James E. Keilwitz, 67 of Lake Bluff, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010, from complications following heart surgery. He was born August 9, 1942 in Denver, Colorado. A graduate from the University of Utah and the Art Institute of Los Angeles, he worked for Sperry/Rand Corporation as National Sales Manager for many years. In 1980, he started his own company designing and programming inventory control systems for manufacturing. Eventually he expanded into the retail grocery and food distribution market. In addition to his great love for his family, he loved reading, cooking, fishing, and arguing politics with his many friends. Loving and devoted husband of 27 years to Barbara Keilwitz, his “bride”; proud and loving father of Gregory Keilwitz, Tampa, FL and Geoffrey Keilwitz, Duluth, MN and stepfather of Kristine Lemnah Laign, Leesburg, VA and Jeffrey Lemnah, Castaic, CA; Papa Jim to 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; Brother of William Keilwitz of Maine, Sisters Jodine Blender of Colorado, the late Kay Martinelli, and the late Nada Jester; son of the late William L. Keilwitz and Thelma Keilwitz nee Graves. The family will gather to celebrate his life in Ocean City, Maryland, a place Jim truly loved. TSCHANZ, Willard R. Tschanz, 91, a resident of Lake Forest since 1966, passed away on June 24, 2010. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Kathryn “Kay”, sons John W. (Rita), Charles M. (Anne), and Thomas T. (Anne) Tschanz; daughter Mary Kay Tschanz; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was born on August 13, 1918 in Monticello, WI. He grew up and attended school in Monroe, WI, and graduated in 1940 from the University of Wisconsin at Madison where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Willard served in the United States Navy in Europe during World War II, returning in late 1945 with the last five U. S. Navy ships left in northern Germany after mass transfer of naval forces from Europe to the Pacific upon the surrender of Germany. He was preceded in death by his father John in 1948, his mother Emma in 1983, his twin brother William in 1986, and his sister Helen Burger in 2004. He was employed many years with Kraft Foods, beginning in 1947 in Greenbay, WI. He relocated several times with the Company to positions in Chicago, San Francisco (residence in Menlo Park, CA), and finally back to Chicago in 1966. He moved to Lake Forest in 1966 and retired in 1983. Willard served for many years as a Volunteer at Lake Forest Hospital after his retirement and was a member of the Church of St. Mary in Lake Forest. Funeral mass 11:30 a.m. Mon., June 28th at the Church of St. Mary in Lake Forest. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery, Monroe, and WI 12 Noon Tues. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to PRMAA (retirement fund for priests), 730 N. Wabash, Chicago, IL 60611. Frank Blazevich, 67, of Lake Forest, owner of Lake Shore Harley Davidson and Lake Shore Investors, died June 22, 2010. Frank is survived by his wife Mary Ware Blazevich; daughters Molly McKimmy & Rebecca Ware; grandchildren Megan, Sarah, Clayton, Rachael, Brandon & Morganne McKimmy; brother Mike (Linda) Blazevich; sister Marie (Dale) Trusky; nephews Brett (Angela) Blazevich, Christopher (Charissa) Blazevich, Dale (Mara) Trusky and his nieces Heather Blazevich, Toni (Erik) Vela and Susie (Dan) Erdal. He is preceded in death by his parents Lucille & Anthony Blazevich and his stepson Garth Ware. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26 at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Donald Bruce Davidson, age 75, longtime resident of Lake Forest, passed away suddenly on June 22, 2010. He was a graduate of New Trier High School, Princeton University, and the University of Chicago. He was a well-known insurance executive, philanthropist, and community leader. preceded in death by his first wife Joyce Gibbons, he is survived by his wife Sherrie, daughter Anne Rippel, husband Dan, daughter Lynda Crowell, husband Rob, stepdaughter Heather Geismann, husband Todd, and stepson Bill Davidson, wife Suzana. Also survived by grandchildren: Kaitlin, Ben, and Tyler Rippel, Sam, Jack and Alex Crowell, Ava and Viola Geismann A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 26th at 11:00 am at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E. Westminster in Lake Forest. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Old Elm Scholarship Foundation, Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, or Dogs For Life (Dog Park Memorial Garden), P.O. Timothy Francis Collins, 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 21, 2010. He was born and raised in Norwood Park area and Wilmette. Tim devoted his life to his great love of family. He was president of Clybourn Metal Finishing Company for nearly 30 years, a family business originally started by his father. Tim celebrated life by golfing, taking family vacations, and telling stories with his loved ones. An avid golfer, he was a member of Conway Farms Golf Club, formally a member of Evanston Golf Club. His beautiful smile, positive spirit, and generous ways will always be remembered. Tim was a loving husband to Mary; Cherished father to Ashley, Amanda (Brian), Kaitlyn, and Jeffery; Dear son to Helen and the late Frank; Treasured brother of Kevin (Cathy), Danny (Nancy), Barry (Anne), Mary, Patrick (Eileen), Brian, Maureen (Ed) and Michael (Natalia). Edward J. Kluza, R.Ph, U.S. Army veteran, of Lake Forest, IL, died early June 13, 2010. Born and raised in his beloved Chicago, Edward was a graduate of University of Illinois’ School of Pharmacy and the faithful owner and operator of Kluza Pharmacy on the northwest side for 35 years. He served dutifully on Parkway Bank’s board of directors for 29 years and was a proud member of American Legion Post #264. Edward was the cherished husband and sweetheart of Genevieve Zimka; loving father of Carolyn (Mark) Dapier and James; fond grandfather of Joseph (Michelle), Edward (Marisa), Jarrett (Elizabeth), Molly, Pierson, and Cailie Dapier; great-grandfather of Eleanor, William, and Frances Dapier; treasured brother of Estelle (the late Joseph) Krupa, Helen (Ted) Szywala, the late Joseph (the late Sophie), the late Eleonore (Phil) Zola; dear friend to in-laws the late Marie (Thaddeus) Zurawski, the late Joseph (Dorothy) Zimka, Loretta (the late Stanley) Olech, and Evelyn (Daniel) McIlwee. Irene Hillman passed away peacefully on June 10, 2010 at her home in Lake Forest, IL after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanley (1995), loving mother of Susan, Debbie (Tom) Stewart, Katie (Keith) Wilhelm and proud grandmother of Christopher and Jennifer Stewart, Keaton and Kaden Wilhelm. Born in Shanghai, China on January 15, 1923, Irene met her future husband, Stanley in Shanghai – and later both were imprisoned during WWII in a Japanese prisoner of war camp. Marrying after the war they moved to Hong Kong, and then immigrated to the United States in the early 1950s. Lake Forest was home for 44 years. A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 East Westminster, Lake Forest, on Monday, June 14 at 2:00 pm. Burial is private.
