Alice M. Stocker
age 77; of New Albany
Funeral services for Alice N. Stocker, 77, of New Albany, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 637 E. Market St., Louisville, Ky. She died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was a native of Mauckport and the former Alice N. Neely. She was the New Albany City Clerk during the Inman Administration, an election commissioner, the former president of the Floyd County Republican Women, former chairwoman for the Floyd County Republican Party, a member of the Amarath Literary Club and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Survivors include her husband, Don Stocker; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held privately.
Arrangements are being handled by the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to her church.
Darrell D. Pate
age 74; of Corydon
Funeral services for Darrel D. Pate, 74, of Corydon, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the New Middletown United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, the former Alice Higginbotham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at his church.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to his church.
Marilyn Sue Whelan
age 73; Utica native
Funeral services for Marilyn Sue Whelan, 73, of Louisville, were held today, Monday, Sept. 22, at Ratterman & Sons Family Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, with burial in Utica Hillcrest Cemetery. She died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at her home.
She was the former Marilyn Sue Gill, a native of Utica.
Paul Samuel Crump
age 34; of Mount Washington
Funeral services for Paul Samuel Crump, 24, of Mount Washington, Ky., will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Kraft Funeral Home on East Spring Street in New Albany. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at Brookland Cemetery
in Shepherdsville. He died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003 at his home in Mount Washington, Ky.
He was a heavy equipment operator at Charah Environmental Co. and a member of Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Catherine Litton; a daughter, Cheyenne Rose Crump; mother and stepfather, Elanda and Carlos Wentworth of New Albany; father and stepmother, David and Gail Crump of Louisville; a sister, Mandy Crump of New Albany; a brother, Garland Dean Wentworth of New Albany; grandparents, Wilma Jean Rowland of Louisville, Maxine Wentworth of New Albany and Shirley Creek of Shepherdsville, Ky.; and his great-grandmother, Christine Huber of Louisville.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22 at Kraft Funeral Home on East Spring Street.

Edward M. Bailey
age 809; of Georgetown
Funeral services for Edward M. Bailey, 80, of Georgetown, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Gehlbach and Royse in Georgetown, with burial in Wolfe's Cemetery
in Georgetown. He died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
He was a retired transportation director for the Floyd County School Corp., owned the Bailey Trucking Co. in Georgetown and served on the Floyd County Council and the Georgetown Town Board.
Survivors include his sister, Margaret Dean Hammersmith, Georgetown; nephew, Kevin Hammersmith, Georgetown; and niece, Tamyra Cunningham, Georgetown.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today, Sept. 22, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Paul A. Boes
age 61; of New Albany
Funeral services for Paul A. Boes, 61, of New Albany, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Paul V. Shrader Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. He died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at his home.
Survivors include his five grandchildren, Kayla, Aaron, Amy, Linda and Tony Jr.; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the funeral home.

Robert E. "Bob" Adams
age 79; Colgate Palmolive Co. retiree
Funeral services for Robert E. "Bob" Adams, 79, of Sellersburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with internment in Sellersburg Cemetery. He died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at his home.
He was a native of Speed and retired manager from Colgate Palmolive Company. He was a member of Speed Memorial Church and Buckner Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Balmer, Floyds Knobs; three sons, Ed Adams, Henryville, Chuck Adams, Clarksville and Jeff Adams, Jeffersonville; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 30.
Edith A. Keup
age 80; of Sellersburg
Edith A. Keup, 80, of Sellersburg, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
She was a native of St. Louis, Mo. and a former employee of Bramco Corporation in Louisville.
Survivors include a son, Terry E. Keup, Lebanon, Tenn.; two daughters, Lynda F. Keehn, Sellersburg and Rilla Mason, Utica; a sister, Rose Ellen Moser, Connersville; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph R.E. Keup.
The body has been cremated.
Coots Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Robert Ragland Smith Sr.
age 75; of Jeffersonville
Funeral services for Robert Ragland "Joe Camp" Smith Sr. 75, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Gilt Edge Missionary Baptist Church, 1713 Green St., Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Jeffersonville, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Gilt Edge Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Roni L. Smith; sons, Robert R. Smith Jr. and Rickey L. Smith; sisters, Roberta Newbolt and Delores J. Taylor; brother, William V. Smith; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the church.
