(Janet) Stamm of San Mateo, CA, & Janet S. (Chris) Goff of Sandy, UT; Grandmother of 7; Great Grandmother of 1; sister of the late Marjorie Lovejoy and the late Cameron Estes.

Bradford William Shaw Jr., 67, of Lake Forest, IL, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Palliative Care Center at Evanston Hospital, in Evanston, IL. Born to Bradford William Shaw and Grace Patricia, nee Pastor, on August 11, 1942 in Oak Park, IL, Brad graduated from Notre Dame HIgh School in Niles, IL and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. In 1963, Brad joined the investment firm of John Nuveen & Company as a municipal bond trader. Brad had a long successful career with Nuveen, serving in a variety of senior leadership roles and ultimately retiring in 2000, after 37 years with the firm. Brad had a zest for life and truly enjoyed spending time with his family and many wonderful friends. The lives of those he touched are a reflection of his love and devotion to doing his best at the many roles he had in his life – husband, dad, friend, coach, grandpa, uncle, businessman, and avid sports fan. Brad is survived by his beloved wife of almost 20 years, Ann, nee Myer, and their son, Andrew; his first wife, Katherine, nee Meierhoff, and their three children, Bradford III (Margo), Jennifer, and Erica (Daniel) Galligan; his sister, Barbara (James) Werlein; his five grandchildren, Willem, Quinn, Charles, Bradford IV, and Oliver; and many beloved nephews and nieces.

Robert F. Weber, 81 of Lake Forest died June 3, 2010. He was born September 29, 1928 in Highland Park, IL. Mr. Weber served in the service during the Korean conflict and was a lifelong carpenter. Beloved Husband of the late Betty. Loving father of Linda Wood, Robert A. (Kimberly) Weber, Steven (Katrina) Weber, Susan (Brian) Yeoman; Dear Grandfather of Michael, Brian, Robert, Emily, Jordan, Taylor and Evelyn; Cherished Great Grandfather of Kayla; Brother of James. Ruth R. Overocker, 91, longtime resident of Lake Bluff, died May 30, 2010 at the Midwest Palliative and CancerCare Center in Skokie, IL. Born June 27, 1918 and raised in Ft. Wayne, IN., she graduated from Franklin College, IN with a degree in social work. During WWII she worked for the Red Cross and met her beloved "Bill" (Willard) at the Ft. Wayne Service Man's Club where he cut in to dance with her and the dance continued for 52 years until his death in 1999. When Bill was transferred to Baumholder, Germany as Director of Education for the Army, they traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East. She also worked for the Lake Bluff Children's Home working with adopted families of newborns. She loved everything about Lake Bluff especially the 4th of July Parade, the lake, the Woman's Club, and the Union Church of Lake Bluff where she served on many committees and sang in the choir for over 30 years. She was an accomplished pianist and loved going to Ravinia Music Festival and Lyric Opera of Chicago. She will be terribly missed by her children, Wendy (David) Wiegers of Gurnee and David James of Chicago, her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Daniel) Strahan, of Beach Park, Matthew of Michigan City, IN and Jeffrey of Dallas, TX, her great grandchildren Jacob and Zachary Strahan, her sister-in-law, Florence Roadcap, her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Lula Wird Payne and John William Roadcap and her brother, Roy R. Roadcap. What will be missed most will be her beautiful smile and her loving ways. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 5 at 11:00 am at the Union Church of Lake Bluff. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Union Church, 525 E. Grandmother of 8 and Great Grandmother of 7 Sister of the late Richard Heise of Des Moines, IA Aunt of Karen Heise Palmer of Des Moines, IA Raised in Linden, IA, Virginia received her B.A. from the University of Iowa (1938), had a fashion career from 1947 to 1979 (she designed and made the wedding wardrobe for Mrs. Nugent who’s son, Patrick Nugent married Luci Johnson, daughter of President Lyndon Johnson), was a member of the League of Women Voters and the American Association of University Women (AAUW) from the 1950’s to the present, organized the Women’s Cultural Exchange with China in 1973, was the first woman elected to the Lake Forest City Council serving from 1974-1979, was sworn in as an Illinois legislator serving in Springfield from 1979-1994, received an honorary Doctor of laws degree from Lake Forest College (1994), earned her Masters of liberal studies degree from Lake Forest College (1999) and in 2001, Vantage Press published her book Moving On - My life through the twentieth century and today. Memorial service 1:00 P.M., Friday, June 11, 2010 at Grace United Methodist Church, 244 E. Center Ave., Lake Bluff, IL 60044. No visitation, interment will be private in Lake Forest cemetery.
