Robert M. Roen, 63, of Lake Bluff and formerly of Lake Forest, died November 3, 2009 at his home. Beloved husband of Susan Roen. Loving father of Jennifer (Jim) Bentz, Scott (Renee) Roen and Diantha Roen. Cherished grandfather of Patrick and Allison Bentz and Lily and Isla Roen. Caring brother of Florence Roen. Mr. Roen was an active speaker for the Gift of Hope on organ and tissue donation at High Schools and Colleges throughout the Chicagoland area. He also enjoyed volunteering for Life Source blood drives, especially at the Great Lakes Naval Base. Ruth Agnes Andrew, nee Robertson, a life long resident of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, passed away Oct. 14, 2009. Mrs. Andrew was born Sept. 6, 1929 to Olive and Arthur Robertson. She married
James M. Andrew in 1952. Ruth graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1947 and then spent many years as a travel agent. She thoroughly enjoyed traveling, was a wonderful baker and an avid reader. In the recent past, Ruth was very active at the Lake Forest /Lake Bluff Senior Center. She is survived by her daughters Deborah (Tom) Giles and Jennifer Kempe, both of Denver, CO and her sons Donald (Erna) of Chicago, Greg of Lake Bluff and Thomas (Mary) of Libertyville, 5 grandchildren, a niece and nephew and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband James, parents Arthur and Olive, brothers Donald and Roger and a grandson Robert.
