Albert A. Fabianowicz, 67, of Worth, died June 25, 2013 at home. Visitation was held June 28 at Schmaedeke Funeral Home in Worth. A funeral Mass was held the same day at the funeral home. Interment was at Chapel Hill Garden South cemetery in Alsip.
Mr. Fabianowicz is survived by his sons, Tom and Teddy.
Mr. Fabianowicz was born in Chicago. He worked as a prison guard.

Albert S. Barstis, 84, of Hickory Hills, died July 26, 2013. Visitation was held a Lack & Sons Funeral Home in Hickory Hills on Aug. 2. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Alexander Church in Palos Heights on Aug. 3. Burial was at St. Casimir cemetery in Chicago.
Mr. Barstis is survived by his nieces, Barbara Schultz, Joan Baley and Carol Ilig; his great nephew, Ronald Schultz Jr.; and great niece, Donalyn Ilig.
Mr. Barstis was born in Chicago. He was a retired factory worker. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Archangel K. of C. #282, San Salvador American Legion Post and Knights of Lithuania.
Leonard A. Budz
Leonard A. Budz, 87, of Hickory Hills, died May 3, 2013 at Emeritus of Burr Ridge. Visitation was held May 7 at Schmaedeke Funeral Home in Worth. A funeral Mass was held May 8 at Resurrection cemetery in Justice.
Mr. Budz is survived by his wife, Shirley; his son, Lenn; his daughters, Kristine Richardson, Kimberly Granzow and Kelly Arrendondo; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Budz was born in Chicago. He worked as a carpenter.
Matthew A. Gavin
Matthew A. Gavin, 32, of Oak Lawn, died May 10, 2013. A memorial service was held May 13 at Adams-Winterfield& Sullivan Funeral Home in Downers Grove. Interment was private.
Mr. Gavin is survived by his wife, Kate; his daughter, Clare; his father, Glenn; his mother, Mary Ellen; and his sister, Sarah.
Mr. Gavin was born in Harvey. He worked as a social studies teacher and tennis coach at Richards High School in Oak Lawn.

Ms. Lerner is survived by her mother, Judi; her father, Steve; and her brother, Steve.

Joanne L. Pappas
Joanne L. Pappas, 77, née Dailey, of Palos Hills, died May 12, 2013 at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights. Visitation was held May 15 at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home in Palos Hills. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today, May 16 at Sacred Heart Church, 8245 W. 111th St. in Palos Hills. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National cemetery in Elwood.
Mrs. Pappas is survived by her sons, Lawrence, Jeffrey, Gregory and Christopher; her daughter, Pamela; her sister, Trudy Reiter; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pappas was born in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a homemaker.
Fred Weigand

Estelle Lelko (née Wychelewski), 87, of Oak Lawn, died Feb. 7, 2009, at Brentwood Nursing Home in Burbank. Visitation was held at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home in Oak Lawn on Feb. 10. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Linus Church in Oak Lawn on Feb. 11. Entombment was at Resurrection Mausoleum in Justice.
Mrs. Lelko is survived by her daughter, Bernadine; her sons, John and Robert; her sisters, Mary Balcerzak and Helen Rys; her brothers, Harry Wychelewski; Joseph Wychelewski and Edward Wychelecki; many nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Lelko was born in Chicago. She was a retired factory worker for corn products. She was a member of Post 5220 VFW Women’s Auxiliary and St. Linus Ladies Guild.

Mr. Klemczak is survived by his wife, Barbara; his sons, Richard F. Klemczak, John Klemczak, Robert Kosowski and Jamie Kosowski; and five grandchildren.

Loretta Phifer Witty, 93, of Dowagiac, Mich., formerly of Oak Lawn, died April 17, 2007, in Cartell Nursing Home in St. Joseph, Mich. Visitation was held at Groner Funeral Home in Dowagiac, Mich., on April 22. A funeral Mass was offered at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Dowagiac on April 23. Burial was at Sacred Heart cemetery.
Mrs. Witty is survived by her daughter, Loretta Reidy; her sons, Art O'Meara, Bill O'Meara and Ralph O'Meara; her sisters, Barbara Banach, Pat Litke and Jewel Kohn; her brothers, Jack McNaughton, Bob McNaughton, Frank McNaughton and Edward McNaughton; and 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
