Larry Blanton 61, of Oil Springs, passed away Friday at his home. His wife Sandara Blanton is also deceased. Surviving him are his mother, Fay Blanton; 2 sisters: Shirley Blanton & Debbie Botner; 3 brothers: Gary, Melvin Jr., & Jerry Blanton; 2 daughters: Kimberly Borowski & Amanda Howard; 1 son: Willie Blanton; 1 step-son: Anthony Dale; 3 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home. A private ceremony will be held for family and close friends. There will be no visitation but flowers will be accepted at the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Roy Ratliff
Roy Ratliff, age 68, of Paintsville died at his home Tuesday morning. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ella Daniels Ratliff. He is survived by 1 son: Bobby Ratliff of Farmington, GA; 2 daughters: Royce Daniels of Louisa, KY and Victoria Hughes of Paintsville; 2 sisters: Faye Ward of Tip City, OH and Joyce Ann Chenault of Fairborn, OH; 1 brother: Paul Ratliff of Glendale Az; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 11 a.m. in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mayo Memorial cemetery, Paintsville. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 p.m., and 9 a.m. Friday.

Kenneth O'Bryan
Kenneth O達ryan age 73, of Van Lear, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the UK Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou Williams O達ryan. Surviving him are 5 sons: Jim, Jeff, Greg, Gary and Brad O達ryan; 1 daughter: Kimberly Peters; 4 brothers: Robert, Roger, Randall and Rick O達ryan; 3 sister-in-laws: Wanda Sublett, Susie Edwards and Glenda O達ryan; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday March 10, 2013, 1 p.m. at the Beechwall United Baptist Church, Leander. Visitation will be Friday starting at 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday starting at 9 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Emma Rowland
Emma Rowland, 72, of Volga, Ky., passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Carl Rowland; 1 son: Barry (Melissa) Rowland; 1 daughter: Janie (Richie) Pickle; 4 brothers: Clarence, Louie (Betty), Winifred (Kaye), & George Paul (Janet) Salyer; 4 sisters: Edna Williams, Ann (Dick) Barber, Helen Keeton and Orpha (Paul) Childers; and 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 18, 2013 11 a.m. at the Fishtrap United Baptist Church, Staffordsville with burial to follow at the Johnson County Memorial cemetery, Staffordsville. Visitation will be Saturday 4-9 p.m., Sunday 1-9 p.m. and Monday 9 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Schleroderma Foundation in Emma痴 memory by contacting the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Lula Belle Conley
Lula Belle Conley, 73 of Dry Branch, Oil Springs, passed away Sunday morning, April 14th at her home. She is survived by her husband Charles Francis Conley; 2 sons: Anthony and Marcus Conley; 2 daughters: Julia Tackett and Sheila Conley; 3 sisters: Cheryl Collinsworth, Loretta Russell and Flossie Wheeler; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville. Visitation will be Sunday 6-10 p.m., Monday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday 9 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Norma Whitaker
Norma Whitaker, age 96, of Paintsville passed away Thursday evening April 18, 2013 at her home. She is survived by her two daughters: Sophia Slone Layne & Mary Madelyn Baldwin; 2 half-sisters: Patsy Click & Mary Frances Rhoades; 2 half-brothers: Jimmy Ray & Powell Perkins; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandsons and 5 great-great granddaughters. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday April 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Perkins cemetery, Swamp Branch. Visitation will be Saturday 2-9 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Daniel Ferguson
Daniel Ferguson, 65 of Red Bush, passed away Wednesday May 1, 2013 at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Ferguson; 2 sons: Scott Michael & John Lonnie Ferguson; 2 brothers: Fred Oriville Jr. & Tommy Ferguson; 2 sisters: Patty Arms & Kathy Jane Livengood; and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday May 4, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at the Christian Union Independent Church at Keeton with burial to follow at the Salyers Family cemetery, Red Bush. Visitation will be Friday, 12-9 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. at the Church. Arrangements are under direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Ford Hamilton
Ford Hamilton, 81, of Red Bush passed away Wednesday morning at the Community Hospice Center, Ashland, KY. He is survived by his wife, Geneva Ferguson Hamilton; 3 daughters: Carol Vanhoose, Becky (Ronnie) Fyffe, and Betty (Wade) Castle; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 6th at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Milt-Williams cemetery, Red Bush. Visitation will be Sunday 2-9 p.m., and Monday 9 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home. In lieu of the flowers the family requests that donations be made to Community Hospice by contacting the Paintsville Funeral Home at 606-789-5125.

Amalia Delgado
Amalia Delgado, age 94 of Paintsville, passed away Sunday evening at Mountain Manor of Paintsville. She is survived by her daughter: Dr. Penny Grino of Paintsville; one son: Danilo Delgado of LA, California; 1 sister: Elena Apetrior of Pennsylvania; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A mass will be held Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the St. Michaels Catholic Church, Paintsville. Visitation will be Friday 5-9 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the St. Michaels Catholic Church by either contacting the church or the Paintsville Funeral Home 606-789-5125.

Sally Thomas Picklesimer
Sally Thomas Picklesimer, age 72, passed away Saturday evening at her home in staffordsville. She leaves behind her husband, Roy Douglas Picklesimer, 3 sons, 1 daughter and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 28th, 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Reed Family cemetery, at Picklefork/Staffordsville. Visitation will be Monday, 2-9 p.m, & Tuesday 9 a.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home.

Nancy Spriggs
Nancy Spriggs, age 65 of Salyersville passed away Tuesday June 11th at the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her 2 daughters: Joyce Cantrell of Paintsville & Beulah Dillon of High Point, NC; 1 son: Dean Wayne Wright of Pineknot, KY; 1 brother: George Spriggs of Flat Gap, KY; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville. Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Wednesday 5-10 p.m., all day Thursday and Friday 9 a.m.

Fanny J. May
Fanny J. May, age 83 of Paintsville passed away Sunday morning at Mountain Manor of Paintsville. She is preceded in death by her husband Arnold May, parents: Ulysses and Lucy Ann Blair, 2 daughters and 3 sons. She leaves behind 1 daughter: Wanda Younce of Paintsville; 1 son: Arnold Keith May of Mt. Sterling; 1 sister: Arlene Ward Castle of Paintsville; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19th in the chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Johnson County Memorial cemetery, Staffordsville. Visitation will be begin Monday 5-9 p.m, Tuesday 9-9 p.m., and Wednesday 9 a.m.

Marie Rice
Marie Rice, 91, of Oil Springs, died early Monday morning. She is the widow of Earl Rice. She is survived by 1 son, Willard Rice; 2 daughters, Gladys Rice and Barbara Whitaker; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Evvie Wright; and one brother, Hager Caudill. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with burial in the Rice Family cemetery, Oil Springs. Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Tuesday 5 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday 9 a.m.

Richard Scott Thomas
Richard Scott Thomas, 87 of Hager Hill, died Saturday. He is survived by 1 son, Richard Earl Thomas; 1 daughter, Bronwyn Hodgson; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 step-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Billie Sue King
Billie Sue King, 66, of Van Lear, died Monday morning at her home. She is survived by her son, Roger Wayne Herald King & wife Hilda; 2 grandsons; mother, Imogene Wells Sammons; l sister, Alice Sammons; a special cousin, Sarah Butcher; and several other cousins. Gravesite services will be conducted Friday 11 a.m. at the Webb-Butcher cemetery, Van Lear, KY. Visitation will be at the Paintsville Funeral Home Wed. 4 to 8 p.m., and Thurs. 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Marlene Crigger
Marlene Crigger, 68, of Tutor Key, the wife of Eugene Crigger, passed away Tuesday morning at her home. She leaves behind her husband Eugene; 2 sons: James Kevin Crigger of Lexington & Jason Eugene Crigger of Salyersville; 2 brothers: Russell Borders Jr. of California & Don Borders of Flat Gap; and 1 grandson. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday August 8th 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with burial to follow at the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville. Friends may visit the Paintsville Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-9 p. m. and Thursday 9 a.m. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund by contacting the church or the Paintsville Funeral Home 606-789-5125.
