daughter, Katelyn Carrizales of home; a brother, David and his wife Aimee of Frederica; maternal grandfather Angelo Vacchelli and his wife Barbara of North Hampton, Mass.; two uncles, Anthony Vacchelli and his wife Debra of Dover, Raymond Kaczorowski and wife Patricia of Westminster, Md.; an aunt, JoAnn Rasinski and her husband Robert of Baltimore, Md.; and many cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
Although flowers are appreciated, the family requests donations to Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE 19934 to help with expenses.
Mildred C. (Crossgrove) Taggart
Lifelong Wilmington resident, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital on Wednesday, October 20, 2004, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Taggart attended St. Paul's Grade/Commerical School, from which she graduated.
Mrs. Taggart worked at Art Craft Electric Supply for 25 years before her retirement in 1969, and became a full time homemaker. She was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church since 1970.
Mrs. Taggart was the daughter of the late Albert T. Crossgrove and Sophia (O'Connor) Crossgrove and the sister of the late Vera Crossgrove. Her husband, Joseph Clyde Taggart, predeceased her in 1998.
She is survived by her son, Joseph M. Taggart, with whom she lived. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at 11 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation after 10 AM at the church on Tuesday morning. Interment will be at Cathedral Cemetery in Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.
Nancy Lee Reynolds, 65
Milford - Nancy Lee Reynolds, of Miford, was called home to the Lord Thursday, November 18, 2010.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1944 in Dover, Delaware, the daughter of Raymond and Nancy Morris. nancy is preceded in death by her husband, James Reynolds, and her siblings, Peggy Morris Hobbs, Raymond Henry Morris, Anna Mae Morris Hodges, and Kay Morris Coleman. She is survived by her three children, Liscinda "Cindy" Bowlin Foresteri and her husband John, William Allen Bowlin, and Nancy "Missy" Michelle Jefferson and her husband William; as well as two surviving sisters Linda Morris Levan, and Joan Morris Borel. She is also survived by her grandchildren Erica Roberts, Frank Willey, C.J. Willey, Casey Heathman, Gordy Heathman, Kelsey Jefferson, and Alicia Strack; as well as three great-grandchildren, Oran and Aiden Crossan, and C.J. Wiilley, Jr. ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Pippin Funeral Home 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming on Tuesday Nov. 23, with a viewing from 4:00 to 5:00, and services following immediately thereafter.
Mitchell, Clara E. Smith
Clara E. Smith Mitchell of Dover passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 64.
Clara was born on February 25, 1946 in Dover, Delaware, daughter of the late Ellis and Viola (Scott) Flamer.
She worked as a housekeeper for the Comfort Inn for 20 years.
Clara enjoyed dancing and being with her family. She was a member of the African Union Methodist Church, Felton.
She is also preceded in death by two daughters Donna Summers and Brenda Summers.
She is survived by three children Denise Summers, Sonya Hannah and Linden Summers, Jr., four sisters Shirley Stevens and her husband William, Joyce Scott and her husband Leven, Cora Johnson and her husband John, and Patricia Taylor and her husband Leslie, a brother Maurice Scott and his wife Sharlene, foster brother Edward Dixon, 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Service will be 12 noon Monday, November 22 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Williamsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the funeral home to help with expenses.
Burchenal, Caleb Lockwood
Army
Caleb Lockwood Burchenal of Dover passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 in his home. He was 97.
Caleb was born on July 1, 1913 son of the late Hyland and Florence Dunn Burchenal.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII. Caleb graduated from Caesar Rodney High School, Class of 1933. He owned and operated Burchenal Oil in Wyoming which he started in 1944 and which continues today.
Caleb was a life long member of the Odd Fellows in Camden and was a charter member of the Dover Elks.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Caleb is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Pauline Burchenal in 1999 and a daughter Sandra Burchenal in 2005.
He is survived by his son Terry Burchenal and his wife Shari of Dover and a daughter Sue Gray, and her husband Larry of Woodside, four grandchildren Paula Pokorny of Camden, Kristin Subrick of Lewes, Laurie Hake of Woodside and Brooke Bembenek and six great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11 am Tuesday, November 23 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

Rynkowski, Regina
Regina Rynkowski, 76, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 in her home.
She was born on February 10, 1934 in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Paul and Ann Connor.
Regina retired after 25 years service at the Delaware State Hospital.
She enjoyed nature and animals and also feeding the birds and squirrels.
Regina is preceded in death by her husband Henry Rynkowski.
Regina is survived by her daughter Deborah J. Farra of Magnolia, a son Dr. Bill Roberts and his wife Sharon of Magnolia, four brothers Larry Connor and his wife Dot of Newark, Jackie Connor and his wife Helen of Newark, Jimmie Connor and his wife Sharon of Newark, and Paul Webb and his wife Kathleen of Laurel, a sister Marian Bruestle of Middletown, two grandsons Anthony T. Roberts of Magnolia and Rev. Billy Roberts and his wife Christiana of Magnolia and six great grandchildren
A memorial service will be held on Sat. January 1 at 2:00 PM at New Life Family Worship Center 226 Worship Lane, Camden DE.
Burial is private.
