Farver Heller, Mary Ellen
Mary Ellen Farver Heller, 76, Dover, passed away Wednesday January 19, 2011 at her home with family.
She was born on December 10, 1934 in Berwick, PA to the late Arwillis Whitey Farver and Geraldine Bloom Andreas. She was the step daughter of Kale Andreas, Sr. who along with her mother raised her since her father a paratrooper in W W I I was killed on D day (invasion of Normandy) in 1944. She was the wife of the late Darwin (Dar) Heller for 38 1/2 years until he passed away in 1990. She was a great grandmother of a great grandson Joshua Kobus who also passed away in 1990.
She is survived by her two children, Gary Heller and his wife Linda of Dover, DE., Carol Heller Banks of Camden, DE., 7 grandchildren, Lisa Shaw, Carrie Kobus, Shannon Shehorn, Jessica Guzzie, Shawn Heller, Austin Heller, Garrett Heller. Eleven Great grandchildren and one great great grandson, and a Mom-Mom to many children who adopted her and she loved them all and enjoyed all her family. Her fonded memories are of times traveling with her late husband, family and friends in their motor home. Especially to NASCAR race tracks and attending the races. She enjoyed all sports especially football. Her hobbies where reading, playing cards, crossword puzzles, sudoku, crocheting and especially babysitting her grandsons Jeremy and Jacob and enjoying all her grandchildren. Other survivors are her sister Kay and Ernest Normandin, brothers Kale and Theresa Andreas, Jr. and Karl and Rose Andreas all of Berwick, PA Many neices, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She had many friends her closest friends where Noreen Leadbelter and Viola Steele.
Remembrance Services will be held Monday 01/24/2011 1PM at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover, DE
Friends may also call Monday from 11 AM till time of the service at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover.
The family request that memorial contributions be given to Trader Funeral Home 12 Lotus Street Dover, DE to help with funeral cost.
Mabel D. Stevenson Wollter
Of Milford, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at Courtland Manor in Dover. She was 92.
Mabel was born on October 8, 1918 in Milford, daughter of the late Albert and Della (Millman) Donovan.
She was employed as an inspector for Milford Stitching in Milford for 25 years before retiring in 1982.
Mrs. Wollter enjoyed the simple pleasures of homemaking and time spent with her family. She also cherished the special bond of friendship over many years and activities she had shared with her late nephew, Larry Donovan.
She was a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Stevenson in 1954.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; William E. and Carol Stevenson and Dolphus I. and Nancy Stevenson, all of Milford; a brother, Cecil Donovan of Lincoln; three sisters, Betty Jean Jarrell of Wilmington, Alberta Maneval and Wanda Rash, both of Milford; five grandchildren, Richard J. Stevenson, Scott R. Stevenson, Matthew E. Stevenson, Todd W. Stevenson and Heather L. Stevenson and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Union St, Milton.
Burial will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Milford Chess Club, c/o Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 N. Church St, Milford, DE, 19963.
Elizabeth A. Dobson
Age 82, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Greenville, DE, passed away at Christiana Hospital on Thursday, January 20, 2011.
Born in Wilmington, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Riley) Foote. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and worked as a sales clerk at Sears at 40th and Market Streets in the electrical department for 15 years. She was a member of St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church. Her husband, George W. Dobson, predeceased her in 2007.
She is survived by her daughters, Georgeann M. Davis and her husband Don of Newark and Susan D. Bowers of Wilmington; her granddaughters and their husbands, Jennifer and Mark Anderson, Susan and Robert Wyatt, Sara and Justin Fogal, and Megan and Brett Adams; her grandson, Andrew Bowers; and her great granddaughters, Emily and Abigail Anderson, Delaney Adams, and Kyrra Fogal.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 27th at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville, where friends are invited to visitation after 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.
James Joseph Beyel
Age 89, of Marshallton, Delaware passed away at Christiana Hospital on Friday, January 21, 2011.
Born in New York City, NY, Jim was the oldest son of the late Gertrude and Irving Beyer. Serving in the Army as a sergeant from 1939 to 1945 as a medic, he was stationed at Fort DuPont. After 25 years of service with the Chrysler Corporation, Jim enjoyed travel and theater.
Survived by his loving partner, Roy W. Tressler; brother, Harold and wife Tina; sister, Barbara and husband Gerry, both of Long Island; sisters, Cora Smith and Sadie Bockman of Wilmington. He was preceded in death by siblings, Gertrude Deideshemier, Joseph Beyel, Raymond Beyel, RoseMarie Schnittker.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 28th at 1 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, where friends are invited to visitation after 12 noon. Interment will follow at Lower Brandywine Cemetery, Greenville, DE.
Cahall, Kenneth T.
Kenneth T. Cahall of Dover passed away due to complications from pneumonia on Monday March 22, 2004 in Kent General Hospital. He was 83.
Mr. Cahall was born June 19, 1920 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late William Arthur Cahall and Blanch Shively Cahall.
He served in the United States Navy and was a full time Reservist. He retired from the United States Postal Service in the Parcel Post Department, Dover Division.
Mr. Cahall was a member of the Dover Elks Lodge #1903, the Smyrna Clayton V.F.W. He continued to be an avid bowler and belonged to two bowling leagues the 55+ and Modern Maturity League. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and belonged to the Dover Dance Club.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years Mollie Cahall, 2/4/96.
He is survived by his two loving daughters, Victoria Morris of Hartly and Janet Miller of Felton; two grandsons, Matthew Chaffer and Tyler Miller; a nephew Donald Johnson of Dayton, Ohio and his companion Georgia Landry.
Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday March 26, 2004 in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10) Dover, DE. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in The VA Cemetery North Bear at a later time.

Edward Wilmore Rogers "Snooky", 86, of Kennett Square, PA died peacefully at Christiana Hospital on May 8, 2010 after a long illness.
He was born in Georgetown, DE, the son of the late Edward W. and Bertie Ellingsworth Rogers. Ed was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the 1st Provincial Artillery Brigade as a radio operator in the South Pacific. After the war, he worked as an electrician for McHugh Electric Company for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 313 and he was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying collegiate and professional football. Ed was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Elaine Newlin Rogers in 1997; his son, Stephen Edward Rogers in 2009; his brother, Henry Rogers and his two sisters, Marguerite Hill and Doris Taylor.
He is survived by his sons, John Alan Rogers and his wife Bonny of Pike Creek and Mark Dallas Rogers and his wife, Karen of Avondale, PA; his daughter, Cynthia Haigh and her husband, Roger, of Landenberg, PA; his seven grandchildren, Jillian, Timothy, Shannon, Rachel, Jennifer, Daniel and Krista and his great-granddaughter, Reagan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, Limestone and Milltown Roads at 12 Noon, where friends may call after 11 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Kidney Foundation, 325 Chestnut Street, Ste. 725, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
Cahall, Linda A.
Linda A. Cahall, of Clayton, passed away at her home on Thursday January 3, 2008. She was 60.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Allen Cahall; a son, Morgan Cahall, of New Castle; a brother, Jeff Morgan and his wife Jessica, of New Castle; three uncles, Richard Droddy, of Ellendale; Charles Droddy, of Dunbar, WV; and Joseph Mays, of Elsmere; three sisters-in-law, Eleanor Cahall and Deborah Callahan, both of New Castle; and Margaret Pierce, of Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private.
