Littleton, Russell D.

Russell D. Littleton, 60, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 at home.

He was born September 25, 1950, son of the late Charles and Lillias (Moore) Littleton.

Russell had worked for 40 years as a surveyor for Charles D. Murphy and Associates, Richardson-McCann and most recently for Murphy Associates.

He was known as a homebody, and enjoyed fishing, gardening and tinkering.

Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Roger Littleton.

Russell is survived by his daughter Kristine Langley and her husband Christopher of Frederica, two sisters Alice Queen and her husband Bobby of Milford and Norma Littleton of Frederica, nephew Robert Queen and his wife Jocelyn of Frederica, niece Pamela Queen-Perry and her husband Earl of Houston, three great nieces and one great nephew and an extended family of friends.

Services will be 1 pm Thursday, December 30 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

Rieger, Benjamin J.
Hughes, Nathaniel

Benjamin J. Rieger, 29, and Nathaniel Hughes, 11, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born on December 21, 1980, in Hawaii.

Benjamin was self employed as a framing contractor. He loved to laugh and his laughter would shine through to others. He treasured his special time with his father and brother on fishing trips and family time at the holidays. He especially loved his aunts and uncles in New Jersey. He took pride in being a good father and had an unconditional love for his sons and family. The family is thankful for being Christians, knowing God will get them through this tough time.

He is survived by his parents Richard L. Rieger, Sr. and Michaela Rieger of Felton, a brother Army St.Richard L. Rieger, Jr.of Korea, two sisters Brooke L. Rieger of Harrington and Brittany M. Rieger of Felton, a son Gavin D. Rieger of Harrington, maternal grandmother Margaret H. Tighe of NJ and his special companion Amber Thompson of Felton, and an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Nathaniel was born on October 5, 2010 in Camp Springs, Maryland

He was a 5th grader at Lake Forest Central Elementary School. He was an honor student and beginning this year started to play the clarinet. Nathaniel will always be remembered for his quick sense of humor and his love of laughter. His greatest joy was spending time with family He also enjoyed playing soccer and talking on the phone.

Nathaniel is survived by his mother Jennifer Hughes of Bowers Beach, paternal grandparents Richard and Michaela Rieger, maternal grandparents Caroline K. Hughes of Waldorf, MD and Roger T. Hughes of Mechanicsville, MD, and aunt Brittany with whom he had a special relation, Aunt Renee Nordstrom, Uncle John Nordstrom, cousins Kalli and Mina Nordstrom.

Calling hours will be 9-11 am Friday, November 5 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am at the church. Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Gavin D. Rieger Trust Fund, c/o Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE 19934.

Sadler, Kenneth L,

Kenneth L. Sadler, age 41, went home to be with the Lord June 15th, 2004. Kenneth was a paraplegic for the past 21 years due to a swimming accident. Kenny enjoyed music and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He also loved being in the sun and enjoyed being with his daughter Amanda more than anything else. Kenny is survived by his daughter, Amanda; his mother, Sonia M. Davis; 2 brothers, Michael & Thomas Sadler; a nephew Anthony Taylor; aunts Charlotte Johnston and Martha Belanger; his friend, ex-wife and care giver, Violet Davis. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 21, 2004 in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd. Newark, DE. 19702 from 10 to 12 noon followed by the service in celebration of Kenny's life at noon. Burial will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle DE. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, 500 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ. 07081.

Barbour, Alladeen

Alladeen Barbour passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at her daughter's home. She was 76.

Alladeen was born on December 1, 1934 in Clintwood, VA, daughter of the late George and Edna (Mooney) Rose.

She had worked for 25 years at Christiana Hospital before retiring in 1996. Alladeen was a devoted mother and grandmother. The joy of her life was her six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Alladeen is survived by her children Sharon Roberts and her husband Dr. Bill Roberts of Magnolia, Robert Barbour of Camden-Wyoming and Sheryl Stafford and her husband Michael Stafford of New Castle, two sisters Wilma Bartley and Peggy Smith and a brother Gary Rose all of Abingdon, VA.

A memorial service will be held on Sat. Dec 18th at 1:00 PM at New Life Family Worship Center 226 Worship Lane, Camden DE.

Burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.

Briggs, Pauline Mabel

Pauline Mabel Briggs of Harrington passed away November 2, 2010 in her home. She was 62.

Pauline was born on June 16, 1948 in Albany, NY, daughter of the late Willard and Ida (Effner) Martin.

She had worked in the parts dept. and service counter for various automotive companies.

Her hobbies included shooting sporting clays. She was a member of Ducks Unlimited.

Pauline was preceded in death by her faithful companion Red.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years Richard Briggs, siblings Willard Martin Jr. of Florida, Joan Warner of Richmonville, NY, David Martin of Cobleskill, NY, Douglas Martin of Schoharie, NY, Steven Martin of Denver, CO, Kathy Jones Kosinski of Schoharie, NY, Stanley Martin, of Saddle Brook, NJ, Cory Miller and Ward Martin of Middleburgh, NY, many nieces and nephews, and her dogs Sam and Tex, who were her babies.

Services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ducks Unlimited, Inc. One Waterfowl Way, Memphis, TN 38120.

Allen, Anna P.

Anna P. Allen of Camden passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 79.

Anna was born on January 25, 1931 in Greensboro, MD, daughter of the late John and Bertha (Hammel) McCeary.

She began her working career at a Greensboro Restaurant, later as a seamstress in a factory in Greensboro and later for Aimes in Dover where later she retired.

Anna was a Sunday school teacher in her earlier years. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword and word find puzzles, going to yard sales, traveling, playing the piano and loved music. She also loved going to beach where she also had a home at Pot Nets.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Barbara J. Seidl, a son John T. Allen, a sister Edna Zierl.

Anna is survived by her husband of 63 years Thomas E. Allen, a daughter Karen Jarrel, son-in-law Tony Seidl, daughter-in-law Sheila Allen, sister Mary Monroe, grandchildren Iven E. Wolf, Peggy L. Tupman, john T. Allen and Gregory T. Domino, great grandchildren Lexus Allen, John Allen III, Aaliyah Allen, Donovan Allen, Kamayra Allen, Deej Tupman and Brydjette Tupman, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, January 7 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

Forston, Connie L.

Connie L. Forston, 60, of Harrington, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 19, 2010.

Connie served as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed baking, making crafts, and scrap-booking pictures of her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Narl Forston; 6 children, Jonathan Forston of Milwaukee, WI, Jennifer (Daniel) Martin of Harrington, Joshua (Anna) Forston of Frederica, Jullie Turner of Milford, Jeremy Forston of Bear, and Jordan (Amanda) Forston of Bridgeville; sister Sondra (Edward) Krolicki and brother Richard (Millie) Ayala of FL; 12 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. at Greenwood UMC, 101 W. Market St., Greenwood, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be mailed to Greenwood UMC's neXgen youth group at P.O. Box 2017, Greenwood, DE.
