Lefevers, Bobby Jean

Bobby Jean Lefevers, one-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lefevers, Kettle Island, died Monday August 2nd at Pineville Community Hospital.

She is survived by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cot, Jensen, Ky., and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lefevers, Kettle Island, Ky., and one brother, Fred Earnest Lefevers.

Lefevers, Brenda Sue Bond

Brenda Sue Lefevers, 52 of Pineville passed away on Wednesday, June 27 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on February 28, 1955 a daughter of the late Nancy Adams and Franklin Bond, Sr. She was a mother, a homemaker and had worked at Pineville Community Hospital for fifteen years. She believed in the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Bond, Jr. and father and mother-in-law, Bud and Beatrice Lefevers.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Larry Lefevers of Pineville; children and their spouses, Shaun and Jessica Lefevers and Christina and Dustin Daniels all of Pineville; grandchildren, Kasey, Brandi and Natasha Hunter, Alexis and Lauran Lefevers all of Pineville; brothers and sisters, Charles Michael Bond of Pennsylvania, Norman Fredelake, Kelly Hensley and Cheri Fredelake all of Owenton, KY, Patricia Lefevers of Oregon and Carol Warren of California; brothers-in-law, Mike and Harold Lefevers and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 29 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville with Dr. Steven Morgan officiating. Music will be by Mickey Wilder. Burial will follow in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in Pineville.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville which is in charge of arrangements.

Lefevers, Cam

PINEVILLE -- Mr. Cam Lefevers, 76, of Stoney Fork, died Dec. 18 at the Pineville Community Hospital.

He was the son of the late Millard and Alifair Gross Lefevers, was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA, and the Southern Labor Union, and a member and deacon of the Mill Creek Baptist Church.

His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Alma Herrin Lefevers of Stoney Fork; three daughters, Mrs. Lawanda Brock, Mrs. Sue Couch and Mrs. Gail Brock, all of Stoney Fork; two brothers, Mr. Scott Lefevrs, Lockport, Ill., and Mr. James Lefevers, Clinton, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Betty Lasley, Jenson, Ky.; six grandchildren, Mrs. Pamela Collett, Mrs. Jana Caruso and Mr. Micheal Brock, who made their home with him, Gregory Brock and Jason and Stacy Couch; and four great-grandchildren, Mark, Heather, Amanda and Justin.

Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Mill Creek Baptist Church, with the Revs. Ray Collett and Ronald howard presiding. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be is nephews, Honarary pallbearers will be Dr. Emanuel Rader, Dr. Talmadge V. Hayes, Dr. James Golden, and the men of his church.

The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. today at the Mill Creek Baptist.

Durham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lefevers, Carrie M. Howard

Mrs. Lefevers Rites Sunday

Services for Mrs. Carrie M Lefevers, 62, Harlan, who died Friday at Harlan Memorial Hospital after a short illness, will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Anderson & Laws Funeral Home.

A resident here 40 years, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. John A Morris, Harlan; three nephews, Byon M Morris and Edward F Morris, Jacksonville, Fla., and Kenneth Howard, US Navy, Paris, France; and one niece, Mrs. Ernest Morgan, Hallsboro, NC.

She was a native of Bell County.

The body will remain iat the funeral home until the funeral hour. Pallbearers are Glenn Durham, Ulys Fisher, Jr., George Pollitte, Fred Moore, Homer Howard, Charles Lovell, John Hemphill, ES Gregory, Sid Holder, and Fred E Howard.

Burial will be in the Family cemetery at Straight Creek.

Lefevers, Charles Edward

LeFevers, Charles Edward, 53, Died Tuesday in St. Louis, Missouri.

He lived at 204 South Cardinal Lane, St. Charles, Missouri.

He was born in Bell County, Kentucky, the son of the late William and Kathleen LeFevers, an employee of the Contact Beverage Packers, and served in WWII with the Army Air Force.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy Golliher Lefevers, three sons, Charles Lefevers, Lexington, Paul and Jerry Lefevers, St. Louis, Missouri, two daughters, Mrs. Betty Webber, Mrs Ann Gree, both of Flint Michigan, three brothers, Gabe Lefevers and Henry Lefevers, both of Straight Creek, Kentucky. Pearl Lefevers, Hamilton, Ohio, four sisters, Mrs. Lena Grace, Kettle Island, Kentucky, Mrs. Phermia Filer, Middlesboro, Kentucky, Mrs. Julia Barton, Hamilton, Ohio, Mrs. Lillian Keck, Norwood, Ohio.

The body will be brought to Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.

Lefevers, Charles Reed

KETTLE ISLAND -- Charles Reed Lefevers, 69, passed away Sunday, May 8, 1994, at his home.

He was born Nov. 20, 1924, at Kettle Island, a son of the late Charley and Mattie (Nunn) Lefevers. On June 15, 1945 he was united in marriage to Frankie Lee Johnson and to this union seven children were born.

He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Biloxi from 1943 until Dec. 9, 1945. He worked as a lumber grader for Ritter Lumber Company and Marshall Lumber Company for 25 years. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. He was later united in marriage to Virgie Honeycutt.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Lee Lefevers, and two grandsons, Michael Caleb Lefevers and Wayne Lawson.

Survivors include three daughters and four sons: Sharon Lee Lefevers Shores and husband, Jack, of Chilbowie, Va., Norma Jean Lefevers Doenges and husband, Doug, of Fort Wayne, Ind., Mary Kathleen Lefevers Lawson and husband, Phillip, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Billy Charles Lefevers of Lexington, Ky., Jacky Clyde Lefevers of Kettle Island, Michael Lefevers of Kettle Island and Timothy Wayne Lefevers of Arjay; six sisters, Pauline Lefevers Bennett, Coshocion, Ohio, Bonnie Lefevers Elliott, Pineville, Willie Lefevers Hoskins, Coldiron, Ky., Mary Lefevers Elliott, Barbourville, Ky., Barbara Lefevers Burnett, Connersville, Ind., Margaret Lefevers Brock, East Liverpool, Ohio; two brothers, Fred Earnest Lefevers, Kettle Island, Sonny Lefevers, Harrogate, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and many friends and relatives to mourn his passing.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Coldiron and B.F. Jackson presiding. Burial will be in Lefevers cemetery at Kettle Island. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Lefevers, Charles

Charles Lefevers aged 21 years, a son of Tip Lefevers, died at Kettle Island one day last week after a short illness of typhoid fever. The remains were intered in the family graveyard on Straight Creek.

Lefevers, Charley

Mr. Charley Lefevers, 80, of Kettle Island passed away January 12, 1975. He was born on May 4, 1894 in Bell County. He was the son of the late Sonny LaFevers and Haley Lefevers. His wife preceded him in death in November of 1970 and one sister, France Levers, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include six daughters, Pauline Bennett, Coschton, Ohio; Bonnie Elliott, Pineville; Willie Hoskins, Molus, Ky.; Mary Elliott, Barbourville; Barbara Burnett, Connorsville, Ind., Margaret Brock, Winterpark, Fla.; four sons, Sonny, Charles, Fred and Tony, all of Kettle Island; seven sisters, Carrie Osborne, Cincinnati, Ohio; Sarah Cash, Lucy Butts, and Vergie Howard, all of Crab Orchard; Lilly Lawson, Bessie Neil, both of Stoney Fork; and Mildred Collett, Pineville; five brothers, Adarian Osborne, Dwyatt Osborne, U.S. Osborne, all of Crab Orchard; Farmer Lefevers, Stoney Fork; and Otis Lefevers, Kettle Island; 26 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted today, 2 p.m. at the Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Collett, Otto Brock and W.B. Bingham officiating.

Interment will be in the Lefevers cemetery, Kettle Island.

Charlie Lefevers, 35 of St. Creek, Ky. passed away September 28, 1970.

He is survived by is wife Mrs. Bytha Lee Elliott Lefevers, Straight Creek; his mother, Mrs. Maudie Baker, Helton, Ky.; two step- daughters, Linda Brock, Bledsoe, Ky., Vickie Smith, of Straight Creek; 3 stepsons, Carl, Eddie and Johnny Smith of Straight Creek, Ky.; 4 sisters, Lottie Brock, War Branch, Ky., Effie Brock, Mrs. Cloe Brock, both of helton, Ky., and Mrs. Tildie Belcher of Straight Creek; 2 brothers, Walter, of Chicago, Ill., and Chester Lefevers of Straight Creek; one step-granddaughter Roxianna Brock.

The funeral will be held today, October 1, 1970 at 1:00 in the Greenhill Church of God with the Rev. Thea O. Carter and George Neal officiating.

Interment will be in the Rye Cove cemetery at War Branch.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family. Arnett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lefevers, Charlotte Frost

Mrs. Charlotte Frost Lefevers, age 64, a life ong resident of Kettle Island, Ky., passed away Friday, June 15, 1984, at the Pineville Community Hospital.

She was born May 7, 1920 at Kettle Island, Ky., the daughter of the late George Frost and Mollie Brock Frost and stepdaughter of the late John P. Brock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eulis G. Lefevers and one half brother, Quie Ford.

She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 daughters, Miss Karen D. Lefevers, Indianapolis, Ind; Mrs. Janet Brooks, Milford, Ohio; 3 sons, Coleman Lefevers and Keith Lefevers, both of Kettle Island; Bryan Lefevers, Indianapolis, Ind.; 2 daughters-in-law, Deanna and Phyllis Lefevers, Kettle Island; 1 son-in-law, George Brooks, Milford, Ohio; 3 brothers, Kenneth Frost, Oak Ridge, Tenn., Steve J Frost and George Frost, Jr., both of Kettle Island; 1 half-sister, Mae Penix, Greerfield, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Don, Toni, Charles, Eddie, Eric, Mike, Missy, Carole, Tammy, Kathy, and Mary.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lefevers will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, 1984 at the Mill Creek Baptist Church with Reverends Ray Collett and Ronald Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Burning Springs cemetery, Kettle Island, Ky. Serving as pallbearers will be her first cousins, her grandsons and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Dunham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lefevers, Chester

Straight Creek, KY -- Chester Lefevers, a retired truck driver of Straight Creek, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 1999 at Pineville Community Hospital. He was 67.

Funeral service for Mr. Lefevers was Saturday, July 10, 1999 at Durham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Neal and Rev. Walter Brock officiating. Music was by Sister Joyce Cox.

Burial was in the Lefevers family cemetery at Straight Creek, Kentucky. Pallbearers were friends and family members.

In addition to his parents, Johnny Lefevers and Maudie Lefevers, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Lefevers.

Chester Lefevers was born January 25, 1932, at Red Bird, Kentucky. He was a retired truck driver.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, John Lefevers and Gary Lefevers, both of Straight Creek, KY; one daughter, Sharon Bolton, Straight Creek, KY; two sisters, Effie Brock and Chloea Brock; four grandchildren, Jeannie Simpson, Michael Noah Bolton, Angela Lefevers, and Nick Lefevers; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, Kentucky, was in charge of arrangements.

Lefevers, China Couch

Barbourville, Ky. -- China Couch Lefevers, 88, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 1997 at Columbia Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

She was born in Bell County on May 18, 1909, a daughter of the late Solomn and Elizabeth Saylor Brock.

She was a retired factory worker and of the Holiness faith.

She was united in marriage to Hobert Lefevers who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, two daughters, three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hampton Funeral Home with the Revs Theo Carter and Mervil Newman officiating.

Burial will be in the Green Hills cemetery in Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Grubbs, Clayton Grubbs, Casey Vaughn and harold Payne.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Hampton Funeral Home in Barbourville, Ky.

Lefevers, Clyde

Clyde LeFevers, 71, of Hustonville Road died today at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born April 19, 1929, in Crab Orchard, he was son of the late Milt and Mintie Blanton LeFevers. He was a heavy equipment operator and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby McDaniel LeFevers, a son, Milton LeFevers of Danville; two daughters, Linda Kerr of Columbia and Mary Katherine Adams of Indianapolis; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Donnie R. LeFevers.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is after 4 p.m. Sunday.
