FORT SMITH, Ark. -- Leora A. Rowden, 76, died Wednesday January 21, 2004, at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark.
She was born Dec. 12, 1927, to Theodore R. and Anna L. Elledge Kugler in Liberal.
She married Lawrence M. Rowden at Santa Rosa, N.M. He died July 7, 1999.
She attended school in Liberal and Wichita. She was a life long resident in Liberal.
She was a sales clerk at JC Penney's for many years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Liberal.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Liberal Rebekah Lodge No. 522, life member and past president of Washington School PTA, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Southwest Medical Center Auxiliary, Liberal Good Samaritan Center Auxiliary and the Happy Steppers Square Dance Club in Liberal.
She is survived by one son, Mike Rowden and wife Glinda, Fort SMith, Ark.; one grandson, Scott Rowden, and one great-grandson, Cole Rowden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Pat Rowden.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Miller Chapel with the Reverend. Don Baldwin presiding.
Burial will be at the Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call the Miller Mortuary from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m . Sunday and 8 a.m. until service time on Monday.
MARIE REBECCA ANTON
SATANTA -- Marie Rebecca Anton, 93, died Saturday, January 24, 2004, at Satanta Long Term Care Unit in Satanta.
She was born Aug. 5, 1910, to Earl D. and Celestia May (Brown) Davis.
She married Charles Robert Anton Aug. 5, 1929, in Moscow. He died Dec. 13, 1979.
She was a homemaker. She was a partner of the farming operation. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Satanta E.H.U. and MC Sunday School Class in Satanta.
Survivors include one son, Bill Anton and wife, Nancy, Satanta; one daughter, Bonnie Anderson and husband, Jep, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, Ben Davis and wife , and Ruby, Sublette; John Davis, Sublette; three sisters, Ruth Prutch, Florence, Colo., Louise Itschner and husband, Russell, Kerrville, Texas, Lucille Ornelas, Pueblo, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert "Bob" Anton; one daughter, Betty Anderson; one great-granddaughter, Erin Anton; three brothers, James, Raymond and Arthur "Art" Davis, four sisters, Faye Ethel Davis, Ann Cobb, Peggy McDonald and Earlene Black.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Satanta with the Reverend Jeff Miller presiding.
Burial will be at the Dudley Township Cemetery
in Satanta.

DORIS ANN LEWIS
SATANTA -- Doris Ann Lewis, 71, died Wednesday Jan. 22, 2004, at Giddings Health Center in Giddings, Texas.
She was born May 30, 1932, to E. Ted and Faye I. (Fortna) Thompson in Satanta.
She married Wayne Lewis June 7, 1952, in Satanta. He died Sept. 12, 1987.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Liberal.
Survivors include one son, Jeffery Wayne Lewis, Seabrook, Texas; one daughter, Diana Faye Lewis, Bacliff, Texas; one brother, Robert L. Thompson, Denver, Colo.; three nephews and numerous other friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dudley Township Cemetery
in Satanta with the Reverend Jeff Miller.
Haskell County Funeral Home in Sublette is in charge of arrangements.

CLAUDE WILCOX
COPELAND -- Claude Wilcox, 94, died Thursday Jan. 22, 2004, at his home in Grants Pass, Ore.
He was born Feb. 7, 1909, to George and Olive (Talley) Wilcox in Garden City. She survives.
He married Henrietta Pauline Stremmel April 12, 1953, in Wichita.
He was a wheat farmer.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Garden City. He attended the United Methodist Church in Copeland.
Other survivors include one step-son, Carl E. Smith and wife, Betty, Grants Pass, Ore.; one brother, Jess Wilcox, Lake Placid, Fla.; two sisters, Ruby Wilcox, Wichita, Elva Arnett, Oklahoma City, Okla.; eight step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Copeland with the Reverend Gene Eshleman presiding.
Burial will be at the Copeland Cemetery
in Copeland.

DOROTHY I. EISENBART
FOWLER -- Dorothy I. Eisenbart, 93, died Sunday, January 25, 2004, at Delta Hospital in Delta, Colo.
She was born Oct. 6, 1910, to Joseph A. and Mary Christina Schwab Gerber in Fowler.
She married Charles E. Eisenbart Sept. 10, 1929, at Fowler. He died June 23, 1982.
She was a homemaker. She was a lifetime resident of Fowler.
She is survived by three daughters; Sister Charlene Eisenbart O.P., Great Bend, Darlene Mahoney, Grand Junction, Colo., Shirley Plymale, Paonia, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Gerber, Fowler, Eugene Gerber, Fort Collins, Colo.; two sisters, Lorene McPheter, Meade, Coletta Low, Fowler.
She was a member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church, Altar Society, a 75-year member of the Daughters of Isabella, American Legion Auxiliary and the Lakeview Club of Fowler.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Geraldine Dickerson; one brother, Alvin; one sister, Florence Blick.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Fowler with the Father Francis Stuart presiding.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Friends may call Fidler-Orme Mortuary from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Burial will be at the Fowler Cemetery
in Fowler.

CHARLES "TED" BERGLUND
BOERNE, Texas -- Charles "Ted" Berglund, 92, died January 24, 2004, in Boerne, Texas.
He was born April 20, 1911, to John and Penelope (Constable) Berglund in Clay Center.
He married Mildred Miles, Dec. 10, 1926. She died January 10, 1998.
He was a county engineer for Phillips, Seward and Haskell Counties in Kansas.
He was a World War II Veteran where he served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by three daughters, Becky Zook, Boerne, Texas, Pam Alexander, Long Island, N. Y., Teddy Berglund-Prochazka, Moose Pass, Alaska; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at United Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg with the Reverend Mark Simonda and David Zook presiding.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

JAMES MONROE KEELING
ELKHART -- James Monroe Keeling, 73, died Tuesday, January 27, 2004, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
He was born Aug. 23, 1930, to Joe Bailey and Anna Lee Keeling in Minden, Texas.
He married Sammie Gene Moore Oct. 20, 1954, in Sunray, Texas. She died Jan. 20, 1998.
He was a former resident of Sunray, Texas where he worked for Sunray Grocery. He also did construction work and farming.
He later moved to Keyes, Okla. where he worked for Keyes Helium Plant and retired in 1981. He then worked for Chris Hunt Water Hauling in 1985.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict.
Survivors include one son, James Mark Keeling and wife, Betsy, Elkhart; two brothers, Owen Wood Keeling, Branson, Miss. Robert Keeling, Fort Worth, Texas; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sabra Guymon.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Elkhart Cemetery
in Elkhart with the Reverend Terrell Giddens presiding.
