Pricie Belle {Fitch} Mills
On Wednesday, July 10, 2012 at 7:45 am, our lives were forever changed when the Lord called our angel home.
Pricie Belle {Fitch} Mills, 68, 0f Big Elk Creek passed on at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY after courageously a lengthy illness.
She was born November 22, 1944 to the late Reverend Boyd and Julie {Crum} Fitch. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Fitch; two sisters, Betty Horn and Thelma Parsley; a special nephew, Boyd Parsley; and three unborn grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, William Leroy Mills; two sons and daughters-in-law: William Leroy Jr. and Phyllis Mills, Arnold Douglas and Linda Mills, all of Martin County; four daughters and sons-in-law: Kathie Ann and Michael Pack of Cleveland, OH, Oma Sue and Ebie Lowe, Pricie Lynn and James Kazee, and Sharon Kay and Ray Staton Jr. all of Martin County; one very special niece, whom she considered a daughter, Julie Renee Fitch of Columbus, OH; ten grandchildren and a grandson due this November, four great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild due in the spring of 2014; two brothers, Paul Fitch of Columbus, OH, and Curtis Kirk of Delbarton, WV; two sisters, Oma Fields, and Joyce Fields, both of Columbus, OH as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pricie was a loving, giving, and caring person. She truly loved the Lord and left behind a wonderful testimony. She will be terribly missed by her family, friends, and loved ones.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 pm, Thursday and Friday night, and Saturday until time of services at Gospel Light Freewill Baptist Church, Big Elk Creek.
The funeral will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday. The Reverends Bill Messer and Dave {Goober} Copley will be officiating. The grandsons will be the pallbearers. Burial will follow at the Fitch Family cemetery on Big Elk Creek.

Nella H. Dempsey
Nella H. Dempsey, 88 passed away on July 4th, 2013, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, West Virginia. She was a retired public school English teacher who taught twenty years and was especially fond of teaching literature at Inez High School. She also worked in a general store owned by her parents, John G. Hardin and Josephine Blakenship Hardin.
She was also very active at Inez First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for thirty-four years, Bible school for twenty-one years, and was church clerk for two decades. Her late husband Albert passed away in 2010. She is survived by one son, Al.
Funeral services will be held at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home in Inez on Monday, July 8th, 2013 at 1:00pm with Brother Sam Schmidt and Brother Paul Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at the Green Lawn cemetery in Louisa, Kentucky. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 7th, 2013 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

Fannie Buskirk
Fannie Buskirk, 77, formerly of Attica, OH, died at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin, OH Friday, August 9, 2013, under the care of Community Hospice.
Fannie was born in Inez, KY July 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Isaac and Bessie Delong Goble.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Warnie Buskirk, Dec. 26, 1972; her daughters, Phyllis Krause and Deborah Buskirk; son, Warnie Kenneth Buskirk; siblings, Lenzie Goble, Ira Goble, Cecil Goble, Elzie Goble, Minzie Hill, Earnest Goble, Sarah Sward, George Goble, Nathan Goble, and Louemma Goble.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda [Ron] Nutter, Tiffin, OH; a son, Randy [Cathy] Buskirk, Bloomville, OH; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; her sister, Cora Crabtree, Lucasville, OH; and his brother, Russel Goble, Inez, KY.
Fannie was a homemaker and had worked in various occupations. She was a member of Butternut Ridge Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, Aug. 12, 2013. at the Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue, OH. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wed., Aug. 14, 2013, with visitation from noon until time of the funeral at Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez. KY. Burial will follow in the Buskirk cemetery, Inez, KY.
Memorials may be made to Butternut Ridge Church of Christ or community Hospice of Tiffin, OH.

Lilemon Ferguson
Lilemon Ferguson 72, of Crum, West Virginia past way on Sunday, August 11th, 2013 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Kentucky. He was born on September 9th, 1940 on West Virginia to the late Jimmy Ferguson and Elsie Allen Ferguson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Ferguson and four siblings, Kenneth Ferguson, Clayton Ferguson, Kelly Ferguson and Bruce Ferguson.
Lilemon, is survived by his children, Julia (Matthew) Muncy of Kermit, Jimmy Ferguson, Elsie Ferguson and Lisa Ferguson all of Ohio, one brother, Clinton Ferguson of Florida, four sisters, Eloise Pinsorbarger, Victoria Ferguson, Wanda Messer all of Ohio and Bonnie Ferguson of Stepptown.
Funeral services will be held at the Warfield Chapel of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home in Warfield, Kentucky on Friday, August 16th at 11:00am with Ken and Jess Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Williams cemetery in Jennies Creek, West Virginia. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 14th starting at 2:00pm and Thursday, August 15th. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.

Linda Whitt
Linda Whitt of Martin County passed away at her home on Monday, August 12th, 2013. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later time.

James Lewis Sturgill
James Lewis Sturgill, Sr. 72 years old, a disabled coal miner, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his home following a long illness. He was born on November 27, 1940 in West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Okey Sturgell and Emma Vance, a son, James Lewis Sturgill Jr., five sisters, Alberta Hannah, Roberta Maynard, Phoebe Copley, Betty Smith and Virginia Helms as well as two brothers, Joe Sturgell and Gary David Sturgell.
James is survived by his wife; Bessie (Messer) Sturgill, daughter, Paula (Robert) Brewer and son, Danny Joe (Lisa) Sturgill all of Kermit, WV; 12 brothers; Jude (Loretta) Vance, Joe (Tammy) Vance, Leonard (Linda) Vance, and Earl (Paula) Vance all of Kermit, WV, Tony Vance of Pataskala, OH, Sherman (Judy) Sturgell of Delbarton, WV, Charles and Okey Lee Sturgell of Crum, WV, Ivan (Sharon) Sturgell of Ohio, Albert, Harold (Bertha) and Jennings (Ollie) Sturgell of Ft. Gay, WV as well as 2 sisters, Alice (Roy) Messer and Minnie Fitzpatrick both of Kermit, WV. Seven Grandchildren; Jeremy Sturgill and Bradley (Barbara) Sturgill, Tyler (Chelsea) Sturgill, Kerry (LeAnn) Sturgill, Brock Chapman, Coltin and Briana Brewer all of Kermit, WV as well as Nicholas Newsome of Williamson, WV and seven great grandchildren; Braeden and Tanner Sturgill of Ft. Gay, WV, Arabella Sturgill of Crum, WV, Karter and Kooper Sturgill and Zoey and Joda Sturgill all of Kermit, WV.
Funeral services will on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield Chapel with Matthew Crum, Delbert Crum, and Keith Brumfield officiating. Burial to follow in the Sturgill cemetery on Marrowbone Creek Road, Rt. 1 Kermit, WV. Visitation will be from 6-10pm Sunday at the funeral home with special services at 7:00pm. Arrangements are under the care of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.

James Albert Blackburn
James Albert Blackburn 61, of Inez, Ky passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at home surrounded by family. He was born on May 22, 1952 in Martin County, KY to the Late James Epp and Alice Scott Blackburn. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Burgess Delong and one sister, Sylvia McGinnis. James was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing and he passed these skills down to his family and friends. He spent his younger years working in the coal industry until he was disabled in 1989.
James is survived by his long time companion of 37 years, Vicky Mayhan of Inez, Ky as well as one son, Chris (Linda) Blackburn of Tomahawk, KY, three grandchildren, Joseph Blackburn, Trevor Blackburn, and Emily Blackburn all of Tomahawk, KY as well as two brothers, Fayette (Shirley) Blackburn of Debord, KY and Edsel (Carolyn) Blackburn of Johnstown, OH. James also leaves behind his four sisters, Voneda Blackburn of Inez, KY, Ida (Jim) Porter of Debord, KY, Marie (Cliff) Browning of Chilicothe, OH, and Rowena (Kenneth) Fletcher of Hardy, KY as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, with Joe Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackburn cemetery of Inez, KY. Visitation will be from 6-10pm Sunday and Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.

Charles Parsley
Charles Parsley, 91, of Kermit, WV went to meet his dear savior on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. He was a timber man and loved the outdoors. He was born June 16, 1922 in Wayne County WV to the late Taylor and Hattie Marcum Parsley. He was preceded in death by brother Lee Bailey, sisters Sadie Williams, Martha Eary, and Mable Porter. He is survived by his wife Ivery Parsley, one brother; Homer (Lucille) Parsley of New Albany, OH. In addition to his wife and brother are two sons: Ralph (Pam) Parsley, Ricky (Mary) Parsley both of Kermit, WV; three daughters: Arthena (Claude) Woolridge of Charleston, SC, Kathy (Manny) Rose of Kermit, WV, Dica Ann (Bob) Johnson of Paintsville, KY. He is also survived by four grandsons; Travis (Katrina) Parsley of Beauty, KY, Dustin (Courtney) Parsley of Nitro, WV, Tyron (Geneva) Parsley, Ryan (Sara) Rose both of Kermit, WV, and one granddaughter; Shelley (Adam) Francis of Hatfield, KY. He was also blessed with five great-grandchildren: Cody, Braxton, Riley, Scarlett, and Ella. Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, 2013 after 6pm for friends at the Marrowbone Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Friday, November 15, 2013 at 1pm at the church. Burial will follow at the Rosetown family cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.

Kelly Maynard
Kelly Maynard 79, of Inez, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, November 13th, 2013 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, KY. He was born in Martin County on October 14th, 1934 to the late Anderson and Ida Stepp Maynard. In addition to his parents, Kelly is preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Bowen Maynard, sisters, Frankie Dials, Mary Magdalene Carter, and Laudie Davis and brothers, David Maynard, Claude Maynard and Watson Ray Maynard.
He is survived by sons, Andy (Kathy) Maynard, Allmon (Rachel) Maynard and Edgar (Rebecca) Maynard, daughters, Pammy (Frank) Carter, Tammy (Tony) Spence, Clarienda Maynard and Ida (Jay) Mullins. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16th, 2013 at 1:00pm at the Big Elk United Baptist Church with Jr. Presley and Darrel Combs officiating. Burial will follow at the family cemetery in Inez, Kentucky. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday, November 14th and Friday, November 15th, 2013. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, Kentucky.

Dorothy Mae Slone
Dorothy Mae Slone 56, of Prestonsburg, KY formerly of Inez, KY passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. She was born on Feb. 24, 1957 in Martin County, KY she was a daughter of Waueka Delong. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Danielle Miller of Prestonsburg, KY and Melissa Meade of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by her 2 grandchildren; Joshua Miller and Molly Miller. Dorothy is also survived by her siblings, Cathy Parsons of Inez, KY and Charlotte Albert of Marion, OH.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:00am at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY with Chad Blair. Burial will follow in the Slone cemetery on Split Rock Hollow Road, Inez, Ky. Visitation will be from 6-9pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
