Doris Webb
1932-2010

Doris Webb, 77, of Louisa, Ky., passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, in Cornerstone Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.

She was born June 26, 1932, in Louisa, a daughter of the late Lloyd George and Tina Webb Jordan.

She was a member of the Heaven’s Messengers Singers, Eastern Star of Louisa and Baker Chapel Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LD Webb.

Survivors include two sons, Michael and Wanda Lee Webb and Terry and Debbie Webb, all of Louisa; two daughters, Sharon Webb Stein and Karene Webb Lewis, both of Louisa; a sister, Mary and John McGuire of Louisa; six granddaughters, Stephanie Webb and Randell Music, Shelly Webb, Erica Dawn Webb, Liz Ann Webb, Kyla Nicole and Kelly Click and Brittany and Brandon Kitts; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Webb Music, Tanner D. Castle, Emalynn Blake Kitts; and two angels on the way.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Young Funeral Home in Louisa with Brother Elmo Canterbury and Brother Gordan Crisp officiating. Burial will be in Jordan-Webb cemetery Louisa.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Joshua David Slone
(1984-2010)

Joshua David Slone, 25, of Odessa, Texas, formerly of Louisa, died Wednesday in Crossville, Tenn.

He was born July 28, 1984, in Lawrence County.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa. Burial will be in Ball cemetery in Mattie.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Charles Gray
(1958-2010)

Charles Timothy Gray, 51, of Louisa, died Thursday in Louisa.

He was born April 9, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Young Funeral Home in Louisa. Burial will be in Yatesville Memorial Gardens in Louisa.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.

Samuel Dheel
(1936-2010)

Samuel E. Dheel, 73, of Louisa, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 12, 1936, in Van Lear.

His wife, Joann Childers Dheel, preceded him in death.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Meades Branch Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in Dheel cemetery in Louisa.

Elizabeth Jane Stacy
(2007-2010)

Elizabeth Jane Stacy, 2-year-old daughter of Chris Stacy and Rebecca Christine Endicott of Louisa, Ky., died Jan. 31, 2010, in Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.

She was born Dec. 26, 2007, in Lexington, Ky.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two half brothers, Christopher Stacy and Austin Stacy, both of Logan, W.Va.; a half sister, Kristina Stacy of Stepptown, W.Va.; her maternal grandparent, Kathy Stacy of Louisa; her maternal great-grandmother, Mary Christine Wellman of Louisa; her maternal grandfather, Rick Stacy of Louisa; and her paternal grandfather, Keither Stacy of Wolf Creek, Ky.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Garden of Hope Church in Louisa by Darrell Ratcliff. Burial will be in Wellman cemetery in Busseyville, Ky.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. today at the church.

Young Funeral Home in Louisa is in charge of arrangements.

Orville May
(1914-2010)

Orville May, 95, of Blaine, Ky., passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, in J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa, Ky.

He was born May 16, 1914, in Cherokee, Ky., to the late Albert and Myrtie Kitchen May. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and mechanic for the Kentucky Department of Transportation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Carter May, in 2001 and a daughter, Roberta C. Young.

Surviving are a daughter, Mable M. Cooper of Louisa, Ky.; four grandchildren, Edward (Rowena) Borders of Webbville, Ky., Michael W. (Christy) Cooper of Louisa, Carson (Ida) Young of Webbville and Peggy (Ron) Lewis of Sandy Hook, Ky.; and two great-grandchildren, Renea (Eddie) Callihan of Morehead, Ky., and Payton Cole Cooper of Louisa.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Young Funeral Home in Louisa by the Rev. James Webster. Burial will be in Yatesville Memorial Gardens in Louisa.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Lemaster
1939-2010

James “Martin” Lemaster, 70, of Fort Gay, died Thursday.

He was born March 9, 1939, in Louisa.

His wife, Norma Genevive Godbey Lemaster, survives.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Young Funeral Home in Louisa. Burial will be in Fairchild-Lemaster cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Sam Isaac
1928-2010

Sam J. Isaac, 81, of Fort Gay, died Friday in J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center in Louisa, Ky.

He was born April 21, 1928, in Fort Gay.

His wife, Claria Webb Isaac, survives.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Salt Petre Christian Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lynch cemetery in Fort Gay.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at Young Funeral Home in Louisa.

Winfield Martin
1920-2010

Winfield Martin, 89, of Fort Gay, W.Va., died Jan. 27, 2010, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland, Ky.

He was born June 18, 1920, in Louisa, Ky., a son of the late Bill Martin and Sarah Derefield Martin.

His wife, Mavis Martin, died in 2009.

He was a carpenter foreman with Norfolk Western Railroad, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Salt Petre Christian Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, William “Bill,” and wife Tamala Martin of Argillite, Ky.; two sisters, Lucille Maynard of Mansfield, Ohio, and Laverne Fitzpatrick of Murfeesboro, Tenn.; two grandsons, Nicholas Winfield Martin of Lexington, Ky., and William Tyler Martin of Argillite; and two stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Duckworth of Cordova, Tenn., and Kenneth Brandon Morgan of Lexington.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Salt Petre Christian Baptist Church by the Rev. Richard Maynard and the Rev. Frank Copley.

Burial will be in Lynch cemetery in Salt Petre, W.Va.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Young Funeral Home in Louisa, Ky.

Clifford “Buddy” Frazier Jr.
(1940-2010)

Clifford “Buddy” Frazier Jr., 69, of Lawrence County, Ky., died Friday. He was born May 22, 1940. His wife, Elaine Sturgill Frazier, survives.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery in Louisa. Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by members of W.O. Johnson American Legion Post 89 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6103.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
