She was the widow of Charles Franklin Cannon, Sr., and she was the daughter of the late Leonard R. and Lena Warren Rogers. Survivors include: one son: Charles Franklin Cannon, Jr. and his wife Veneida, Lexington; one daughter: Connie Bartlett and her husband Jewell, Nicholasville; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Clarence Rogers, Marion Rogers, Leonard Rogers, Jr., Lunce Rogers and Ralph Rogers and one sister: Florence O’Nan.

She was a retired Inspector for Corning Glass, Incorporated and a member of Southside Christian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, collecting dolls and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include: three daughters: Opal (Carl) Clark, Harrodsburg, Gussi (Fred) Smith, Lexington and Pat Brock, Nicholasville; one brother: William Allen, Harrodsburg; three step-children: Clifford (Bonnie) Royalty, Lawrenceburg, Brenda (Don) Stiglich, Harrodsburg, Donald Wayne (Brenda Joyce) Royalty, Harrodsburg; eleven grandchildren: Kathy (Billy) Hatfield, William Butch Beasley, Tony Beasley, Mark Beasley, Sandy (Ricky) Stratton, Tim (Susan) Abner, Kristi Abner Pijanka, John Kartner, Matthew Brock, Randy Kartner, and Eric (Allisa) Kartner; twelve step-grandchildren: Freda (Chris) Crawford, Becky Waller, Stephen (Glenda Dawn) Royalty, Kevin (Saletta Jane) Royalty, Carla (Jimmy) Neat, Andrea (Stephen) Campbell, Carla (Jimmy) Neat, Tim (Tammy) Royalty, Richard (Celena) Royalty, Kimberly Samuelson, Cindy (Rob) Taylor, Malissa (David) Thompson, and Dennis (Pam) Stiglich; thirty-two great-grandchildren, twenty-four great-great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren, step-great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Norma Lee Brummett; infant son: William Albert Brummett, Jr.; three sisters: Bessie Crabtree, Frances Carrier, and Gracie Cobb; two brothers: Ernest Allen and Enoch Allen and one granddaughter: Pamela Beasley Gilbert.

She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School and was a retired Cricketeer employee.

He was the husband of Marie Godbey Campbell of Salvisa. He was the son of the late Bill and Carrie Perkins Campbell. Additional survivors besides his wife include: one son: David Lee Campbell, and his wife Martha, Harrodsburg, one daughter: Frances Campbell, Salvisa; two brothers: Gorman Campbell, Harrodsburg and Arlis Campbell, Williamsburg; one grand-daughter: Cathy Grider and her husband, Troy, Harrodsburg; one great-grandson: Caleb Lee Grider and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son: Donald B. Campbell, two brothers: James Robert Campbell and Arnold Cecil Campbell and two sisters: Mildred Phillips and Dorothy Murphy.

He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. A member of VFW and American Legion.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2006 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Burkhead officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery with Delbert Siler, Jody Simpson, Ronald Hungate, John Jones, Anthony Godbey, Troy Grider, Glenn Preston and Billy Darnall serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Hanley J. “Hank” Ross 90, of Mercer County husband of Edith Wheeler Ross of Nicholasville, died Tuesday February 14, 2006 at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. He was born November 2, 1915 in Mercer County to the late Will and Jane Eastin Ross. A member of Eller’s Memorial Baptist Church, a former service station attendant, enjoyed reading and traveling.

Survivors include three step sons Delbert Eason and James H. Eason both of Garrard County and Dexter Knight of Nicholasville. Two step grand children also survive.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday February 17, 2006 at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Releford officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12:00 Noon Friday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Margaret Katherine Bugg, 58, of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, February 12, 2006 at her residence. Born December 26, 1947 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley Divine and Louise Fuell Divine Litteral. She had worked for Cricketeer for many years; she enjoyed camping, fishing, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Mrs. Bugg is survived by two sons; Clint (Melissa) Bugg of Lexington and Billy (Alissa) Bugg of Harrodsburg. One daughter Sherri Bugg of Lexington, three brothers: W.T. (Judy) Divine of Danville, Harold Divine of Springfield, and Billy G. Divine of Harrodsburg. One sister Linda Lake of Harrodsburg, three grandsons: Matthew, Joshua, and Shawn Bugg. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Ida Lou Gribbins and Marion Lee Million and three brothers: Roy Divine, Jerry Lynn Divine, and Robin Dale Litteral.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

The widow of Woodrow W. Robinson, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Verla Robinson Peyton. Survivors include: three sons: Dennis Robinson and his wife Belinda, Washington County, Michael Robinson and his wife Linda, Shelbyville, and Billy Joe Robinson and his wife Carolyn, Perryville; three daughters: Peggy Blacketer and her husband, Paul, Harrodsburg, Jackie McGuire and her husband, Vernon, Harrodsburg and Martha Lynn Morris, and her husband Tony, Frankfort. Two brothers: R.D. Peyton and Bob Peyton, both of Mercer County, and two sisters: Helen Gash and Marjorie Young, both of Harrodsburg. Twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother: Bruce L. Peyton.

She was a retired Mercer Elementary School Teacher and a homemaker. She attended Kavanaugh School in Lawrenceburg and Campbellsville College and was a Eastern Kentucky University graduate. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, KEA and the Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Robinson was an avid reader and crossword puzzle worker and also enjoyed piecing quilts.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2006 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Geurin and Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with grandsons: Travis McGuire, Jimmy Robinson, Adam Robinson, Marc Morris, David Morris, Christopher Robinson, Lee Wilson Robinson, Christopher Miller, Ethan Robinson, Kelly Garner and J.P. Miller serving as pallbearers and granddaughters: Kathi Hudson, Susan Record, Allison Goodlett, Amy Robinson, Shannon Miller, Sarah Louise Robinson, Amy Gammon, Leslie Garner, Rebecca Spaulding, Melinda Robinson, Heather Robinson and Michele Tate serving as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday and after 7:00 a.m. Sunday, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Hospice, P.O. Box 1213, Danville, Kentucky 40422.

Wilson, Janet Marie Kimball

Mrs. Janet Marie Kimball Wilson, 58, beloved wife of Rev. Fred Wilson, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 at her residence. Born January 21, 1948 in Siren, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mildred Stoltenburg Kimball. She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she was a faithful worker, having served in the nursery for several years.

Additional survivors besides her husband include: one son: Kevin Lee Wilson, who is presently stationed with the United States Marine Corps in Twenty-Nine Palms, CA and his fiancé, Suellen Deel, of Morehead; two step-sons: Gary M. Wilson and his wife Sherri, Ekron, Ky; and Rev. Wayne Wilson and his wife, Tina, New Castle, Wyoming; one step daughter: Denise L. Thompson and her husband, Bill, Brandenburg, Ky; two sisters: Hope Lesenbe, Texas and Constance Farrar, Texas; twelve step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one step-daughter: Donna Kay Dudley.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2006 at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Easterling, Rev. Wayne Wilson and Rev. Virgil Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with James Mayes, Les Ames, John David Lane, Glenn Wilson, Bill Thompson, and Adam Thompson serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 7:00 a.m. Sunday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hopewell Baptist Church.

Mrs. Edna Irene Gibson, 78, widow of Melvin Dillard Gibson, died Thursday, February 9, 2006 at her residence. Born August 8, 1927 in Lawrenceburg, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Walker and Susie Mae Hanks. She was a member of Ellers Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. Gibson had worked for Freeman Auction Company and was a retired office clerk for R.V. Cable Vision. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by her two daughters: Lois Ann (Jere) Vaught of Mercer County, and Linda Louise (Steve) McCrystal also of Mercer County. Two sisters: Eva Kathleen (Alan) Bowen and Mary (Bob) Jasper Cook both of Lawrenceburg. Three grandchildren: James Eric Adams and Troy Daniel Adams both of Lexington and Katie Hanks McCrystal of Mercer County. Two step-grandchildren: Sheila Kay (Brian) Burns of Mercer County and Shelley Renee (Mark) Klassen of Portland, OR. Two step-great grandchildren: Daniel Keith Burns and Makenzie Lee Burns both of Mercer County.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2005 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 7:00 a.m. Monday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.

Anderson, William Lloyd

William Lloyd Anderson, 66, of Danville, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born October 21, 1939 in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Gentry and Katherine Upton Anderson. He was a self-employed Maintenance Worker, had worked at Bright’s Bottled Gas, Shakertown, and most recently had managed the Keene Lodge Motor Inn in Versailles. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with friends and family and making people laugh.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter Kelly Anderson of Stanford, one granddaughter Victoria Rose Lunsford and one grandson Caleb Lunsford both of Stanford. One brother Morris Anderson of Alexandria, two nieces, and several cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his son Anthony “Bill” Anderson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home in Harrodsburg is in charge of arrangements.

Born November 27, 1941 in Mercer County, the widower of Jackie Dunning Burke. He was the son of Lucille Blacketer Burke of Harrodsburg and the late William G. Burke.

Additional survivors besides his mother include: one son, Donnie (Denise) Burke of Harrodsburg; three daughters, Vonna Carol (Buck) Whitenack of Harrodsburg, Robin Lynn (Tim) Kidd of Mercer County and Andrea Jean (Chris) O’Bryan of Nicholasville; one brother, Harry (Glenda) Burke of Mercer County; one sister, Nancy (Ronnie) Baker of Lawrenceburg; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was a Retired Corning Incorporated employee and a member of Cornishville Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, attending horse and dog races and was an avid UKfan.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2006 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Readnour officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with Paul Logue, Scott Huff, David Hawkins, Mack Smith, Scottie Anderson and Brian Stewart serving as pallbearers and Forest Devine, Tony Gray, Ronnie Smith, Jason Dearing, Doc McKinney, Jeff Bradley, Todd Cheatham, Tony Dunning, and Lynn Nichols serving as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 7:00 a.m. Friday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Hospice, P.O. Box 1213, Danville, Kentucky 40422.
