The funeral will be at 2 pm wednesday at Tim Stewart Funeral Home Lawrenceville Chapel.

Burial will be in Gwinnett Memorial Park Lawrenceville.

Miss Bain, a native of Bell County Ky. was a homemaker.

Survivors include brother Tom Rice, Auburn. sisters Mollie Williams , Middlesboro Ky., Ophia Rogers Pensacola Fla., and Norma Urian Pensacola Fla.

Friends may call from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm today at the Funeral Home.

Baker, Kitty Sue Dunn

Pineville - Kitty Sue Dunn Baker, 46 went home to be with Jesus on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville

She was born in Pineville on Aug. 23, 1959, the daughter of Gaye Hester Posey Dunn and the late Johnny Ira Dunn.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended services at both Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church and New Life House of Prayer in Middlesboro.

She had been a homemaker.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mattie Louise Rhodes, brothers, Ray Honeycutt and John Oren Dunn and nephews, James Wendell Mills and Fred Ira Dunn, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Baker of Pineville; son, James Smith of Middlesboro; grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Smith and Johnny Ira Smith of Middlesboro; her mother, Gaye Hester Dunn; step-son and his wife, Travis and Jennifer Baker of Pineville; step-granddaughter, Hannah; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Faye and Orville Alford of Pineville, Frances and Roger Sharp, Sandra and Ted Fuson, James Noah and Karen Dunn, and the Rev. Bill and Rosemary Dunn, all of Middlesboro, and Fred and Mary Ann Dunn of Pineville; parents-in-law, Howard and Betty Baker of Barbourville; and a host of nieces and nephews, who are all special to Kitty.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Laurel Hill Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Hubert Baker and the Rev. Clyde Patterson presiding.

Music will be by her niece, Amanda Carter.

Burial will be in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville. Pallbearers will be Orville Alford, Bill David Dunn, Travis Baker, Justin Dunn, Roger Sharp, David Patterson, Greg Carter, and family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be her son, James Smith and her brothers, James Dunn, Bill Dunn and Fred Dunn.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.

Smith, Ford

ARJAY - Ford Smith passed away Friday, June 11, 2004, at Pineville Community Hospital.

He was born April 12, 1930, at Arjay, a son of the late Albert Smith and America Harris Smith. He was a truck driver, and he believed in the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scotty Lane Smith; ex-wife, Amanda Jones Smith; four brothers, Clell Smith, Clarence Smith, Claiborne Smith, Paul Smith; one sister, Myrtle Smith laws; and one granddaughter, Nancy Asher Slusher.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Charlotte H. Smith, Arjay; three daughters, Patricia Asher and husband, ODell of Arjay, Tabitha Yvonne Miller Smith of Arjay, Tiffany Jonella Raby and husband, Jack Daniels of Arjay; one brother, Slusher "Shortley" Smith and wife, Mary Betty, of Arjay; special cousins, William "Bill" Lynch and Nile "Jake" Harris, both of Arjay; grandchildren, Angela Asher Goodin, Nancy Elizabeth Asher Slusher, Kenny ODell Asher, Brandon Scott Miller, Gregory Lee Miller II, Latoshia Lashay Holland, Sydney (Paige) Raby, Ethan (LeRoy) Daniel Raby; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arjay Baptist Church with the Revs. Taylor Adams and Richard Hall presiding. Burial will be in the Asher Family cemetery at Rella. Pallbearers will be Michael Fleming, Jack Daniels Raby, Kenny Odell Asher, Jimmy Goodin, Dustin Goodin, Dewayne Laws, and John Wineberger. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Talmadge V. Hays, T.J. Asher, Johnny Asher, Bill Carnes, and Tony Raby.

The family will receive friends after 12 p.m. (noon) Monday at Arjay Baptist Church.

Smith, James Dale

HARROGATE, Tenn. — James Dale Smith, age 51 of Harrogate, Tennessee, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Middlesboro ARH Hospital.

He was born December 28, 1956 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to the late James Garfield Smith and Pearlie Sturdivant Smith.

He was of the Holiness faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith, and a niece, Jo Hannah Medley.

Survivors include the following: Wife of 21 years, Lisa Patterson Smith, Harrogate, Tenn.; daughter, Sheena Smith & Fiance Andy Adkins, Harrogate, Tenn.; step-sons: Jody Brock, Harrogate, Tenn., Clayton & Tony Sandifer, Tazewell, Tenn.; brothers: Frank (Penny) Smith, Middlesboro, Ky., Jerry Carson Smith, Monroe, Mich.; sisters: Dossie Kamleh, Tazewell, Tenn., Dessie (Gaither) Medley, Speedwell, Tenn.; sister-in-law: Debbie (Johnny) Patterson, Virginia; brother-in-law: David (Cindy) Patterson, Middlesboro, Ky.; father-in-law: Ancil Patterson; nieces & nephews: Dana (Mike) Collett, Harrogate, Tenn., Allison Medley, Indiana, Jeremy & Wesley Patterson, Virginia, Whitney Patterson, Middlesboro, Ky., Leah Kamleh, Tazewell, Tenn., Wayne, Jimmy, Kathy, James, Larry Dale, Patty, Sheila, Julie, and Carol, all of Michigan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Lyke, Rev. Mike Padgett and Rev. Keith Medley presiding. Music will be provided by Glenda Duffield, Teresa Saylor and Lisa Gambrel. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of the Logan Corporation and the Rev. Randy Phelps. The family of Mr. Smith will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel.

Creech Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Smith, Judy Carnes

Judy Smith, 60, passed away Monday, August 2, 2004, at Britthaven of Pineville.

She was born March 7, 1944, in Detroit, Mich., a daughter of the late Walter Carnes and Fannie Smith Carnes. She believed in the Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ben and Lonnie Carnes; and one sister, Cora Warren.

Survivors include her husband, Birchell Smith, Arjay; two sons, Birchell Smith Jr., Arjay, and Michael Dewayne Smith, Arjay; five sisters, Mary Warren, Arjay, Carolyn Hubbard, Straight Creek, Wanda Neal, Straight Creek, Ruby Downy, Ohio, Freida Pursifull, East Pineville; six brothers, Doyle Carnes, Arjay, Donnie Carnes, Arjay, Hayse Carnes, Ohio, Ken Carnes, Pineville, Ernie Carnes, Pineville, and Carl Carnes, Pineville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Creech-Durham Funeral Home with the Rev. George Neal presiding.

Burial will be in Wallsend cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Creech-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, which is in charge of arrangements.

Beverly, Arthur (Archie)

White Mountain — Arthur Beverly, 67, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Dewitt, Ky., on April 24, 1937, the son of the late Richard and Dora Reynolds Beverly. He was a retired coal miner of 30 years and a member of the Arjay Pentecostal Church of God, of the Holiness Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Flem and Jim Beverly, and Floyd Warren, sisters, Ada Garland and Ellen Beverly and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Delphia Jones Beverly; five children, Melvin and Geraldine Beverly, Sandra and Adron Wilson, Sheila and Tim Lewis, Marvin and Dianne Beverly, and Mark and Linda Beverly; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brothers, Britten Beverly, Eugene and Hazel Warren, Oscar and Ruby Beverly and Charlie Warren; sisters, Viola and Robert Lewis, Gladys and Hubert Hooker, Lindie Taylor, Minnie Hooker and Alice Smith; mother-in-law, Verna Jones, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Beverly, Jewell Beverly, Helen and Rex Powers and Glenda Jones; brothers-in-law, Charlie and Kathleen Jones, and Floyd and Audrey Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Arjay Pentecostal Church of God with the Rev. James Roark and the Rev. Gary Wagner presiding.

Burial will be in the Beverly cemetery at White Mountain.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Anthony, Dustin, Randall, Toby and Aaron Beverly, Adron Wilson Jr., Tim Lewis and Cheyenne Kindle.

The family will receive friends from 5 -9 p.m. Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Arjay Pentecostal Church of God.

Beverly, Ruby Jewell

Ruby Jewell Beverly, 76, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2006, at the Oaktree Hospital in Corbin.

She was born in Four Mile on July 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Gertrude Miller Smith.

She believed in the Pentecostal faith and had been a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Flem Beverly; her mother, Gertrude Smith; a brother, Gene King; and a grandson, Hershel David Lawson.

Survivors include her children, Bobby and Phyllis Beverly of Stoney Fork, Callie and Luther Gambrel of Miracle, Brenda and David Lawson of Hulen, Larry and Melissa Beverly of Kettle Island, and Gail and Kenneth Lawson of Hulen; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, with the Rev. David Howard and the Rev. Herstel Belcher.

Music will be by Joy Belcher and the Blackmont Church Choir.

Burial will be in the Beverly cemetery on White Mountain in Arjay. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.

Blanton, Doxie Lorene Brock
Doxie Lorene Brock Blanton, 91

BRODHEAD, Ky. - Doxie Lorene Brock Blanton, 91, passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2006 at her home.

Born July 25, 1915, in Lincoln County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Brock and Nora Lefevers Brock.

She was of the Holiness faith, a housewife, a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed quilting, flowers, sewing and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carsel Blanton; two children, Roy Lee Blanton and Shirley Blanton Burton; three grandchildren, Jerry Lee Cash, Bryan David Blanton and Melissa Jolene Sebree Kellar; five brothers, John, Ben, Denver, Ernest and Walter Brock; five sisters, Roxie Bowling, Vina Benge, Virgie Spoonamore, and infant sisters, Shirley and Myrtle Brock; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Those left to mourn her passing include her children, Mildred Hunt, Mt. Vernon, Ky., Christeen (Walter) Cash, Brodhead, Lena (Simon) Griffin, Dayton, Ohio, Paul Edward Blanton, Brodhead, Viola Sebree, Brodhead, Carsel Junior (Linda) Blanton, Mt. Vernon, Ky., Geneva (Bill) Hall, Ripley, Ohio, David (Goldie) Blanton, Brodhead, Irene Watson, Frankfort, Ky., Earl Phillip (Opal) Blanton, Brodhead; 28 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Matilda "Tee: Proffitt, Reading, Ohio, and Opal Parrish, Lockland, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 2 p.m. at Marvin E. Owens Funeral Home Chapel with speakers being Audy Faulkner and Sylvester Carpenter.

Burial was in Negro Creek cemetery.

Casketbearers were Jeff Hunt, Rodney Blanton, Stephen Sebree, Heath, Watson, Eddie Blanton, and Scott Griffin.

Honorary pallbearers were Mark, Bobby, Ralph, Stanley and Barry Blanton, Audy Faulkner, Edward Hopkins, Colman, Bryan and Keith Lefevers, and Gabe Howard.

Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday prior to services.

CYNTHIANA, Ky. - 73, formerly of Bell County, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at his home. Born Oct. 20, 1931, at Stoney Fork, he was the son of the late Milburn and Bertha Sizemore Brock.

He retired after 31 years at General Motors, where he worked in the paint department.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bennett Troy Brock; his brothers and sisters, Esther Rice, Revea Sizemore, Raymond Howard, Reed Howard, Ralph Howard and Ella Belcher.

Survivors include his children, Mona Lissa Hoffman, Glyn Brock and Arnold Brock; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; companion, Freda Brock; brothers and sisters, Loretta and Claude Bailey, Gillie and Wilalene Brock, Jeannie and James Wallace and Bentley Brock; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow in the Battle Grove cemetery at Cynthiana.

Pallbearers will include Glyn Brock Jr., Jerry George, Eddie Brock, Gillie Junior Brock, Ernest Brock, James Parker and Johnnie Parker.

Visitation was from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, which is in charge of the arrangements.
